    The Best Menudo!!!
    Marko V.

When I'm craving great food I'm always willing to drive and Las Fuentes was a great find. Came for the Menudo and was not disappointed. Best I've had since I moved back to Texas. Paired it with 2 trips tacos and an agua Fresca de piña and I am one happy boy. Service was helpful and very friendly. Highly recommend and I will definitely be back.

    Barbacoa tacos (without onion).

I ordered 5 Barbacoa tacos (without onion). OMG!!!!! THIS TACOS ARE SO GOOD! They remind me of the way Mil Tacos used to do their tacos yearssss agooooo. The double corn tortilla is a good size tortilla with great flavor! The Barbacoa was very well cooked, soft and their red and green salsas were good as well. Not super spicy, just the right spice for the barbacoa tacos. This place is going to be my go to Taco place! Los mejores tacos! Highly recommend!

    Best menudo in town.

Let me just start off by saying that I don't really like menudo. Everywhere I've had it its always bland and flavorless. Las Fuentes is different. They have a certain je ne sais quoi here. I always end up getting a big bowl here, it's that good. That's a testament of how good Las Fuentes menudo is. Also the meats for tacos, burritos and tortas is worth mentioning as well. They have all the standard barbacoa, lengua, chicharrón and alpastor and some other meets I don't remember. But it's all great and tasty. The burritos are pretty decent size and pretty affordable. If you come early on weekends they have freshly made mexican sweet bread. Definitely check those out. This is definitely a hidden gem hole in the wall restaurant in a neighborhood littered with a ton of great Mexican restaurants. Worth checking out if you're in south fort worth. Also worth noting this is mostly known as a breakfast and lunch food joint. That's what they specialize in and that's what's best on the menu.

The only reason you should come here is for the pozole or the menudo. Everything else is pretty terrible. Rice, beans are bland as can be and the tortillas are sadly store bought. I took my order home and when I opened the box, there were no onions or cilantro on my tacos at all. Only reason they get two stars is because they have great hours, friendly service, and I come here when I'm hungover.

They were stuffed with tender meat and were not excessively greasy. They come with onion and cilantro and three different salsas. Kind of embarrassed to say I ate it all but I couldn't help it. Service was friendly although they gave my plate to the person next to me, they went back and brought me my food fairly quickly. The horchata was also very good.

It's easily our favorite place for anything birria. From the birria pizza to the tacos, everything is incredible. The dipping consomé is seriously to die for, and the meat is cooked to absolute perfection. The service is great, and the Chicano art painted throughout the restaurant gives the whole place such a cool, authentic vibe. What is not to love? As we're celebrating our 55th anniversary this month we were presented with a lovely, complementary sparkly rose. As today is Cinco de Mayo a Margarita was in order and the house pour was lovely. We shared a bottle of California Sauvignon Blanc to accompany the Ceviche Tatemado followed by the Tacos de Barbacoa which is the Tuesday lunch special. Both the ceviche and barbacoa tacos were just so enjoyable. The striped bass and octopus ceviche here is a unique preparation that sings in the tangy lime and Serrano vinaigrette in which it is prepared. The barbacoa is so flavorful and tender; and the thin, house made flour tortilla is fried crispy on the flat top before being filled. So good.

Servers provided a great experience aside from a bunch of flies (ate outside on the patio and were waving at flys most of the night). Three stars for the prices. We are an entirely vegetarian meal with no alcohol and paid $400 for a party of six...and we were sharing (yes, you read that correctly). $13 for a side of Mexican rice. $18 for essentially a side mashed potatoes. $16 for grilled vegetables. And the portions were SMALL. We were sharing across four adults and three kids and everyone only ended up getting a tiny amount. It was really difficult believing we were receiving any real value...it felt like the Don and figured out how to have unsuspecting guests pay double! It to say this isn't a legit high-end Mexican restaurant, it is. But I would more realistically describe it as a high-end steak house with wrap-around Mexican dishes (which explains why the side prices were so extreme). Kids quesadillas with steak were $17 a piece with no sides other than potato chips (a little odd given the context). Anyway, I'll end it where I began...food was good, servers were great...but just not worth the price. If the bill had been half or the portions were larger, it would have felt like we were actually getting value for our money.

They're your typical trendy taco place, with their own selection of merchandise and crazy/cheesy jokes strewn about on t-shirts and signage. They have an ample bar space, but it looked like only one patron was interested in that; the rest of us were there to eat. You order your food at the counter and get a buzzer to come back and pick it up. The staff is friendly enough, but you don't really interact with them much since it's all pretty much self service after you go to the counter. The drink station has cane sugar based sodas; it's a bit heavy on the foam, but otherwise good. We opted for the birria pizza, a couple of cups of pozole, and a side of elote. Everything was solid. The elote was good, not great, but the pozole really hit the spot given how cold it was outside. The birria pizza is what blew me away, though. This was easily one of the most unique, but tasty, things I've ever had. It's not really a pizza, more like a topped quesadilla, but they did a great job of it. I'd not only come back here next time I'm in Fort Worth, I'd be interested in opening a location in Houston if I had the money to franchise it.
