I've always got my orders delivered..... it was pretty great. So I can't wait to dine in one day to get it fresh out the oven for the best experince. Typically I got the large pizza and wings.....My first batch of wings were EXCELLENT. I ordered the wings 2 more times it tasted like they were either taken strait out of the trash or were from 2 days prior which shocked me. Nothing here is cheap , it's very premium priced. So you would really expect the BEST. I did not get their best. Not sure if they saw the destination was the was a urban area and they sent me that crap intentionally IDK, IDC. No excuses when I'm paying. I definetly will not be ordering wings via delivery again EVER! They can send that garbage to another sucker in the supply chain. We went last night for a casual family dinner. My FIL chose it because he heard it was owned by Dan Marino and thought it was cool. It's spacious, has lots of memorabilia on the walls. It feels like a sports bar but the bar area is small and instead has a brick oven for pizza. The food was great - pizza was cooked well and tasted good. The salad had a little too much dressing, but that was minor. The garlic knots were really good - clearly made on site and loads of garlic which we love. I have young kids so they went for the Nutella pizza for dessert. I wasn't sure how it would come out, but it was really good! The strawberries gave it a lighter sweetness and balanced the Nutella. The meal itself was great. The facility itself could use some attention. The bathrooms were a bit dingy and the stall doors had holes in them - covered by cardboard for privacy but replacing or fixing the door would be the better option. read more

Anthony's has a few locations in MA but my partner and I frequent this one the most. It is located just off of I-95 in Reading and is on the road entering the Jordan's complex. Convenient, but the area can get backed up with wonky individuals when it comes to driving. The review is about pizza though- the main attraction of Anthony's. We usually sit at the bar and there is an outdoor covered-seating option as an extension of the bar which is pretty nice. Indoors doesn't stand out a lot as far as mood goes- it is standard fare but slightly above that I'd say. Honestly I find it a little on the darker side for my liking. The staff are usually nice though sometimes we get a few screwballs. Typically there's regulars we get at the bar and they are good people- particularly Joey. They should give that guy a raise I'm pretty sure he is a manager. The food- which has mainly been the pizza we have had, is amazing. It's fresh and oven fired in house and the taste reflects that. You can customize your pizza as much as you like and staff are happy to oblige. We usually do a custom garlic, chicken and white pizza- which I highly recommend. They have lunch deals too if you're in around that time and frequently send emails for pizza deals during the week which is a nice plus. Overall you should definitely go if you haven't yet- it beats the average house of pizza by a long shot. read more

