Our HVAC condensate drain was severely clogged, had 1 repair man came to unclog to no avail! Mark from APB came to the rescue and unclogged the drain! Not only that, he chose to check our entire system and found out our nest thermostat was bad and changed that out along with finding a leak in our evaporator coil. Mark is very experienced and precise at his craft. He's very communicative and we will continue to use him for the foreseeable future. We recently replaced our Comfortmaker A/C system after 18 years of service. We obtained competitive quotes from several contractors for the top five central A/C manufacturers. I reached out to APB about a week ago because our master bedroom AC unit was no longer putting out cold air. Their correspondence and communication through out the process was fantastic. When they came to service the unit they walked me through every step. They found the leak, explained the process, quoted the price on the spot, and fixed it the same day. My living room A/C (7 year old Fujitsu split) started leaking (inside the house) Saturday morning (5/29/2020) . I checked Yelp and used the "send quotes" option. Emil at APB responded within a couple of hours on the weekend (the other companies didn't as they were closed). He quoted the work as 1-2 hours at $125 an hour) and said it could be done Wednesday. He told me in cleaning the drain pipe, he could tune it up (clean the inside and outside condenser) as Hawaii Energy has a $100 rebate on this service (up to 2 units in 1 year). I told him I was waiting on other quotes and he squeezed me in Monday. He showed up on time and did the work in 1 1/2 hours. I was impressed as he took the unit off the wall to service. Other companies leave it on the wall but attach a big bag that drains to a 50 gal garbage can. He was courteous and professional too. I'm happy with the work and scheduled him to come back in a few days to do another AC. I definitely recommend this company! read more

APB has an awesome crew. Starting with Jordan, who is the 'face' for the company. He is very responsive and represents the company well. Jordan also coordinated with the electrician for the wiring. Then when it came to the installation, APB's A-Team (Emil, Mark and Trent) performed the work on our split system. The Team were good communicators, tidy and clean workers. APB has the best communication platforms I have encountered. I've been looking for a company to service my Daikin split system for a few weeks until finding APB on yelp. Many companies I reached out too failed to return calls or did not follow up. APB was responsive leading up to the appointment and Emil was assigned to handle our service. He was very thorough and kept me informed of his work during his service. He fixed a leak and provided maintenance on the other 3 systems. I'll start by saying our AC went out and Carrier Hawaii recommended APB. We shot them an email and the next day Jordan Dawson came out to check out our system. He came in very professional and went to work. His findings were not great for us, but he was thorough and honest. He diagnosed our system to need a new blower, but more importantly he took pictures of the inside of the unit. It was covered in mold!! His recommendation was to change the interior unit. He also looked over our exterior unit. That part was all rusted and needed some help. He also informed us that the builders put in a unit that was undersized for our home. Oh boy here we go. He left for the day but gave us solid advise. Jordan sent over a quick quote to change the blower to get us going again and to replace the unit that evening. The next day he called and gave us our options. We chose to replace everything. That is where Jordan was great. He placed a unit on hold for us and set an install date. All without a down payment. He sent us out a formal quote and the price surprised us. Not as high as expected and Jordan even sent in for HECO rebates. So far, so good. Highly recommend APB to anyone. read more

Our AC was out for a week, and although we have been able to successfully troubleshoot it ourselves in the past, our usual methods weren't working. We reached out to 2 companies who serviced our unit in the past, but no response. I found APB on Yelp, and noticed there was another review from a Gentry home, with a similar situation so decided to message them. I messaged around 8pm on Saturday night and wasn't expecting a response until Monday, but to my surprise, Emil responded within minutes!! After responding back, he called my husband minutes later! Emil got an idea of how our system works over the phone, and gave my husband a couple of suggestions on what could be wrong, since his earliest appointment was Tuesday morning. Luckily, my husband is handy enough to get up in the attic and mess around with the equipment. About 10 minutes later, we heard the compressor kick on and we were on our way to air again We really can't say enough about Emil taking his time on a Saturday night, not only to respond, but to help us out in this way. Do not seek services from this company! They claimed to fix my AC which was never the case. The initial diagnostic was incorrect. I paid $1,400 and my AC you is still down. I called an asked if they can trouble shoot again and they told me it would be another fee. Please do not waste your time and money with this company. read more

At first I was going with the place that has their commercials during the local news. But when I went to the Yelp reviews for them and found out how much their services were, I went looking somewhere else. APB had the highest rating, so I contacted them via Yelp. JD called me within a day and asked what I needed done. He gave me an estimate that I thought was fair, so I decided to book a date. Mark and Trent showed up at the scheduled day and time. Mark was the lead, so I talked to him the most. Both were friendly and worked hard at deep cleaning my four split air units and condenser. In addition to getting our AC running at optimal levels again, I was even happier that the end cost was less than JD's estimate (by a lot!). Our split system is 11 years old, so Mark said a replacement might be coming up in a few years and gave his recommendations. We will run our split system til it can't no more, but when we do replace it, I will be going with APB to do it. read more

The whole experience was very professional, from the way they set up the appointment, to the way they reminded me of the service the day before, to the way they cleaned up after themselves when done, to the customer satisfaction survey to make sure we were satisfied. JD arrived with face covering, since there are concerns about COVID-19. JD tested the AC and pointed out the Mode was set wrong. JD showed me the proper control setting. JD opened the condenser and checked the voltage with a multi-meter. Using a digital thermometer JD confirmed the condenser temperature was reading the controller's temperature. Emil answered our request for a quote within 20 mins. He was honest from the beginning and helped us make the best choice for our situation by giving us the pros and cons of each option. APB Construction was actually referred to us by our go-to AC company because they didn't have any openings for another few weeks and we needed someone sooner. Emil was awesome and got back to me really quick. Initially they didn't have an opening on the day that we really needed them, but there was an opening that became available and they were able to squeeze us in at the last minute. Mark, the technician who came to assess the situation, was on time, very professional and very helpful. He explained the issue and took the time to provide us some tips and recommendations to decrease the risk of reoccurring. Before Mark left, he wanted to double check and make sure that our AC unit was working correctly. It was taking much longer than usual for our it to fire up, which isn't normal for us. We first thought it was because we've had it off for a few days, but after a little investigation, he realized that our thermostat had malfunctioned.
