This company is fraudulent! Do not even think about using these scammers. They diverted a call to a different company and claimed the company I tried to call was out of business and they were getting their calls. It was a lie. They quoted exorbitant prices to fix things and demanded almost all of it up front BEFORE any work was done. they never gave me a receipt. I wrote a check and then later cancelled it because things seemed fishy. Problem was I wrote it from a different account, and they cashed it. I've been trying to get a refund to no avail. They said I'll get back what I paid minus 25% of the check and a $125 trip charge. But, it'll take four to six weeks. I doubt I'll ever get any of it back. I gave them $4000 to replace a pipe and it did not fix the leak. they told me afterwards the leak was in yhe wall and it would take a full gut job to fix (they did not return the $4k). Do not trust this company. I called this company due to a mainline backup. A man came and they wanted to charge me about 3x the cost for a hydrojet cleaning. They came down in price but then did not do the job as I had my line scoped with a camera the next day. The line had barely been cleaned out. Then, Anywhere Rooter workers put a camera into my mainline and made a big deal out of small issues and claimed I had a broken pipe under my basement foundation, and they needed to remove concrete and perhaps the tile in my bathroom to find a repair a broken pipe. I sent them on their way which did not make them happy. The next day I had a reliable company snake my shower drain and the clog was fixed. The reliable company also had to fix the shoddy work done by Anywhere Rooter when they installed a clean out for my main line. This company was hoping to do damaging work to my home for no reason and charge me thousands of dollars. read more

DO NO USE THIS COMPANY! I called them for a client's house where we needed the sewer to be cleaned & rescoped. They told me over the phone they would do this for $124.99. When they showed up (2 hours late) KEENAN they said I should do the $1700 Hydojet sewer service. I refused. I asked them to just do the regular cleaning we talked about and James proceeded to clean the sewer line. They were about to leave and I asked specifically "you're going to re-scope it, right?" And James said, "YES". They there were about to drive away and I asked AGAIN about re-scoping. They said they "don't have the camera on the truck" and would be back the next day. They left and I was still charged my card $129. They never came back the next day. I called the office and they said their $124.99 cleaning doesn't include re-scoping the line, but they could do it for another $250! BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY I cannot express how horrible my experience was with this company. It's clear they operate with zero integrity. They have a business model that perpetuates customer abuse. My renters had an issue with the downstairs toilet. We called them on the weekend to resolve the issue for a great upfront price but as soon as they got there, the scam started. They said they couldn't go through my downstairs toilet so without my permission they went through my upstairs toilet and then said they couldn't reach the clog so that they would need a Hydro jet which costed $1500 and that it required a "camera supervisor" to come in and take a look at it to see what was blocking it. After using the snake and Hydro jet, they said everything was fixed for now and that the so-called "camera supervisor" was on their way. Why would the camera supervisor show up after he snaked and Hydro jetted? My renters waited up until 9pm when he finally showed up. I guess he fiddled around with some things and then called us and said that we would have to replace our entire main pipe but that he can do it for $12,000 but not dig it up the sidewalk , and only half yard?? That's impossible. Why would they need to replace all my pipes if they fixed the issue? They wanted to get it done as soon as possible and said that they needed a deposit ASAP. We asked for the camera feed to see how the pipes looked and he said that he couldn't give it to us. Finally we told them we did not want to replace the pipes and after some back-and-forth, he assured us that the issue they came out for and ended up charging us $2200 for was fixed. The next day my renters asked when the plumbers will be back to resolve the issue!! Nightmare, $2200 and all these back-and-forth calls with the "camera supervisor" assuring that they resolved the issue with the Hydro jet that they insisted that we needed because nothing else would fix it and my renters were wondering when the issue was going to be resolved because they we're still experiencing the issue. So then we had to pay another plumber to come in that day, he Put a camera down The pipes, gave us the camera feed, showing us the blockage, fix the blockage and charge us a very reasonable price. Easy, problem solved! Avoid this company at all costs! They will rip you off and act in bad faith. And then when you try to resolve it, you get random operators and can never talk to anybody that knows anything. I'm