So the actual work was done very well. The part that was not great is the quote I got apparently didn't cover the whole scope. After completing the project that there were still windows that didn't work, only to be told those would be additional. So we went through a second round of window repairs and finally got it all fixed. It cost more than we wanted to spend when it was said and done. make sure you completely understand what's included on the written estimate, regardless of what you discuss verbally. read more

Be warned, this company is incompetent when it comes to scheduling. They refuse to confirm appointment windows at the time you call to schedule. I had clearly told them when I made the appointment two weeks in advance that I could not afford to hold a full day open, so we needed to set a window in advance. They told me they could try to set the appointment between 9 - 12 so I arranged my schedule to keep that time open. Instead, literally the day before the appointment, at the very end of the day, they tell me that my appointment window will be 1- 3. I will not give any of my money company that is so disrespectful of its customers time. read more

I had two bathroom windows that I thought I needed to replace and Apex Windows were the only ones that was willing to come out to do an estimate for a low quantity of windows. I was able to schedule an estimate and they gave me a 2 hour time window. The estimator provided text updates and arrived towards the tail end of the 2 hour time window, but was very informative and told us we didn't actually need to replace any of our windows, but fix the issue saving us a lot of money. Since we didn't have any other hits with other contractors and the price was within our budget, we scheduled for a fix date immediately. The contractor who came (about 2 weeks after the estimate) communicated over text and worked really fast and did the job in less than an hour. Replaced a glass window in the bathroom and two mechanisms in our bay window. Overall very satisfied with the service and I would recommend giving this business a chance. read more

The service was excellent. I had the front glass of a garden window in need of replacement. The 1st attempt at replacement was unsuccessful due to a wrong measurement which caused the install to crack. However, installers returned in a few days with a properly measured replacement glass which they then installed without any further problem. The workmen that came out were great and a pleasure to deal with. I used this company previously and all was great. This time the customer service aspect was different. A family health issue came up and they wanted to charge to move the date. No flexibility in their part. They also charge 3% if a credit card is used . Not sure I would use them again. My experience started out horrible but ended up ok, hence the three stars review. I initially contacted Apex windows to replace three foggy windows that had broken seals. I informed the gentleman (Serge) that came to give me a estimate that I wanted the exact same windows so they matched, I told him I wasn't planning to replace the other two windows since they weren't foggy and were fine. He took measurements and gave me a quote, I agreed to the price and decided to move forward since the price was very competitive. The tech that came out did a horrible job installing the windows and broke two of my uplighting outside. When I pointed out the two lights that were crushed he got very defensive and denied it until I showed him a receipt showing they were just installed the day before, then he admitted to it and took $60 off my bill. I know accidents happen, but as a company it's only right to own up to it and make it right. Not only was the windows missing caulking and now having two broken up lights, the glass wasn't the same. As you can see by the picture the original glass had a slight tint in it. When I called to ask why the new glass was clear and didn't match? They sent Stas (a supervisor) out to take a look. Stas was very professional and apologetic for the first techs workmanship. He re-caulked the windows and double checked everything which was nice. He even called Serge to come back and asked him why I was sold glass that wasn't the same? Serge told me my glass was clear and that's why he quoted me for clear glass, which obviously isn't true. So unfortunately in order for the front windows of my house to match I had to buy two more windows because the windows I had "are no longer available" and they wouldn't be able to replace them to make them match. I wish I would of been told this during my initial estimate. The second tech that came out to replace the rest of my windows did a great job. They even took the time to touch up the paint around the windows that the first tech didn't do. They were extra careful with my property and left without breaking anything. Overall, Apex windows did make it better by fixing the poor installation, thanks to the supervisors Stas and Nikita. I still have a hard time believing that the tinted glass I had is no longer available, but it's too late for that. I was given $50 off the two extra glass windows I had to purchase in order to have the front of my house match, $50 off was definitely not worth the headache and time. I would use Apex windows again only if I work with Stas or Nikita from start to finish. read more

