We were helped by an associate named Jessie who was able to answer our questions and get us our phones in a timely fashion, we had dinner reservations and she went the extra mile to make sure we weren't too late. My visit to the Apple Store today, Friday 16 January 2026, was about as primely relaxing as I could hope for. Finding the store front along an outdoor walkway in Alderwood Mall was streamlined. Music outside the entrance/exit helped set an upbeat vibe upon entry/exit. Upon entry to the store I was greeted by a friendly worker. Music played quietly for the duration of my visit and I was not interrupted by other patrons nor workers while looking at the devices. After entry, I made my way to the computers area to look at what was on display. Desktop options were on display with corresponding keyboard and computer mouse technology. Laptops were on display by make (Air and Pro). Each make had varied laptops on display to highlight different size screens and different finishes (silver/metal and black). Clicking on the trackpad awakened the device and basic features were available to access/explore. I found my experience on the whole to be welcoming. read more

I don't understand the negative reviews for this location. Of all the Apple stores I've been to (and there have been many), this one is always friendly, prompt, and helpful. I was here yesterday after not visiting this location for a couple of years (location). Have been to others, and so I am saying this in that light. This is a great store. I know these stores go up and down in service quality, but this one has always been good every time I have been there. You are greeted. Staff are friendly and helpful. Most are very knowledgeable, and some are exceptional. For the Apple stores in this area, I rate this tops, Bellevue and University Square tied for second (they flip-flop that spot constantly in my opinion--see my previous comment about ups and downs). I don't always travel to this store because it is harder for me to get to, but when I have something significant to do, this is the store to go to. And I've usually visited this location without an appointment, and that hasn't mattered. They still provided great service--every time. read more

Apple Support is the absolutely worst help I ever got in my entire life (over 50 years). Their technical support system totally supports the thieves who steal these devices, not the victim. If you want to purchase any Apple products, highly recommend purchasing everything online - no need to come to the store because the workers help you with your issues. Had a horrible experience with exchanging my old phone for money. They don't give you money or a deduction when you purchase a new phone, they issue you a gift card. Make sure to get a physical gift card because when I went and did the swap, I was not given a physical gift card, only a receipt via email. Employee told me no physical gift card needed, everything you need would be in the email. Which was a lie. Tried to purchase something online and the gift certificate number provided on the receipt was inaccurate. Went back to the store the next day and tried to ask a worker what was up. Employee turned me away and told me to contact Apple support and they should be able to reissue me a new gift card with no problem. Turns out that was invalid as well. Went on Apple support to get some help and they kept sending me back and forth with no resolution to retrieve my gift card info. The support staff told me it would take couple weeks to get a resolution. Overall, still no problem was resolved and it has taken up about 2 hours of my day. read more

They take too long to get people in for simple things. If they know that my iPad has to be sent in for a repair then they should have more staff trained on how to scan it in, put it in the box, and take payment. All of them know they can't repair it in store or swap it out. So why I have to sit here for two hours waiting for them to do a five minute task is beyond me. I'd say their higher ups need to focus on creating a five minute process for devices that clearly can't be fixed in store and having all staff in store capable of doing that. It's a simple and incredibly easily implementable solution. As a truck driver I don't have extra time to waste sitting around and I'll have to operate an 80,000 pound big-rig tomorrow tired due to lost sleep due to this wait. Was told at 2 different Verizon stores that I would have to file an insurance claim, and go without a phone in the meantime, which I didn't want for obvious reasons. My Apple Watch wouldn't hold a charge for most of the day anymore. Contemplated buying a new one and saw service appointments as an option to schedule here. Arrived on time and got checked in. The rep met me on these cool stools in the back of the store. She did a scan to verify my battery was degraded. Battery repair is $99. They send in my watch and I'll get a replacement. You can turn in your watch for a credit but it would have been like $80 something towards a new watch. So I opted to get a new battery. I am filing a serious complaint about my experience with Apple's payment system and the service at Apple Store Alderwood. On Nov 23, I purchased $800 of Apple Gift Cards at Target and loaded them into my Apple Account Balance, planning to buy an iPhone 17 Pro Max 512GB using Apple Account Balance + Credit Card. When I tried to pay in-store at Apple Store Alderwood, the payment kept failing because of an issue with the gift card / Apple Account system. After a few attempts, the staff simply told me to call Apple Support myself and left me to deal with it. I then spent over two hours on the phone with Apple Support. I