I have been to this establishment every week for over 5 years. I loved bringing my 3 young children, husband and friends here. However, today I came here with my elderly, injured mother and my young daughter. A young Brazilian cashier with dark, curly hair spoke so disrespectfully to my mother! When I asked her to show some respect to elders (and injured elders at that), she refused to serve us and take our money. What kind of cashier speaks ill to their customers and refuses to take their money!? I feel really badly for the owner of Brazilian Bakery, because he hired a cashier who refuses to sell to his customer. She literally turned our $30 away. And only because I asked her to show some respect to my elderly mother. I was flabbergasted! I asked what is the problem? She said, "The only problem here is your annoying, stupid mother." Inside I wanted to punch her in the face, but because I have class and was raised better, I told her that she is what she called my mother! I promised her that I will inform her manager and other patrons about her awful customer service and disrespect. If you are Brazilian and crave Brazilian food, go to "By Brazil" or the cafe around the corner (Americas). Not only is the food there spectacular, their staff is so respectful and warm, and they never refuse to take your money! Be advised my fellow Brazilian neighbors!

There was a self-serve area for customers to get rice, beans, and other items. Behind the counter, there was a display with pastries and another with empanadas. I ordered one chicken and a ham and cheese. I also ordered two churros. Once I saw how cheap they were, I asked to add two more. I was accidentally charged for two more empanadas. I told the lady behind the register what happened and she denied that I was charged incorrectly and I had to explain a couple of times before someone else told her exactly what I already told her and she finally fixed it. Overall, I don't think I would go back to this particular location. The empanadas were good but the churros were cold and the customer service wasn't great.

Atmosphere 5/5 Wait staff 4/5 Salad bar 3.5/5 Everything was kept appealing. The protien offerings were seafood salad, lox, and sliced processed meats. The seafood salad was just OK. No pineapple, bacon, or chimchuri. The Cesar salad consisted of lettuce, parm cheese, and croutons. I suspect the dressing was full of thickeners and fillers with minimal real ingredients. Meats 2/5 Its been about a year since our last visit. Only 2 beef servers hit our table in our 45 minutes of dinning, the teeniest tiniest lamb chops twice, really small chicken wings once, and pineapple on scewers (what?? why? not on the salad bar?). No high end meat cuts or fish. The meats were salty with dull flavor. A glass of wine was skimpy. Mixed drinks - a full glass of ice to cut down on actual volume and we suspect house alcohol was watered down. No lobster bisque soup -which my favorite staple. .

The buffet is decent, the steak cuts are arlight - the cook and temperature of the meats is inconsistent. The biggest thing I have is that they always seem to skip us with the good cuts like lamb chops. The drinks are really good and the staff is very friendly. Finally, I don't like the fact that the manager always has to come when we use gift cards that we bought from Costco or were gifted to us.

When we were being brought to our seats, I noticed, toward the front of the restaurant, there were plenty of open tables but we were led all the way to the back. I had a funny feeling we wouldn't be greeted with random options of meat. The choices at the Salad Bar were less than usual. Made reservations 6 weeks in advance and we were brought all the way to the absolute back end of the restaurant. We very rarely saw a gaucho and our server had to ask us a few times what we were looking for to get a gaucho to come to the back of the restaurant. Even after all of that, the choices offered to us were very slim. the first thing I asked for was leg of lamb. By the time they got to us with the leg of lamb, it was nearly picked to the bone. Had to ask for a filet mignon and bacon wrapped filet. The bacon-wrapped filet was not a good cut of meat, had a lot of gristle in it, very hard to chew. The best two types of meat we had were the spicy sirloin and the flank steak. The flank steak nearly melted in my mouth. The filet mignon servings didn't taste like filet mignon at all. Most common filet mignon servings are 6-8 oz of meat and the servings provided to us were barely 2 oz in size and well overcooked. Not exactly sure what happened but they were not up to par that night. The end bill being close to $200 for two people (no drinks, two desserts) was a bit much. May still visit here on certain special occasions but it will not be a regular occasion. Still better than the experience we had at Fogo de Chao in National Harbor but the service was lacking pretty badly. This was a miss on their usual approach to satisfying their patrons. Again, the place was packed but putting people who made reservations 6 weeks early all the way at the back of the restaurant, literally within 5 steps of the back door, felt like a slap in the face to someone who wants to enjoy the full experience. The Manager never visited our table to check with us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves. I miss the Texas de Brazil that was in Washington, DC. They definitely showed everyone that they were the best in the area until the Pandemic.

