We are having a horrible experience with this Company. My Sister, who is 84 years old called them because they showed up on Google close to the top. My Sister does not understand anything about sponsored ads. She had a leaky faucet in her bathtub. They proposed cutting into the wall all kinds of things. They had her sign an agreement and charged her upfront for the work to be done. My other Sister, as soon as we found out, contacted them and told them that we wanted to get a second bid before proceeding. We ultimately called another plumber, who fixed the problem for much much less money. We dealt with Torrence as the plumber and he seemed to have the authority to help us. But alas, he does not have that authority. We have sent an email recently trying to recoup some of the money that my Sister has spent, but they are non non responsive. Stay away from this Company! I am researching how to report this company to the department of regulatory agencies. I would appreciate an impartial investigation into the business practices of this firm. read more

From the first call, they employed ABUSIVE, high-pressure sales tactics, calling repeatedly and DEMANDING my credit card for a non-refundable $265.15 "late night special" fee. They promised the fee would be credited if I hired them. This was a scam. The technician performed ZERO actual service or diagnosis--he didn't even touch the water heater. Instead, he instantly handed me an outrageous, fraudulent quote of nearly $6,000.00 for a replacement. I immediately checked local rates: reputable plumbers quoted the EXACT SAME JOB for only $3,000 to $3,500. Anywhere Rooter's quote was DOUBLE THE MARKET RATE! This wasn't a quote; it was DECEPTIVE PRICING designed to nullify the promised credit and fleece a desperate customer. The technician even exposed their incompetence by mentioning an "attic inspection" when my house has NO attic. When I contacted them twice to demand accountability and a refund for the $265.15 fee (for a service that was never performed), I was STONESWALLED. They flat-out refused to refund the money and refused to let me speak to ANY manager or supervisor. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They prey on emergencies with high-pressure sales, issue outrageous quotes, and refuse accountability. I demand my $265.15 back immediately. I tried this place bc of the Google reviews. Only now did I see the Yelp reviews and apparently I should have saved myself the trouble. Anyways I made appointments 2 times for sewer inspections. Both times they gave me a 4 hour window and then proceeded to run over it. The 2nd time was egregious: they told me 1-5pm. I called every hr after 5pm for an updated ETA. They said they were coming each time. Then finally I call again around 9pm and they said they are still running over and will have to do it tmrw morning. Something is really wrong with the way they operate when they go 4 hours past a 4 hr window and dont even have the curtesy to call a customer to tell them. Its been an absolute waste of time dealing with them and no I didn't try to reschedule it for the morning knowing there's a decent chance they'll just do it all over again. No thanks! read more

I had a pinhole leak in a hot water line in the basement ceiling. The ceiling had already been opened and the drywall removed. The technician fixed the leak in 20 minutes. Not a good company/extremely poor customer service. We had a clogged kitchen sink drain that we tried to clear with a 25' auger to no avail. I contacted Lakewood Plumbing Experts (5 stars on Google), they forwarded my call to 'local' plumber Anywhere Rooter. Anywhere Rooter plumbers showed later in the day and tried a 65' auger to no avail. They suggested hydro-jetting at $1350 which was to include a post-service pipe video and all service charges, taxes, etc. Though I thought it pricey, I was fine at this point and agreed to the charges since I was leasing and wanted to send the video to the homeowner. The line was cleared and they ran the camera so I gave them contact info and a check. Check was cashed next day, but neither I nor the homeowner received an invoice or video so I reached out to their company. They forwarded me an invoice which mis-spelled my name and only listed Hydro-jetting @ $1350 with no further detail. I emailed back asking for the correction and a breakout or at least a re-hashing of the situation and the services provided so I could provide it to the homeowner for reimbursement. One week later, I called - said they'd do it - did not. Two and three weeks later, same, but with increasing hostility from customer service. On the last call they said they'd provide the video taken for an additional $250 though the plumbers said it was included. I told them that was ridiculous and that this was not the way to gain follow-up service requests or endorsements - they stated that they were OK with that. The plumbers seemed to have done a decent job, but pricing was high for the services that were provided and customer service was beyond poor. I'm negotiating with the homeowner for partial reimbursement. Look elsewhere for your plumbing needs. read more

