My favorite pizza place, hands down. The Indian-style pizzas are incredible but don't sleep on the classics either. Super high quality, excellent flavor, and a massive variety. Placed an order for pickup in the afternoon and pizza was ready just a few minutes before the predicted 15 minutes. There is a small gravel parking lot (it shares a wall with China East) and seems very conveniently placed between neighborhoods. There isn't any place to sit indoors so this definitely a delivery/carryout place. It has been 3 years since my last order and a few things have changed about the menu. The garlic sauce is now an add-on, they have expanded their menu to include wings and vegan options, and now there's an option for a half and half specialty pizza (medium size and larger). Upon picking up the pizza, the gentleman asked if I would like cilantro on the pizza since it is the normal garnish. I ordered a medium half butter chicken and half chicken tikka. The crust has a slight sweetness to it, or maybe it was the sauce with the butter chicken. The chicken was tender and flavorful, the sauce was just the right amount to add flavor without making it a soggy pizza. The green pepper and red onions were diced small which made it easier to eat while also keeping the nice crunch texture. The chicken tikka half had a marinara sauce for the base and the chicken was a bit dry for my preference ( I prefer saucier things). Overall it's a decent pizza and I would like to try some of their other menu items. read more

Fire Indian fusion pizza spot! Love the concept, and the meat was super juicy and flavorful. I demolished a whole medium pizza with no leftovers--definitely will be back. Tried two pizzas: Butter Chicken Pizza - rich and creamy flavor. Chicken Tikka Masala Pizza - more tomato-forward, closer to a "regular pizza" taste. Tip: ask for the garlic sauce, it's amazing for dipping the crust. Also eat it right away while it's piping hot!!! So much yummier. Overall, the service was friendly and quick. The staff helped us with recommendations and let us opt for a half-and-half option, yay. There are only a couple of picnic tables outside, so it's mostly takeout, but they also sell Indian snacks and drinks at the front, which is a fun bonus. Love this Indian pizza spot and so glad they are open again! One of my fave things is that you can do half and half pizza- highly recommend the chicken tikka and achari chicken! After trying Apna's last month, I returned to try the butter chicken pizza. I was surprisingly disappointed. It was dry and the chicken was a bit too spicy for my taste. It appeared to have a dry rub coating of spices on it and it wasn't what I was expecting. Thinking about it now, I think maybe the restaurant gave me Achari chicken instead... I thought the pizza would be a bit saucier given that butter chicken has the iconic buttery tomato curry as a crucial component of the dish. I didn't like this take on the pizza myself, but I am interested in returning. Service was okay, the person taking my order was able to answer questions I had about the menu. There is a decent amount of parking right outside the restaurant (free). Indoors, the restaurant has space for carry-out only. Absolutely delicious vegan Indian pizza! We ordered 4 different flavors for a party (vegan chicken tikka, vegan impossible tandoori, vegan butter chicken, and vegan achari tofu (build your own including marinara and pickled jalapeños). Our guests loved them, including all of the non - vegans, and the crowd favorite was the tikka masala. Def get it with the extra spices (ginger, garlic, coriander, green chili). The location of this pizza place actually threw me off a bit cause it's right in a neighborhood. There is not indoor seating, but the service was good. Both of them were thin crust and prepared well done. They were loaded with flavor and toppings! I ate my entire pizza!!!! I would happily order this again. The wings were tiny and not quite up to par with how good the pizza was. I'd would not get these again. I was also slightly disappointed that their garlic dipping sauce comes premade. (Updated rating) Ordered a medium 14" bbq chicken pizza ($18.99) and a small 12" butter chicken pizza ($15.49) for takeout. The service was good, they made sure that everything was taken care of. The boq chicken pizza was very good. The toppings came together nicely and it has definitely became a favorite item of mine from them (8.7/10). The butter chicken was decent but looked amazing with all the toppings. The butter chicken came with a spicy flavor that wasn't really for me but i can see someone that loves Indian food loving that (7/10). Unfortunately despite how delicious this pizza looked and smelled, we took one bite and couldn't finish. The pizza itself was so drenched with ingredients I imagine that's what contributed to the dough being raw in the middle. As soon as we picked up the first slice to try, all of the toppings slid right off and the pizza itself was pretty wet...sucks because we were so hype for butter chicken pizza. However the Tandoori wings were a great make up, well seasoned and cooked! The green sauce they came with was also delicious! This review is only for the gluten-free crust pizza. Kudos to Apna for having a gluten-free option to begin with! I believe it's only available for the medium sized pizzas though. I got the Hawaiian pizza and the butter chicken pizza. The toppings were generous on both and I thought that the flavors were good. I think the butter chicken pizza needed some more sauce, and the crispy edges of the gluten-free crust was a bit hard to chew. But overall, it's a good spot to fulfill a pizza craving. read more

Probably the best Indian pizza I've had, though M&N is also excellent. The butter chicken fries is a phenomenal deal and will likely be what I order for myself here rather than the pizza which is rather expensive if you go the specialty route. Service is good, the guy who I've dealt with both times is friendly and courteous. Although many Yelpers seemed to have enjoyed the India-style pizza offered at Apna, I surprisingly enjoyed the traditional meat lovers pizza more. Don't get me wrong, the chicken tikka pizza was good, I just though the meat lovers was better. The chicken tikka pizza came topped with a generous amount of tender chicken tikka, roasted red peppers, onions, and peppers. There was some flavor (can't quite figure out what it was) that was a little overwhelming. The meat lovers was topped with all the meats - pepperoni, sausage, beef, and bacon. So good! Enjoy the dough on both pizzas, which was crispy on the outside and chewy on the inside. Two mediums were more than enough for a family of four. If you want some unique flavors for your pizza, this is the place. I love coming here. You can't go wrong with any of the pizza choices. My favorite is the garlic knots. It's so tasty and delicious. If you are a first-timer, you might not know to ask for a garlic sauce. I love dipping my pizza crust into the garlic sauce. My only complaint is that the pizza doesn't heat well the next day. Since their pizza is not as saucy, the pizza is pretty dry when you try to reheat it in the microwave or oven. read more

