I asked to have a car towed to a scrap yard and the man on the line (Saturday morning October 28, 2017) told me they wouldn't tow to the place because they couldn't risk blowing a tire. I said 'wow' ok, and before I could say anything else he said bye in a very disrespectful and condescending tone and literally hung up in my face. I can say in my entire 51 year life I have never been treated so unprofessionally. If they were the last place on the planet to provide a service for me I would not use them. Returned a U-Haul here and was told I needed to return it with half of a tank of gas. I filled the tank back to half like I was told to in order to avoid the refueling fees and was STILL charged for fuel even though I put $35 in the tank right before returning it!!! I'm LIVID!!! Literally the shittiest service I've ever had in my life! I dropped my service truck off and they were trying to charge me more to put it on a different lift! Around $80 more for the same exact service just a different lift! Not to mention when I went to go pick it up it took them over 25 minutes and finally I had to go in again and ask where my truck was, the desk woman said she had no idea where the man had went that was supposed to get my truck to me. Every person I talk to you each time weather on the phone or in person was a complete idiot who was absolutely rude! Apache Sands came to assist in moving a car off truck hauler ,apparently there was one of the trucks leaking hydraulic oil on the street. I called to see if they could come back out and put some absorbent on the spill , Drew who answered the call was very rude called me a PRICK and hung up on me, what a shame AAA uses this company for their members. Drew must be one of their more valuable employees if allowed to speak like that to customers. I'll never reccomend this to company for my own customers. read more

Do not let them tow your car there after an accident. I had to deal with them today; the "manager" who wouldn't provide his name, gives terrible service. Luckily, I took my registration out of the car at the scene so I was able to arrive and try to obtain items in the trunk. Over the phone, they told me that the keys were there. I arrive, and they aren't. I was unable to open the trunk since the dash was busted. I asked them if I could come back with the spare set, and they told me they were open until 5:00 pm. I told them I had tools and a vacuum in the trunk so I would be back. My other car broke down (in the heat of June), so I had to get it towed back home and get into the rental car. All the while being 9 months pregnant (going in for a csection tomorrow). Due to this delay, I raced back and arrived at 4:45 pm. The "manager" told me I had to arrive at 4:40 to have access to the car. I told him there was no notice of this among the myriad of notices they have posted. He told me he could make a sign if that's what I wanted. I told him both the girl at the front and the gentleman who took me to my car told me I could go back if I arrived at 5:00. The girl was still there but he laughed at me and said that the guy who took me back doesn't speak English. I actually had spoken to him in Spanish as I'm bilingual; the "manager" looked surprised but still wouldn't honor what his employees had told me. I even told him that they had told me that the keys were with it when I called in. He didn't know why they would tell me that if they weren't. I asked if he would make an exception and grant me access to the car as it would take 5 minutes to retrieve the tools since I was going in for surgery the next morning before they opened. He advised he makes exceptions for no one. He then said I could go back if I paid him $40 (and only in cash! Was he looking to just pocket that?) Even though it was still before closing time. So, I hope whoever took our tools and vacuum enjoy it. I believe how you treat people comes back to you and I think this "manager" should reconsider how he treats people. How can you be open but not offering service when your employees and all signs show a time to close? read more

Dane who came and help jump my battery was professional, polite and very determined to get me on my way. As my truck battery terminals are on the side and are hard to clamp on, he tried two different jump-starting kits then had to add on metal connecting plates to the terminals to get a good connection. After several tries and attempts we finally got a good connection and my truck started right up. Dane was not impatient and did not make up any excuses or even appeared disappointed, but maintained a positive attitude and sought different ways to solve a problem. My only disappoinment is that I did not have more cash on me to give him a bigger tip ! read more

Had a flat tire and requested a tow. The driver came and did everything great up to the point where accidentally backed my car through a mesquite tree at the tire shop. When I called and asked them to remedy the scratches my car has from head lights to tail lights they sent me to a body shop for repair. The body shop advised on a buff. The car is a black 2003 M5. Not a car that I want to buff and remove clear coat on. Buffing will only cause the paint to oxidize and peel earlier in life since more of the clear coat has been removed. I asked the body shop to polish the paint with a 2000 to 2500 grit polish, by hand, to attempt to remove the scratches. They decided to use glaze instead. Glaze just masks the problem; furthermore the scratches are still visible. When I called Matt from Apache Sands to address the situation he said he would not repaint the panels his driver damaged and would only pay for a buff. Since I am not going to allow a buff, "our conversation is over" according to Matt. Why not just use insurance for what it's intended? Your driver made a mistake, now I have to live with scratches form hood to trunk for the life of my vehicle?! WTF!? You damaged it! You should fix it! Bottom line: If they screw it up, look for minimal effort to remedy the issue. read more

