It's a good gym. I went here for about 6 months. The manager is very nice and works very hard. The other employees are great also. They have a few members that try to put their nose in your business you act as if they run the place and they do not have any say. Overall the gym is clean and pretty relaxed. read more

5 stars because it's never busy and I value that a lot. I usually go between 6am and 8am everyday and there's an average of 3 people there. Multiple rooms with plenty of machines and multiple racks of dumb bells up to 100lbs. Has everything you'd need. read more

I was in town for the weekend and since I'm already member of af I tried this location. Gym isn't bad, lots of machines and plenty of room compared to my usual location. But there was a jackass of a member there. It was an older guy with tattoos that apparently just got over a heart attack or something. In any case he made sure to tell me slamming the weights was distracting him. I've been working out for over 30 years, I'm sure that I was slamming any weights beyond reason. It's metal on metal, there will be a little sound. In any case he made his statement. The funny thing is the whole time he was there he didn't wipe down one machine. Screw distractions, that's just disgusting. Out of respect for my elders I kept my mouth shut and wiped down any equipment he used before I used it and of course wiped down after myself. read more

Went here when I first moved to Wa. to get back into the gym. I work the overnight shift at my job so having a fitness center that was open 24 hours was desirable. Unfortunately I can not speak of the facility inside, because when I arrived, the door was locked. I was there on a Saturday and it was obvious the place was "open". I had even made sure to get there during office hours, but when I knocked on the door, one of the ladies at the counter and whomever she was talking to, shot me a glance, no recognition or "sorry" or"come back later", just went right back to talking, but now with knowing smiles on their faces. I am guessing this must be some sort of regular occurrence for them. I suppose it is a blessing in a disguise, however and didn't have to experience this elitist attitude AFTER I paid for a membership. Bye, anytime fitness! read more

This is the 3rd Anytime Fitness I've used in OR/WA. Decent place and easy to find. I typically drop in here on my way home to Corvallis, OR from Everett, WA. The facility is fairly clean and easy to find your way around. There are a small amount of cardio machines, but they are typically empty around 6-7pm. The back room for stretching is a nice touch. Now, the bathrooms. I've stayed at 4 star hotels with worse bathrooms. They are great, plenty of room to change and shower. read more

I found this to be a nice gym to visit. I'm in town for a bit and they had good daily rates. The reception staff was very courteous. I liked that the machines had very accommodating cup holders for my giant water bottle. The gym itself was spacey and clean with nice ventilation. I also liked how it was sectioned off into smaller areas, so you could choose to be with a crowd or work out more privately. I had a good experience and will definitely come back here next time I'm in town. read more

Where do I even begin.... When I signed up for my membership with Anytime Fitness, I was really excited. The place is open every day of the week, all hours of the day and night, and it was perfect for my work schedule. When signing up, the OWNER informed me that it was a month-to-month contract and that I could pay with either a check or with cash. PERFECT, I thought! WRONG! I will admit that I did not read the contract at first and that was my fault completely. Well after they took the first payment out of my account after I had already given them a check (which they CASHED) the owner then informs me that I can only pay through electronic debit, and that they do not accept cash or checks as form of monthly payment. Well that was nice to know after they've already stolen my money. I decided I was done with them and wanted to cancel my membership, only to find out that I would have to pay a massive fee of 600 dollars! I asked why since I was told this was month-to-month only to find out that NOPE, it's an 18 month contract! Again, I realize this is my fault for not reading the contract. I later went in and asked for a copy of my contract so that I would know exactly what was going on. The owner was extremely rude to me and I sincerely felt like she was making fun of me and treating me like an idiot. When I asked for my copy of my contract she snootily responded with "I give EVERYONE a copy of their contract upon signing." but when I insisted, she pulls out my contract and oh look, my copy is STILL attached to the contract. :) Fancy that. After reading over my contract and dealing with this gym for the full 18 months, I called them the day before my contract was due to expire to ensure that they would cancel my contract, only to find out that I had to come into the gym to sign a cancellation paper, which I should not have to do. But because I was beyond fed up with the owner, I went in on the day that my contract expired and signed the cancellation form. Today marks one month since the day I signed that form and I wake up this morning to find that they have withdrawn a monthly payment from my account (which I only use for bills) and overdrawn my account! I called the owner and her only explanation for this was, "oh, looks like that didn't get cancelled." Needless to say, if you like being lied to repeatedly and screwed over than Anytime Fitness Centralia is the place for you!! If not, don't go anywhere near that place. Sincerely, One very unsatisfied customer. UPDATE: So yesterday (after writing this review) the owner of the gym told me that she would write me a refund check for the payment that was taken from my account. Later the same day I went into the gym to speak to her in person and ask for the check. She told me that she couldn't give it to me until the following morning, and we agreed to meet at the gym at 9 am. I went there this morning at 8:50 and I was sitting there until 10:15. She never showed up.... I had to go home since I had to get ready for work, and I had already called the business and left three separate voice mails asking for a return call. I decided to try one more time on my way to work around 11 am and she answers the phone, having been there for about half an hour without calling me back, and tells me she had a family emergency. Her exact words were, "I should have just given you the check yesterday." Um.... I ASKED for the check when I went in there and she told me there was no way she could get it to me until the following morning, so there's ANOTHER lie. I managed to get the refund check and straighten things out with my bank but this is one headache that I would not wish on anyone. read more