was told my case was escalated and the issue was resolved, and that I could go back to the store to complete the purchase. Today, I went back to the same store, only to face the exact same problem again. Another two hours wasted in the store. This time, I was even told to add more money from my credit card into my Apple Account so that the full amount could be paid in one transaction. I followed this instruction, and it still did not work. As a result: My funds are now locked inside my Apple Account, causing me real financial inconvenience. If I decide not to buy the iPhone anymore, I have a large balance stuck in my account with limited ways to use it. I was misled into believing the issue had been fixed. I received an email saying the request was resolved, but nothing had actually changed. I made a completely unnecessary second trip to the store. The store staff repeatedly pushed responsibility onto me instead of taking ownership or providing a real solution. Based on what I found online, this seems to be a long-standing Apple system issue with Apple Account / gift card payments that has still not been properly fixed. This experience has wasted my time, caused financial disruption, and seriously damaged my trust in Apple's service. BAD VIBES Apple Store. My husband and I had a return and a new purchase to make at the Alderwood Apple Store. We were the first ones in line and walked in to six employees standing in front of the displays (four of them staring at their screens). No greeting. Just people standing in the front of a store. One employee asked if they could help us, to which I replied jokingly, "I don't know if there's enough people to help us!" *crickets* Now, I don't expect laughter, but I didn't expect people to look down at their phones and IGNORE US. It was weird and I have never been made to feel so unwelcome in a store. Now, I'm no stranger to the "vacant stare," and I get that nobody owes me smiles or fake friendliness, but it does reflect poorly on Apple's employee training and treatment. Does Apple treat their employees so poorly and/or underpay them that they feel no obligation to be welcoming? Is this just the type of unkindness we should expect from Trump's America? Easy, peasy (legacy) iPod repair. Thank you. I had a 6:30 PM reservation. My 4:20 PM appointment ended early. I took the chance that I could request an earlier diagnostic for my iPad Mini. The first Blue Shirt technician logged me in and I waited a short 20 minutes for a Genius Bar tech to run diagnostics on my iPad. Dereka! Wowza. Pleasant, informative, wickedly competent. She ran 5 tests, hard booted my iPad and voila, it was repaired. We chatted about the new Mini launch and I debated buying one. Unfortunately, the latest iterations of iPads no longer sport the 1/8th inch TRS input. I have found this feature to be an imperative feature for my live musical performances. I have a number of apps that I use as sound modules. The 1/8th inch TRS allows me to designate different MIDI instruments to left and right mixer channels. 5 star visit with Dereka! read more

I just payed $2100 for a new iMac. I was replacing an older iMac. The sales people told me that all I had to do was plug it in, turn it on and all would be fine. They forgot to mention 1. I needed to charge my keyboard, but of course they didn't say how. Nor did they tell me how to know when it was charged. 2. I needed to charge the mouse, but of course they didn't say how. Nor did they tell me how to know when it was charged. They did tell me my printer and external drive would just plug in and work fine, but the computer only has USB-C while the plugs were just USB so I needed a few converters. They told me I could just plug in my old keyboard/mouse if I wanted to start with that. It's the same USB -USBc problem. They told me I had an educator discount for Microsoft Office and it would work fine on my computer. When I try to run it, it tells me I have to pay $99 a year to use Word. When I took the computer home and turned it on the pic below showed up on screen. I waited over an hour and nothing happened. Then I talked to two different people at apple tech support for about an hour and they didn't know what to do. So they told me to go back to Apple at Alderwood. It was another hour just getting to and from the store. Of course I called the store for this problem but was just told to bring it in. I've had Apple products since the mid 1970's. I taught computer programming at a local high school for 27 years on Apples (yes it started with the Apple IIe). I convinced the district to stay with Apple products. Made an appointment to get my battery replaced because my phone said it was only at 75%. I drove 45 minutes there waited for my late appointment another 30 minutes. Then they looked at my phone and said yup needs a new battery. Then got the battery for me and said they would hold it (the battery) for 5 days but that I needed to come in again......... but that I wouldn't need an appointment next time. I'm here scratching my head as to why I spent a good chunk of my day for them to go on my phone look at what I had looked at to tell me I need another battery and to come back again!! I had an appointment to get my iPhone's battery replaced! I was promptly greeted when I came into the store all the staff had a very friendly upbeat attitude which was a great way to start the day. Once checked in Fabien (sorry if I spelled your name wrong) he was so friendly and helpful and as I waited for my iPhone's battery to replaced he made sure to constantly keep me updated as it was taking slightly longer then expected but I had nowhere I had to be so I was glad to wait. Upon completion of the