This review is a couple of years late. I used them at the end of July 2011 and they were great. They arrived on time and we explained to them that we could not go over the minimum hours and they didn't. The guys were very professional and they moved everything without errors. Alex and Billy are AWESOME! They showed up on time, saw quickly what needed to be done, and went right to work. They had our apartment nearly empty in under an hour. They moved so quickly and carefully with all of our belongings -- and in the LA heat! They helped us pack, then disassembled furniture, loaded the truck, unloaded, and reassembled everything. They were easy to communicate with, accommodating, responsive, and had awesome attitudes. They saved us so much time and energy. I can't recommend them enough. 100% would work with them again. Armondo is fantastic. My husband and I were moving from Los Feliz to Glendale last December and a friend referred us here. We got a great quote from Armondo (no one could match it). As we were packing we realized we had waaaaayy more crap than your average one bedroom. And a lot of it weighed a TON. It was seriously like moving a house. Armondo came by, saw everything and very kindly and humbly said, "I know I gave you a quote. I stand by my word, but just so you know this is almost double the work for that price. I'm letting you know just in case you want to offer a little extra when we're done. It would be greatly appreciated." I thought that was a very classy way to handle it because I'm sure as soon as he arrived he was like #@$%! We were already planning on offering more. It was seriously ridiculous what they moved for that price (even with the extra $$). Everything got through the move in perfect condition. I highly recommend this place. I wanted to review it on yelp a long time ago but I thought the name was "Always On Time Moving" and couldn't find the listing here. Today is my 3rd time using them to move. Like always, they are on time. Sometimes early. They were 30 mins early today. I was trying to discourage them and take their time since I wasn't done packing. Armando was part of the crew again. He has always taken good care of my stuff.I didn't sleep the night before because I was feverishly packing. I'm a bit delirious and extremely tired while writing this review. But I have to say I really love this moving company. And no I don't work for them and none of my friends or family work or own a stake in this company. I am writing this review because I really admire their quickness and professionalism. Of course keep in mind they do charge extra for supplies but that's most places and it's not that much. Great prices! Very professional. I think it's a family ran business. They arrived on time. Knew how to get to my address which is great! Cant stand having to give someone directions on phone! Im too busy, you figure it out. They saran wrapped my belongings then wrapped them in protective blankets. Took my bed apart! My huge heavy mahogany bed and then put it back together in new location. For the work that they did and for what they charged I almost feel like I underpayed them. I just bought a huge desk for new home and am going to call them for pickup drop off. Highly recommended. I am hesitant about hiring movers. The last movers I hired damaged my furniture. Always On Call Moving did an amazing job! Rather than paying an hourly fee I spoke to Armando about negotiating a flat rate. The move ended up taking a bit longer than expected due to several pieces of furniture that had to be taken apart and reassembled and the other being that I live on a hill so it took longer to bring the items down the steep steps. His moving crew Robert and Cristian are amazing. They did all the packing and worked overtime without complaints. I was not charged extra. My furniture was moved in immaculate condition without dents and scratches. I will definitely use them again for my next move. read more

Have not moved in 26 years so I had a lot of crap.. Alex, Billy, and Martin are a well oiled machine and they took care of everything for me. They moved all my big heavy items, taped up my boxes, wrapped all the furniture before putting up in their truck. Didn't take them long to load up and at the new place sorry guys but had 2 flights of stairs.. They took care of all that as well.. I helped a tiny bit but had already moved a lot of boxes myself in the evenings and figured since I was paying them let them do it.. Gave them cold drink, and breakfast and these 3 guys worked their butts off getting this done in a timely manner.. Will for sure remember them if and when i am crazy enough to want to move again.. Great guys and the office staff was on it with emails and phone calls.. One thing wish the guys would have called to let me know they were on the way in the morning.. Office staff was nice enuf and the movers worked fast but they destroyed my desk, waterbed headboard and wouldn't even give me information to file a claim even after flor said she emailed it to me. The owner refused to come view the damage in normal business hours because of traffic? Had to file a small claims suit for the damages. If time is important then your good to go with this company, if you value your furniture then definately don't choose this one. read more

I wouldn't recommend this company to my enemies. There customer service is horrible and owner is a tool. I made and appointment and scheduled a time a week in advance. On the day of the move I was told they would arrive between 10 and 11. I ended up calling them at 11:15 and no answer. I called until someone answered and they then tell me I will have to call you back. I m waiting, they still haven't called me back 11:35 I call them again to have them tell me they cant arrive until 2pm. I was livid, this company is a joke!!!! read more

Great experience. I called them with very little notice for my move, only about a week or a week and a half, and they were very accommodating. The move only took 2 hours (it was only 1 room) and the movers were efficient and pleasant. No complaints. Only good things to say about Always On Call Moving. I scheduled a move with Always on Call 2 days before the actual move and they were even willing to accommodate me the very next day. I was moving some things out of a house into an apartment that had about 30 stairs to reach from the bottom level. Jessie, Francisco and Minor were very efficient and go to work straight away. They were friendly to my son who really wanted to help the movers. My move was done in about 4 hours. I will highly recommend them and will use them in the future for my moving needs. read more

