This weekend we had a 50th birthday party for my wife and had 17 people at our house. We used Mainline pizza for their catering - what a find!!! We had the house salad, bread, baked ziti, meatballs, chicken parmigiana with spaghetti. The food did not disappoint! First - you will get a ton of food for a very reasonable price. It was ready at the requested time and the staff even helped take it out to our vehicle. The baked ziti was amazing. Tons of cheese and sauce! The meatballs are homemade and cut in half ( for your guests who aren't eating 7) and we're fantastic. The chicken parmigiana Was lightly breaded with a ton of cheese. My office opted to have our Christmas party at the Devon Lanes where you can bring your own food and beverages. Someone brought in a couple of pizzas, a large salad and some wings from Main Line Pizza. The pizza was very good. I had to use a paper towel to blot off the excess oil. I didn't have any of the salad but this review for me is really about the wings. I haven't had hot wings in a minute and I was a real big fan of these. Wings are so subjective. People have some decidedly specific preferences. Some people don't mind a soft skinned wing. I am firmly against that. I like my wings fried hard? Others have asked how hard is too hard. Well I think crispy edges but skin that tears apart easily is the key. If its so hard you struggle to get your teeth into it that's clearly a problem. Main Line Pizza checked all my preference boxes and even surprised me because I am also an all "flats" person but I loved their drums just as well. In the spirit of the Super Bowl, they were who I thought they were. Very good ingredients, very well made, maybe a touch small and maybe a few cents more than I would have liked. It was a slow Saturday afternoon, I saw one of their specialty sandwiches was 'The South Philly.' I asked if they could make my cheesesteak a 'The South Philly' and they said yes. So my Cheesesteak came with roasted peppers, fresh spinach and mozzarella. The food looked good, so I got a cookie. I'm glad I got the cookie. Very good overall experience. read more

Main Line Pizza is so far my favorite pizza in the Wayne area for a basic pie. I have tried 4 other places before Main Line looking for a good plain cheese pizza, and their combo has been the best for take out. There are other pizza places in the area that have more "fancy" type pizzas that I enjoy as well, but sometimes I really just want a basic cheese pizza. Compared to other plain cheese pizzas in the area, Mainline has had the best: -tasting crust -tasting sauce -tasting cheese combination It also reheats extremely well the next day which is a must for me. Also, they have been the only place that believes a large pizza is 18 inches and not 16 inches so that is a huge bonus. Only downside I had with their pizza was the bottom crust. In my opinion it was undercooked and not crunchy enough. That is why I enjoyed it more the next day when I made it crispier on the skillet. Could have been the lemon pizza of the night and not typical for them. And I'm definitely going to give them another try. read more

The best pizza straight cheese in Wayne. The only 18 inch that we could find. As a note, I love pepperoni and my partner wants to try the pizza the first time as cheese only, so we get half and half. All of the pizzas in Wayne do a 40% 60% instead of a true 50/50 cheese pepperoni rationing. I get that it saves money and because every single pizza place does it, there's no foul here. We had various problems with other pizzas in town that we didn't have with Main Line. Other pizzas places in town either had tasteless cheese, not adequate sauce, bad crust, etc. Main Line half cheese half pepperoni was excellent! The cheese is really delicious, the sauce was great and the crust was good. Even reheated the pizza made me want to get another pie! I really liked it. It's the kind of pizza that reminds you how much you love pizza! For a no frills take out pizza I'd only recommend Main Line Pizza. read more

Very disappointed with the state of our pizzas upon arrival. Both pizzas have clearly been sliding around on their way over. We called immediately to explain what we had experienced and the response was "what do you want to do about it", "the vegetable pizza is a heavy pizza" We wanted a refund since we are from out of town and quite frankly did not care to get the pizzas remade. The end result was a credit. At the end of the conversation the woman stated is there anything else I can do? I advised they talk to the delivery driver and suggest not to allow the pizzas to slide around. The response I got was "yea they were hot". Aren't they all supposed to be? Would order their Spinach salad again, very good. Did have to cut the tomatoes and mushrooms to reasonable sizes, but overall this was well done. Everything else on our order was just blah. The pizza was tasteless, the serving of eggplant Parmesan was very small, the Tuscan salad was just a bunch of oversized cucumbers and tomatoes with no flavor, AND, the cheesesteak had so little meat on it we took the meat that was there and made a half a sandwich out if it. Ummmm, I visited yesterday at lunchtime on the recommendation of a coworker and I'm not feeling it. We sat inside in a long narrow aisle with tiny impractical tables. While we were there it sounded like the kitchen staff went to war with the pizza pans. There was so much crashing and banging that we winced several times! I ordered a mushroom cheesesteak, side of fries and I grabbed a small bottle of Snapple out of the cooler. This cost me $14 and change for lunch. My cheesesteak was hot and the roll was decent but it seriously lacked seasoning. It was also on the small side. Of course my fries were frozen and from a bag but that was expected. They had been sitting a while so they were not crispy. Overall I was underwhelmed. This place is surrounded by other places to have lunch. I'll be making other choices next time. read more