My wife and I visited Anthony's for our first meal after arriving in Boston. We ordered the square Margherita and my wife got a bowl of pasta fagioli for an appetizer. Our server, Taylor C, was attentive and nice while the food was excellent. Everything was perfect Italian food and I wish I could have transported a bowl of fresh pasta fagioli to my grandmother since she would have adored it. So I'm sitting in my kitchen eating the leftovers from last night for lunch, and that's what prompted me to write this review. Everything is still delicious and I honestly want to stuff it in my mouth and eat it all at once. When I was a kid visiting southern Florida in the winter, my family and I would frequent Anthony's during our trips. I am originally from MA and have never been to an Anthony's up north. This location was great - the food was just as I remembered. My partner ordered the hot honey burrata pizza without prosciutto, and when it came out with prosciutto on it, they didn't hesitate to make us a new one free of charge (it was an honest mistake anyways). I wish that the roasted soft garlic came with the wings. and I also wish happy hour was on the weekends, too. But the pizza is amazing (the crust is A+), the wings have this smoky delicious flavor I can't stop thinking about, and everyone working there was really nice. BEST PIZZA EVER! I was in town visiting and my friend suggested to meet here. I had the Margherita pizza and she ordered the Carnivore. Truly excellent pizza! The crust, the sauce, and the cheese were all delicious. Our server was nice and friendly and wanted us to sign up for the email list that sends you discounts, but I don't live in the area so I was unable to sign up. It is a casual atmosphere with wood tables and a corner bar area too. Easy to find and easy parking in the large lot. Stopped here for lunch, sat at the bar. Bartender seemed rather overwhelmed and easily distracted. Walking in, we knew what we wanted to order, took ~10 minutes for us to be able to order. Waited 25 minutes for our food; the cook placed the pizza on the edge of the kitchen, but no one came by for at least 8 minutes to bring us the food within arms reach as the bartender was socializing with other guests (I strongly contemplated picking up the pizza). I can't speak to the food, as I left my friend to enjoy lunch on his own, as what I thought was going to be a quick lunch ended up with 40+ minutes waiting for food that was going to be cold by the time it was served to us. We have been here many times, and they are ALWAYS very nice, some times it's busier than others, but the team is ALWAYS good, the Food is ALWAYS cooked to perfection, and they ALWAYS go above and beyond to show you how much they appreciate your business. Last night we had a problem at home, so I left my party and ran home to resolve it. The staff there was so considerate, they placed a hold on my order, check in with the people that we still there, made sure they were cared for and OK. It's not too dim like most typical sports bar, has a moderate amount of memorabilia to gaze at in a cozy atmosphere where you can come, have a glass of wine in one hand and a slice of pizza on the other. Coal Oven Roasted Chicken Wings- They know how to make delicious juicy wings here! Deep fried in oil? Not here. Coal oven is the way to go! I know a lot of people give them grief about the loaded caramelized onions they place on top of these wings but I actually like them. Plus, you get slices of focaccia bread to sop up the juices. I took my family (10 of us) here a few weeks ago and forgot to write a review. I try to get the family together now and then, and just love this place. This is the 2nd time i've done this. I took My grandson (8 YO) up to see the men making the pizzas and they were so kind showing him the dough and the coals. It's been a couple years since I've been here and now I remember why. After dining in when the restaurant was new, decided to try give takeout a try. Ordered a large pepperoni and 5 piece wings ($29 + tip). While the wings had good flavor, they were very soggy. Our pizza did not look like any coal fired pizza I've ever ordered...no color on the crust and seemed undercooked. Picked up our order very promptly (15 mins after placing) and somehow everything was cold after a 5 minute drive. While I do enjoy the flats myself, there we no drumsticks in my overpriced order of wings. There are so many other coal fired pizza places from Angelo's on Rt 1 to Jack's in Burlington to Frank Pepes in Chestnut Hill (if you're willing to drive another 20 mins) that there's no reason I'd come back here. After my most recent visit, I'm bumping Anthony's up to 4 stars. The pizza was even better this time around (the sauce tastes SO fresh), but what really won me over was the $25 dinner deal. For $25, we got our choice of appetizer (we got the coal-fired wings, which came topped with flavorful carmelized onions and a few pieces of foccacia bread), choice of small salad (we got the classic Italian salad), and choice of any small pizza (we stuck with the margherita since it was so good last time). Anthony's is a snug establishment with dimmed lights, TVs scattered about on the walls, and a bar situated on the side of the room. I came here for dinner and the atmosphere was lively and bustling! The first meal of the night was the coal-fired chicken wings, which was definitely the best part of the dining experience!! They were perfectly seasoned with rosemary and oregano- and everything was just so, so flavorful. The inside was tender and salted just right. A generous amount of caramelized onions (yum!) was heaped on top of wings as the finishing touch. Two pieces of seasoned bread (yum x2!) were served alongside it. Anthony's has a large selection of beers, which was a plus. The main meal of the night was the Square Margherita pizza, which had mozzarella cheese, tomato sauce, romano cheese, and basil. The crust was rather thin, so some parts of it were slightly burnt and crunchy. A generous amount of mozzarella was topped on it (alongside the romano cheese) and it tasted whole and fresh. The basil didn't come diced (I wish it did, though, so it could be infused with the sauce or something!), but whole. I think the best part of the pizza was the sauce. It was sweet, flavorful, and tangy! I'd definitely recommend their coal-fired chicken wings if you're looking for flavor- they were truly the best part of the meal. :) read more

The food is excellent when you go in person. Today I decided to order delivery (delivery is via DoorDash). When the pizza arrived, it was a total mess inside the box. It wasn't just bunched up on one side, but the pieces were scrambled all over the box like the delivery person shook it up before handing it to me. They did such a great job helping to organize a surprise party for my mother! I spoke with managers Adam and Carlos, who arranged everything, and then we had EXCELLENT service and attention from our server, Dylan. He's a keeper! This place is one of my favorite pizza spots. The tables are always sticky but I think it's the cleaner they use because you can see them cleaning the tables after everyone leaves, it's not that they don't clean. The square margherita pizza, pepperoni pizza and pretty much any others are great. The meatballs are gigantic and delicious. I always get the mojito and my wife gets the cosmo which are always delicious but this time around the mojito tasted salty, like a margarita. The waitress had another made and it was delivered by someone else that stated, "this one was made the same so it's probably going to taste the same" and "have you ever had a mojito? That's what it tastes like". It was definitely made the same because it had the same issue, salty and missing the simple syrup.
