This spot was really just okay for me. We were excited to check out a speakeasy close to where we had dinner for an after dinner cocktail but it was just alright. I teeter back and forth from giving it 3 or 4 stars but nothing was all that memorable about our experience. We did have a reservation and there were 5 of us total but the service was pretty slow and they ended up forgetting some of our drinks as well. We probably would have ended up staying for another round but it was hard to even get a server over to order or get the check. It was a Friday night so I will give them that and this is small spot so I wouldn't advise it for a big group situation but maybe just for a couple for a drink would be better. read more

We walked up to the hostess on a Friday night around 10 and she said that she can text us if there are any open spots because at the time it was completely full, reservations only. We decided we would take the chance and put our info down. There is a photo booth right next to the hostess stand and we were messing around with it for about ten minutes and the hostess popped out of the speakeasy and said we could go on in. I was so excited to try this place! It has super awesome decor. We were able to sit in the lounge section. Our waiter/mixologist took our order shortly after we sat down. I got the campfire old fashion. The presentation was superb. And it was an amazing cocktail. My friends ordered really great drinks as well. The only reason I am knocking it down to one star is we had chatted and waited for our guy to come back and when we got another waiter/mixologists attention so we could order food he said that the kitchen was closed. this place is super hidden, no signage or anything, I had to ask someone if they knew where it was, so it was cool in that sense because it really was "secret" but maybe some instructions could be provided when making reservations or something. reservations were booked for the evening but they mentioned to ask the hostess if any last minute openings were available. we got there and thankfully we were able to walk right in. we told them we were celebrating our 10 year anniversary and both the waitress and hostess were very sweet and attentive at first. The waitress Peyton left us our drink menu and said she or someone else would be back shortly to get our order. ok well that didn't happen. we were seated in a more private room next to a large party. no one came into that room to take our order nor to check on the large party for 35 mins. Yeah. 35 mins. I kept just giving them the benefit of the doubt and tried to enjoy the experience in the meantime but 35 minutes without someone coming to take our order is ridiculous. At that point, Peyton came by finally and asked if we were "doing ok". I told her no girl, no one has even taken our order. She apologized and took the drink order but cmon. We were totally forgotten about. And the big party next to us as well because no one stepped into the room for so long to check on any of us. This place is nice, well priced, and cool atmosphere- but honestly ruined because of this. I just don't see how you could forget about your guests for so long. The place isn't large at all. What an amazing place! My wife and I went there last night, deciding to head up to Temecula for a night out. We ate at Devilicious (which deserves its own review), and then managed to get in to the Apparition Room after. The space is accessed through a kinda-hidden door right near the entrance. Inside is a classy, old school bar vibe. Dark, nicely decorated and cozy. We were taken care of by a number of people, including Sas and Emilia, who had some great recommendations for drinks. We had the Dead Man's Chest (a tiki-type rum drink) and the Campfire Sour, a really creative whiskey sour with a great presentation. Also had an Off the Record, a complex cocktail with brandy, whiskey, and a bright flavor of lemon peel. All the drinks were amazing! Really well thought out drinks with a wonderful balance of flavors, even the ones where I wasn't so sure the flavors would go together. If I had to pick one, I'd have to say the star of the evening was the Campfire Sour. That one is worth the trip all on its own! We'll definitely return to try more. We were lucky to just walk in on a weekend, so next time I'll try to plan ahead with a reservation. read more

My girlfriend and I came down from LA to check out the closest bar that was still hosting Miracle Popup - and that was Apparition Room. It was absolutely worth the drive. The decor and glassware was ultra christmassy and got us in the holiday spirit. Willie was super friendly and served up a bevy of holiday drinks, including a delicious spiked eggnog I highly recommend making a reservation before the Miracle Pop Up ends!! I've been to a few speakeasies and was not real impressed with the Apparition Room. It feels like a makeshift room inside a bigger restaurant, which I believe it is. Sure it has a hidden door and they have tried to create a roaring 20s vibe. The check-in process is shared with the restaurant and although I had a reservation, no one seemed to be on top of things. The two semi-private living rooms look great, but they appear to be reserved for larger parties. The rest of us are seated at the bar or (as in my case) along a back wall with stools and a 12-inch shelf to place your drink. The staff are nice and friendly and there's a big selection of mixed drinks. The wine and beer menu is microscopic. I doubt I will be back. read more