sure they're paying for all these great reviews because there is no way that people are having that many good experiences with them. These guys are a big scam. We got connected to them accidentally because I think they bought out another business. they are F on better business bureau and are not accredited. We had a leak coming through our ceiling and were desperate for someone to take a look at it. We should have gotten multiple quotes but we needed it fixed. They couldn't find the initial leak, and when we called them back after taking out the drywall they slapped us with an exorbitant fee to fix. They said it was going to take "two guys" and it seemed like it was going to take hours. Not the case. Two guys did come over but one was clearly a trainee and didn't need to be there. They fixed everything in an hour, it was an unreal amount of money for such an easy job.Talking to other folks in the industry they could have done this at a fraction of the cost. They also promised us a report with pictures, but they just wrote an overview of things on the invoice. It seemed very unprofessional and predatory. I will say for them, the leak has been fixed and seems to be holding up, so at least we got things corrected, but I will definitely not use them again and do not recommend this business. read more

Too long to read? This place is horrible! Where do I start? The need for three visits was entirely my landlord's fault BUT could have been avoided if communication was a little better. Even though I was extremely apologetic, the woman I spoke with was incredibly and unprofessional. I also did not appreciate the fact that I was given a window of 9am-1pm, was called at 1pm and told the plumber would be late. I asked how late but they didn't know. Okay, sh*t happens, I was disappointed but understood. At 4:30, I called to ask if they had an idea when we might see the plumber. I was told they would call the plumber to find out where he was. An hour later (now 5:30pm) I was told he was 30 minutes away. Finally, an hour later, at 6:30 he showed up. When he showed up he asked if we had the new faucet. Apparently my landlord told him she was going to drop it off, she did not. Again, this was not Anywhere Rooter's fault, but had anyone at any point asked if we had the faucet, we could have saved time (my time and the plumber's time) but instead I wasted an entire day waiting. All this could've been forgiven but the conversation I had with the woman at the desk that followed when I rescheduled was unforgivable. I work in customer service so I an hyper aware of how I treat people and can tell you that her tone and language was not justified or excusable. I thought the plumber was okay UNTIL we noticed that after he "fixed it" the water was still leaking under sink AND he didn't fix the other problem of water backing up into my dishwasher so nothing was solved and I have no idea how much they charged my landlord for this hack job. I sincerely hope no one has to go through the experience I went through with Anywhere Rooter. I experienced a gas leak in my home and after confirming it with Excel and them turning off the gas supply to our home, I made the mistake of calling Anywhere Rooter. Though they came out promptly, they also took almost $800 to perform an air pressure test, then promptly got called out to another job and left me hanging, $800 out of pocket and no test performed. They said they would be out first thing the next morning. Well, first thing to them meant 2 p.m. in the afternoon, and then finally after performing the air pressure test and confirming where I determined the gas leak was at, they wanted another $2450 up front to fix the issue. I told George that after taking my money the day before and then disappearing, that I wouldn't pay until after the work was performed. While he was talking to his office, my husband, who was out of town, called in and said that this was a $100 part and a $10 clamp and told me to have them leave the property. Luckily we were able to have our plumbing contractor come out Sunday morning and fix the issue. He said the way I was treated by Anywhere Rooter was BS and that this was a $500-$600 fix at most. Please don't let them take advantage of you and call someone more reputable. read more

We hired this company to do an emergency job at one of the properties we manage. They quoted me a price and I gave them the green light. When they sent us the invoice, it was a few hundred dollars higher than what we were quoted. I called the company many times, asking why the cost was higher than what we were quoted. BEWARE and RUN AWAY as fast as you can! I cannot express how horrible my experience has been with this company. I I asked local people if they knew of a plumber. I received a name who lived local. I called him he gave me Anywhere Rooters # to call to schedule. I called the office and scheduled him to come out and do a quote. He came and in a debacle of sending me incorrect quotes. I called the office to schedule the repair. They gave me a date and told me I'd have to pay 50%. She sent me a new quote for me to sign which was the correct pricing, which was $1,044 more than the quote originally sent to me. I wasn't upset about it because the quote given to me I knew wasn't correct for the work needing done. I read through it and saw they charge a 25% cancellation fee. I crossed that off, initialed it and emailed it back. They then called me to to collect the 50% payment and schedule it which I thought we already had it scheduled but no. I took the new date. On that date after the window of time I received a call that the prior job was complicated and he's running late, so I said OK. He never showed. I called and they rescheduled it. It happened 2 more times. That included rescheduling for the weekend. I called again, got it back on the calendar he never showed. 