Nice people but v. busy. Had to wait about 15 min in. the dental chair. Appt. was for final upper denture placement/fitting which took about 15 min. On my way out they wanted a Panorex. Returned & 3 people were assisting (not sure wHy). The test began before I was in place & I had to yell "stop" afraid I would get hit by the machine. I am disabled & was afraid I would fall. Asked me to pay a $100+ bill on the way out but was told on previous visit (by Lilly) there was no additional charge. I have since received a non-itemized bill in the mail & need to clarify. Also, what's with the v. short chairs in the waiting area no arms. It woud be impossible for me and many adults to rise from them so I have to stand & wait when I get there. They have far too many interns, and sometimes they let the interns practice on patients' teeth. One of the interns filed too much off the surface of my two front teeth, leaving them flat and damaged. I complained to the clinic and to my doctor, Anya, but she dismissed my concerns. Here are additional issues I experienced with AP Dental in East Boston: 1. During my Invisalign treatment, they initially gave me a few sets of Invisalign trays. You're supposed to change trays every 1 to 2 weeks. After about 3-4 months, they told me my Invisalign treatment was complete. However, my teeth were still not aligned. I had to push them to continue because I knew my teeth weren't properly aligned. I had braces about 10 years ago, so I am very familiar with the correct position of my teeth. This clearly shows that they don't know what they're doing. 2. During my Invisalign consultation at AP Dental, the front desk staff informed me that the treatment came with a free teeth-whitening package valued at over $300. However, at the end of my treatment, I was given only three small whitening tubes, which cost about $15 each online and are also sold at AP Dental for the same price. This was clearly a case of false advertising. Overall, I would not recommend getting Invisalign at this location. Achieving good, healthy teeth is a serious matter, especially when it involves procedures like filing teeth to align them properly. AP Dental specializes in dental hygiene and clearly lacks experience with Invisalign. It seems like easy money for them, but for patients, the results are what truly matter. If I could go back in time, I would pay a little more to get my Invisalign treatment at an orthodontic office rather than a general dental hygiene office. Practice as a whole: this place is very responsive to calls and emails. I have had some issues receiving their automated texts for appointment reminders, but appreciate getting them when it works. The office is extremely clean and the staff is very professional. I have had 4 out of 6 treatments so far and have had a good experience each time. The rest of my review is about laser hair removal. Laser hair removal: I bought a Groupon for 6 sessions of removal on an extra large section (full legs). I was a little nervous about getting a laser treatment from someone who wasn't a doctor and who I found on Groupon, but i went for it and I'm glad I did. I originally went for a consult in July and the person I met with told me to come back in late Sept or early Oct, because you have to protect your skin from the sun during treatment and that is hard during the summer. I appreciated the honesty and the fact that the woman actually knew what she was doing. I came back in October and the woman I had initially seen had moved on so I saw Jen (I think). She was super professional and even after just 1 session my hair was almost totally gone. I did three sessions with her and each time I noticed less and less hair. Jen has now moved on to a new place, and this last session I saw Emily (I think that was her name). I was worried about seeing a new person but she was so methodical and professional and super quick. She just like zap zap zap and she was totally done. So despite the turnover, AP Dental and Laser seems to be recruiting very quality employees and I would recommend them to anyone. I can't say that all Groupon places are legit, but this one definitely is. Once I finish my 6 sessions, I will totally come back here if I need touch-ups and am also debating using them for Invisalign because of how professional they all are. read more

Chose the wrong CONSULTATION appointment on online booking, system wouldn't let me change the date, and so called the the office & it was closed, so immediately emailed (with 24+h notice), still charged a $50 cancellation fee. I have been here several times now in the past 2 years. So glad I took a chance on Yelp when they were still new to the neighborhood. The office is truly state of the art, the doctor is knowledgeable and cutting edge, all the cleaning technicians have been so amazing, kind and professional in what they do. Buyer beware as there are incompetent people working for this company. I expected to have a laser treatment which I have been receiving there for numerous years. Well today, I was burnt beyond belief and I believe that I don't deserve that kind of treatment as a client. I was screaming in the chair and she finally stopped. When I got home I could not believe the burns I received from this incompetent employee. I called the company and they denied that I was even burned. Their solution is that I should go somewhere else instead of addressing the real issue that their employee harmed me as she didn't know what she was doing. I give this company zero stars. No one deserves to be injured especially when they are paying for a service. I had to give one star in order to post this but they deserve no stars. read more

I can't speak to the actual services because I couldn't get them to honor an appointment with me. I made a Saturday assignment a month in advance. When I showed up 5 minutes early, I found the office locked with nobody in sight. Apparently they decided to close early and not contact me to let me know. If you miss an appointment, they'll charge you $50, but I guess they get to waste your time for free. I rescheduled another appointment for a few weeks later and they cancelled that, saying they're not doing weekends anymore. I have never used a medical services that was this unprofessional regarding appointments. Good luck trying to actually get an appointment to stick here. read more

Your search is finally over. I hate dentists. I've always been scared of them. The judgement, the drills, the noises, the smells. It's all awful. Anya and her assistants are not that. They are people. They understand that sometimes you are just too lazy to get out of bed to brush your teeth in the freezing Boston cold. They don't judge. They are there for you and they take care of your teeth fantastically. They offer different options on what you can do, and they listen to you. My first visit to this spa, wonderful experience from start to finish! I had a chemical peel which gave me great results, my skin feels tighter and wrinkles are much less noticeable. Aesthetic nurse Corrie was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to explain each step of the process. Prices are the best out there my peel cost 99$ and is the best peel out there Blue Radiance. This office uses a lot of high-tech equipment that makes cleanings go faster, but also costs a lot more. I had to pay $30 for a routine cleaning because of the expensive equipment they used. They also told me that I needed a crown, my wisdom teeth removed, and then invisalign, but when I switched dentists the new providers explained that all of those were either preventative or cosmetic procedures and not necessary. This office seems to recommend invisalign to most patients...they probably have a financial connection to invisalign companies. I would not recommend this office if you do not want anything beyond what is necessary. read more