We randomly found this pizza as we are new to the area, and we really enjoyed our food. We got the large Shai Paneer and the Chicken Tikka Masala pizzas which was more than enough for 3 of us. We didn't like the Shai Paneer as much because it felt like there was almost too much seasoning without it being flavorful if that makes sense, but we really liked the chicken tikka. The pizza itself was also really good, the crust is hand tossed and we enjoyed eating it with the garlic sauce they gave. There are western pizzas as well and several other Indian-based flavors so there's a variety to pick from. The location around the pizza place could be more well lit as it was kind of near neighborhoods/schools, and the parking lot had massive pot holes with some cars blocking certain entrances but not sure if that's the fault of the restaurant. Ambiance - GREAT! There were so many people supporting this business on its opening day. You could just feel the love and support from everyone. There was a live DJ, 360 Photo Booth, bar, and face painting for the kiddos. I think that's great that they thought of the little ones as well. Service - Amazing! Me and a bunch of friends came to support our friends on their opening day and even though it was mad packed and crazy, they still took the time to say hello properly and treat us with respect. It did take a while for them to come out with the pizza but that's only because it was super super busy and only had one main chef, so that's understandable. Not to worry though, because one of them came out and apologized to us, he also said that he wanted to give it to us fresh and not rushed. Food - Yummy! We usually have to go all the way to Georgetown for good Indian pizza so I was excited to see this place so close. We tried the tikka chicken, lamb, and butter chicken pizza. The butter chicken was the most flavorful and my favorite out of the three. I also really enjoyed the lamb but the pizza sauce overpowered the marinated lambs delicious flavor. Overall I really enjoyed what we got and want to go and try some of the paneer versions of the pizza. I hope they add more Indian flavors in the future and have something like a saag paneer pizza read more

The place takes classic Indian dishes and makes it as a topping on pizza and I've got to say it is a really good combo. The menu has plenty of options from a Butter Chicken Pizza to a Tikka Masala Pizza, they also have your classic pizzas like Hawaiian as well. The restaurant is only takeout for now so I would recommend calling ahead of time to place your order. I ordered a Butter Chicken Pizza and it was delicious, take the staple flavor of butter chicken and throw it on a pizza to make a surprisingly good combination. The pizza may seem a bit pricey, ranging from $15 for a small to $18 for a large, but the sizing is considerably bigger than a normal size pizza so their small is comparable to a medium size pizza at Dominos. I'm sure the ingredients they use weigh into the pricing so I would say it is definitely worth it. I also noticed that the crust itself had a butter/garlic taste to it which was very refreshing, this isn't the type of crust that you throw out. The attention to detail to the pizza is great. They also carry exclusive Indian Masala flavor Lays chips and Indian versions of Coke and Sprite which tasted good as well. The place is newly opened at the time of posting this review and the people that work here are very nice, very personable and helpful. We got a samosa chaat and butter chicken pizza to take home. It is a bit of a drive so we had to warm the pizza when we returned, which we expected. We liked the samosa chaat a lot, it was right on par with other samosa chat we've had in the past, and it was a good size to share as a side. The pizza was good, but not quite what we were expecting. We're used to butter chicken being sweeter rather than savory, but this wasn't sweet at all. It was still good, but it was spicy which butter chicken that I've had usually is not. It wasn't too hot for me, just not quite what I was expecting. The garlic sauce they give you on the side is really nice to brush over the crust. The crust is a pretty standard American takeout pizza style crust. I think I'd be tempted to try the seekh kabob pizza next time as I expect that to be more on the savory/spicy side. The pizza was ready in the time quoted, or I assume it was, as it took us a little longer to get there than they quoted, but we didn't have to wait. The large comes with 8 large slices. One or two is sufficient per meal if you're eating a side with it. Prices seem fair to me. read more

Shahi paneer was the best bc 1) the base sauce was an Indian still sauce/gravy, not marinara and 2) the crust was thinner and less doughy. Garlic knots have an amazing texture to them, but I wish they used real garlic instead of garlic powder. They're new so service they're still working on, but It's a takeout place with only two tables outside. Took 45 minutes for our pizzas and an additional 25 minutes for the knots. This is our new favorite neighborhood pizza shop! Love that you can get both Indian and Italian-American flavors (we even get a combination on the same pizza!). Their chicken wings are also delicious. The quality is amazing, the service is friendly, and the price is honestly pretty fair for what you're getting. Although there's not much of a sit down area as it's primarily a to-go restaurant, the retail space is clean and you can tell that the owners really care about their business and the comfort of their customers. I'm here for anything fusion and anything pizza, so Apna's Indian pizza is right up my alley. I got the butter chicken (ordered online) and it was ready very quickly, roughly 15 minutes later. The medium was sizable, with a very good, crust with a great light crispness on the outside and a soft chew inside. There was more spice and peppery heat than I expected, but it was very enjoyable and welcome. The garlic dipping sauce was thick and very flavorful, so start with a small bit! This was a great introduction to Apna and I'm looking forward to trying more of the pizzas and the toppings - especially the Indian style toppings like ginger and coriander, which sound super exciting! read more