Horrible service. Just like the old days. Come in for an oil change and they will want to replace your hoses your battery your transmission fluid. Stay away from this place they will hold your car hostage. Edit - I brought my car I. Simply to get the battery checked. A battery that was replaced by your aaa truck. The driver told me that I could come by anytime to have the battery checked as it was under warranty. I had no idea that it would take 1 hour to attach a couple of cables to see if the battery even needed to be replaced. While I waited I saw the above. "Your filters, hoses, transmission fluid etc need service,,,". The elderly gentlemen had to say no, no, no. So I got in my car and drive over to Volvo. Where I should have gone in the first place. My car was in and checked out in the time it took for the inept person at the desk to go retrieve my car that they didn't even check. Stay away from this place. They are ready for you to yell at them. I am sure that it happens on a daily basis. Don't be fooled by owners responses that this isn't normal. If you doubt me, just stop in and you will wish you went somewhere else. read more

I had two flat tires due to serious punctures on my 1990 Ford F-250. Through Geico, Apache Sands was dispatched to tow my truck to CenPho for two replacement tires for the worn-out ones. Technician Don called to say he was 15 min out, which was 30 min earlier than first estimated. After inspecting the truck, Don called in additional assistance for the large lug nuts to ensure that the wheel was safe to transport. He is so friendly & professional. The pleasant trip to 18th St & Van Buren went so well, and Don even worked w/ the shop management to properly drop my vehicle. I have had other very positive experiences w/ Apache Sands this year, but this over-the-top service & VIP treatment really deserves an excellent writeup on yelp*! read more

This place is absolutely horrible! Do NOT let them tow your vehicle from an accident and store it. They will hold your vehicle hostage and play games so they can keep it as long as they can to charge more daily rates. My husband and I fought for 2 days to get my vehicle towed from their to get fixed. The manager is a liar! Staff have an attitude and good careless about you or your vehicle. The manager said my registration was not in my vehicle yesterday, got in a fight with my husband and we couldn't get it out of there. I went back this morning, after paying a fee to get a duplicate registration, I went to my vehicle and guess what I found in there? Yep, my registration that the manager said wasn't there. This place is a bunch of crooks. They wouldn't credit me back for the fact that my registration was in fact in my vehicle and forced me to come back the next day after getting a duplicate from DMV. When I showed Megan (she was there when Matt lies to my husband), she shrugged her shoulders. And to make matters worse, when I opened my car door, my items that were stored neatly in the dash, were scattered all over my car. Matt is a pig for leaving the inside of my vehicle trashed. They have no respect for personal property. And it gets better, they damaged the passenger door, the same side the manager used to scatter my belongings. No respect for property. So after being in a bad accident, I have to deal with this along with my injuries. Stay away from this place!!!! The towing was fine. It took about 2 hours total which was anticipated. For some reason the tow truck driver felt the need to charge an extra $10. The driver had the phone number and name of the vehicle owner. Instead of contacting the owner of the vehicle, the driver went into the business where the car was located, and told the owner of the business he needed $10 to tow a car from their parking lot. Interesting, because the tow was 9.1 miles from point to point and the closest dealership. Therefore, no extra money was required. What an interesting way to get extra money from a tow. read more

Called earlier, they said it was one price, arrived and the price went up $35 because it was after hours. They needed the exact amount. None of this was relayed when we called. They could have mentioned the hours, the price difference, and needing the exact amount. On top of that, it took 20+ minutes for them to bring the car around. Was told an hour wait for my tow. Ended up being about two hours. No one has the courtesy to give you a call about a delay or anything. So when I called I was told they are 15 minutes away. So 25 minutes later I called again to be told the same thing yet again. So finally at 2 hours I get a call from the tow guy "alex" asking where I am. My response was stuck on the east side parking lot. (Which was disclosed in the initial call) so I was told by Alex I can't see you but I am here. I said ok me to and disconnect the call. Alex finally gets to my car and ask me did the call drop or I hang up. Told him I hung up. Then he got aggressive and approached me calling me "bro" and asking me why I hung up and got in my face.
