Like most politicians, going to this establishment seemed like a good idea ahead of time. The pictures promised much better food than what we we found. The menus looked like they have not been cleaned since the COVID era, the dessert menu being essentially unreadable due to filth. The lighting was harsher than my ex wife's child support payments. When the pizza arrived it was like going on a blind date that was clearly better in photos than in person. The pizzas were cooked to a nice medium rare consistency. If it were a steak, it would have still being mooing at me. When looking around, there was a graveyard of floppy, undercooked pizzas as each table, none of which were finished. Contrary to the prior whiney complainers leaving reviews about this establishment, the servers were fantastic and attentive, and are not at all to blame for the mid experience we had here. We were excited to try this place as it was recommended by a number of guidebooks. The ambiance was typical for Moab. Outdoor seating was nice. The inside was very barebones. Not a lot of atmosphere. The food was "meh" which was disappointing. We ordered the garlic bread and the caprese. Both were below average. Not a lot of garlic flavor on the garlic bread and the caprese was awful. Rubbery cheese and low-end supermarket tomatoes. The balsamic was like a syrup, more sweet than acidic. The pizzas were okay. I couldn't tell they were "wood fired". Amazing italian restaurant in Moab. We stopped by for dinner after a packed day out in the mountains and this place did not disappoint. We ordered their pizza, alfredo and a couple of bottles of red wine and everything was delicious. The pizza and pasta did taste fresh and delicious. They have a huge space indoor and good ambience. One of my favorite places to eat in Moab. My partner and I didn't dine at a ton of restaurants in town while camping, but the few we picked were amazing and worth revisiting. It was pretty empty since we were here in December, but I keep thinking about the Linguine Alla Vongole and Dirty Martini I got. Having been to Italy earlier in 2022, the meal was nostalgic. Service was chill, as were the vibes. Humble spot for such authentic Italian food, or at least that's my perception. Overall great place to spend time warming up if you're around in the winter. Really good Italian restaurant that specializes in wood fired pizza. We were seated in the patio that was covered and warm. I highly recommend the burrata cheese (huggggggeeee portion and really delicious). Ordered the pizza with prosciutto and arugula. The sauce was delicious and the pizza was perfectly cooked. Plenty or arugula. Crust was thin, delicious, and you can tell they use high quality ingredients. Also the service here from everyone was great. We got take out from Antica Forma. We had the salcicca fungi pizza, pepperoni pizza, and the val gardena salad. The crust is homemade and just amazing. The sausage mushroom pizza was my favorite. Both pizzas were a bit soggy unfortunately and we wondered if they were done sooner than we were told and had sat for a bit. Because it was take out we were supposed to get plates and napkins but none were included, even though we were charged for them. So that was a bummer. Very busy since it was still tourist season in Moab but they moved people through efficiently and I got a place at the bar with no wait and it seemed like those looking for tables for one within 20 minutes. I really appreciate that they're open late. It was refreshing to have actual wood fired pizza though the bread was a bit on the charred side and less sweet dough. I got the Regina and it had a bit too much tomato slices which was starting to water it down so I removed the excess. Food was expensive but not unreasonable. The Italian sodas were fun and flavorful and, while I didn't try it since it was super late, the coffees looked good. The bartender didn't speak English very well so he deferred questions to other waiters - so not really any conversation at the bar. read more

