Foxy Lady roll
Lina P.

Service was a bit stilted, but the ambiance and the food met our needs. Went out with my parents and kinda stumbled upon this place when the alternative was going to make us wait. Place was quiet at 5 PM or so, which just a couple of customers. My parents ordered a seared duck breast and grilled salmon entrees. I got a Foxy Lady roll. It was barely enough food to satisfy all three of us, but it was all quite tasty. If you find yourself in this part of town, I'd recommend stopping by.

Wow, what a discovery! We decided to try this place based on the Yelp reviews and the fact that it was within walking distance of where we were staying. What a gem of a place! The food is very fresh and excellently prepared. I had the salmon with sweet potato sticks. It came with a salad with a very delicious dressing on it. Hubby had sushi which he was very impressed with. The service was excellent, the place is very clean and pleasant to be in. We will definitely come back if we are in the area

Omakase set
Victoria G.

Food 10/10 Crazy that their omakase set for takeout is only 60 dollars and the fish is flown in from Totsuya fish market. Incredibly generous servings and the quality of the fish is superb. I was in actual shock when I took the first bite. The rice is alright, but the star of the show is always the fish so it doesn't really matter. So impressed by their supreme sushi and sashimi set. Better than some omakase spots in manhattan. So delicious and so close to home too I can't wait to return.

Every thing I order from the sushi counter here is completely incredible. I love sitting here and allowing the sushi chefs to take me on a journey.

Blue fin

Best sushi in Riverdale! The service is what you would expect, super fast and to the point. It's very quiet but the tables are always taken. It's perfect for lunch. I ordered the truffle blue fin and the pink lady roll. The pink lady roll is out of this worlddddd. So fresh and all the right flavors. The only negative on the blue fin is that it was cooked and I guess I was expecting raw fish but it was delicious. If you are in the area this is the only place to stop for sushi.

Woah! Excellent sushi; freshest sushi I've had in a minute. Service was great; seated right away, and our order did not take long. Very clean, stylish decor.

Great sushi, great service, what's not to love? The sushi is fresh, the drinks are delicious, and the staff makes you feel welcome. I enjoyed special rolls as well as the classics. The plum wine was a nice touch to compliment my meal. I loved the Naruto here but everything has been delightful. It's a small quiet date place so keep that in mind.sushi

The roll pictured is the Indiana roll with salmon skin inside and eel/avocado on top - very tasty. There is a homey, unassuming, neighborhood feel to the restaurant and it's not a bad place if you just want to go for lunch yourself! Friendly, attentive staff, too.

After visiting regularly, I've come to know the wonderful people who run it--with professionalism, warmth, and consistency. A quick disclaimer: I'm recommending Kiraku based on a personal preference for sushi that honors traditional preparation--clean, balanced, and free from excessive sauces or unnecessary embellishments. I've been to highly rated sushi spots where every piece is smothered in sugary, multi-ingredient sauces, masking the flavor of the fish and turning the experience into something overly rich and far from authentic. Kiraku stands apart. Their sushi is beautifully restrained--great-quality fish, well-prepared rice, and flavors that are distinct and harmonious. For those who enjoy bolder options, there are a few heavier sauce-based rolls on the menu. But for me, the real strength of Kiraku lies in its refined, minimalist approach. If you appreciate true sushi craftsmanship, this place is a hidden neighborhood gem with extremely good pricing for the quality you're getting.

The drinks were good, the food was good, and the vibe was exactly what I've come to expect from them. But let me tell you about what happened after. When I got home, I didn't realize that I had left my sunglasses on the table. The next morning, when I couldn't find them, I figured that must be where I left them. I reached out to the restaurant, but honestly, in my heart I thought there was no way I'd ever see them again. Well... I was completely wrong. I received a response, and America (I hope I spelled her name correctly!) found them and held them for me until I could pick them up. Yes, the sunglasses were brand name, but to me it's the honesty and loyalty that really speaks volumes. That kind of integrity says a lot about a place and the people who work there. I'm incredibly thankful--and it's just another reason I'll keep coming back.

We ordered three raw rolls and ended up with +4 cooked rolls by accident (kitchen error for the win). The staff were so sweet and let us keep the extra rolls for free so I couldn't complain even if I wanted to (and I did b/c there was an error on the bill but I didn't wanna seem ungrateful lol) A total of 7 rolls and good vibes were worth it. I wish I remembered the servers name, she was sweet.

Started off with a Tsingtao (Chinese Beer) smooth and refreshing, a solid choice with hibachi. There was a bit of a wait for the chef to come out, but once he did, it was totally worth it. He struck the perfect balance--entertaining without overdoing it. We ordered the steak, scallops, lobster, and shrimp, and everything came out cooked perfectly. Portions were generous enough that we even had leftovers to take home for the next day, which is always a plus. I really liked the light-up hibachi tables, a nice modern touch. The restaurant wasn't crowded, which made the experience even more enjoyable, and the service throughout was good. Overall, the place looks great, the food was on point, and the vibe was just right. We'll definitely be back.

They've kept up by offering decent Asian inspired apps and entrees. At the tail end of Covid they pivoted to include Seafood Boils as an option. Not a fan of boils so unsure how that option is going. Another option, Hibachi, which we also are not big fans of, unless forced upon us by friends or family. Is prepared on these red glowing tables and appears to appeal to the masses, so that's a good thing. During our visits, generally on the early side of dinner hours, service has always been attentive and our meals, most often than not are prepared as expected. There has been the occasional slight hiccup while dining in or when ordering for delivery, but nothing major. The aesthetics of this place continues to appeal with their colorful facade. And their interior is just as inviting with ambient lighting of red hues throughout the restaurant, enhancing the Asian inspired statues and textured wall designs. It's nice that Ikko has kept up with this large piece of real estate, providing decent meals and continuing to keeping themselves relevant within the neighborhood.