5 appointments and each one a NO SHOW. They called after 8:00 pm on h last appointment day and I didn't answer the phone. The next day, the technician called me the next morning wanting to get it scheduled stating "he hadn't been in contact with the office and wasn't sure what was going on". I was done and hired another plumber! Now I've been trying to get my 50% back and they have refused. I ask for a supervisor and they aren't in and will call me back. NO calls yet. I've been trying now for two months. They keep telling me he technician showed up. Besides the quote appointment, he never showed up. Today they told me he showed up the day after the last appointment and nobody was there. I asked why would he just show up on a day he didn't have an appointment besides the fact nobody would be there to let him in. Then she told me again about the 25% cancelation fee but even though she's a manage she didn't have the authority to refund the money. I told her they are the non-performing party, I'm not paying the cancelation fee. She wanted to schedule the tech to come and do the work, which I told her that was over 2 months ago and the work has long since been completed. Sadly from the referral of this tech, he may be competent but the company is clearly not and why he stays???? read more

We called for a plumber to come out for an emergency service. Our shower would not stop running and we had turned off the water to our house while we waited for them to come. When the plumber showed up he said the repair would cost several thousand dollars and take 2 days to complete; one day to cut access into the wall and cap the pipes, and one day to get the parts and repair the shower (even though we had already bought all the parts they said we would need just incase). We felt we didn't have much of a choice since it was a weekend evening and we chose to trust him and have him just make it so we could turn our water on by cutting the access and capping the pipes. We wanted to get some quotes from other plumbers for the rest of the repair, as the amount they quoted us seemed very high. We contacted several other plumbers who seemed confused by what had happened. We had a master plumber come out to our house to look at it and he was astounded and enraged by what Anywhere Rooter had done. The repair they SHOULD have done was a simple routine repair that took 5 minutes and did not require them to cut an access panel or cap the pipes. When we contacted Anywhere Rooter about it, they were dismissive and refused to at least provide a plumbing license number of the person that came to our house (which is against the law to refuse) so we don't even know if he was licensed. In hindsight we should have gotten that number up front; lesson learned. I told them I know mistakes can happen and they could make it right by at least refunding the money I paid to have them do work that damaged my home and cost me over $1000 to repair and they refused to even do that. Really, I feel like they should have refunded and repaired the damage they did unnecessarily to my home but instead they yelled at me over the phone, were extremely unprofessional, and denied that they had done anything wrong. They wouldn't even let me talk to the person that did the work. If you want a licensed professional who holds their employees accountable and works with integrity then do NOT hire Anywhere Rooter. read more

Why didn't I look at Yelp before I hired Anywhere Rooter! Here's my saga. * I hired Anywhere Rooter to unclog my garbage disposal. 2 (plumbers?) arrived at 8pm. They couldn't get the garbage disposal to go down. So they used a hydro jet snake and of course it didn't work. They left after I signed to a document stating if the hydro jet worked I would pay them $900. It didn't work so I had no obligation (or so I thought). * At 10pm a young lady showed up and said she ran a camera down the drain and I need to replace10 feet of the drain. They showed me the drain coming down from the garbage disposal. It had cracks that looked like it had to be replaced. Now I think they had this rusted out pipe in their truck. They took a picture of the pipe. I couldn't verify it because I'm in a wheelchair and can't go down the stairs to my basement. So I signed for $5200 of work to replace 10 feet of underground pipe. The young lady said that any charges incurred previously in the evening would be waived. * They came out the next day and spent 2 hours and I was told the