This is my first time dining at an Anthony's, but ate pizza from one several years ago. Started with a small chopped salad, Romaine, pepperoni, garbanzo beans, Gorgonzola, bacon and balsamic dressing. The salad was delicious. As the salad was served, the server mentioned our pasta should be out soon, before we had taken a bite. We asked for the entree to be delayed, but that didn't happen. As we finished the salad, we noticed food was sitting under the warmer. When they served the food, they brought out the food from the warmer. We asked for fresh food, but they reheated that food and served it. It was obvious that the food had been reheated as the noodles were dry. We spoke to the manager who had the dishes remade. The shrimp scampi with fettuccine was very good. Brenda was attentive as our server. The noise level is a good level, so you can have a conversation. The service issue is not the normal for them. read more

This is a great place to gather with a large group of people. The service was great, the food came out fast and hot. The pizza was so good we forgot to take a picture. The Eggplant Marino pizza was a unique option with very thin slices of eggplant. The White pizza was a nice blend of cheeses and the classic cheese was top tier. First, the service was excellent. It was jam-packed on a Friday when I visited with a few friends so we grabbed a few beers and waited in the outside area. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and shared a pizza. We tried the meatball, eggplant, wings and garlic knots. The meatball app was everyones favorite. We had the hot honey burrata pizza special which was okay. I was hoping for better but it was still good, I'd try them again. This is a tale of really good pizza paired with sub-par service (and not because there wasn't sufficient staff). We created our own 12" pizza. Only addition was sausage. Once ordered the pizza was delivered quickly since they use a high temp pizza oven. The pizza was perfect and had just the perfect level of sauce, crust and melty cheese. It even had TWO bubbles on two slices, one for each of us. We ordered soda and water. Both went empty for all too long, including right in the middle of the meal when this can't happen. When I buy a soda for $3.25 and they only provide a single refill because they aren't focusing on drinks....we were not happy here. At the end of the meal we chatted for a little bit and no one came to ask if we wanted refills on both glasses. They also brought the check out before we finished the pizza. Might need some training. There are several TVs turned to sporting events. Place was about 50% full on a Sunday night. Plenty of parking. Next time we'll skip the soda and bring our own water cups. Problem solved! read more

The food was horrific, service was terrible other than a young man named Hal. He was absolutely wonderful and was the only one in this joint doing his job. No one else cared and he was having to do everyone else's job, while maintaining his cool and being super sweet. The bartender was supposed to take care of us, and she couldn't even bear to look at us. Hal had to save the day. Luckily Hal didn't cook the food, but everything was awful except the Caesar salad. Never coming back. Hope a better place hires Hal. I know he isn't making any money in this dump. read more

So sometimes I eat Anthony's and I'm Like this is pretty good!! And other times I'm like this is Z BOMB!!! This experience was the latter, I'll be honest though the Anthony's at this location has made the best pies out of the others I've tried in clearwater and Brandon. One thing every pizza must have is a crispy crust supporting toppings that won't sog up it up in 10 seconds and this was that. There was a nice ratio of pizza sauce and the pizza was baked perfectly. This was our first visit. Stopped in to try it after reading reviews and seeing they had a lunch special for $10. The food was expensive but good. They were good with a dairy allergy (garlic knots without cheese, pizza crust and sauce are dairy free!). We were a little annoyed by our server though. We sat at a table and first ordered garlic knots. After ordering, I saw the happy hour menu and it had the garlic knots almost half off when at the bar so we asked if we needed to move to the bar to get the happy hour deal for those and she said yes, so we moved. We go to order the lunch special and she says it's only until 3:00 (it was like 3:10) but online the cutoff time is nowhere to be found. Fast forward to getting our bill, the garlic knots are full price so I mention it and she then proceeds to say happy hour is at 3:30 not 3:00. I asked where it said that and she said it's next to the "3". It's so small you have to walk directly under the sign to see the "30" part. Why in the world she wouldn't just say that when we initially asked about it and moving tables is beyond me. A couple dollars isn't a big deal but the lack of disclosure and communication was very frustrating. We might go back, but not to this location. Very annoying. read more

