Food: We really loved their "Devils on Horseback" which were their bacon covered dates. We also really liked their crab rangoon!! The strawberry habanero jelly that came with it was so tasty! It was sweet, but had a definite kick from the habanero at the back of the throat. Unfortunately, they were out of the deviled eggs that we wanted to try. Drinks: We ordered the Passion Symphony (super refreshing), the Sacre Bleu (even more refreshing), the Flaming Youth (super sweet, but wouldn't recommend if you don't want a dessert for a drink), and an earl grey old fashion. My boyfriend wanted to try the chai tea OF, but they were out of that, so the barista substituted it with earl grey. Service: The baristas were nice, but the service was kind of slow for both food and drinks. Ambiance: Very chill! I liked that everyone was very casual. The place itself was small and definitely felt like a speakeasy! Overall good place, just be prepared to wait a bit if it's pretty full. Make sure to go on their website to check how to get a reservation.
Fun little speakeasy in Old Town Temecula! They are a pretty small spot so best to call to make a reservation. They are located within a restaurant, Devilicious, so pretty easy to find. The bartenders are really nice and friendly and will find a drink that fits your palette. They even made a different drink when we didn't like one! I got the S'Mores drink and it was fun to watch them smoke the marshmallow. They also serve small plates here too that are great for sharing!
First time visiting a speakeasy, and I can understand the popularity. The bar is conveniently located behind a wall by the register. My friends and I spontaneously decided to visit here without knowing it was a speakeasy nor that reservations are recommended, but the staff here were very accommodating and allowed us to enter as walk-ins after waiting around 30 minutes. The cocktail menu is fairly moderate with a brief description of each drink along with a history of how speakeasies came to be/how Apparition Room was founded. Our bartender Saus? (I apologize if I spelled it wrong) he told us his name is like hot sauce, was very fun to converse with and the drinks here were great. Definitely worth checking out if you are in the area.
Very small so I wouldn't want to go at peak hours but the vibe is cool and dark. I don't really like the animals on the walls but I like the seating and tucked away corner rooms. Bar staff were friendly and patient. They were out of the only good food options though. So we just got one drink- the Campfire Sour. It's a fun experience. They roast the marshmallow in front of you at the bar and use the smoke from the marshmallow to coat the cup before filling it. It did have a slight marshmallow flavor and best of all, you get to eat the roasted marshmallow too!
Great drinks and atmosphere. Small, hidden location so not good for large groups. Definitely a great place to catch up and talk while enjoying a wide variety of delicious drinks!!
My friend who brought me and my fiancé together was visiting again and we went out to old town Temecula Saturday night and after dinner at baileys, I told them about this place as I had been here once before and knew how awesome it was. And man, was she impressed. My fiancé had never been here either and he liked it. The drinks were amazing as I remember. I love the old 20's outfits with the arm cuffs and everything. It's so cool. The decor is amazing! You gotta check this out!
This is a fun little speakeasy located inside of Devilicious. I've been a handful of times now with different friends and we've all had a nice experience at each visit. The most recent was a few weeks before Christmas when my girlfriends and I wanted to get festive Christmas cocktails. We each tried something different and they were all pretty tasty. Their regular cocktail menu is pretty good, too. I'm unsure if they're still on the menu, but my friend and I once had the bacon-wrapped dates which were absolutely delicious. It's a fun place to stop in if you have time!
Everyone here is so attentive and kind. They're very knowledgeable and know their stuff especially whenever I ask off menu items. It can get pretty busy but they're always offering a smile and wonderful customer service, creating each visit a nice experience. One of the couple speakeasies in Old Town Temecula. Fun 1920s atmosphere. Easy entrance through Devilicious, although it isn't so secret. Make sure to make reservations beforehand. You have to text a number and work out the details with someone to make the reservation. Drinks are some of the best I've ever had. I ordered a gin drink off the menu but my friend had a custom-made one from the bartender and it was amazing. They asked for her likes and dislikes and made her a floral vodka drink - I had a sip and it tasted like cotton candy. She said it was the best drink she's ever had. They also have a small menu for food but it's more like small appetizers. We ordered some mushrooms and it was an extremely small portion so I recommend getting your food elsewhere. Area itself is very small. If it's packed, you'll have people seated right next to you and behind you. Two hour max with reservation.