Wanted to check this place out after reading all of the great reviews. Unfortunately our experience was terrible. First off there was no music in the restaurant...strange environment. The waiter was extremely rude and didn't even ask to refill our waters. We had to ask him every time. He never checked back with us but we could see him sitting at the bar on his phone chatting with his co workers. Very unprofessional. The pizza had 0 sauce and the smallest amount of toppings possible which was also disappointing. I paid $40 for 2 pizzas which was basically bread and cheese... After my visit of Dead Horse Shoe State Park, I drove through the downtown Moab area. There is that one big street where all the main restaurants and shops are located. I prefer to dine in restaurants that have a high traffic of business as I know they aren't swapping flies in the kitchen LOL. I found Antica Forma which is a lovely pizza and pasta parlor. "Antica Forma" means old or ancient form. They have a coal fire oven I think which employs a "fire-in-the-oven" method. It give off high temperature by building a good-sized flame on a large bed of coals. This allows the pizzas to be cooked in a matter of minutes. Both the floor and the dome are completely filled with heat. Just a little background on coal fire ovens. This restaurant has lots of space for inside dining and they have outside patio dining, too. I ordered the Pistachio Pizza and Linguini Ai Gamberi with Shrimp. The pizza was fantastic in flavors and taste... the crust wasn't too thick, but it was crispy... so delicious! As for the linguini with shrimp, it was really good, too, but that spice was dangerously spicy and hot to the internal system if you know what I mean. It took days to get it out my system. I didn't have room for dessert at the time. I ended up taking both dishes back with me to the resort. I just ate them for breakfast/lunch before I checked out the next day. I stayed at one of my resorts within my vacation ownership for 3 nights. Another one down (you'll have to read one of my other reviews to understand this comment LOL!) The server I had was very cordial and friendly. She answered my questions about the foods very clearly. She checked back on me at the table from time to time. Thank you! They have a variety of pizzas and pastas to choose from. Prices were okay... nothing too extreme. Parking may be limited so get here early for lunch or dinner. My boy Jase gave it a 4.0 on the One Bite App I said 6.5 in the video so I'm gonna stick with 6.5 but I'm not even sure that's accurate, maybe a 6.0 First off the pizza sauce is not good and there's not much of it. The crust is super thin but it's a floppy mess, the crust of the pizza is actually pretty damn good and the undercarriage was nice. My buddy Jay didn't like how it was burnt but I thought it was really good at crispy. They had fancy sounding names but I forgot them. The appetizer was very good. The pizza was also very good. Good amount of toppings. The salad was okay. I like olives but the amount of olives was too much. I added chicken and they gave two large portions of chicken which would have been good if the chicken wasn't so dry. Overall a decent dinner. Must try the pizza!!!! It tastes so fresh and the dough is amazingly soft and crisp at the same time. We made sure to try different toppings and sauces to get our taste buds excited. My favorite was obviously pepperoni. I'm basic like that but my second fave was the pesto. There's no red sauce and instead they use pesto. So good! Not too salty and I didn't need ranch to dip the pizza in! Which means it was delish on its own. There is seating inside and outside. The inside was pretty empty. Not sure if it was because the AC was blasting but the outside was better. It was only in the high 70s that afternoon so it was perfect outdoor dining weather. Our server Joe was nice. He was very polite but a little bit forgetful and I'm not sure if I should dock him on that since he looked to be waiting multiple tables. My husband and I split a pizza and an appetizer and it was the perfect amount of food! Here's what we split: - Caprese ($12.95): Horrible. The cheese had no taste and was really hard. Staff was really nice and the food came out pretty fast. However, the pizza's were not worth the money. 2 of the 4 pizza's were burnt on the bottom. They were all a little undercooked in the middle. The pizza sauce tasted like canned tomatoes without much seasoning. Sadly we will not be going back. 4 pizzas, 2 kids drinks and 1 beer =$100. Not worth it. Right across from my hotel, with a nice outdoor eating area, Antica Forma seemed as good a choice as any on the downtown Moab strip. I ordered a Sangria- it was so small! But it was tasty. I ordered my margherita pizza "well-done" but that only meant some of the crust was blackened. The sauce was pretty bland and I covered mine with crushed red pepper and salt to give it some flavor. There were 4 small leaves of basil in the middle of my pie. The crusts here are soft with not much chew. Overall it was a pleasant dining experience, but the bland pizza I tried wouldn't be enough to land Antica on my return list. read more
