While I was grabbing my food from this establishment several days ago, I asked if they had any special offers and they weren't offering any at the moment. They currently don't have happy hour. They also do not allow pets in their establishment UNLESS it's a service animal. Parking: The parking lot for this establishment is located behind the building. It is a small parking lot, but it never gets full. So you should have no problems finding a parking spot. Each spot is pretty big and wide. Food: I ordered the Apollo breakfast special #1, which contains 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausage, home fried potatoes, and two slices of toast. I chose to have my 2 eggs scrambled. Classic and yummy eggs. My two slices of bacon were very crispy. My two sausage links were very juicy and flavorful. My home fried potatoes were cooked with onions. This had so much flavor to it. It made the potatoes taste really delicious. The home fried potatoes were very crispy too. The two slices of toast came toasted, and I was given two jams. Overall, this was such a great breakfast. You can't go wrong with a classic and easy breakfast. Staff: The staff here are very friendly and kind. I have been coming here since high school. I love supporting mom and pop places. Sometimes if you eliminate all expectations of ambiance, decor and super friendly service, you discover a time capsule of a gem. Apollo looks like it's been here for decades, and the furniture shows it. The interior is in need of a complete makeover. I envision this is what an old roadside diner may look like. Food is ordered at the counter. It doesn't look like there's service, as they will call out your order when it's ready. We had a double cheeseburger, an avocado bacon cheeseburger and a hamburger. Looks like they're cooked over an open flame and for the price, they're pretty big. They're perfectly seasoned and as another review said, these are the classic old school burgers. The fries were hot and crispy and went well with the burgers. I really enjoyed the food and will go back when the burger craving hits. I came here to check it out and show support after reading that it's Taiwanese-owned. Today is my second visit in one week. The owner is not very friendly, to me. Both times, he doesn't make eye contact with me, and doesn't make any effort in interacting with me. He did offer my two young children lollipops though, "to keep them quiet/busy" he said. As I'm sitting here waiting for my food, he's having quite lively conversations with a couple customers - I'm guessing they must be regulars. I've been wanting to try this burger joint for years and was finally in the area during late afternoon. I ordered a hamburger with no pickles and watched the chef cook it fresh in front of me. This burger was exactly what I was expecting and looking for. It was a classic old school hamburger - sesame bun, lots of lettuce, few tomato slices, flat beef patty, raw onions, and sauce. It was very delicious and really did remind me of the times when this was the standard hamburger, without all the varieties. The size of the hamburger was pretty big too, not like the shrunken size you get from other chains. Overall, very much worth giving a 5 star for the hamburger. I order the: burger special; burger, fries, drink. premade lettuce is wilting. cheese isn't melted, burger is barely warm $7.99 ($8.74 after tax) i felt like making some changes to my order, i wanted a cheese burger and chili cheese fries. so i tell the guy, and he starts tapping away at the register he adds $1 for cheese, except the menu price of a hamburger is $4.99, cheeseburger is $5.49. so why add $1 instead of $.50 cents? $8.99 ($9.84 after tax) then i want chili fries, he taps again, the price goes to $11.16 ($12.23 after tax) $2.18 more, except the price of fries is $3.25, chili fries is $4.25, why add $2 instead of $1? this time the chili was flavorless and there was only a tiny amount over my fries $11.17 ($12.23 after tax) At $7.99, in 2024, it's a not a bargain. In n out serves the #3, which is the same thing, except the meat is fresh, the fries are fresh. it tastes amazing, for 15 cents more. here, nothing is fresh, the meat is frozen, everything is premade or store bought. you get a side of the owner frowning at you or looking frustrated when you ask simple questions any changes to your order or special and he will randomly add cost to your order maybe in n out isn't a fair example, they have the economies of scale advantage, but it's a choice about a mile away and should be considered the habit is a few dollars pricier, but the taste and quality are well worth it overall, the base price is barely ok, and thats why you come here, because it's cheap. but the customer service and quality do not deserve return visits. so many better tasting places nearby with better customer service for just a little more read more

Which is exactly what my kiddo eats, minus the pickle. The zucchini is on the juicy side, but I wish it would be thicker and longer. Apollo is another one of those businesses I've passed by numerous times while driving on Las Tunas, but never tried. I've really been missing out on some delicious burgers! Stuck on where to eat, I remembered looking at Apollo when I was walking to Ralphs on Las Tunas from City Hall, so I made the drive over, parked in the free parking lot behind the stores off of Camellia Ave, and ordered some food for dinner at home. There's quite a bit of options, but their sign for the triple cheeseburger ($6.90) just spoke to me. I ordered it with grilled onions, but forgot to ask if it had pickles, so I ended up with pickles in my burger too (gotta be more aware next time). I also added in a large order of onion rings ($4.90). The triple cheeseburger is well worth the price. It's a HEFTY burger! The weight of the burger was really no joke. BF was very impressed with it and enjoyed it a lot more than his usual 3x3 order from In-N-Out. The taste of it was very fresh and delectable. We're definitely keeping it on our future orders!
