A long standing Italian staple in Purcellville. It has a nice dining room plus a patio area in front. We were warmly greeted when we entered, and all the servers and staff were great. The menu is very typical Italian fare- pastas, Mediterranean dishes and pizzas and calzones. I went with the veggie Stromboli, which was a good size portion loaded with cheese and veggies. It could have used some more seasoning for my personal taste. My kids both really liked their ravioli, but it was only three pieces which was on the smaller side. Moved to P-Ville a year ago and drive by this place often. Decided to finally give it a try by ordering pizza...I'm disappointed! An Italian place should be able to make a good pizza to claim the name. Unfortunately, Anthony's pizza needs help. I got an XL pepperoni pizza and a medium Margherita, taste is missing something, oily, I taste the cheap vegetable oil and lots of sodium to overpower the cheap ingredients, crust is OK, and they skimp on the pepperoni and fresh mozzarella. The Margherita pizza didn't even have any basil when the description of ingredients says it has fresh basil. I'm sorry but not a happy customer. We had dinner there on 2/14/2025. My wife had the Chicken Carciofi. It's a sautéed chicken breast topped with artichokes, roasted red peppers, spinach and mozzarella cheese. It was delicious. Chicken nice and tender. Fettuccine on the side with a white wine pesto sauce with a hint of tomato, delicious. I had the Gnocchi all Sorentina. The Gnocchi were cooked perfectly but I wasn't overly impressed with the dish. The light tomato sauce was bland. I also had a side of meatballs. Meatballs were were tasty, I liked the sauce with the meatballs better than the sauce with the Gnocchi. Overall a decent meal. read more

A very place in downtown P-ville that is loved by the locals. They have fused Italian and Mediterranean cuisine to please various tastes. Parking is easy. There's an indoor patio if you want to dine outside. Food was delicious. Our table had a variety from paella to sub sandwiches. My paella had lots of cut sausages, chicken breasts, a couple of scallops, shrimp and mussels. The flavor was tasty. I think the rice was a tad underdone. The meal ($21) came with 2 small slices of garlic bread. They offer cocktails and plenty of wine by the glass. Service was great. I'm a kind of guy that orders chicken parm whenever it is on the menu. it's my thing. I have had chicken parm in hundreds if not a thousand restaurants over the years. I actually really do enjoy this restaurant and the meals are always tasty, including the pastas and pizza. However anytime I dine in I fantasize about Gordon Ramsey coming in and giving it a complete makeover. It's a bit drab and old inside. The coveted porch is also a nice idea, with a bar, but it's not very lively and I've never seen that bar in use. The clientele is usually of an older generation when I go. I would love to see that outdoor area lit up with fun lighting, and lively with young families and couples having a good time. read more

Always order Calamari when it is available. This offering was cold, soft crust, slightly rubbery. Either too old, oil not hot enough, left over, or old and microwaved. Four different dinners veal, eggplant, steak salad, spaghetti. Collectively rated about 3 to 4. Acceptable for food as body fuel not really for memorable experience. I think the fried zucchini is really good as our most of the pasta specialty dishes. The pizza isn't bad, but there's better. It's a nice family room place. Everyone's order (and they were quite varied) came out one after another and all were spot on - even special orders. The menu is extensive - I had wild mushroom ravioli and had my choice of Alfredo, marinara or meat sauce - nice to have options. I chose meat sauce and it was delicious. I passed on desert but they looked yummy and were according to my friends. We had separate checks without a fuss and they were all absolutely correct. With the breath of the menu and tastiness of the food I have a lot of reasons to go back. Also lots of parking and easy access for those with mobility issues. read more

I go here a lot. The food is good and consistent. The servers are efficient and polite. They have an over flow section so they can accommodate everyone during the busiest times and I've not seen service diminish even when busy. The menu is extensive with lots to choose from. I find this is a great choice for my family in Purcellville. Something for everyone. Another thing I've noted is that prices don't seem to have increased over the past few years like other places in town. Menu is the same. Prices seem to be the same. It's a satisfying experience with every visit. When we first moved to Purcellville in 2008, there wasn't much to choose from. As new restaurants popped up, I kind of forgot about this place. It's at the far end of town. But as other restaurants started to become too busy to seat last minute on a Friday or Saturday night, I remembered this place and can generally be seated anytime, even with a larger group. It's a casual place. With casual food. But my husband and I go here now and again in the evenings and the atmosphere is nice and quiet with low lighting. It's dressy enough for a casual date night as well as a family night dinner. I love this place and will continue to come here for years to come. Their pizzas are excellent! Anthony's has become my favorite Italian restaurant. All the dishes are amazing, and the service is friendly and professional. A full wine cellar and bar tell you this isn't just another pizza joint. I've enjoyed the chicken parmesan, a lasagna with meat sauce that has a generous amount of meat, and the lamb shank was fall off the bone delicious. I don't give out a lot of "5" reviews... this place is really a 4 and a half, only because its atmosphere is more casual. If the put out white table cloths and candles.... wow! That being said, I highly recommend this place. Generous portions at a modest price...how could you go wrong?! read more

We know it'll be good (the kabob combo, Cesar salad, and lamb leg are our favorites) and the kids eat chicken tenders and fries happily. It is all fairly priced and decent portions. Service is friendly but challenged at times to either take our order correctly or bring the correct order out.