I have been a customer of Anthony's for many years in different central Florida location, most specifically the Orlando area ones. Today, I went for a 10" inch pepperoni well done for which I paid 16.11. I thought it was a bit expensive but gave them the benefit of the doubt. As soon as I get home and open the box, the pizza seemed floppy, a lot of tomato sauce and super small sizes. I'm still hungry and feel robbed. I don't think I will be coming here again. On a side note, staff was cool and welcoming. What could improve? First, I don't think that two normal slices of pepperoni should be 16.11 which is the equivalent of two slices of pizza pie. Might be better of selling by the slice. Secondly, if a customer asks for a pizza well done, I expect it to be crunchy not floppy. Thank you in advance. Very respectfully, Lou P.S. We ate here before, and had the personal pizzas which were very good. Tonight we got two large pizzas. They were not good . we got pepperoni which was tasty on some level, but the crust was too thick and not as good as the thinner coal-fired smaller one We got the garlic knots, which are OK but I tell you -that sauce and the marinara that you can buy for them is out of this world. We also ordered a pizza with prosciutto on it. The prosciutto was placed on the pizza after it was cooked and it was gobs of it. It tasted old and nasty. I don't think I will be back. read more

Fantastic pizza. They obviously use quality incredients. We got a variety of pizzas, with red sauce, white sauce, one with lots of meat, one that was vegetarian friendly, it didn't matter because each was delicious. The Carnivori Pizza was my personal favorite, second best was the The Square Margherita. read more

Unfortunately a tough experience this past Friday evening. We did a call ahead and arrived a few minutes early. We were seated promptly and then the evening spiraled from there. 6 of us, we ordered a couple of garlic knots and drinks. The waiter looked pretty busy, so when the drinks came, we ordered (two pizzas, one salad, and 2 entrees). We waited 1 hour and 30 minutes and never received: 1. Any update from our server (who was rarely visible), 2. Additional drinks 3. Any of the food order. When we finally spotted the server, one of our party approached him, asked about status, and was told we were one of the tickets about to be serviced (this was at the 1 hour 10 minute mark). We waited another 10 minutes, and seeing that our pizza wasn't delivered (or any of the other food), we flagged the server over and asked to get our bill. We had reservations at the comedy club near by. The waiter told the manager who came by and confirmed we wanted to leave (this is now nearly another 5 minutes). When we asked what happened to the food, the manager basically ignored the question, and indicated he would be back. A few minutes later, he came back, and told us that our pizza was nearly ready. At this point, 90 minutes in, we told we had to leave. Now, stuff like this happens occasionally. But this night, we never: 1. Received any updates from the server on the status of the food. 2. The manager seemed at best, disinterested that he had patrons waiting for nearly 90 minutes for pizza and a few entrees, 3. Lastly, we didn't even get any comp'd (a few drinks, the garlic knots). Nothing. Too bad, guess we need to consider marking this off the list. read more

Anthony's has been my go-to pizza place for years. I always get a square Margherita pizza and love it. However, the last several times I've gotten take-out - it appears they are cutting costs by being stingy on the cheese. The first couple times I let it slide, but it seems to be the new "standard". If that's the case, they should change the picture on their website to accurately reflect the actual pizza. For a $22 pizza, I just expect a little more. Came in for the first time off a friends recommendation and heard they were veteran friendly. Enjoyed our experience so signed up for the rewards program. Came in the second time to redeem our free pizza. My husband is gluten free so tried to order that style but was told she couldn't substitute even though we were willing to pay the different crust price... Received email that morning advertising 2 for 1 wine and beer so of course began our lunch with a glass each sharing with the server how we appreciated the special. After lunch was finished and leftovers boxed to go server came by and asked if we wanted our 2nd glass at which time we were confused... as a consumer and a fellow restaurant owner 2 for 1 meant exactly what we did - we each ordered a glass so charge us for the higher price but not here. We were not prepared to drink 2 9oz glasses each during a lunch that last less than an hour ... does not seem like a smart decision to drive after that. Wow! Last night we had the worst Margherita pizza we' e ever eaten...by far! Bland tomato sauce. Right out of a can? Two spindly sprigs of fresh basil. A few Mozzarella cheese slabs....
