    Bean and Cheese Burrito
    Marleen M.

I've been coming to El Amigo for over 30 years and I would just like to say "If it's not broke, don't fix it". I've ordered the same thing every time I come and it's usually always on par. I've not been in a couple years since I've moved so far and I happened to be in the neighborhood so I went. They've changed everything. The beans, the rice, the amount of cheese in the burrito... just all different and not in a good way. I wish they would have just stayed with the old recipes. It still looks the same inside which is nice but service was just so/so. I don't know that I'd be back.

We've been coming to this place for 2 years . The food is tasty and fresh, the restaurant is clean which is a plus. We come here for the breakfast burritos and flautas, yum!

    2 crunch taco plate $13.45
    Carrie A.

Got a crunchy taco plate with beans and rice, no drink, and was surprised at the price, I mean, I guess prices have gone up everywhere but for 2 tacos, rice and beans it was $13.45 for a fast food restaurant. The quality was good, the chicken didn't have enough flavor, but the crunch was what I was craving.

Pleasantly surprised at how good the meal was. Just enough for lunch, and the price was just right. Hard shell taco beef, beef taquitos, bean and cheese burrito and a drink for under 11$ See ya soon!

VIEWERS BEWARE !!!!!! this mexican food is absolutely terrible, if you want food worse then taco bell... this your spot. I had 10 inch hair in my rice and on top of that half the rice was stale/hair. The taco meat is microwaved too, you can tell from how it all stuck together. charging 5$ per taco plus a 1$ fee to add condiments is terrible. Viewers you might as well go to downtown glendora and go to the mexican spot Ramons which is cheaper and an actually restaurant.

I like this place the chili relleno burrito is really good. Just stay away from the carne asada burrito every bite I had to spit out the beef it was like chewing on rubber.

It's been on my dine at list for a while now. It's located at the Route 66 Promenade shopping center on Foothill Blvd and Lone Hill Ave in Glendora. Finding parking was easy. They weren't super busy. I was greeted upon entry. Got seated right away. Ambiance was quaint and romantic with lovely art on the wall. I only wanted tacos so went straight to the Taco Tuesday section of the menu. Btw, colorful menu with good selections. Three tacos for $6.99. Fish tacos baja-style was $3.99 each. I was down for all of them. Got a set of three tacos... one carnitas, one shredded chicken, and one grilled veggies plus 3 fish tacos. Yes, it was 6 pack for me. Lady staff was friendly, nice, and hospitable. Thank you ladies! All tacos were DELICIOUSLY AMAZING! Carnitas were flavorful. Shredded chicken was plentiful. Grilled veggies had great crunch... carrots were amazing! One small gripe, they were tiny tacos... wished they were bigger. Side of salsa for the tacos was perfect in taste... wished it was a full cup and not half. As for the fish tacos, superb at its best! Good size baja fish filet with fresh veggies drizzled with tasty chipotle sauce on a super thin and crispy tortilla. It was so good I had to order 5 more fish tacos to-go. You bet I did. I wanted my daughters to try them. I will return for more fish tacos if nothing else. Btw, guava agua frescas was not the greatest... it was tasteless guava to say the least. Highly recommend for Taco Tuesday visitors! Btw, Taco Tuesday orders do not come with complimentary chips and salsa which was surprising to me. How much are they saving with a handful of chips? Come on, hence, 4 stars!

But what happened next was unbelievable. While I was on the phone explaining that I did place the order and had proof, the chef actually said, "Well, anyone could call and say they placed an order." The audacity. Instead of listening, instead of checking, instead of even pretending to care, I was basically accused of making the whole thing up. And here's the kicker: after all that attitude, all that dismissiveness, all that unnecessary back‑and‑forth, the order ticket suddenly appeared. Miraculously. I still picked up the tamales because it was Christmas and I didn't have time for more chaos, but the damage was done. The situation could have been handled with basic respect and professionalism. Instead, it was handled with suspicion and rudeness. We never went back and honestly, that says everything.

Looks are deceiving from the outside. The decor is colorful and vibrant. It has a Ranch style/Western theme. The interior has seating along the windows, an open outdoor patio with tables/umbrellas. A separate banquet room is in the back, easy access from the rear parking lot for your private party. Here you can enjoy sports games on the TVs and drinks from the bar setup in this room. On July 18th, I was going to a picnic and came by to buy the tapas platter. There was beef empanadas in the order, no substitutions allowed, so I ordered ala carte instead. We had a Chicken Quesadilla (with sour cream and salsa), Shrimp Taquitos (with guacamole), and diced potatoes tossed in a mild red sauce and oven roasted Papas Bravado). I'm so glad, I live nearby so I can drop by for more of these Shrimp Taquitos and try other items from the menu. There are three businesses all clustered together, each with a separate entrance, so I ended up accidentally parking in a private doctor's office lot and was told to leave. Eventually, I found the small parking lot with just four or five spaces so if it gets busy, it might be tough. But once I got inside, it was worth it! I entered from the back door, which passes through the restrooms on the left and the kitchen on the right, leading to a cute seating area. It's small but super cozy, with a lovely bar filled with lemons, napkins, and lots of hot sauces at each table: at least seven or eight types! But the real star here is the food. The tacos are absolutely incredible! fresh and full of flavor. I ordered three: carne asada, fish, and shrimp. The fish and shrimp both have the option to be fried or grilled, so I went with fried, and they were fantastic. The flour tortillas were perfect, and I also got a pineapple agua fresca. it was ice cold and so refreshing. The price was really reasonable, and I'm honestly surprised this place isn't more popular. I can see it being a hit so, definitely, I'll be coming back soon!

The drinks were very well made and actually nice and strong! I appreciate that because so many places serve drinks that taste watered down, and that definitely wasn't our experience here. The restaurant itself is really cute and has some great signs and backgrounds for pictures. We got some really nice group photos for our social media, and one of the employees even volunteered to take a picture for us so we could all be in it, which was really sweet. It was crispy enough to keep you wanting more. The flavor wasn't too fishy and it was accompanied by some tasty dipping sauces. Would definitely order again. Molcajete: 4/5 A favorite at our table that was filled with so many protein options and a nice salsa to pair with. We loved the chicken, chorizo, and the queso!! The only reason it got a 4/5 was because the steak was waaaay too salty which made it hard to enjoy. The shrimp was a nice touch, also not too fishy and the bacon paired nicely. You can definitely taste a variety of flavors and it's also a big enough portion to share! Comes with beans and rice which we ended up splitting with our kiddos. Jamaica: 5/5 We loved the Jamaica here and it tastes very traditional. It doesn't taste like it's made from powder and comes in a huge glass cup. Not too sweet and the bold flavor of the hibiscus makes it hard to stop drinking! Loved it. Overall, a great place to dine in for celebrations or just for a nice dinner. Would definitely recommend if you're nearby. I hope to come back soon.

I ordered the 2 chicken taquitos with a side of guacamole. They were tasty! They're not your typical taquitos..the shell is much thinner, almost like an egg roll wrapper, which gave them a different texture that I actually liked. My only thought was the value. The two taquitos were almost $10, and for that price I think adding a third taquito would make the portion feel a little more in line with the rest of the menu. The 3-taco combo was around the same price and included rice, beans, and a drink, so it just felt like the better value.