next step was to have the city sign off on the work. They couldn't tell me when that would be. *The girl came back the next day and said she ran a camera another18 feet and the whole section would have to be replaced. An additional $9200. In a moment of weakness I signed another contract. The finance company is GreenSky. After speaking to my wife who was out of the country, she told me I was crazy to agree to have this work done. 2 hours after I signed with GreenSky I called them to cancel. They were gracious and canceled the agreement. * I called the girl 3 times to let her know about not going ahead with the work. I called her again the next morning and left another message. In a few minutes she called me and started screaming at me, She told me I owed Anywhere Rooter a 25% cancellation fee. I explained I had no contract to have the work done. She continued to scream at me. I hung up on this sorry excuse for a salesperson. A few minutes after that the owner of the company called me. He was enraged. He was screaming that I owed the 25%. I worked this loser to the point where dismissed any claim that I owed him money. * I spoke to my plumber and he referred me to a drain camera company. They came out and after looking at the 18 feet of pipe told me that water was running through the pipe and there was no damage in the pipe. * Mind you with all of this trauma I was Anywhere Rooter's customer. Amazing. * My last credit card statement showed there was a charge for the hydro jet. I've never come face to face with scam artists like these people in my life. Disingenuous business practices and terrible customer service model built to take advantage of customers. Called Anywhere Rooter due to a clog in the main sewer drain line that was causing sewage from the toilet to back up into the shower in the master bath. The problem was confined to the upstairs plumbing, not affecting main floor at all. Two relatively inexperienced plumbers (less than 7 years experience) were sent out to help. I was charged $125 for the trip fee plus $375 to remove the toilet and run a 100ft drain auger down the line. This $500 payment did not come with any guarantees of clearing the blockage, only that they would try - first red flag. The plumber ran the auger/snake ONE time and gave up - second red flag. He told me he had never seen a blockage that bad, and that he would recommend that we hydrojet the line for an additional $1350. His reasoning was that the 100ft line could not reach the clog and they did not make drain augers with further reach (not true). Any additional runs with the drain auger would cost me more money (and at a higher rate, because it would delay other jobs)- third red flag. I opted instead to have them send someone back with a scope (included in the cost) to show me just how bad it was. The next day a woman came by and allowed me to watch as she scoped the line. We found a soft clog consisting of lots of toilet paper within 20 ft of the toilet. She told me that a drain auger could not possibly clear the line even if someone ran it for 5 hours, and that it could damage my piping. Weird to me that a tool designed to clear toilet clogs is apparently not suited for the job of clearing toilet paper... She again recommended the hydrojet, this time for $200 less ($1150). I decided to call another plumber who I found with 17 years of experience, who was able to clear the plug within 15 minutes. The blockage was within 20 ft of the toilet. The policy with the new plumber was to run the auger as many times as necessary for one flat fee ($277) until the obstruction was successfully cleared - If unsuccessful, he would not charge me a dime. The work also came with a 30 day warranty. It seems to me that Anywhere Rooter either does not hire experienced plumbers, or they are telling the plumbers not to even try clearing things just so they can upsell customers in distress. I should note that I was visibly pregnant and my husband was out of town at the time. The technicians were extremely nice, but I still felt very taken advantage of. Multiple scare tactics and lies were told just to sell a more expensive service. In addition, they have you sign the service agreement without actually explaining what you are signing. The plumbers also got sewage on my rug, which now has to be thrown away, did not wear shoe covers in the house, and damaged the trim in my bathroom with their equipment. Additionally, they used one of my personal towels to wipe any sewage from the floor during their work rather than laying down a tarp as the second plumber did. The towel did nothing, and the grout around the toilet is now stained brown. I have called at least 6 times in the last 2 weeks since my service hoping to speak to someone who can refund me for damages to the rug and trim at a minimum, and provide other refunds based on the terrible experience. I have explained my situation to multiple different people and have been told multiple times to expect a phone call back to see if the situation can be remedied, but have yet to hear from anyone. At this point it is clear that since they already have my money, they do not intend to work things out in