TGM Appliance Service LLC was assigned by American Home Shield (AHS) to inspect my dryer. The appointment was scheduled for the same day, and the technician, Alex, was actually very good. He spent about two hours diagnosing the issue and identified a damaged filter holder caused most likely by internal heat. He clearly explained that the part was not damaged due to misuse or abuse and assured me that it should be covered under the home warranty. Unfortunately, two days later, TGM submitted a report to AHS claiming the failure reason as "Misuse or Abuse," which is completely false. As a result, AHS denied the replacement. That's not all -- when I tried to contact TGM directly to get a quote for an out-of-pocket repair, they ignored my calls. Their office manager, Toni, never returned any of my calls and completely ignored all my voicemail and text messages. Eventually, I received a brief text reply saying: "We are out of the picture, please contact AHS. We do not do out of pocket services." I find it extremely unprofessional for a repair company to misrepresent the cause of damage to avoid additional work and refuse to communicate with customers. It feels like they're only interested in collecting the initial service fee while avoiding any real repairs or responsibility. Very disappointed. I do not recommend using TGM Appliance Service for any appliance repair services. read more

Service Requested - through AHM Shield. Tech came out 3 times and replaced things. Still did work. Service - Came out 3 times to try to fix my washer. On the third time he left and said "I can't fix it. He told AHS he fixed it, and now the washer is worse then what it started I requested a reserve since it was free but I have a feeling nothing will be done about AGAIN! Value - If AHS assigns these people to you, ask for someone else. Paying $125 to still have a broken washer that grinds and doesn't clean clothes isn't worth it. I paid them $100 and never received a receipt, nor a diagnostic in writing. he just verbally said that there's a leak on my Freon. Is that dangerous? I called back to ask this question but no answer. Funny how they can tell you there's a leak of Freon from your fridge, but never indicated rather or not as dangerous and just leave people wondering for themselves. Very unprofessional. When I call they said my phone calls to Voice Mail purposely not answering my calls. Also, he lie to my warranty company and told him that I indicated that my fridge has been like that for weeks. I never said that. That was 100% lie. Therefore Yves denied. The technician could not move my Fridge on his own and complained about it. He's a very skinny guy and can barely move a fridge. The technician was extremely thorough and very informative. The real gem, however, is their office manager, Toni! She is so friendly and understanding. I wish my appliance was fixed but Its not. TGM was sent to fix my dryer and washer through AHS. The gentleman that arrived was definitely more knowledgeable then the other companies that AHS works with so I would choose them over the others. It is unfortunate that our problem couldn't be solved. I looked up the issues my machine was having through AI and was hoping that would help assist my tech solve the problem. He unfortunately didn't want that assistance and ran his own tests stating my dryer had no mechanical issue. My dryer does have an issue as it takes 2 cycles to dry my clothes which it never used to do and isnt normal. This company couldn't fix my issue but I do feel.the tech was way better then the others. The only thing that put a damper on our situation other then the dryer not being fixed was having someone tell me that we were putting to much stuff in the dryer. This happens consistently with both big and small loads and with someone not here to see what is put in they shouldn't make that assumption. There is no reason for us to put in a work order and pay $75 for an appliance that is supposedly working. We will have to get a second opinion but I do believe this is a better company then the others. I nocked off 1 star because the dryer wasnt fixed and 1 star for the person who texted me saying I overloaded the dryer which wasnt necessary. read more

TGM Appliance Service was dispatched, they immediately contacted me to schedule an appointment. Service tech arrives, turns the dryer on (did not take the dryer apart at all) and says its the wheels and you need to clean the dryer duct. The claim is approved to replace dryer wheels, service tech arrives takes the dryer apart and says its the motor not the wheels. We have American home shield warranty for appliances and basically everything else in the. When our fridge broke down they sent TGM appliance repair to fix it. There technician had no clue what he was doing, he pulled up YouTube videos on how to fix the fridge. The fridge a month later still doesn't work. The technician told me to buy a part and install it and my fridge will work fine. Like I said the fridge still doesn't work and they won't refund me the cost of the part. This company was referred by my home warranty company American Home Shield. The person was sent out to check my washing machine and was at my home for less than five minutes and tells me that the entire barrel was broken....no kidding! He proceeds to leave and doesn't say anything. When I contact the home warranty company, they informed me that this idiot put in his report that the washing machine was damaged from misuse and abuse which is a flat out lie! He diagnosed the problem and ordered the part. My dryer was fixed in less than 3 days even with the part having to be ordered. I don't know the tech"s name (my husband was home, not me) but my husband said the tech really knew his stuff and quickly diagnosed the repair and had us up and working in less than 30 minutes. The issue was resolved and a follow-up was not necessary. The dishwasher has been working great since then (over 3 weeks ago.) I do not want to give 1 star but had to. The receptionist was very nice and the tech was also nice. The reason for the one star is I have AHS insurance. My food in the refrigerator is freezing, so they sent TGM. The tech thought he found the problem and replaced a part. A week later the food was still freezing. They came out a 2nd time and told me we were storing our food wrong. We have been storing our food for 4 yrs the same way and this never happened. So he set our food up right according to him and left. The food continued to freeze. When AHS said they would send them again they refused to come out and used the same excuse our food was stored wrong. I feel they should have told AHS that there is a problem and they can not find it so maybe refrigerator should be replaced but instead just refused to come out and used the same excuse. read more

Absolutely HORRIBLE company!!! This company was assigned to me by my home warranty company for my broken refrigerator/freezer upon moving into my new home. It took 2-3 days for the company to even reach out to schedule with me so in the mean time I lost my entire refrigerator/freezer of groceries. When the man finally came out he was very short with me, told me that the problems were "pre-existing" and that the condenser was missing. Then changed the story to the condenser was there, but not the original, and that there was a freon leak... but he is unable to fix ANY of it because the aren't the original parts and kept saying that he is "a professional". He was in and out of the house in less than 15 min and it was clear he was just there to collect the "service fee" when no service was provided. Just had another company out and while he agreed it was not the original compressor he took his time, did some texts, added freon, etc. and was able to get it at least temporarily fixed until I can buy a new one. TGM is a terrible company and are clearly limited in their abilities. Hire a TRUE expert and SAVE YOUR MONEY! read more

Horrible all around. I was never able to get to the tech. They don't answer their phone, I have to wait for them to return my Call If they ever do that is.my dishwash was not draining, they came out to fix it, he said the pump need fo be be replaced and ordered. When he came back several day later to replace the pump, he said that it was still not drain due to clogged hoses. And he need to get those. So almost 2 weeks and I still don't have a dishwasher. Why would you not check the hoses when you where looking at the pump? read more