Boy, does it pain me to write this review. I had looked forward to visiting this Old Town speakeasy since we moved to Temecula over two years ago, and fully expected to love this place. Friends got 7pm reservations on a Sunday night (and were instructed that we had to be out by 9pm), and we entered through that "secret door" at the Devilicious hostess station. Our friends were bummed that we couldn't sit at the bar and watch the drinks being made but frankly, I thought the room where we were seated off the main bar area was cozier with sofas and comfy chairs. Every seat at the crowded bar was taken and while that would be great for just two people, I thought our seating was much better (and quieter) for two couples to be able to enjoy cocktails and converse. On to the drinks! Kassidy was mixing at the bar. Although our server Ryan seemed rushed, he did give some whiskey guidance and we ordered a Buffalo Trace whiskey tasting to start. Smoked old-fashioneds were out as we were told their "smoker was broken". I ordered an Aviation, which should be a gorgeous pale purple from the crème de violette. Instead, mine was served barely cold, with no garnish, and green in color! It was clearly not an Aviation, which would have been fine had it been more chilled. And please, you're a speakeasy - all cocktails should be garnished! We probably would have ordered some small bites, but Ryan was quite busy and never asked. With wait times for the whiskey tasting and our drinks, there was no time for food or another round. Last call came at 8:10 for their 9pm close. Overall, I was sadly underwhelmed by the Apparition Room. While I'd love to try it again to see if it was just a bad night, I'd definitely opt for the fairly new "36522 Distillery at Oak Mountain" if you want the speakeasy experience. We visited recently and were totally wowed by the ambiance, service and cocktails (all made with their own distilled spirits!)
This was a cool place to come to. The drinks were good and once we were seated the service was great. Prior to that we did not have a reservation and had checked in and were told they were going to let the bartenders catch up on making the drinks for those already sitting inside. We were waiting by the bench as instructed but another couple that was a walk up were seated immediately. The Christmas decorations were really cool and their holiday drinks were served in mugs that matched the drink. They weren't able to do any substitutions to any of the holiday drinks but the bartender was able to make a drink similar with my drink of choice.
I love speakeasy bars!!! What a cool spot for a speakeasy. Inside a sandwich type of joint, the speakeasy is behind the host desk. Really cool! We had some drinks and a couple apps. The service was good, bartenders were knowledgeable, and they have the biggest Green Chartreuse bottle I've ever seen!!
I am a huge fan of Speakeasy Bars having lived in the Far East, where you can experience some really elaborate and cleverly disguised or hidden establishments requiring a special knock, key, code word and would challenge James Bond (007) to find. And not found on Yelp (smile). The Apparition Room was nowhere on that level, but once inside I was totally impressed with the decor and atmosphere at first glance. Dimly lit with library table lamps; a hunter's den motif; and comfortable seating. The huge long bar was very inviting, and you will discover two additional seating areas for small groups to the left and right of the entrance. The overall atmosphere was not to my liking because the music was too up-beat and loud for a Speakeasy; and contributed to loud discussions by the staff and the patrons. Not your typical chill spot! The staff were very pleasant, and extremely talented in mixology! Having tried all four versions of their Old Fashions prepared by two different personnel brought a huge smile to my face. They make great variations of the classic "Old Fashion". In addition to beverages; tried the Crab Dip, and the Bacon Wrapped Dates; and they were tasty, but the dip was not very crabby but paired well with the beverages. My three star rating is based on the Sports Bar atmosphere; and having to exit the Speakeasy to access the restrooms in the rear of the adjacent restaurant. read more
We are long time fans of Devilicious and now we are huge fans of their Apparition Room. An intimate speakeasy type bar with limited seating, reservations highly recommended. It's easy, just text your date, time and number of guests. I love the decor, a little 20's style, could use some 20's music. That's just me though. Now, on to the cocktails. So many to choose from. I love the menu that has descriptions of the drinks. The bartenders are pretty creative, so if you have a spirit you prefer they can whip you up a unique tasty libation. My personal favorite is the Tommy Gun. But the Campfire Sour is a close second. Plus I get to eat the toasted marshmallow. Trust me, just order it if you like a good whiskey sour. Now, back to the bartenders. They are amazing. Very knowledgeable, creative and friendly. They put the cherry on top of a fun experience. Of course we will be back again and again. read more

The cocktails here are so cool each one is totally Instagram and yelp worthy! I love the uniqueness of each one and the flavors of each one you can tell they put time and effort into it. The food was delicious the lamb lollipops were delicious and so is the chimichurri. This is such a cool cocktail bar all the decorations, such a cool vibe. And our mixologist was top-tier he did such a great job on every drink. read more

Loved this place! Great ambiance with amazing decor. The black wallpaper, copper distiller, and green table lights made it feel like a true speakeasy. They have a great selection of whiskey and their house drinks were pretty good as well. The bartenders were friendly and informative and it wasn't too busy which was nice. We did make a reservation though after many recommendations to do so. Will definitely be coming back. read more

