They were assigned by Fidelity National Home Warranty and were able to make and keep an appointment even after we changed it on the fly twice. I spoke with Oleg and a few others during the process. Vlad was the technitian who came out and worked very hard to get our freezer working again. he took his time and did a thorough job. In the end we were unable to fix one of the 3 issues, but we did discover that the problem was in the water supply to the freezer and not the freezer itself. I had a very good experience with AP. They could be difficult to understand over the phone at times, but with a little patience, we made everything work. read more

Whirlpool sent this company for a warranty repair on our 8 month old refrigerator for an intermittent freezing in the refrigerator problem. Technician barely looks at it, says the doors can't be leveled, door gasket needs replacing, will come back with parts. Crickets. Never came back, never answered my calls. Problem comes back 6 months later, whirlpool sets up an appointment, no show. I call, he says they don't do Whirlpool any more, which is news to Whirlpool. I've never dealt with a company as frustrating as this one! I spent 45 minutes on hold just to schedule each visit, and after two separate appointments, they still didn't fix a single thing. Each time they showed up, they did not fix the issue. I'm not sure what's worse--the endless hold times or the fact that the technicians didn't so a thing to solve it. I was assigned AP appliance for my dishwasher repair from my home warranty company. They replaced my dishwasher Control panel and touch pad. They did a great job and Jean who was the customer service representative made sure I was aware of the process and kept me informed throughout the repair. Initially the dishwasher touch pad was the only part replaced. I advised the technician that I wanted the cracked control panel replaced as that was what caused the touch pad underneath it to malfunction. AP appliance boss Oleg told me he would reach out to AHS to see if they would cover the part and cost to install it. I was very happy they did that for me. Overall I have a working dishwasher and am happy with the service provided. That's saying something because AHS has been a nightmare with some of the contractors they have sent me in the past. read more

I only write reviews when the business is worthy of my appreciation. This time is an exception. AP Appliance has very poor communication and customer service. They do not have people who speak English to communicate with customers properly and let them know what's happening. I found them terse and unfriendly. They communicated poorly, leaving me without a working microwave for a month. Ultimately, I had to find someone else to fix my microwave. I do NOT recommend them. read more

My 10 year old Jennair range/oven stopped working. I requested service from the Jennair website. It directed me to schedule an appointment for about a week later. (We would live without the oven until then). The next day (Monday) Alex from AP Appliance Repair in San Rafael called me to get some details, and he told me that Oleg (in Petaluma) would be able to come the next afternoon. That worked for me. Oleg came and quickly diagnosed the problem and fixed it. It was an over igniter failure, a very common failure for an oven of my age. He had the generic version of the part. VERY BAD EXPERIENCE! BEWARE! I asked Oleg about repairing 2 washing machines, my own and the one in my studo apartment. Oleg sent a young technician who diagnosed the problem (a sensor on my washing machine) and informed me THE PART WOULD COST $450. He repaired the washing machine in the studo apt, a problematic drain hose which did not need replacement. I paid $150 for the visit. I did my own research on my washing machine, discovered the sensor costs about $45-50 and is easy to install. I called Oleg, told him the part was not $450 and finally, two weeks after my initial call, he replaced the sensor for an additional charge for the part--$55. Days after the "repair" to the studio apartment washer, it failed, once again, to drain. I called and was told I would need to pay for a separate assessment, the work evidently not guaranteed as promised on the website. Oleg was rude and insisted he had done nothing that required an apology or further work. read more

AP Appliance Repair to the rescue - AGAIN! Have you ever experienced the click, click, click of a gas burner that never stops? If yes, then you know how annoying it is! We went through our home warranty service, Fidelity, and they sent someone to look at the problem that was not AP Appliance (even though I told them that's the company I wanted to work with) and the other company had no idea what to do. So I paid out of pocket to have AP come out and diagnose the issue and - of course - they knew exactly what to do to repair our burner. They called Fidelity and we were able to use them to fix the issue, which involved changing out the two front burner ignitions. No more clicking and sanity restored! read more

