It's been a couple years since I'd had a pupusa and found this place only a couple miles from me. Driving into the parking lot, I was certain they were closed then saw the flashing open neon sign. Windows are tinted so hard to see the inside light. Quickly greeted by a lovely young lady that was SO VERY helpful. I told her I wanted pupusas and she went over the menu and answered all my questions on the types as well as suggestions. I ended up ordering (to-go) bean and cheese, pork and cheese, spinach and cheese, chicken and cheese, and jalapeños and cheese. The order came with the pickled cabbage (curtido) as well as a red and green salsa. Let me just say...I ordered way too much but it these were PHENOMENAL. My absolute favorite was spinach and cheese and the jalapeño and cheese was the runner up. This is definitely a hidden gem and highly recommend trying it out. This is the best place to get Pupusas! I love how flavorful it is and their salsas are amazing. My favorite thing about the pupusas would have to be the curtido that comes with it. It is delicious and has the right amount of sour and kick to it. The employees there are very sweet and the inside of the restaurant gives off a homey feeling. I have noticed some of them have limited English though but they've been really patient and helpful in trying to understand me! My family and I tried this restaurant based on feedback from a coworker. We entered but weren't greeted. We went up to the counter to see if it was self seating and was greeted at that point. My party and I ordered mixed pupusas which were supposed to be chicken, carne asada and cheese, plantains and 3 carne asada taco platter with rice and beans. When we were ordering, we had questions about certain things such as quantity, etc and our waitress had to leave multiple times to find out the answer. The food was a disappointment in that all of the pupusas tasted like cheese. We couldn't see or taste any meat. The carne asada was tough and lacked flavor. I'm rating this place a 3 for a couple of reasons. Sucks I don't know Spanish, it was hard, but there was a serious language barrier. Please learn English, at least some, if your going to work in America. That's all I ask. Because of the language barrier, I was ignored. I don't think the waitress/hostess would have asked if everything was good or if I needed anything else (up sale) anyways even if I did speak Spanish. She had no idea what I meant when I asked for more ice, so I blew that off, my drink got cold enough later on. Now, the food. The rice was good, the beans had a funky taste, I won't hold that against them, maybe it's grandmas bean recipe. Who knows. However, the enchilada, need serious help. That's my main course and it wasn't good. The chicken was between decent and dry. And there was basically NO sauce on the inside, at all, so everything was dry. The cheese and a tablespoon of red sauce on top was what I was working with. So I mixed it with my beans to give it some liquid factor to be able to swallow. It wasn't that great. I did have 1 cheese enchilada, and because there was a lot d cheese, it was good and gooey. And I'm not sure if I'm suppose to get chips and salsa automatically, or maybe your suppose to ask, or maybe is extra, but I didn't get any if I was suppose to. And because she didn't speak English, I couldn't ask her. So, I'm at a loss for words. I can say, it was cheap! I paid $5.99 plus tax, that came out to $6 bucks and change. So, I guess you get what you pay for. I will be back to try something else, just not the enchiladas. read more

They have canned soft drinks. The pupusa were good. In comparison to Glorias (an El Salvadorian restaurant) Antojitos pupusa"s beat them by miles. They are generously stuffed with flavor filled meat and gooey melted cheese. The curtido was a little sweet for my tastes. I prefer my curitido on the tart side (Glorias takes the win for that).
