I called them on the recommendation of a friend. A plumber came to fix the garbage disposal. He was on the phone the entire time. Once he figured it out, he called for a part to be dropped off. He did not fix it and broke the water cooling motor. DISASTER. I called them and explained how incompetent the first plumber was. When they came out they claimed I yelled at the receptionist. At the end of December 2020 we needed some maintenance done on several plumbing items in our house. We have used API in the past and have been very pleased with their work. Our tankless water heater needed flushing, our reverse osmosis system needed a filter change, kitchen sink faucet squeaked like a rusty gate and upstairs bathroom sinks/cabinets/faucets needed evaluation for future project. These guys went above and beyond for me... Doing a remodel and they found the sewer line to be bad. GC's guy wanted way too much $, so I called Bill per a friend's recommendation. He came out, quoted the amount I thought it'd be, and also suggested I replace slab sewer line while home is open, slab cut for other reasons, etc. Glad I did. He pointed out that my GC would not cover existing lines and if the slab line gave, the floor would have to ripped ripped up, etc. Bill is great & honest. I called for water heater repair. The guys looked at it and said that I needed to call and order three parts for the water heater and if they called and were put on hold I would have to pay for the time that they were on hold. And then they said when I got the parts to call them back and it would be $500 to install the parts. I called Water Heaters West and they came out right away and the total for fixing it was $70 and it took him about 10 minutes to fix it. I think the guys that came out from API were lazy and ripping me off. I would never ever call API again. I would give zero Stars if possible. read more

Unfortunately we had to have a hole cut into our house and then a trench dug in our carport and backyard. Incredible customer service and job performance! Bill came out to our home to give us a price and he was so kind, respectful, patient and professional. His pricing was close to one other company, but we chose him because he was much more knowledgeable and made us comfortable about the work. Nick also did the work and was also amazing to communicate with. Everything was done to perfection, and exactly how we wanted. They also gave us advice and helped us make decisions. If i could give zero stars i would. This company almost cost us the sale of our home. My husband is a realtor and used to use this company for his clients for sewer scopes. We are selling a property of ours and API came out to do a sewer scope. They told our buyers and gave us an estimated cost sheet of $20,000!!! That was just to rip out our foundation, kitchen, bathrooms (everything we already re-modeled). So in total it would have cost us around $40k. My husband and I doing more research had 2nd and 3rd opinions done. For ourselves and for the buyers of the home. Turns out API falsely reported what was wrong with the pipes. Scam? maybe. Someone doesn't know what their doing? maybe. All i know is that the quotes we got back were no more than $2k. Needless to say they lost out on a lot of business we would send their way and word of mouth will come back to bite them. API, do better. read more

I own a house that was built in the 1960's and, unfortunately, have needed several plumbers to come to my residence over the years mostly due to sewer back-up problems. API was recommended by our contractor during our most recent back-up. I am so completely satisfied with their service that I will only call API Plumbing in the future. API snaked my main drain and it seemed to do the trick until another back-up occurred one week later and it was apparent that there was a more serious issue. I flushed my Rinnai tankless water heater per manufactures instructions and ended up with no hot water this weekend. We just completed a remodel of the master bedroom and bathroom. The bathroom was very small, circa 1970. We decided to expand the master bedroom into a 4th bedroom. Making it a 3 bedroom home, and expand the bathroom to be much more useful. I decided to use API after doing some homework. They're local which is a plus. We combined changing the water heater to a tankless, added a water filtration at the same time, we were given a discount for doing everything at the same time. We moved fixtures, so the slab was cut, and toilet, sinks moved. I can't say enough about the crew. Rick, David, Teddy and AJ. All were professional, coutious, respectful. They show up when scheduled. Explained and answered all my questions as needed. I used a general contractor, but not their plumber. They were ok with me choosing API and both worked together as needed. I highly recommend API for any plumbing needs. You get what you pay for. Friday late morning driving down the road and I see an ASI truck and gave them a call because I had a leaking issue in a wall in my kitchen. The receptionist didn't know if they had anyone available so she said she would research it and call me back; which she did about 5 mins later and we set up an appt between 1 and 3pm the same day. Dustin called me when he was about twenty minutes out. I left the office and encountered 2 accidents on my way home: which is usually a 10 min drive. Dustin called me because he arrived before me. I had left the back door open and asked if he would feel comfortable going into my house and begin addressing the problem, which at this point I was about 5 mins out. By the time I had gotten there he had already addressed the issue and had a solution, and a backup solution if that didn't work. He got on the roof and snaked a drain and the problem was fixed. A perfect case of under promising and over delivering, and what a pleasurable guy to speak with. Although I would never recommend letting a tradesperson that one has never met, nor a company that one has never used before into ones home, in this case I felt it was a small enough gamble that paid off. As a business owner in the service industry (windows and doors ) for over 12 years, I easily recognize excellent customer service and good people. API just installed my home water filtration and softener system and wow, what a difference it made. I wish I had them do this years ago. Bill was fantastic throughout the whole process. He explained how the system works and what I would need to install it. There were no hidden fees and he didn't try and sell me on anything I didn't need. Bill knows his stuff. On the install day, Nick came and did a clean install. He was able to run the pipes and tuck the tanks in the corner of the garage where they were out of the way. API did quite a lot of work for me. Unfortunately, after they were supposedly finished with their work, the problems starting happening one-by-one. After repeated attempts to get them to come back out to fix what they installed in several different areas (or to just answer questions with my new plumber to let them know the specs of what they did), there simply was no communication. They went silent and ignored my issues. Even worse, it has become incredibly expensive to fix the issues and incorrect installation. I've had to jackhammer the floor, remove tile, remove plumbing fixtures, remove drywall and repair each portion of the damage created by API Plumbing, retile, repaint and I'm at my wits end. After today's issues, see picture attached, I want to alert the public in an effort to save the next sucker from the experience I face (and continue to face). This will be another set of expenses I'll need to pay for as a result of their negligence. read more