I just had THE BEST experience. I was in a bind from a moving company's cancellation and needed movers on a moment's notice. I made a call at 8am and had the option to bring movers in as early as 11am. I opted for 1. Armando and Juan gave me amazing service. I cannot speak for any other employees, but they were courteous, careful with my belongings, and Armando was very friendly. I was referred here by a friend when I said I wanted to rent a uhual and do the entire move just me and my husband because we don't trust movers. I talked to Armondo and he gave us a really good quote but I was still nervous. He and a worker got our entire move done in a few hours without a ding or scratch to anything. I was really impressed how careful and respectful of my things they were (I have some large, delicate and irreplaceable family heirlooms). I just moved on the 26th from LA to OC and hired Always on Call Moving and they did an OUTSTANDING job. They told me they would arrive between 9-9:30am, but they actually arrived at 8:30am which was even better! They explained each and every cost before I signed anything throughout the entire move, which was very professional. They worked very quickly and efficiently. They shrink wrapped my big dresser and big sofa very nicely and quickly as well. NO damages. The men were very honest. This is an update to a previous review from 11/4/14. I was told by Karen who is supposedly in charge that I would be refunded $100.00 due to the drunken mover I was sent. Guess what NO CHECK. If you want movers who go to work drunk, charge what they want, have trucks with graffiti on them, and just plain unprofessional then this is your place. they told me over the phone it would be 70$ an hour and i wouldn't have to worry about any other fees. liars...they charged me 40$ to wrap each of my television set, no charge for furniture...make sure you ask them how much it is to move a televsion set.....they charge you for supplies used to wrap all your stuff you are moving, you have no way of verifying how much wrapping supplies they used. they marked up the wrapping material 200%.....it took two guys the whole day to move a 2 bedroom house.....one guy did all the wrapping and the other guy did the moving, waste of time, it should have taken the guys fours max, to move out and move in.....they also charge you for their lunch break..... i would recommend to get a moving company that will give you a flat rate over the phone including supplies to wrap your belongings. this company is a sham!!! read more

Extremely bad experience due to a miscommunication on their part that they refused to take responsibility for. Two weeks out I booked a 24ft truck and 2 movers for our move. I moved up the date a week out and reiterated that I still needed that their biggest available truck (24ft). However, the morning of our move, 2 movers showed up with an 18ft truck. The movers were very polite and professional, and after walking our house and garage, they confirmed that we would've been able to make it in one trip with a 24ft truck, but because they brought an 18ft truck we would need two trips. I immediately called the office to try and get a 24ft truck and was told that none were available unless we wanted to wait to move for 2 days, which were unable to do. I asked if the company if they would give us a discount as now we had to do two trips instead of one, thereby doubling the cost of our move. The girl in the office was trying to help but told me she could not approve that and was instructing the movers not to touch anything until she got a hold of her boss. An hour and a half later, Armando the boss finally called me, and instead of trying to help us rectify the situation told us that we would have to also pay for 90mins the movers stood around (even though it was per his office's instructions). At this point we felt backed into a corner as we were told we'd have to pay the full cost of what was now an 8hr move instead of what would have been a 4hr move if they had brought the truck we requested PLUS the cost of 90 minutes of them standing around. We refused to give in to what felt like an extortion tactic and chose to cancel, forcing us to find a same-day moving company. read more

I WOULD NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGAIN. 1) They were the slowest movers in the world 2) Wasted lots of time wrapping couches and tables (which wasn't a big deal to me since i was moving 3 blocks down) I would have signed a release saying i didn't want anything extra wrapped. Instead they spent hours and covering everything. 3) Although they insisted on packing everything correctly, they did manage to ding, scratch and chip my dining room chairs AND broke my hamper. 4) I paid for 2 moving men. Neither were built for the job. The first man Tim was older and lazy. He had this poor, thin, young guy doing most of the work on his own. Long story short, if you get Tim send him away. He spent more time folding blankets and adjusting the dolly then he did moving things. My poor Mom, Dad, kid brother and myself did more work. In the last 30 mins I saw Tim walk one small chair up from the truck. It was a joke. The owner should be ashamed to have such a bad employee. read more

I needed to have an armoire picked up from a furniture store in Van Nuys and moved to my house in Burbank. I called Armando the same day after reading the Yelp reviews and he was able to pick up the same afternoon within the time frame. The armoire was quite heavy and large and after him and his guy got it up successfully to my living room, they did not think it would make it up my narrow staircase to the bedroom. We paid them their reasonable rate and since I had to leave asked if they could come back and try again another day. I called a few days later and Armando agreed to come over with additional guys to attempt to move it upstairs. We worked out a compromise on the additional cost and he arrived a few hours later with more guys. He clearly reviewed the possible scenarios that could arise while taking on the challenge then up it went ! Congrats to Armando and his team for being friendly, professional and reasonable.
