Taqueria Las Fuentes is FW's best kept secret. This place is my to go option when I want some good menudo or pozole! Although it's tough to compare to your mom or abuelitas menudo or pozole, it is definitely up there on my scale. The staff is always friendly and the server ladies always take care of us. I ordered 5 Barbacoa tacos (without onion). OMG!!!!! THIS TACOS ARE SO GOOD! They remind me of the way Mil Tacos used to do their tacos yearssss agooooo. The double corn tortilla is a good size tortilla with great flavor! The Barbacoa was very well cooked, soft and their red and green salsas were good as well. Let me just start off by saying that I don't really like menudo. Everywhere I've had it its always bland and flavorless. Las Fuentes is different. They have a certain je ne sais quoi here. I always end up getting a big bowl here, it's that good. That's a testament of how good Las Fuentes menudo is. Also the meats for tacos, burritos and tortas is worth mentioning as well. They have all the standard barbacoa, lengua, chicharrón and alpastor and some other meets I don't remember. But it's all great and tasty. The burritos are pretty decent size and pretty affordable. If you come early on weekends they have freshly made mexican sweet bread. Definitely check those out. This is definitely a hidden gem hole in the wall restaurant in a neighborhood littered with a ton of great Mexican restaurants. Worth checking out if you're in south fort worth. Also worth noting this is mostly known as a breakfast and lunch food joint. That's what they specialize in and that's what's best on the menu. read more

The only reason you should come here is for the pozole or the menudo. Everything else is pretty terrible. Rice, beans are bland as can be and the tortillas are sadly store bought. I took my order home and when I opened the box, there were no onions or cilantro on my tacos at all. Only reason they get two stars is because they have great hours, friendly service, and I come here when I'm hungover. read more

The menudo is good. The place is a hole in the wall yes. The corn tortillas are homemade as are the soups. The barbacoa tacos were good say Mom. cr Yummy but not healthy refríed beans. I've had huevos rancheros here for years and it has always been decent but today it was horrible. To begin, as soon as I walked in I was hit by a foul odor like a backed up sewer, mentioned to the owner who seemed unaware. Cold, wet morning, looking forward to a warm breakfast but the huevos ranchero were cold, potatoes lukewarm as were the beans which also tasted like roach powder had been added. We found this little gem in South Ft Worth. Not the best area in town but definitely not the worst. The food is some of of the best I've found in DFW I had pastor, barbacoa, and fajita beef. The place is nice and clean inside and the staff was great. The bathrooms were clean which tells a lot about a place. They make a nice salsa that had great flavor. A great little hole in the wall. I came by to get some food to go and stuck to my usual meat and beans routine lol. I got the carne asada plate with double beans and no rice with corn tortillas and a Mexican coke. It came out to be $14 and some change. They don't cheap out on the meat they give you, however it was a little dry. Still yummy though! The plate comes with loads of grilled onions, chopped lettuce, a slice of tomato, and a grilled jalapeño. I was a little disappointed by the green salsa, it seems like they used some green tomatillos but not enough spice. The red salsa was on the drier side of spice too. That's my main complaint, salsa is very important in Mexican cuisine! Besides that I'll probably come again whenever I'm craving some Mexican food. read more

The food is Delicious. We are frequent customers. The Pozole Rocks. The only concern I have to share with it's owners. We went yesterday and when our food arrived, one of the ladies that works there was cleaning the side that was closed off. She began mopping with pine sol and that is all u could smell. A PINE FOREST. I did not enjoy my meal on this visit. Please use something that will sanitize and clean the area that doesn't have a fragrance. There are a lot of liquids that don't have the strong fragrances like Pine sol or Fabuloso don't get me wrong they smell awesome when u clean ur house but not in a restaurant. read more