Dear Reader, I ordered a catering lunch for our executive team, and there were lots of leftovers. The chicken didn't look fully cooked, the salad dressings looked gross (odd in color/consistency - and no one touched them), and the "Housemade Pesto Sauce" was not pesto. Attached is a picture. It looks like they dumped dried basil into some oil, which didn't even taste like olive oil. Now, I make pesto sauce at home from scratch and I've lived in Italy - I KNOW what pesto looks and tastes like. Basil is an incredibly pungent herb with a strong scent & flavor. Their "Pesto" was not made with fresh basil, as the flavor was simply not there. The cheap jarred pesto that I mistakenly bought once in the italian aisle at the grocery store was better than their dish... yeah. Anyway, I let it go, said nothing and decided to order elsewhere next time. Then, I get a phone call from someone asking me what I thought of the order. I proceeded to tell him these things, and then he started arguing with me, saying that people "rave" about their pesto, and that they don't add nuts for allergy purposes, and then he had the audacity to say that he should have called me to see if I wanted the parmesan. Are you serious?!?! If I didn't want Parmesan and Pine Nuts, then I wouldn't have ordered Pesto. They called ME. And then argued with me, which was very rude. They have no idea what pesto is, and I don't have time for the false advertising, excessive phone calls regarding popular established recipes, or their questionable chicken. The whole experience was absolutely ridiculous. Please don't call me again. I don't want freebies, discounts, or food from your establishment ever again. To Potential Customers: the Pizza might be good - but I didn't order that, and have never tried it. Don't order the catering unless you try the food first; that way there aren't any unwanted surprises. I have ordered many times from Main Line. They have the best pizza. This includes their zero carb crust. I reviewed back when they first started offering it last fall and loved it! I ordered one for lunch today and was so disappointed! It was not only burnt, but COLD! It wasn't even warm! The cheese had solidified, the toppings were cold and it arrived 15 minutes late! The kicker was, when I called to let them know, the man I spoke with told me I was wrong. I was very calm and polite until he insisted that it couldn't possibly be cold and told me I was exaggerating. This was the worst customer service I have ever received from Main Line Pizza. Today I was on a healthy kick and instead of ordering a sub or pizza, I got a buffalo chicken salad from here... I shouldn't say I'm surprised - but it was really good! Everything we've ordered from them has been good. My salad was HUGE! Lots of buffalo chicken in this, and the salad was really fresh (the tomatoes, lettuce, onion) were all good and I was happy that I chose a better alternative, even if I don't do this enough. The Tuscan salad was the perfect accompaniment. Kalamata olives, coarsely grated parmesan cheese and homemade croutons over cukes, tomatoes and red onions. The Best! I love this place. Their large size pizza is HUGE, you really get your moneys worth. They actually don't deliver to where I live, I must be very close outside their limits. But I continually drive to pick up pizza all the time, they are so worth it. This might be the only pizza place I would drive to go get, usually when I order pizza it's because I'm feeling lazy and want deliver. I haven't had a lie I didn't like. Absolutely awful. I got two slices and a Snapple and it came to $8.60, more than twice what I've ever paid elsewhere. The pizza was overly salty and I wondered if it was actually frozen and reheated. I'm not from the area so don't know what other choices there are, but I was hungry and didn't know where else to go; it's right on the main drag in town. They got an extra star for the size of the slices, but I'm rethinking that as they are not sitting well. I ordered from Mail Line Pizza today for the first time. Let me just say it will be the LAST. They showed up 45 minutes after they said they would be there. An hour and a half total time. I live less that a mile away from them. The food was ice cold. I had ordered a couple of sandwiches and some wings. The bag was dripping from the sauce. It spilled all over the sandwiches and fries. Good flavor, and I liked the chicken to cheese ratio, but I asked for it with peppers and they maybe put on 2 thin pepper slices that they chopped up finely with the chicken. About two months ago I started a carb free diet. The only thing that I couldn't have that I was really craving was pizza. I then found out about Main Line Pizza's zero carb pizza. It's made with cauliflower instead of a traditional crust. I thought there was no way that it would be any good, but wanted pizza so badly I decided to give it a try. So glad that I did. The pizza was delicious and absolutely satisfied that craving. The entire pie is only 600 calories, so my wife and I split it guilt free. It is not the cheapest pizza and is a bit of a drive for us, but is well worth it. I cannot recommend them highly enough. read more