I'm in Washington with my fiancé for work. We'll be out here for at least 6 weeks. Was considering joining for a month or so. I spoke with a man/boy over the phone about a 7 day pass and he said I had to live in the town and refused to give me a pass. I explained that I'd be here for at least 6 weeks and might join for the month. Wouldn't that make me eligible for a 7 day pass? He says no. I tried to explain the situation to him and said I will have to find somewhere else to workout. He didn't try to talk me into coming in to chat or resolving the matter. He offered me the daily fee of 8 dollars which I can't afford right now. I'm highly disappointed. I am an avid gym goer. I'm not someone that will cause trouble or ruin the equipment. I just want somewhere safe to workout. Anytime fitness Centralia, Washington off of Harrison Avenue is the location. If anyone could rectify this I would be greatly appreciative. I travel around the country for business; and if any other Anytime Fitness owned the same OLD AND OUTDATED cardiovascular equipment...I would relinquish my membership of 5 years! Treadmills extremely outdated, and recumbent bike??? Travel 40 minutes further to Elma. WA! They will show any member of Anytime Fitness how to do it!!! The PROBLEM...who has an additional 40 minutes each way for a gym. The annual fees should provide decent and state of art equipment. I think I may need to find someplace else if nothing changes in NEAR FUTURE! read more

I really was disappointed with how hard it was to cancel my membership or even get ahold of anyone there! I left over half a dozen voicemails and countless emails regarding my membership and questions I had and never heard back. I wish there was a corporate place I could get ahold of to let them know how impossible it is to get any response. I feel they were rude also every time I had gone in there to talk to them in person. It was a huge waste of money! Information was left out, I had to constantly go out of my way to even get my membership put on "hold" which I was not informed that that extend my contract. Just very very disappointing. I'd much rather deal with thorbecks anyday! At least there I can talk to someone and not have to constantly go out of my way for information. read more

I like the facility well enough, the equipment is quality even if it's a little old. The passive aggressive notes to re-rack your weights are annoying and counterproductive. Ask people to do what you'd like them to, "Please be courteous and re-rack you weights," and maybe they will. read more

This place blows in terms of customer service, which is all that really matters in most businesses. The office is never staffed when you need someone, those that are there "can't do anything" about your issue, no matter what it is. The facilities are good, clean, well maintained, but that doesn't nearly make up for the hell I had to go through to both sign up, use, and quit this gym. First off, if you want to get in you have to get lucky enough to follow someone in, because no one is there. Secondly, no one there after you get in can help you sign up. Thirdly, they have hidden fees and shitty service. When I signed up for the month to month contract, I was explicitly told that it was going to be 35 bucks a month plus enrollment fees the first month. Two months later, I was being charged 58 bucks a month twice in a row! I called to complain and they said "The person who handles that isn't here right now". I called everyday for a week and they never showed up. I finally got a hold of Joanna, who is apparently in charge of everything there, and she said it was a "yearly temporary increase that we only charge twice in a 12 month period". I bitched but couldn't get it reversed. I went for several more months, and was charged the promised amount during that time. About 7 months later, when I went to cancel because I moved and they don't have locations nearby my new address, I couldn't get a hold of anyone! I wrote an email asking them to cancel and send me confirmation of my cancellation, and two weeks passed. I was charged 58 bucks again during this time, despite the fact that the one year period had not passed since the last time I was charged. I called and didn't get anyone, and finally after the third call got Joanna again. I complained about the fees, the fact that I had cancelled 2 weeks ago and still gotten charged what she said was only a 2x a year fee even though it hadn't been a year yet. She said I'd have to come in to cancel, and I told her I had moved and couldn't do that. I got her to agree to canceling it over the phone. I asked if I should mail the radio tag key they gave me, as I didn't want to be charged for it. She has explicitly said, "No, we won't charge you for that don't worry". I felt I should document this in some way in case I get charged again in the coming months, and yelp seemed like a great way to shit all over their crappy service at the same time. We'll see if I get charged or not, but either way, don't use this particular location. read more