The prices we were quoted were around $1000 less than what were charged to our credit card. when asked for invoices with charges explained they were not provided I was told $400 was the charge for using a credit card. The repairs were for a rental unit which is too far for us to personally inspect. We let the tenants arrange for repairs. They were in a hurry to get the repairs done so we just went with it.. We ended up paying $13000 for a water softener and hot water filter based on what Keenan told us. Had we checked around we probably would have paid about $3000. I called a plumbing company called "Corey & Son's Plumbing" first and some how the number I called got directed to Anywhere Rooter. Many scam artists and businesses use this method where you think you are calling a different place based on your Google search and it sends the call to their business line. Anyway because this was an emergency I wanted to get this fixed right away for not only myself but for my neighbors, this so called plumbing company came out, "fixed the problem" and charged me almost $3k for the repairs and services. Which i thought was too expensive! They even charged me $130 to run my credit card! What a crock of bullshit! But whatever got it supposedly taken care of. Took a shower a few days later and the water leak was not fixed! So I called the company back, asking them to come back at NO COST to repair the leak they failed to fix in the first place and the best they could offer me was a 15% off deal which they quoted me $2k more to fix!? I told them to go kick rocks with flip flops!! I got a plumber out here recommended by a friend and we found the issue and the leak. We had a horrible experience with Anywhere Rooters. We had a sewage gas smell in our brand new house and called them to check it out. On the first visit they claimed it was a wax seal in one of the toilets which they charged us $300+ for only to have the smell continue to be an issue afterwards. We called them back and they sent someone else out who said we needed to get the pipes hydro-jetted and it could cost $1500 dollars. At this point we did not trust them at all and called another plumber who came by and found the issue in 10 minutes (the builder installed a vent pipe improperly) and charged us $100. Be careful of this predatory business. They charged us a $129 dispatch fee which they do not disclose ahead of time, and will refuse to leave your property until you pay it. My pregnant wife was very uncomfortable with their insistence on payment in-person- unfortunately I wasn't there to refuse payment. They also rescheduled the appointment 3 times. Feel free to do business with them if you want to support modern day extortion. BTW - We reached out to multiple businesses for a quote. Others disclosed their dispatch fee upfront, so there was no surprise. I am not disputing businesses needing or wanting to charge what they need to in order to protect their time and resources. Went with someone else who did the whole job for $95 bucks with flat rates online and no nonsense. TLDR: They tried to charge me through the moon ($1,800) and didn't leave my house after being asked to leave over the course of 2 hours. They charged me $125 to come out (which they didn't disclose up front) despite the guy "having new information" to try and convince me to give them money. The longer story. The "Plumber" with his 5 years of experience came up with four different levels of progressively cheaper option based on "new information" after I specifically asked him to leave. The first, " You have to hydrojet the mainline and it'll be $1800 and I'm giving you a discount because our older guys would charge you $2,200 or $2,300". For the record you can get a flat rate quote for $695 for that work, I also mentioned this to him. I then told him that we weren't going to do that work and would be getting another quote. He then DIDN'T LEAVE MY HOUSE and proceeded to do things there. He calls and tells me he has new information and that it would be $1525 because he will only need to hydrojet around the toilet area because everything else is draining. Making things up that couldn't be possible given the maintenance history of the system. Following that, he tells me they won't auger the toilet because the company has a policy against it but instead, he'll take the toilet off and try and see if he can shake it out. That would only cost me $300, but that doesn't typically work, so it'll be an extra 600 to replace the toilet. Speaking with his supervisor was just as bad, same tactics, "Augering toilets leads to confrontations with customers, so we don't do it". All of this, after he said he hadn't even tried to plunge the clog... Overall, worst company I've ever had come out to my house. Hostile tactics and pricing. Wouldn't leave the property, still can't believe that one. You're better off leaving a wild ferret in your bathroom with a toilet brush and bear mace than using these guys. read more