The service was excellent and accommodating. I was impressed because I know large groups can be difficult to wait on, so was very pleased with the service and how quick they were to get our orders in and us served. We ordered a variety of appetizers, such as the the empanadas, calamari, and garlic shrimp. My favorite items were the empanadas and calamari, which were extra tasty with the accompanying sauces. We also ordered a variety of grilled meats, including the two large Parrillada meat platters and picanha . The accompanying sides we tried were the fries, cheese rice, fried yucca, and plantains. I really liked the plantains, but the cheese rice was not was I expected. It was more like grits than cheesy rice. The meats were cooked to how we requested it, and of course tastes especially good with the sauces. My favorite cuts were the strip steak, beef rib, and picanha. I didn't really care for the sweet breads, but that is a personal preference. Value wise, the Parrillada platters could easily feed 4 - 5 people, so we had plenty of leftovers. I would definitely recommend checking out La Estancia if you enjoy grilled meats!

They were not very busy when we arrived but remained attentive during our entire visit. The food was fresh, well-seasoned, and delicious. We got a parrillada mixta, which means mixed grilled meats. The restaurant is nicely decorated, music is playing, and there is a bar. It would be a great hang-out spot.

I overheard another server telling the table next to us that the restaurant was not making mac and cheese until 4pm for dinner- so there would be no Mac and cheese for brunch. The customer was upset- and so were we. We definitely love trying Mac and cheese from different locations- we love cheese!! That was upsetting, especially when you're paying a nice amount of money. It seemed like the rest of the food was in stock so we leaned on that. The omelette station was great! They had a lot of variety and the chef was nice. She spoke to me in Spanish so I spruced up on my skills !! I did need to ask her for a plate because the plates were missing from the buffet and I wasn't sure where to find them. Finally someone from the staff brought plates- so I was in business! They had a hot bar on the wall near the omelette station which included fried chicken, bacon, eggs, potatoes, caramelized bananas, I might be missing something- it was pretty good and they kept it stocked most of the time. Made to order was shrimp and grits (not great or flavorful in my opinion) but the waffles were okay. The staff walked around with different cuts of meat and pineapple and shaved it off for us to try. I enjoyed the pineapple and the chicken wrapped in bacon... I just unwrapped it. I don't eat beef or pork, so yeah. They also had skirt steak and another type of pork. Babe tried all the meat and it looked like he enjoyed it, but he didn't really go back for seconds when they came around again. I thought it was good, but not excellent. I was just looking for something more for the experience. Then gentleman busser did a great job of clearing the plates and glasses to ensure we had space at the table and it looks neat and clean so we could continue to enjoy our food. The cold bar has a LOT of variety! But some of the food looked a little dried out like it's been left up there for a while. I knew it couldn't have been there for too long because brunch had only been open for about two hours prior to us arriving. Maybe pairing foods with the right environment to make them look and taste their best for a Buffet would make it look more appealing (example: the mussels- looked really dry, and I wanted to try them but it didn't look appetizing. Maybe put them in a sauce so they can look more appealing)... they might have tasted good but they looked old so I didn't try them. All the drinks were really good so that is def a win!! We tried the strawberry mimosa and the peach Bellini! Our server Chiquera did a wonderful job! She was super polite and attentive... she is the reason I would return to the restaurant. She also gave great suggestions! She gave me her specialty blueberry mojito - and it was fresh and just delicious! I think if the menu was reworked a bit to give the buffet food a fair chance and actually having what is on the menu available (Mac and cheese).. this place could do even better!