I wouldn't say this place is an expensive by any means however you pay for what you get. I love the ambience. Eric and Sauce are some of my favorite bartenders there. Every time my sister and I have gone in we give them a taste preference of what we're craving and they create a tasty little treat we've never been disappointed. Secondly, the food is awesome! Chef is on point. I love the bacon wrap dates!!!! I love the devil days, I love the lamb lollipops. & a few others... noms!!! Big big fan of the ApparitionRoom read more

Got hooked on speakeasy bars. Decided to try my local one. It's been a really good experience thanks to our bartender. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and funny too. He also made us a cocktail that wasn't on the menu. My chai tea old fashioned was one of the best ones I ever had! Will be coming back for more. read more

Great vibe and a very small speakeasy. Gave a prohibition feel for sure and we loved that you had to use a secret door to get in! The 2 folks working at the bar were super friendly and provided great recommendations for our drinks. It wasn't too dark inside the speakeasy....at least not as dark as we've experienced at others. I had a vodka martini and my husband ordered a whiskey drink. One of the other parties in the bar at the same time ordered a smoked old fashion and my husband immediately had FOMO as it looked amazing and they said it tasted fantastic. Would definitely recommend this place for a fun date night experience! Make sure you make reservations though!! read more

My wife and I have been twice and always have a good time in the Apparition room. The drinks have a unique, old-fashioned ambiance, and depending on the bartender, you might learn the history and story of the drink. It's a small venue suited best for a couple's date or a small gathering. It's a nice place to hang out and experience some "Old" Town vibes. read more

What an absolutely incredible experience! This is by far my new favorite bar. The only criticism is that it's an hour drive from me. The food and drinks are spectacular and delicious, the service impeccable, mixologists utterly talented, knowledgeable, and so much fun. If ever you're in town, check this place out. We stopped by on a recommendation and let me tell you, 100% would recommend to others as well! The hostess were really nice and were able to get my two friends and I in without a wait. The door was hidden in plain sight which I loved!! I've been to several speakeasy's and although the vibe is there, the hidden entrance is always something that's lacked on. Once inside, the bartenders were super nice and checking in with us about the most popular drinks and answering any questions we had about the drinks. The bar space was long with several separate smaller rooms for groups which added to the speakeasy vibe. The drinks, BOMBBBBBB definitely give you a bang for you money and the drinks are mixed so well! read more
Came here for my bday for a short time. We only got one drink, but it was delicious! Very strong, but nicely balanced whiskey sour! I tried all my friends drinks and they were equally good. I would definitely go back and hopefully spend some more time there. It is a tiny place and fills up quickly so make sure you make a reservation. I like how they have other seating areas (The Annex and the Pit) other than the bar. The staff was very attentive as well. read more

My friend and I came here for a little girls night out. The entrance is located inside Devilicious. Check in with the host and they will escort you through the "secret door". We came on a Tuesday at 5pm and we were seated immediately but it wasn't crowded yet. I have heard from another friend that she had to wait almost an hour on a weekend. So I highly recommend on making a reservation. There is a number on their website that you can text to make a reservation. The room was nicely decorated for Christmas time. Christmas trees displayed, lights hanging from the ceiling and around the bar, just made it feel festive and magical. For drinks, I ordered the Grandma got run over by a T-Rex. It had vodka, Orange liqueur, gentian aperitif, aloe vera, spiced pomegranate, grapefruit mix, and aromatic bitters. The drink was delicious, tropical, refreshing and very strong. I felt the room spinning after a few sips! The cup the drink comes in is absolutely adorable too! My friend ordered the Christmas Cricket. Her drink was tiny but very strong. I took a little sip and I liked it but sadly she wasn't a huge fan of it. So because our drinks were so strong we needed food in our belly's. I ordered the JT Steak frites. I was expecting something like carne asada fries but it was just a ton of fries with a piece of steak on the side. The meat was very juicy, tender and flavorful and you get a lot of fries but $32 still seemed a bit steep. Luckily I enjoyed it but I wouldn't get it again. My friend ordered the cream cheese rangoons, it has a bit of a spicy kick to it at the end but beside that it was okay. Best to eat before coming here. Drinks are definitely two thumbs up! Enjoyed fantastic whiskey cocktails! But definitely there are more craft cocktails to enjoy other than whiskey/bourbon based cocktails as they have an expansive menu that will not disappoint. Made reservations and got confirmation via text along with the instructions. The place is not that big so reservation is a must. Easy check-in at Devilicious. Then you are escorted into the Appariition room. Plenty of parking nearby. Must check out place in the heart of Old Town Temecula. read more

Happens Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 2-5pm. No reservations need and Signature Cocktail menu are discounted.
I see the door behind the bar....... my question is, do we just walk on in behind the bar and go thru the door? Or is there access thru the passage way where the bathroom is?
You have to have reservations but the door is right behind the hostess table.
