Tom came out the same day we called. Had a load of wet wash in a dryer that just died for some reason. The morbid reason was a small rabbit had crawled into the outside vent and got smooshed by the mechanism controlling the drum. It was a mess. Tom told me upfront that bearing problems in the washing machine I had end up costing $500-$600 usually and told me that it's probably best to just replace the washer. I have a six-year-old Samsung dryer that came with the house when we bought it a couple of years ago. It was making a scratching/whining sound that was steadily getting worse, so I called Apex to see if they could come take a look at it. He was there two hours later, fixed the problem (the bearing was completely shot), and recommended another couple of commonly worn-out parts (belt, rollers) be replaced while he had the barrel out for a very small additional cost. The dryer runs perfectly now, I thought his price was extremely reasonable, and he was very responsive and friendly. I highly recommend! read more

Prompt, efficient & reasonable! Tom diagnosed the problem (faulty ignitor) and informed me that it could still be under warranty. Tom was here already so I opted to have him replace the ignitor, which he did. It wasn't an easy job as the ignitor was "buried" inside the washer/dryer combo unit. Based on the reviews here on Yelp, Apex was the only company I called to come out and see why my clothes dryer was not generating any heat. Tom (Yotam) lived up to his sterling reputation. He came out the next day--it could've been the same day if I'd paid attention to my text messages--diagnosed the problem (a non-functioning heating unit), and performed the repairs within an hour of arriving. The price was reasonable, he had the faulty part in stock, and the repairs were successful. Tom's work saved me at least $400 relative to the cost of a new dryer. Tom is businesslike but pleasant. Yotam arrived within the scheduled time frame and diagnosed my Bosch dishwasher to have a "sticky" float. I was having trouble with my refrigerator so I got on yelp! Apex repairs had multiple 5 star reviews. As it turned out the reviews were well deserved. Responds quickly, on time, honest diagnosis. Tom gave me several options from full service repair to me doing some of it on my own to save some money. Tom fixed my Built in fridge which the GE contractor told me previously would have to be repla$ed if it acted up again. People practicing the Golden Rule are getting harder to find so it was heartening to find Tom. If I'm in need of repairs in the future I will be calling Apex. Wow, what service!! Three weeks ago I opened my freezer to grab ice and found it was frozen into one big piece. I dumped it cleaned and dried the tray. Next day, same thing so I decided to call for a repair. I googled appliance repair and found Apex Repair. I spoke directly to the owner who seemed straight forward and honest. He explained there was a service charge for coming and diagnosing. He also explain this charge was included in the price of the repair if he ended up repairing it after diagnosis. So I had him come and he took a look at it. After close inspection he determined it was not aligned correctly which was causing water to tricle out onto the ice tray. He made a small adjustment and that was it. He told me that should do it but if it continued to give him a call. In the end he only charged the initial trip charge and nothing else. We have not had any problems since then, so I am a happy camper. Apex Repairs is my now my go to company for our appliance service. read more

Who expects your gas oven to break. Mine did. On top of that a competitor did not show up for a scheduled appointment. I called Apex. He not only showed up before the appointment time, he explained the problem, advised the problem did not affect my use of the burners on my stove, promptly ordered and replaced the part. He was professional and pleasant. Unfortunately, l have to change my recommendation. I can not recommend Apex. I called 3 hours after the scheduled appointment time and asked why was he late. The representative for Apex said, "I don't have your address."