Paying them to remove/replace a functioning but worn looking faucet and low-flow toilet resulted in a new wobbly toilet and a completely non-functional faucet and them demanding an additional $900 on top of an already overpriced job - just to make the new faucet have flowing water. None of their 3 employees that visited my house were actual plumbers. All 3 employees verbalized a "I just work here" attitude when questioned on their high prices and unsatisfactory work results. It all started with a leak in back of my house. They replaced a mixer valve and bathtub faucet. Next day no hot water in the tub but all other faucets had it. They canceled the next day appointment. The techs came out the following day, made an adjustment to the faucet and turned the hot water heater up ( which wasn't ever a problem) They told me to expect the heating elements to go out. maybe because the high temperature they set it at is harder on the elements? When we called Anywhere Rooter, we were greeted by a receptionist who told us they were running a special and could get it done the same day for around $70-$90. She clearly stated that keeping the camera footage would be an extra $250, but since we didn't expect any issues, we declined. That phone call was the first and last positive experience we had with this company. They proceeded to no-show not once, but twice, for two separate 4-hour appointment windows. That's eight hours of sitting at home waiting for absolutely nothing. I don't even have an issue with this at first because I realize stuff happens. It was the lack of customer service that came next that really frustrated me. The day after they were originally supposed to come, I finally got a call around 1pm informing me -- with zero hesitation -- that the inspection would actually cost over $300. When I explained how unacceptable it was to waste our entire day only to be told we were misquoted, the receptionist couldn't have cared less. I was connected to this company by my hot water heater warranty customer service hotline-the connection just went out to whatever plumbers in the area were open after hours, and I didn't have time to research the company before being connected (I didn't even know who I was connected with-I had to ask!). If I had slowed down and taken the time to research them before scheduling the service call, I would have saved myself $1289-which is essentially what I paid for a service call with no service received. Also, my hot water heater is 3.5 years old...unreal that it would require such an expensive fix so soon. The technician, Keenan (no last name given on his business card), came out at 10:30pm-showed up with no tools, did not seem knowledgeable or professional, but was able to tell me it would be an $1800 fix. For whatever reason, I was nervous and wanted to have it repaired before the long holiday weekend after spending a week without a consistently working furnace. They asked for 70% down before the repair, which I questioned and was told this was standard practice. I felt so uneasy about handing over my credit card to be charged on a broken phone with a sketchy square attachment. But that is how this company works-they put you on the spot, create a sense of urgency, and make it sound like it is the only way and they are the only ones who can fix the problem well and in a timely manner. They also promised me a 10 year warranty on the replaced part-they said that is why the fix would be so expensive. When I read the invoice after it was sent later that morning, it is actually a 90 day warranty...so they were dishonest about that as well. I was not verbally notified of the 25% cancellation fee before I was charged-I was asked to sign multiple documents on a phone with a severely broken screen (on which the document was not visible, just the line to sign...again, that's on me-I should have asked to see what I was signing, but either way he did not disclose this cancellation practice). I scheduled the repair for the following afternoon. The next morning I took my time reading reviews about the company and instantly felt sick-not just that I had been super scammed, but I was worried to have these people do any kind of work in my home because I feared they would make matters FAR worse. I called and cancelled my service (in under 24 hours of having scheduled it)-during which, Stephanie, the customer service technician was pushy about me cancelling-she even threatened that they were the only company in Colorado that had the part I needed for my repair (another lie because we had a WAY BETTER COMPANY come out and do the repair the same day with this magical elusive part--see end of review for the company we ended up using). I have tried multiple times by phone and email to get some sort of documentation that a refund is being processed (even if it is only for half of what I paid, making it a $616.43 service call with no service performed). I have called, emailed, and received no written documentation or a case number or anything related to a potential refund. So I recorded a phone call with Stephanie this morning (I notified her I was recording) asking for the specific amount I can expect to see go back to my card-$673.05. She said I paid with a check (which I did NOT), and that my refund would be processed within 4-6 weeks (which is crazy unreasonable). I let her know during this recorded call that after reading multiple reviews from people who are still fighting to receive their refunds months after the initial transactions, that I would be disputing the charge of $1289.48 to be only $616.43, which would essentially give me the $673.05 refund I am expecting from this company. My credit card bank is working on this dispute as of now. Anyone who works for this company should be ashamed of themselves. I am a public school teacher and my partner is an electrician. We do not have disposable income, and our emergency fund shouldn't be drained for triple what something should cost. I generally trust tradespeople who come to our home on their pricing because my partner chronically undercharges his clients because he has such a good heart and actually cares about