Quick response and first class service! My AC went out at 11am in the morning. The thermostat had no power. I live in a condo so we only have one thermostat that controls the AC to all the rooms. Thank you to APB Construction HVAC Division for their great customer service, technical skill and great workmanship installing a new Fujitsu 18,000 BTU single zone split air system in my Master Bedroom. Jordan (HVAC Foreman) response time was quick and he was able to fit me in this week. Jordan came to my home with company covid 19 protocol and took some pictures of the old Sanyo unit and recommended the Fujitsu model since it was in stock. Sent me a quote and contract, and explained to me about manufacturer 12 year warranty on parts and compressor, and 1 year APB warranty on installation/workmanship. He gave me a detailed work proposal that I felt was worth my money. Emil and Mark (technicians) wore their masks from start to finish and kept work areas tidy. They were very friendly and worked independently of each other to finish the removal of the old AC unit and installation of the new Fujitsu unit in less than 4 hours. First let me say, we had another company arranged to check our AC unit that we contacted 2 days ago. We had been calling around with minimal responses. Messaged APB on Yelp, received a very quick response with a brief online form to fill out regarding my AC issues. Got a call back within the hour, their service man Emil was in my area and can come in about 15 mins (if you live in Ewa Beach you can imagine my excitement)! Emil shows up, fixes compressor for an extra $40 for the part plus my service charge of $140 (about 20$ cheaper than any other company's service charge I was quoted). Gave us great advice on current unit and that we'd likely need to replace soon but this will buy us a little time and at least help cool down the house some. He offered to give us quotes on a new unit, took pics, discussed refrigerant. If the world wasn't crazy with COVID I would have HUGGED this man... but I may need him to come back-so I refrained! I had several Mitsubishi split air conditioners that hadn't been serviced since they were installed years ago. I needed quick help because my family was coming to stay with us, and I wanted everyone to be comfortable. I searched on Yelp and contacted another company, and Yelp forwarded my request to them and a few others, including APB. They responded quickly, were available, gave me a fair quote, and even got me a rebate. The technicians arrived on time and carefully inspected each unit, informing me that one didn't need servicing. I had requested a repair for one that wasn't working, but after looking at it, the technician told me it was extremely dirty and would probably work after a good cleaning, and it did! I feel like I got quality service/product from what I paid for. From the outside, the units look precisely like the other homes' units. This was a major concern of our AOAO, and they met expectations perfectly. Everything inside looks great too. Trenton especially went above and beyond by installing a door seal (the thing you put on the bottom of a door to help prevent air from escaping) for free. On the second day, their lift broke down around lunch. This was unforeseeable and unavoidable, but Mark and Jordan came through and arranged for the lift to be fixed in time for them to finish by our initially planned end date. The guys needed to store the unboxed units and their gear overnight and Mark and Trenton went out of their way to help cover the units and gear and fence it off so it was safe for my three-year-old. Jordan was great with helping with the big-picture stuff and the planning process. I had to help our AOAO rewrite their existing procedures/specs for AC installation and answered every question I had for him in this process. I check with 3 other company and their quote was the best therefore I went with them. Emil scheduled the installation within the week. He and his partner Mark installed the entire unit quickly and provided great customer service. Their manager Jordon also came by to check out the job and to meet me. I liked to see a team work well together as they did. I have 5 other Old units and needed service but they were honest with me about why there is a risk in servicing AC that never been serviced over 15 yrs and the chances it may be disturbing the unit with cleaning it. It may break down after and didn't want me to spend the money servicing it now and then soon after may need to replace the entire AC. Which made sense. My main downstairs AC unit (through-the-wall, window) went out, and there are not many companies that cover this nowadays. I went on yelp and did a general search for service. Our HVAC condensate drain was severely clogged, had 1 repair man came to unclog to no avail! Mark from APB came to the rescue and unclogged the drain! Not only that, he chose to check our entire system and found out our nest thermostat was bad and changed that out along with finding a leak in our evaporator coil. Mark is very experienced and precise at his craft. He's very communicative and we will continue to use him for the foreseeable future.
