We also enroled in their after-sale service contracts. In 2026, during the heat wave, at a temp of 114F, one unit malfunctioned. A service tech dtermined that the problem was the unit's fan motor. The part was under warranty, but not the labor. The cost to replace it was $13,000 which I paid in advance. When the tech with the replacement part came to install the fan motor, he determined the root cause of the problem was a coil tem sensor that regulates fan speed. He went away and cam back 2 hrs later with the temp sensor replacement. I theen was charged $600 for the labvor associated with the temp sensor replacement although the part was installed b the same tech at the same time as the fan motor. So my fila cost was almost $2,000! I have sincve cancelled my sevice contracts with JD Now.

We hired Lloyd to redo our shower system, replace three water shut-off valves, and fix a broken…read moretoilet flange as part of a bathroom remodel. Out of all the jobs that he was hired to do, none were done correctly. First, the shower system and the shut-off valves were installed using Sharkbite push-to-connect fittings which are typically a DIY solution and are far less reliable compared to the standard methods for installing on CPVC and Pex piping. We know from talking to other plumbers that Sharkbite is not what professional plumbers would use in this setting. Second, he claimed that the broken toilet flange could only be replaced by cutting open the ceiling below, which i did not want to do. He ended up installing a $5 spanner flange on top of the broken flange (see pic). Again, this is something a DIY-er could easily do. We asked another plumber afterwards and he told us that the toilet flange could have been replaced without having to open the ceiling below. Lloyd charged us $700 for the parts and labor on this job. We communicated our concerns to Lloyd over email after finding out about the subpar work, but unfortunately we never got any response. We had to pay again to have the work re-done by a professional to ensure our peace of mind that the job was done correctly. I hope this review is useful to anyone who is looking to purchase his services.

They don't try to pressure me on additional services; I do the annual maintenance plan and they come out and sometimes they see something and recommend something proactive, and I say "I'll wait this time, but remind me next time" and they are fine with that. Have never had a problem getting them to come out and diagnose when it was hot as hell and the AC drain clogged up or a fuse blew. When I was getting quotes, my uncle said "go with your gut on who you think is the best company" and I was not wrong.