the people he is working to help. We ended up finding same day service for a third of the price from Front Range Water Heater and Excavation...Tim did a great job and we have a working water heater. And then when we tried to cancel the work because that is a ridiculous price for that job they wanted said they are going to keep 25% for canceling. Leah (scheduler) is so rude as soon as you have any questions about what work is going to be done and why it is so much higher than other plumbers. BEWARE OF "ANYWHERE ROOTER"!!! UNETHICAL RIP-OFF ARTISTS!! QUOTED $2,500 by Anywhere Rooter, but had other ETHICAL plumber install for $395! My shower faucet was leaking. Looking on Google, I picked a local plumber, 6 blocks from my house. I called the number shown and was asked to share my zip code. I was connected and arranged an appointment. Plumber was supposed to show up between 1-5 PM. I canceled a doctor's appointment and took the afternoon off of work to stay at the home to wait. At 4:30 PM, I called the number, making sure they were still coming. I somehow got a different company, that did not have me on the schedule. I called twice again, thinking I had mis-dialed and got TWO MORE, other, DIFFERENT companies- ALL at the same phone number!! At almost 7PM a totally different company, from 50 miles away, showed up. The phone number on his truck was not the number I had called. And his truck number was different from the phone number on his business card!! The fellow was pleasant enough but, he told me the leaky shower valve was a failed cartridge. He indicated with his hands it was about 10" long and 3" in diameter. "The cost of things these days has gone way up!" he said. He called his office and got me a "big discount" of $500, so my repair would be ONLY $2,500." He was bragging about all the $30,000 jobs he'd been doing! I asked him why, each time I called the same number, I'd get a different company? He said "his company pays $450 for each referral through the phone number" that looked like it was associated with my nearby plumber. (So I guess they pass that "marketing fee" along to us suckers, I mean customers.) I told him I'd call the next day to let him know if I could arrange to find that kind of money. I asked for a written estimate. It was emailed. It was an essay of our conversation and my trip charge paid, but no estimate amount, no parts, no labor, hourly rate, trip charge were even indicated. I took the estimate to a legal friend and they stated this company could charge me anything they wanted since they didn't put in a number! I asked them to resend a real estimate. They sent the same one with 2 spelling errors corrected and no price! They must take advantage of hundreds of people with plumbing issues. I AM THRILLED TO HAVE ESCAPED THIS POTENTIAL LAWSUIT! Their reviews online are HORRID! And rightfully so! I spoke with my dear neighbor and got a truly local, REPUTABLE plumber, who showed up early the next morning. He went over to Lowe's. They diverted a call to a different company and claimed the company I tried to call was out of business and they were getting their calls. It was a lie. They quoted exorbitant prices to fix things and demanded almost all of it up front BEFORE any work was done. they never gave me a receipt. I wrote a check and then later cancelled it because things seemed fishy. Problem was I wrote it from a different account, and they cashed it. I've been trying to get a refund to no avail. Bill went from a few hundred dollars to $2,990, and we were told 25 foot of cast iron pipe had to be replaced at a cost of $11,000. Nothing resolved thus far. * Wasted 19 hours waiting for workers: late the first day, no-show the second, very late the third. * After 18 hours of waiting, I tried to cancel and cut losses. A rep lied and said someone was en route--another rep called 30 min later saying the tech was still cleaning up a different job. * The plumbers did fine, but it wasn't a difficult job. * I walked away feeling ignored, misled, and taken advantage of. The worst plumber I have ever worked with by far. They have 1.6 stars on BBB - Don't show up on time - Broke my toilet - Overcharged me - Never fixed the original issue I basically paid them 600 to make my situation worse for 3 days. They showed up 4 hours late, were unable to do the work they promised they could do (snake through my floor drain), and overcharged me (100 above the competitor), BROKE MY TOILET, tried to overcharge me AGAIN to pay them 2000 more dollars. They did offer to replace my toilet, so long as I agreed to pay full price for the over priced work. Rude founder, TERRIBLE SERVICE, will overcharge you, and will be super rude every step of the way. read more

the absolute worst plumbing company in Aurora. DO NOT. I REPEAT DO NOT even call them. I gave them $4000 to replace a pipe and it did not fix the leak. they told me afterwards the leak was in yhe wall and it would take a full gut job to fix (they did not return the $4k). I then tried to work something out with them to try and make up the money I spent and them not wanting to refund my money. Trying not to make a fuss I asked if they could install my toilet and sink in another project I have. i figured hey we'll call it even if you do this simple job for me. it has been four months of them saying they're otw and no-show. I pretty much just donated $4000 to this company so you're welcome, I guess smh! read more