a timely manner, so I am writing this review. This was canceled the next day because I realized I was being taken advantage of. I agreed to pay the trip fee which is approximately $140 but they are threatening to take me to collections for a canceled contract fee which is 25% of the estimated job. The only work that was done was to provide an estimate and misdiagnose my toilet blockage as requiring a new toilet. This was incorrect. I called this company at 8 p.m. due to a backed-up toilet and shower at a rental property. He said they would be there in one hour. This was the only bathroom in this unit. I was told it would be $254 because it was late, and it would include the rotor and camera. They finally showed up at 10. He called and said it would require him to remove the toilet extra 75 dollars. I approved both the 254 and 75. He then called again and said he would need to do some extra work something about the outdoor pipe, and it would be $1,800.00. Not sure how he came up with that, we had fixed an underground pipe in January. We told him no do not do it. He continued to insist, and my husband told him absolutely not. The following day the tenant called and told us the toilet was not put back on correctly and there was still a backup. I had to call another company to fix the situation. Meanwhile, the charge on my card is $655.14. The additional 326.14 was never authorized and have no clue where that came from. I have called this company 4 times. I have been told someone would call me regarding a credit. I have not received a call back. I wish I would have read all these reviews before calling them. I wanted a simple one-hole kitchen faucet replaced; I hadn't bought the faucet yet. This is a one bedroom mobile home, so no high end fixtures here. Just to come and evaluate and give a quote was $125. I had already done some research. A faucet is around $75 - $100 at Home Depot and average cost to do replacement $162 to $364. When the guy showed me their quote I was shocked! Over $1400!!!! Just like that! No details of what was needed or breakdown of the expenses. I need to amend my first review which was written with the tech standing over me. I called Anywhere Rooter and they came out the same day. My toilet was wobbly and leaking. I was told it could be fixed the next day. The quote was high but I said ok. I had to pay 70% up front. Tw/o techs came and were very friendly and told me the work was done. I didn't check but within an hour of them leaving, I called them back and said the toilet was still wobbly! They sent 2 more techs, one of the original ones and a different one. They told me the subfloor was rotted and needed to be replaced. They told me they would do it, but for $1900 more! I told them it should be included in the first quote because they never told me about the rotted floor in their first visit. I told them no and had to hire someone else to do the job they should have originally! I feel deceived and taken advantage of! This was perhaps the worst experience I have had with a plumber. It's been over 3 months and our toilet is still not working! This started out as an emergency fix for a toilet that wouldn't flush. They wouldn't send anyone as an emergency because we had another toilet and it was late on a Friday. So, what was left by a previous worker, was left to fester for 3 days. The first person couldn't get the toilet to work, so had to come back with equipment to clean out the "crap". His name was Arthur, and honestly, he was the only reputable person that we dealt with. They give you a time then don't show up for hours later...they must overbooked their employees, so I do not blame the plumber. This was to fix a wall mounted Toto toliet. We were told that the toilet needed to be removed from the wall. After the couple of visits, the problem was finally discovered to be a pump. It took about 2 months for them to order the pump and come back and install. We were lied to so many times that it would be a week, then 2, then 3...on and on till it was over 2 months! Arthut was no longer our plumber. The new plumber assigned, installed and they said they were done, "I" had to point out that the toilet was still "running". Then they said we needed a new flapper and flush mechanism. Again, we were told a week till it would come in. My husband called a week later and was told the part was ordered. Then a week and a half after that, I called and was told that they had no record of this and that the plumber, George, was suppose to put together a proposal for us to approve. Mind you, they already charged us over $5000 for the pump plus the initial fees and labor! We were told that Kelsey or George would be calling us. Never got a call. If 0 stars was an option that's what this company deserves. I called for a simple pull up reset at 10 in the morning requesting to schedule a same day service. I was assured I would have a technician at my home to diagnose my issue between 12-4. I cleared my schedule moved around arrangements and headed home to be ready for the technician. I patiently waited for 3 and a half hours before receiving a call at 3:30 stating the technician was running a little