I rarely leave negative reviews, but the service at Antoïitos Tierra Caliente was unacceptable From start to finish, everything was incredibly slow and the attitude from our server (Janet) was worse. The Wait: It took forever just to place our order. Once we finally did, my boyfriend's drink took 10 minutes to arrive. and mine took another 10 minutes after that. The Food: We ordered guacamole as an appetizer, which was brought to the table without chips. By the time the server finally prought the chips out, the "appetizer" was pointless. The Attitude: When our breakfast finally arrived, I politely asked for a side of salsa. As she walked away, the waitress(Janet) literally rolled her eyes and threw her head back in frustration. At that point, I told her to forget it. She then kept insisting, "What did you want?" but the vibe was so hostile I didn't even want to engage. Consistency: It wasn't just us; she did the exact same thing to the table next to us when they tried to get her attention. Between the glacial pace and the nasty attitude, this waitress (Janet) is clearly in the wrong industry. Save your money and go somewhere where they actually want your business. read more

The food is always really good. Very reasonably priced. I'm gonna try the Menudo for the very first time and hopefully it's gonna be good. It's hard to find good. Menudo. The service here is really good. Actually there's only a couple of people working but they work very hard and get your own out of media. Hidden gem! We had plans to go to another nearby spot, but the cops had an investigation in the parking lot, so they closed for the day. I found this place 3 miles away. And I'm so glad! I ordered a wet cabesa burrito as she recommended it since they did not have lengua at the time. Oh heavenly. The meat fell apart and was so rich and flavorful. The sauce was delicious. Beans and rice were cooked perfectly. It was amazing. Wife got the menudo. If you want hominy or pigs feet, you have to pay a little more. We assumed it just meant extra. But we know now for next time. The tripe was sooo savory and also melted in your mouth. Good stuff. Service was super great. Ambience is nice. It looks like a typical taco joint from the outside but it's a super authentic "sit down" restaurant. You could sweat you were in northern Mexico the second you walk in. Great food, good table service. Try the cucumber like me drink -so good! I was in a hurry so I went with the carne asada taco and a carnitas taco. The meats were perfect, the hand made fresh tortillas were spot on. The only thing that may need a little attention was the salsa. It was too tomato-e and watery for me but no biggie. The restaurant was a nice, small, mom and pop restaurant. The waitress was very nice and quick with her service. I had the bistec ranchero, which came with a great sauce for taste but was a little too salty and steak was dry for my taste. If it was cooked less and more tender then I think that it would've been better. read more

I went yesterday and was VERY disappointed on the food. I ordered tacos dorados. The taco shell fell apart while picking it up to eat. The burrito was very greasy. The menudo was not cut to bite size pieces. It looked like it was cut in one inch strips. It was the first time I had to use a fork and knife to cut the menudo myself to eat it. I WILL not go back anymore. No more. I'm adding one star because I can't post without a star. read more
