My husband and I wanted to grab drinks out after having some Thanksgiving leftovers, so I went to Yelp to find something new to try. I zeroed in on the Apparition Room and thought it would be perfect since we both like craft cocktails. But I'm glad I went on the website and saw you need to make a reservation! So I texted the number and they responded pretty quickly. We got in because it was early and were seated in no time at the bar. I told the bartender to surprise me with something not too sweet but holiday-ish. It had a hot toddy-esque flavor with cinnamon and spice to it. (It was vodka based as well) I was very impressed. My husband got the Faux Pas but with a twist to it. He loved it and I also thought it was pretty smooth. His second drink was the sleight of hand- the interesting part was they lit the rosemary on fire to get the smoke essence to it and then placed it in the drink with half of it out of the drink. My last drink was the midnight shadow. Another vodka based drink since I'm not a bourbon or whiskey drinker. I was intrigued by the egg white and lavender in the list of ingredients. It was very unique- creamy with the egg white, slightly citrusy with the lemon, and sweet due to the cane sugar. Very good! Overall, this place is a hidden gem in old town Temecula. This was a cool location and even better drinks. We went during Labor Day weekend and despite not making reservations we were allowed in, which, within itself is amazing. Service was a complete disaster and ruined the overall experience for the group. Overall, ambiance was decent, food was delicious, drinks were ok, but you don't go to an apparition room or speak easy to receive subpar service. Guests of 6 or more are automatically charged a 20% gratuity, which I'm ok with and normally want to leave more based off the experience provided. This was not the case. The hostess at the front, after waiting 10 minutes to see a staff member, was extremely flustered because she left someone on hold for 30+ minutes and they hung up. Distracted by us, she attempted to offer us different seating that didn't exist, due to our party size, as we were rushed to our table. Then the waitress/bar tender seemed super upset the whole night from the get go. We received our first round drinks and food in a decent time, but after that she showed no interest in letting us order more and was annoyed that we kept asking for water because we were out of drinks. After 2 hours there, we were finally able to place our 2nd drink order. 30 min later, we had to find our waitress, sitting to the side conversing with a friend, just to get our order placed. This took another 45 min to finally get them. Not the type of service expected from the reviews listed. We were embarrassed after recommending it to our executive members and guests. Last night was my bachelor party and I was honored to be brought into this establishment. I came here a week prior and had no clue this was even here behind a hidden wall. The beauty of the experience was the mixologist can make a concoction of your flavor and taste you want to experience. I asked for a Reposada Tequila and was blown away with distinct citrus/cinnamon at time drinks (see video). The service from the male bartender was not great. We felt like we were getting pushed out of the bar when there was spaces open. His tone was snobby and unwelcoming. We also had someone in our group who has been sober for several years and ordered a nonalcoholic drink and made it clear to the server and they confirmed his drink had no alcohol and it ended up having alcohol. Don't tell anyone about this awesome private little speakeasy . There is a hidden door in the wall of Devilicious which leads to apparition room! They make excellent quality custom classic cocktails like a Manhattan or Old Fashioned. Great place to go with a friend or two. It's narrow and small and you need to have reservations. By far my favorite speakeasy to date! My girlfriend and I came up for her birthday from San Diego for some wine tasting & dinner over in the vineyard part of town. But I love Old Town Temecula so much we had to stop for a drink. We randomly stumbled upon this super classy and very groovy speakeasy! I am so bummed I don't live closer because I definitely would be a bar stool in this establishment if I did. The good news is it's only just an hour away so we will for sure be back! I ordered a classic Sidecar and she got a Mai Tai. Both were incredibly delish! On our way out we had the awesome luck of watching the mixologist make a Camp Fire. Now that was super cool! It's essentially a speakeasy that's of course hidden so make sure you text them to make a reservation ahead of time! Their menu consists of two columns--the left being classics and the right being the establishment's twist on classic drinks. Unfortunately, my boyfriend and I were too full from dinner to try more than one drink but the round of drinks that we did order was exceptional. I ordered Old Man and the Sea while my boyfriend got Keep Calm and Drink like James Bond. The presentation of both drinks was also amazing! If only we had more room to try out more cocktails on their menu Nevertheless, I think everyone should give this place a try if you're ever in the area. First time actually at this location. The nostalgia of going to a location that is kinda secretive is pretty awesome. We went there on Sunday night. No crowds was great and we really got the chance to enjoy the place and mingle with the staff. There is so much liquor here, the decor matches that of a 1920's or 30's bar, and the music was era fitting and awesome. Mo and Alejandro took care of us the whole evening. Every drink that Mo made for us was amazing. He sat with us, asked us a few questions and mixed some drinks for us based on out flavor profiles. We got some appetizers and WOW! So disappointing. Made reservations over a month ago for a group of 6 visiting from FL. Showed up for our reservation (and was texting the person who handles the reservation line and he confirmed our reservation AND time to close). We show up and waited around for 5 minutes for them to get someone to help us - there was also a couple waiting outside to get in too but no one was helping them so they left. Then a guy finally comes to help us and tell us they "decided to close early and last call is right now." Offered for us to make a reservation on another day, except we are on vacation. We wandered in here on a whim and it did not disappoint. Located behind the host station inside Devilicious, it was tough to find but there weren't any theatrics to access (passwords, etc.). We stayed for a few hours and tried a multitude of different drinks, from clear to amber alcohols to tiki selections. This is the first speakeasy we've been to that also served beer, and 40oz Miller High Lifes to boot, which just really highlighted what a great mix this place is of rural charm and city trend (note Muledeer trophies on walls). The only complaint (nitpick) we had was that the bar was full, so they seated us in the side room (with the beautiful glitter velvet wallpaper) and told us they'd come get us as soon as some bar seats came open. The bar was full when we got there, so they sat us at a wall facing the bar that had a long narrow shelf that can fit like your cellphone or maybe a drink depending on the glass size. Definitely not the right seats if you want food. Didn't care for that seating. Eventually the bar itself opened and we were able to sit there and it was much better since we wanted to order food.
