I had their steak & cheese today with xtra sauce - 0 complaints from me. The meat is not only plentiful but seasoned so good! I have been eating here since 1985, I used to deliver pizzas for previous owners in 1999. I buy a veal parm every week. Went in today and they burned the sub that I waited 20 minutes for and I asked to have the burned sub for my dog to eat. They threw it in the trash instead after screwing up and wasting my time. Ill never go back again. Look at my reives I give a lot of 3 and I stars, so when give a 1 star rating I promise they suck. I went to Kensington Pizza and got one of their subs which is $2 cheaper and excellent service, told the owner about my experience and had bo interest in doing anything to make it right, didnt even offer me a free bottle of water even! I can't imagine they will be around much longer. Highly recommend going elsewhere! read more

Great service and tasty pizza. They were incredibly polite and patient on the phone, describing the menu to me as the link to the menu on Yelp is not correct. I'm picky about pizza being from the Philly burbs. BONUS! They also offer a military discount which is extremely awesome. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is because they were kinda skimpy with the sauce, cheese and toppings (more so the toppings than anything else). Been a customer for 15 years. Get an online order delivered tonight without one of the entrees. I called, the person said l oh, we don't have cheeseburgers tonight". We have been eating at or from manny's forever. The pizza is really good but I love the steak and cheese sub and crispy fries that you can get seasoned or salted. My husband is a huge fan of the souvlaki and if I want a real dinner I get the chicken parm meal. At some point they changed their Italian dressing and I am not a fan of the one they use now, it is too spicy. The baklava is super tasty too for a nice dessert. You can get soda by the bottle or the soda machine. Not sure if there is seating yet bc of covid but there used to be. If you haven't tried them yet, you just have to. They have also been amazingly supportive of our local schools by holding fundraisers and donating a portion of proceeds to local elementary, middle and high schools. read more

This place is in a convenience store parking lot and didn't look like much, but we were hungry. The cheese steak was amazing. The bun was nice and soft inside with a crispy crust. The steak was tender and delicious. And the fresh mint lemonade is so addictive. read more

This is specific to Manny's chicken souvlaki platter and eat-in dining experience. It has been several years since I have gotten food from Manny's, and at least a decade since eating in. Both were awesome on a 10/18/2022 visit. The platter came with a salad and fries, always get old bay fries. The chicken souvlaki came on a toasted pita and was overflowing with a good mix of chicken, lettuce, etc.. It also came in a clear recyclable clam shell container (kudos for that change). The place appears to be under new management the interior has definitely changed and there is more, seating capacity (albeit more efficient and compact) than ever before. I look forward to revisit thier pizza and sub offerings. I come from the Philly suburbs and have very high standards and expectations. read more

Gyro platter was very dry and unbalanced. Such little tzatiki sauce used and a naan that was cold and thick. Steak and cheese ribeye was super dry and really disappointing. Such little cheese combined with such dry tiny pieces of meat overwhelmed with dry vegetables and cold naan. Avoid at all costs. read more

The pizza and the fries are okay but everything tasted like rancid oil, that however, was forgivable. The biggest problem was the 5$ cannolis. I got two, one for me and one for my boyfriend. They were legitimately disgusting. The shell was soft which is not great considering the cost but worse, the cannolis were filled with bad cheap tasting frosting, I swear to god there was no ricotta cheese in them. Manny's food is always consistently good. What I would like to comment on is there approach to the COVID crisis. I found that they are doing a great job. The staff were wearing gloves and were very mindful helping all maintain social distancing. We ordered and paid over the phone, so this was a cinch. They had napkins outside and inside to help with handling door handles and pens. Unbeknownst to them. I observed them sanitize the counter and door handles after I left. They did this immediately after another customer. It is these extra precautions they took that make me feel comfortable ordering from them again during this crisis. read more

Got the Hawaiin Pizza and Mozzarella sticks as a delivery order and they were both very yummy. The food arrived in about 40 minutes which is exactly how long they said it would take. The Hawaiin pizza dough was more flaky than bready which I found very addicting and it was topped with a very stretchy and delicious cheese. The ham was diced finely and there were lots of pineapples studded into our pie. I wish it had a little bit more tomato sauce but it was still great! The mozzarella sticks had a thick and delicious breading and they were filled with a liberal amount of cheese. I would definitely order these again! I think we got about 6 sticks. This sort of dependable mediocrity may work if drunk, but there is nothing memorable. When ordering from a local restaurant, good or bad, at least you're exploring. Which brings me to Manny's Pizza & Sub Shop. In a sea of Asian and Central American cuisine, I was happy to finally find a pizzeria that delivers to my area. They did not disappoint. Even better, they are not a one-note pizza place. You can also order sandwiches or specialty plates like Spaghetti, Veal Parmesan, or Manicotti. The pizzas themselves are contradictory to most of my pizza experiences. They are good when fresh, but are amazing when reheated. There seems to be only one thickness of crust: medium. This is okay though; the crust is not too moist or dry. and makes for a great marinara and cheese delivery system. We ordered the pizza, but we're going back for more Gyros. The Gyro meat is succulent, but crisp around the edges. The tzaziki sauce was excellent, neither too runny or congealed, and the fries were addictive. Even better, the customer service was good and the delivery time was far faster than anticipated. I ordered on a Thursday night, expecting a forty-five minute delivery time. The food arrived twenty-three minutes after ordering. Is it equal to gourmet pizza? Not in the least. But then, that is not the point. It is delicious food, delivered quickly. Without the snob factor, this is just below middle of the road pizza if you compare it to the mainstream chains-- Little Caesar's comes to mind as the closest match.