First visit, was told their first appointment was in 8 day. Technician came- said he fixed our leaking refrigerator. 2 hours later, it was leaking. Scheduled another visit- they said couldn't come for another 8 days. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I caution future customers to stay away from this company if they are looking for prompt repairs for essential household appliances. AP appliance was sent out by Fidelity National Home Warranty to service my fridge which was not setting the temperature appropriately and freezing items in the refrigerator even though the temperature was set 38-40F. They came out to see the refrigerator 12/14/21, and when I called them on 12/19/21 they said they were in the process of submitting a report for the fridge to either be replaced or to have parts ordered for the fridge to be fixed. This was similar to what was discussed with my tenants who are currently occupying the property. I never heard from them again after this, despite calling several times and leaving voicemails the week following. I expect they must have taken a holiday vacation, but this was not indicated on any of their voicemail boxes. Today is 1/10/22, a full month since AP appliance was sent out to look at my fridge. I called FNHW to check on the status of the repair, and to see if a report had been submitted by AP appliance. I was told by the employee on the phone that the report from AP appliance stated that the fridge was functioning as expected... a complete 180 from what my tenants and I had been told a month prior. I don't know what happened between the initial appointment and the submission of their report and why there is such a disconnect between what we were told and what was reported to FNHW, but I think that I should have been notified of these 'findings' and the changes on the report from what we had been told prior. It blows my mind that any company would operate like this and treat their customers this way and still expect to be in business. I understand the holiday lull and taking a holiday vacation, but as a customer, I expect to have my calls and voicemails answered after the holidays particularly when it is for an essential household appliance. I will be reporting this company to the BBB. read more

After 6 weeks and way too many visits, my dishwasher still does not work. It won't drain and the control panel is still broken. 6 weeks! First, the wrong parts were ordered. Then after a long wait, the repair was unsuccessful. So another appt was scheduled with the expert who did not come and, again, the repair person could not fix it. Then finally that expert person comes, still cannot fix it, and the repair person goes to get the original "wrong" part only to declare it fixed and the minute the load was done, it still did not work. This is crazy! I found out from fidelity home warranty that they have not told them how many times they have been out so that is why I have to now have a second provider come start the process again. This is horrible and I cannot believe they would lie about this. 1 star. read more

After calling numerous appliance repair companies to find out that they could not come out for a week or more to look at my Samsung refrigerator to determine why the refrigerator side was freezing, I found AP Appliance repair on yelp and sent them a message. Within minutes I received a reply and a phone call. They were able to come out the same day. Yay! The two technicians found the problem, ordered the part and gave me the total cost for the part and repair that same day. Once the part came in the same 2 technicians came back, installed the new part within 30 minutes and now my refrigerator is working properly again! Have had a terrible experience w this company and am reposting a review. My experience is through Fidelity Home Warranty so perhaps that is related. they were placed on my claim over 6 months ago for a rattling sound and non functional ice maker -first visit the repairman left the house 1 min after the appt time because "no one responded", he didn't answer his phone after this, the company didn't either -I placed a negative review, they asked me to take it down if they resolved my problem so I did, it's been 6 mo, no fix -the ratting sound sort of dissipated, they couldn't figure out how to take off the bottom portion of my fridge after 2-3 visits so they told me that they didn't need to do anything firthet -they tried a new ice maker, it didn't fix the problem -they have come 4-5 times since then trying to "find out where the water source" of the ice maker is bc that is the problem and still Haven't figured it out -my last attempt to call, they set me up for an appt and they just never showed up. No one even called to follow up after a no-show, after I left another message again telling them there was a no show So now the sound is back and louder then ever and I have no ice maker still after 6 months and at least 5-6 visits. They will prob read this review and try to offer to fix it again but I don't think it's worth my time anymore. I will probably try a company outside of the warrranty which I can't seem to get a hold of someone thru either. Will be my last warranty service (my realtor bought for us which was a very nice gesture). Hope this is helpful. read more
