You can't beat the views here! The road from Roosevelt Damn is fully paved now. Absolutely stunning…read morelake! We brought our fishing boat & there was plenty of room for our boat, trailer & truck in all parking lots. We paid for a dock slip too which was handy. We stayed in the hotel, one of the full kitchen/double queen rooms that faced the lake. The room was clean, beds were very comfy, they brought extra pillows when we asked & plenty of hot water. We ate at the restaurant 3 times and the food was great & servers were very nice! The little store has most things you might forget at home. The 4 stars is for a few things: there are no coffee mugs in the kitchen, no pans for the oven, they don't answer the phone, they only sometimes answer the texts, there is almost no cutlery in the kitchen, the towels are very rough, no paper products except toilet paper and when you book you don't know any of these things because amenities aren't included in the room description or website. And you can't ask ahead because they don't answer the phone. Some others items to note for planning purposes: the coffee maker is a 4 cup maker, the dock doesn't have power and there is no toaster. Bring all items with you as if you're camping. I've included some photos of what IS in the kitchen. That being said, we had a great time and I'll definitely be back!

They have really upgraded this place from what it used to be. Hotel rooms upgraded and modernized. You can sign into your streaming services to their new smart tvs. Wifi isnt bad, didnt have it before so again a huuuuuge plus! The bathrooms are also modernized and so much better than before. The beaches are a lot cleaner than before as well. The staff are very professional and helpful as well. Apache Lake Today should get a restart on all reviews from here on out because the bad ones have all been worked out and i believe they would change their minds today

Fun rustic getaway!…read more Saguaro Lake Guest Ranch offers a beautiful, nature-centric setting within easy reach of Phoenix. From the horseback riding to the kayaking and hiking, there are activities to fill numerous days. The launch site for those are all on the property, and there's a shuttle return for the kayaking, which keeps it simple and enjoyable. We also appreciated the close proximity of local recreation areas, for taking in views of the Salt River horses, and to Saguaro Lake (the Desert Belle wine cruise is great). The lodge itself is more of a four-star moment. It's understandable that the cabins are old (built for the construction of the Stewart Dam), but some general maintenance and a little TLC both inside and out would be helpful. For instance, a shower knob fell off in my hand, the curtain rods were crooked, a broken hook was on the door, the outdoor benches and chairs were dirty, and there were weeds and trash around the cabin perimeter. On the flip side, the staff is friendly, the main lodge offers homespun charm, the Bulldog rock formations are gorgeous, and the grounds in the main courtyard are an inviting place to indulge in the lodge's "easy living" motto. Beyond that, the food deserves its own special nod -- outstanding at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, with rave reviews from all. That said, it would be nice to offer individual seating at dinner instead of the "single long table" ranch-style service. It can be awkward, or at least less relaxing, to sit across from strangers at each dinner each evening and make generic small talk. Overall, a wonderful getaway under starry skies!