battery replacement they promptly returned my phone to me then I was able to be helped by Anna to get a new trackpad for my Mac. Which she was very friendly and was able to provide friendly service and she even stated she remembered me from when I bought my iPad a couple months prior. This is the awesome customer experience I am always glad to receive and why I choose to drive an hour and a half to my nearest Apple Store at Alderwood Mall. I never fill out online reviews but the customer service I received here at the Alderwood Apple Store in July 2024 is one of the worst I have ever had from any company. I scheduled an appointment to have my "crackly" airpod pros looked at. The store rep tested them and said they were bad, it was apparently known issue, but mine were out of the recall warranty time. The rep then said, "good news," I can sell you 2 replacement ap's for only $90 each, but you have to turn in your old ones and keep your old case. Since I had not been in the market recently for new ap pricing I just took his word for it and bought the replacements and gave him my old ones. I walked out the store and decided to look up what new ones would cost and was shocked to see that I could have kept my old "crackly" ap's and then bought new ones of the same generation, with a new case, for 1/2 the price of the replacements I was just sold. I turned around and walked back in the store and told the rep I wanted him to refund or reverse the transaction I had just made 5 mins prior and give me my old ap's that were sitting right there on the counter still. He talked to his manager and they both told me this was "impossible," the system did not allow it?? They said all I could do was call Apple Support. After several calls with apple support and a formal "complaint that has apparently been filed, the bottom line is that I am out of luck and was told that the way the store handled things was their prerogative and there is nothing Apple Support can do. I have always trusted apple to provide great customer service so I did not even think to not trust the rep. at the store to sell me on such a crapy deal and not just tell me to buy a brand new set? Its my own fault for not being more educated about the market price of airpods, but I just figured I could trust the store rep to take care of me. I sent my phone for screen repair a few days ago and realized it was not done in the right way; after repair, it had an irregular gap between screen and body so water could likely go in. Horrible customer service. I have had a persistent issue with my left AirPod. My right one was replaced right away, but now that the left one is having the same issue they won't help. Problem is very random, but happens on a daily basis. I have taken in pictures showing the left AirPods won't charge, even if the case and right AirPods are charged. They keep telling me nothing is wrong and they can't help me. Why would I call apple 5+times, drive into the store 4+times for the same issue if there was nothing wrong. Initially received really great service from Tina Peak, senior specialist, with T-Mobile, when I had an Apple Support problem. A few days ago, I realized, through Apple Support, that I was having a carrier problem with T- Mobile and Verizon. What really upset me and caused me to be irate when dealing with both T-Mobile Customer Support & legal, Tina Peak in the Alderwood mall store Lynnwood, WA 98037 was rude and inappropriate. I really had a horrible customer when I mentioned I had a T-Mobile carrier problem & then was told that was not possible. Tina also told me that she was only dealing with me because I had contacted T-Mobile supervisor in technical support the night before, and she repeatedly warned me that she would never deal with me again at that location since I had mentioned T-Mobile Legal, and was very defensive. Tina Peak. then referred to me as ma'am instead of DrBryn or Dr Van Way, was extremely rude, then I told her exactly what needed; A new, local phone number for my new iPhone 16 Pro Max, a cash receipt, and the email address for T-Mobile Legal. She agreed to give me it all. Then she forgot to give me my cash receipt before I left the store, & forgot to give me the email email address for legal as promised. I did not realize this until I had walked over to the Apple store a few doors over. I had gone to purchase some things and use the ladies room. When I returned to T-Mobile asking for the email address, she had forgotten to give me she told me NO I could only have the snail mail address. Customer support in the United States in general has gone down the toilet, due to automated services, and the right hand, not knowing what the left hand is doing. Washington state in particular has the worst customer support across the nation. I was instructed to either drive nearly two and a half hours away, in traffic during store hours, to EXCHANGE Apple Headphones, via making an appointment online or some other option where i would need to go somewhere other than JUST A UPS OR KOHLS, like almost all AMAZON purchases. AVOID this if you plan to just get a repair or replacement for a failed item. Expect nothing, and if something happens, YOU WON! I stood awkwardly near the entrance for 3 min before someone holding an iPad acknowledged me. By this time a line had formed behind me. So the guy holding the iPad functions as a receptionist, finding out what you need and directing you to proceed forward to the appropriate table to wait for the appropriate group to field your question or transaction. I was directed to an empty table (minus the tablets displayed) where I waited for another 5 min for a member of the product team to sell me a screen protector.