We have a lot of windows that were unable to open properly. Apex came out quickly to give us a quote. The price was fair (especially if you compare to replacing the windows). The estimator was professional, and turned around a comprehensive quote in 4 days. We were able to schedule within two weeks, and they completed the job in 1.5 days (estimated 2). Team was great. They found three other items that needed repair once in the job, so we came in +10% above the estimate; however, we were told that might be the case once they started the work. Being an evening worker I had open morning/early afternoon availability I gave this company to come out and give an estimate. Got a phone call the day before saying they'd be out between 3-5pm when I'm at work. Re-scheduled for the next day and I re-emphasized morning/early afternoon availability, got a call again saying they'd be there between 2:30-4:30pm. Again I re-emphasized I leave for work at 2:30 and they just tried to re-schedule again. I had three estimates for my windows due to foggy glass. I had 11 windows replaced and Apex did a great job. Dennis came out and measured my windows for the estimate and came back to remeasure for proper fittings. He was very professional and service oriented. I was very impressed with their service center. If I had a question I could call and get a direct answer. I was told it would take between 3-4 hours for the install. It was actually one hour and forty five minutes. And they look great. Terrible scheduling experience. Apex promptly came to my home, measured my window, and provided a competitive quote. They explained up front that it would take about six months for my window to arrive and that when it did they would come to my house to take a measurement. I paid 50 percent for the job and waited. I called 3-4 months later just to check in and was told the window had not arrived and I would be notified once it did so that they could take final measurements. I called just shy of the 6 month mark and they said they had not even ordered the window yet because they supposedly called me and left me a voicemail to take final measurements and I never called back. Completely wasted six months of my time and now I have to start over with a new company because I have zero trust in them to follow through on the next quote or to fix any issues if the repair does not go well. I am a homeowner of 10 years. I have refinished my floors, remodeled a kitchen and bathroom, installed a fence, had a concrete patio poured, and had a shed built. I'm not inexperienced with contractors. This was a very bad experience. read more

I had used Apex several years ago to repair/replace some of my windows. They seemed to have done a good job. A month or so AFTER I had my windows serviced, I received an additional Invoice from Apex for a window that was quoted but not serviced. After I contacted Apex; they cancelled this "Bogus" Invoice but did not apologize for their error. I recently contacted Apex again for another window replacement/repair. They came out within a few days and I received a quote within 24 hours of their visit. After receiving the quote for a wood window repair; I called them again requesting that they either look at their records or come back out again so they could see the vinyl windows that they installed. The estimator who came out said vinyl would be less costly. I waited several days before calling Apex about this new cost estimate. I have now called and spoken with someone at least 4 different times and keep getting the same response. "We are sorry, we will expedite this quote and you will receive it soon". It is now 3 weeks later and I am still not getting a response. This quite concerning "on-going" episode has me wondering what kind of a "legitimate" business this Company, Apex, actually is. I am now getting other quotes and have decided they will NEVER step foot in my house again although based on the above, I do not expect to hear from them again in any case. A real sad commentary on a "mystery" company indeed. read more

Apex replaced every window (35 windows) in my home due to failed glass seals. The initial interface could not have been easier; they measured quickly and replaced them in an quick and efficient manner. Until the first time it rained and one of the panes in one of the windows leaked rather badly. I called to have someone come out to repair it but they would not do anything unless I had a photograph of the window actually leaking. This leaves me with either waiting until it rains again and taking a photo then or hiring someone else to come fix it. Too be very clear, the issue is with the business, not the workmanship. A single leak after replacing windows in the entire home is not a bad outcome. Typically it would be fixed and we would move on with no problems. The issue is that them insisting that I prove to them that this is a covered issue. I called them 12 days after installation due to the warranty requiring notice of installation defect within 15 days. The "warranty" on their work is not worth the paper it is printed on. EDIT :: Apex sent a tech that identified the source of the leak as an exterior crack caused by the work done to install the new windows and fixed it quickly with a bit of caulking. The workmanship and skill of the people doing the work has never been in doubt. Apex does good work. However I stand by my low review of the company as a whole. Hiring a company for work of this nature is making a commitment that lasts years and Apex management does not demonstrate the integrity that I expect from a contractor. I fully expect pushback and denial if I have another warranty claim, more if the claim is significant. EDIT 2 :: Apex requested that I remove my review after they corrected the defect. I refused as it is factual and an accurate depiction of my opinion of our interaction. They have now threatened me with legal action. read more