late but he would be here within the hour. An hour and a half later with no correspondence, I called back to be told he had "an emergency" that took priority over my request. They asked if we could reschedule for the next day. I had already changed my plans and stopped looking for help because I was assured I would be assisted that day. I told them this was unacceptable and I would be calling another company if they couldn't get someone out that evening at the latest. Again they agreed and said they would call when he was on his way. At 7pm they called again and asked to reschedule for tomorrow. Their dodgy dishonest unprofessional practice cost me an entire day of time and money and delayed my repairs unnecessarily. Don't give them your business, they'll tell you what you want to hear to make sure you don't call another company and leave you twiddling your thumbs when a more reputable practice could be fixing the issue and keeping their word. read more

I had a call out for a hot water heater not working Joseph got here didn't have a clue what to do. By the time he decided it needs a burner replaced and it will take 3 days and 1,200.00 to do it or 2,500.00 to replace the whole hot water heater how do you expect a family of 4 to justify not only the ridiculous price but to go that long without hot water he didn't even try to light it let alone just wanted to just not fix at all totally bad service in all aspects. read more

Absolutely disgusted by this company. The manager was incredibly rude and disrespectful. This company is fraudulent and are scammers. We believe they are operating under another company name- Johnson & Sons, which no longer shows up on Google. We scheduled through them and then someone from Anywhere Rooter showed up. I was price gouged over $1000 extra for a service that should have been $600-$800. I asked for a copy of my camera inspection, and they said I wasn't obligated to receive it bc I didn't pay for it. When I finally received my invoice, the camera inspection was labeled on the invoice. I was told I needed to completely replace all pipes under my house for $14000. I was pressured into making a decision on the spot at 8 pm and Joseph began negotiations to try to get me to sign immediately. I wish I would have read the Yelp reviews while they were still at my house but I didn't even know what company they worked for! When I called to dispute the charge and ask for a partial refund and for my invoice, I was completely disrespected by the manager. She threatened me saying she was recording the call and wouldn't be "bullied" by her customer when I simply asked for price relief, my invoice, a write up of the work and the video. Almost all reviews between yelp, Facebook and the Better Business Bureau are the same story. They give u a low price, they come in and that low cost method ($125) "doesn't work", then they upsell to jetting for $2k, which for me it was now 6:15pm after waiting all day for them to come (an hour and a half late from the end of the 4 hour window). So, after not being able to flush my toilets since morning, I didn't see any other option since it was too late to call anyone else. I was able to negotiate down to $1600. They jetted, which cleared the blockage and then one of the owners came with his camera to scope the line. He explained the roots were growing in the pipe and he would need to repair it for $6 additional but if I signed that moment, he would charge me $5k. I explained I could not commit right away. He sat with me for an hour or two pushing me, offering financing, telling me it will clog again with a few weeks and I need to do this work immediately. I finally said, I'll need 24 hours and I'd like to get another opinion. I called Spartan Plumbing who had excellent reviews. The technician arrived promptly and scoped the line with a camera. He was shocked to see the roots because he said the jetting should have removed them. He said he would charge $1100 for the jetting which would remove the roots and he would guarantee the work for one year. He also said the pipes were not in too bad of shape and likely did not need any repairs for quite some time. I called back Anywhere Rooter and explained what I had heard from Spartan. I asked if he could please redo the jetting to remove the roots. He was not agreeable. I asked him if Spartan jetted and removed the roots, if he would reimburse me because I should not need to pay for the same service twice. NOPE! He would not do anything to assist. I only wish I read the reviews first, because, CLEARLY, this company is a RACKET AND A SCAM. If you want an honest and sincere plumber that stands behind their work, I highly recommend Spartan Plumbing! read more

Beware of Anywhere Plumbing! I called them for a pipe backup, and their technician tried to scam me by saying he hit something and the pipes might be broken. He pushed a $1600 hydro jet service. Instead, I rented a drain cleaner and fixed the issue myself. When I asked for a refund, they refused, claiming they had partially opened the pipe. This company is unprofessional and only out to charge you for basic services. Don't fall for their tricks. read more
