Spinach Pasta and Chicken Marsala containers

Tried this place from TooGoodToGo. The pasta is what was leftover on this day for me. By the name, I thought this would be their specialty. It isn't bad but it doesn't stick out for me. I don't think they make the pasta in-house. I feel like 5.25 for one small container of pasta is a bit expensive and their small containers are expensive for that quantity in general. Their subs and meatball sub look like winners here though! If I lived closer to this place or happen to be nearby, I would be trying different subs. This place was fun to try for TooGoodToGo and the food was acceptable for the format but nothing to wow me like I have to come back deal. Staff is friendly and the restaurant has a separate casual dining area that could fit about 15? . Small parking lot that could be hard to get on and off from the main road.

Saw Antonella's on Best Thing I Ever Ate for their Chicken Cheesesteak. So had to find out about this Cheesesteak as I usually prefer the beef version. A cozy spot with a small dining area. It's all about the Hoagies here as well some salads along with a short list of pasta dishes & daily specials. The Chicken Cheese Steak from BTIEA is not on the daily menu and is only available on Wednesday as the special. They marinate the chicken in wine, bread is perfect and great balance of cheese onions, red/green peppers. Probably one of the best Chicken Cheesesteaks I've ever had! Also ordered the Padre. This one was also excellent -breaded chicken, mozzarella, sweet peppers, Russian dressing -need I say more?! The Roast Pork was very good. Friendly servers behind the counter. A hidden neighborhood gem and Food Network favorite that lives up to the hype!

Crispy lightly toasted roll, with homemade meatballs. I heard about this fine Italian Kitchen thanks to an email from yelp. When I saw the reviews I knew I needed to go. Staying in the area for the week, I knew it had to happen. It did and I was not disappointed. The sandwich was delicious and the size was just right! They have so many other sandwiches I need to try out. I can't wait to try some while relaxing by the pool. Thanks Yelp for helping me find another lunch option in the area. Thanks Antonella's i will pass on the good word to all that will listen. You have a new customer!

Covid update: been here twice since PA went "green" and I was back in the area working. Feel safe being inside, staff wear masks, no issues. Random update along with Covid: I've had a few more times from here, I think the last couple times I was here, I was looking at their daily specials and taking them up. Both fantastic. Mediterranean tuna, with balsamic? So good. Then a pork with broccoli rabe? That was my first meal back to work! We picked up two sandwiches at noon to enjoy for dinner at the pool. Of course I got the tuna, but it was somehow the best one I've had? My wife, who doesn't like tuna and probably doesn't like me, loved it. She ate a lot of mine. She likes the tuna I get when we go to ocean city, Maryland and compared this to that one. Why was this one so much extra good? Could it be because it sat for so much time in my cooler, with all of the flavors melding together? Now I'm going to have to buy multiple and start testing these scientifically... When I did tell my wife to go here, I told her that the "normal" deli sandwiches probably aren't special, but this place really shines on things you don't see everywhere and the hot sandwiches. If you're still reading for some reason, just remember that.

Been here so many times the last 5 years and yet I've been remiss in reviewing. I've had fabulous dine in meals as well as equally good takeout. The people here are great. The family that owns Antonella's has happily been serving Garrett Hill and the Mainline since the 1980's. I love that the food is great and yet you may be casual in your attire to dine here. Takeout has always been a breeze. Please indulge me while I commend them for their takeout efficiency during Covid-19. Today we chose the box lunch special which for $8 was a wonderful chicken salad hoagie with fresh tomatoes. The salad was piled high onto a great Italian roll. The tomatoes were visually appealing, thinly sliced and full of flavor. Just what the 2 of us needed - some color and visual excitement along with flavor during these times of social distancing. The box lunch included a bag of chips and a canned soda. For $8. Thank you Antonella's for working hard during this pandemic.

Pretty good Italian hoagie but a little pricey for what it is. Bread was chewy and fresh. Cold cuts are freshly cut and of good quality.

The service was very good: attentive and friendly. The ambiance is similar to Not Your Average Joe's in Ardmore with the upstairs/balcony seating and downstairs and big screen TV showing sports, but much noisier, especially as the upstairs also was filled with guests. By the time we left at 7:45pm after a 6:45pm reservation, it was loud enough that we had to fairly shout at each other to continue our conversation. The food was okay, except the salad which was excellent, but not worth returning for just the salad. - beet salad - 4.5/5, plentiful small diced red and yellow beets, avocado, arugula, a light dressing and burrato with crushed pistachios. a very solid starter salad and the server kindly split a large order into two small plates for us to share - fried calamari - 3/5, having just eaten at Estia last night which has a very good fried calamari, this one was not breaded as consistently and some of the pieces were a tad on the large side for a reasonable bite and too chewy to be cut with the fork or knife. - penne puttanesca - 3/5, my husband ordered this and while he not a self-proclaimed foodie, for him to say it was just okay means it was really just okay - linguine vongole - 3/5, points for the very plentiful offering of clams, i counted probably 20 generously sized clams (sometimes you get miniscule clams with this dish), but overall the sauce was too salty and there's not much you can do to fix that, and the linguine was a bit overcooked, definitely not even close to al dente We skipped dessert as by that point our ears were starting to ring with the high decibels coming from around us on the balcony and the floor below. It looked like a lot of people were having a good time so maybe it's just not for us.