This place is inside of @deviliciouseatery ... let me stop for a moment, head to Devilicious I promise you you will love the garlic Fry's and crispy Brussels. We had that before we went in to have a drink and washed it down with one of their local tap beers. After we went in to the secret door and they took us to a nice little quiet area where we had some cocktails and more appetizers, we had the stuffed dates and the crab Rangoon. As far as drink.. We had a disappointing experience at the Apparition Room. Booking a reservation at this Speakeasy was planned weeks in advance and was meant to be the highlight of our trip to Temecula. We had a party of 6 and arrived right on time for our reservation. We were sat on a row of stools up against a wall with no table and no way to converse with each other and were told we could just wait and take any free spots that opened up for a better experience. Finally after 45 min, a whole room freed up. We waited for a table to be cleared to finally enjoy the experience- but we're asked not to use the room/ table or chairs because another party of 10 was coming in and they wanted to sit together. We pointed out that we had a reservation and also wanted to sit together and the hostess said seating arrangements together are not guaranteed and that it was spelled out in our text reservation. This was not true. We were led to believe we had a legit reservation at a table together. It's unclear why the party of 10 had priority, we imagine they were friends of someone who worked there or knew someone. Obviously no table of 6 randomly freed up- so our reservation was basically useless. Plus, there was supposedly a 2 hour limit and there were others at seating areas the whole time we were there and no one was monitoring the time limit. The food was good, the drinks were good, the bartenders and waitstaff were hardworking. The hostess was rude and the reservation system disorganized and non functional. I do not recommend. read more

I'm always wary of places that have all these 5 Star reviews mixed in with horrible 1 star reviews. First off, I thought this place had a cool vibe. I actually liked the way it was decorated and the speakeasy feel. The food was pretty great too. We ordered the duck and bone marrow. The drink I ordered was the Mistress and it was also really good. Now on to the bad part. Their downfall is the service. Although the bartenders seemed nice enough, you better believe they will talk behind your back. One in particular had an attitude and made snarky comments.. who knows, maybe that's his style but it was lame. I agree 100 percent with the reviewers who have commented on this. In particular, I felt they kept trying to push us into buying drinks. We weren't there for that long, this place literally left a bad taste in our mouths. Side note... apparently we weren't ordering enough drinks to their liking and my cousin overheard one of the guys talking about it. Super rude. They've been open about five months now. You can have appts with your craft drinks. We had truffle chips and bacon wrapped dates. No big label spirits here, names I've never heard of but thst doesn't mean low quality. There were four of us and Mo took good care of us. They promoting vodka drinks for $10 We had a couple drinks a piece. The drinks were ok, one of the drinks I had was an Old fashioned that was fair. When got our check and we were confused at all the misc charges for alcohol separate from the drinks. We asked about this and it was kinda like smoke and mirrors for extra charges so.....check your bill when you get it. Bob the manager took about $20 off of it for us. Started the night for a bachelorette party here around 7:30. Party's over 4 get seated in small rooms, which is great!! The beginning was awesome. We were seated and orders for drinks and food taken. That's where they fell off the cliff. Drinks came. Right of the bat, they were not what they were led up to be. They describe them with top shelf and they definitely were not. They tasted off like really bad liquor. You always know by the aftertaste. Asked the server about it and she said no they always use top shelf for their custom drinks. Really????? I know better by the taste. They were horrible!!! Tasted like they make these for people that just want to get drunk and have no tastebuds. Now for the food, mediocre at best. Not much more I can say about it. Anyway after drinks and food came, we were forgotten. No one came to ask if we wanted more drinks, even if we would like to try something different, water or order more appetizers. We were the forgotten souls! Then to top it off, I had to go out of our little special room and find the server and get the bill, of which they automatically added gratuity to for parties of 6 or more. Yea me!!!!
