First of all tipping is based on the service you receive. You order at the front counter and pay at the same time. paid with a credit card and under tip i gave 20% which some would argue is high for over the counter ordering. My wife asked for ketchup on her steak and cheese. it came without. the person who dropped off the food asked me if i wanted silverware for my chicken parm meal.. i said yes please. i saw him head to the kitchen and never returned. Went to the counter for the silverware and ketchup. the point i'm making is when you tip ahead of your meal, they don't have any initiative to give good service because they already have your tip. read more

I work at the daycare next-door and probably go every day for lunch and get the same thing a Cobb salad and the chicken wings, I know it sounds so simple, but my God is that marinated chicken so good AND the salads are always fresh never wilted! We had tried their pizza before (which is excellent) and wanted to try something different. I had the Lasagna and I will be getting it again as long as we are not in a hurry. They put it together and bake it to order, which means that it takes about half an hour to get it. It was worth the wait! I ate lunch here the other day and very much enjoyed my chicken Parm sandwich. Tonight I ordered a cheesesteak sub with everything, along with a side of wings (naked) with Blue Cheese. I've ordered the cob salad several times now. Its a different price each time. Website shows salad with Eggs but when you order and go in to pay they charge you for the egg. I showed the girl on register the picture on the website, but caught an attitude instead. Even charged .e for extra dressing when everyone else has not. Really bad customer service. Our first pizza stop in Maine and a bit of disappointment. The salad and onion rings were really yummy. The pizzas got burnt, due to not watching the timer, says the waiter. They replaced them and let us eat the burnt but when the good ones were done, we packed them up and took them to the hotel. Too full to enjoy them. read more

Well, I ordered onlone at THEIR SITE, paid with PayPal, but they never got the order. So much for automation! They offered to put one together in 10 minutes which was fine by me. As par for the course in today's society, they were blaming me for the online failure. No biggie. Turns out their site failed to accept the PayPal payment and complete the order without telling me. This is our go to pizza place when we want to skip out on dominos. Through the year, I'd say we've ordered 4 or 5 from these guys and one of those came out a dud. Overall, good stuff though! We always get the House pizza. The crust taste pretty good and not overly greasy. The toppings always come off as being super fresh too. This place is mediocre. We ordered garlic bread, a pepperoni pizza and steak and cheese sub. The sub tasted alright but the cheese was barely melted because they clearly didn't add the cheese on the grill as it should be, and there was hardly any meat. The garlic bread was just passable. I've heard great things and I've heard not so great things.. I came into Antigoni's not sure what to expect and my experience fell right in the middle. I wish half stars were a thing, but I just can't go to a four. (Yet!) We had looked online at the menu already so we pretty much knew what we wanted- a pizza Bianca and a ham grinder. I'm originally from Connecticut and I grew up on ham grinders, so I was pretty excited to maybe be able to get one around here! We went to the counter to order and the guy was on his cell and didn't even look up until I said hello. We ordered our grinder with just lettuce and tomatoes but they typically come with everything you'd get on an Italian and also added spinach to our pizza. It was less than $18 for both and it was more than plenty to feed the two of us. We went to find a seat and more than half of them were dirty. The restaurant was reasonably busy for a Friday afternoon but I felt like we waited longer than I expected for our food. At one point someone came out to double check something about our order which was appreciated because I would have been disappointed if my grinder came with no cheese! The grinder was very good, not exactly what you'd get in CT but better than any I've had in Maine since I've moved here. I liked the pizza, it had a nice blend of cheeses on it and the crust had a good flavor but I'm glad I added spinach to it, I'm not sure I would have liked it as much without it. The prices are good, the food is good, the service is okay. I think with time Antigoni's will only get better and I will definitely be back to try them again! read more

If you're looking for atmosphere, Antigoni's may not be for you. The open area dining is set up much like a fast food restaurant. That's where the similarities end, however. The fare is Italian and a cut above what I expected. I ordered the meatball sub. The portion was generous and the sub was delicious. The prices are reasonable and the staff was friendly and courteous. I'll be back in Brunswick in a couple weeks for business. I'm sure I'll drop by to try something else on their menu. This was so disappointing. This place is trying to be half a fast food place and half a sit down restaurant, and it's not working. The food is too expensive for a place that doesn't have waiters (not to mention the staff is rather brusk and unpleasant). It would be ok if the food was really good but it's not even ok. The food is remarkably bland. I tried the Mac n cheese and it mostly tasted like plain boiled noodles (which is impressive because I could see lots of cheese but it was all flavorless). I also got garlic bread that barely had a hint of garlic, and standard nothin special mozzarella sticks. The pizza here is the crispy, chewy thin-crust version found all over Italy and there are a wide range of interesting toppings. We split the Modena, which had slivers of pear, gorgonzola, and drizzled balsamic vinegar, which was unusual and delicious. Our salad (Roma) was more pedestrian, with packaged commercial dressing, but my husband reported that the carrot cake was good. We did takeout due to covid so I can't comment on the service or decor. We'll definitely be back to try other pizzas. We usually go to another local pizza chain that's family-friendly and a bit more upscale-looking, which is fine, but we liked the thin crust and creative toppings at Antigoni.