I thought it was very average; likely a one-shot deal for us. BUT, the restaurant appears to be popular, so you may think it's great." I hate assessing Core de Roma as less than wonderful. The owner is so gracious and wants everyone to be happy. But the reality is, with so many Italian restaurants in and around Philadelphia, you've got to be on top of your game. They start you off with warm Italian bread and a plate of tasty cannelloni beans in olive oil. We ordered calamari as an appetizer, described as being served on a "bed of greens." Had we known the "bed" was two meager leaves of lettuce, we would have ordered a salad as well. The calamari should be crisper and include tentacles in addition to rings. My husband's chicken Francese was pretty much indistinguishable from my saltimbocca. I like when the breasts are pounded thin, but these were sliced overly thin, and the portion, somewhat skimpy. One piece of T's was lemony, the other not. I did taste sage on my saltimbocca, but had I not known that the chicken was topped with prosciutto, I wouldn't have guessed it was there. I read that some restaurants don't serve angel hair pasta because it's easy to over-cook. You guessed it. Boiled to the point of being almost mushy, with sauce that literally had no taste. When we split a small piece of limoncello cake, T said "this is the most flavorful thing we've eaten." And sadly, I agreed. The restaurant is BYOB with a reasonable $5 corkage fee. The staff is young and efficient. There's a parking lot down the hill in the back. Ambience is okay -- despite some other Yelpers' complaints. The only thing needing improvement: the food.

My parents come here periodically, and I'd been trying to join them on one of my visits back home,…read morebut on a couple occasions we couldn't get reservations, and then the third time, we got one but it turned out they were going to be closed that week for a post New Year's vacation. Fast forward to this latest visit home. I finally secured a reservation...but then late yesterday afternoon my mom's knee started acting up to the point where she could barely stand on it. Fortunately, ice, Advil and rest overnight--and my mom really, really wanting to come here--kept us on track, and tonight I finally made it. It's a cozy spot, and I can see it making an excellent date night, especially since the BYOB setup allows you to bring the wine of your choice (and save some $$). We were seated promptly--this Sunday was relatively mellow--and the servers were super accommodating about removing a chair so that my mom's walker could occupy the unused space on our four-top. The menu is what I call right-sized. It may seem smallish, but there is a strategic assortment of salads and apps, pastas and mains (and, of course, desserts) that is sure to accommodate everyone. Dean, the young man who would go on to do an outstanding job taking care of us for the night (with the other two servers chipping in seamlessly as needed), went through the specials. My mom was particularly intrigued by a squid-ink fettucine with lobster and shrimp (and cherry tomatoes) in a saffron cream sauce. Could we split it as an app, we asked? Would it be too much food? On Dean's advice, we went ahead, while my dad got the mussels. All three of us ordered the pork chop, which my parents have been raving about for a couple years now. How could I not try it? Ordering finished, bread and olive oil (with a bit of balsamic) arrived at the table. Knowing I had a pasta coming and that the pork chop was a good-sized portion, I didn't want to overdo it, which I think was ultimately a good choice. The bread took the edge off, and then the pasta arrived. It was just the right amount for two people to share as an app, and we both enjoyed it, while my dad loved his mussels (and then dunked lots of his bread in it). Then came the main event. The pork chop lived up to (and frankly, exceeded) the hype. It was tender and perfectly cooked and oh-so-flavorful. Definitely one of the best I've ever eaten, and this isn't my first pork-chop rodeo. It was accompanied by asparagus and yummy baby Yukon Gold potatoes; I left a view of the latter, not because they weren't yummy but rather because the pork chop was huge and I was not skipping dessert. For dessert, I went with the house-made cannoli, which was a lovely, sweet (but not oversweet) ending to an excellent meal. I'd be happy to come back to Burrata anytime.

We were amazed at how good our food was and why we hadn't dine here before. We split a mixed greens salad which was also delicious with apples. Topped it off with Strawberry Gelato and Limoncello cake. We had a great date night and can't wait to go back. Very reasonably priced and also a BYOB. But then when I was looking up their burger week menu I came across the valentines menu and it looked good, so I figured I would give it try. My husband's dinner was alot better than mine so I was eating some of his, even though we always share anyway. He got the oysters with a dragonfruit sauce and they were good. I ordered crab and corn soup with grilled focaccia bread. The soup itself was fine , but it was only half a bowl and not much crab in it. I would have liked more soup instead of the bread. I gave the bread to my husband because we got a good amount of bread for the appetizer and I didn't want to fill up too much. I probably should have ordered the calamari instead , that looked pretty good. My husband's scallops with risotto was very good. Seared perfectly, creamy risotto, good flavor. Normally that is what I like to order, but I got the crab pasta because I love crab. I was disappointed In this dish. The crab tasted a little too fishy like it went bad or something. I also got a number of shells in the crab I had to spit out. I feel like they could have mixed the crab with some kind of seasoning or flavors. It seemed like they just dumped the crab right out of the can into the pasta and didn't even clean the shells out first. And they didn't even put the pasta in any kind of sauce. I would have liked maybe a creamy sauce with it. The pasta was just in like a watery garlic broth, and it broke apart and crab went all in the water and I didn't even have a spoon to pick it up. Dessert was ok. I'm glad we got the dragonfruit cheesecake instead of the chocolate cake, it was refreshing . The tiramisu wasn't bad but it was still somewhat frozen. I was kind of surprised because we are fans of the Pieri group restaurants. We have been to their sister restaurant Stonerose for burger week for a number of years now and love it. We also came to burger week at bar sera the one year and really enjoyed theirs too. I wish they did them separate weeks so we could go to both . Maybe it was just an off night tonite. Sometimes valentines menus aren't as good as their regular menu. Maybe we learned our lesson to go out the week before valentines instead for next year.
