Hands-down the worst experience I've had at an Apple Store. I went to the store all ready to buy an iPad. We were waiting for someone to help us but no one did. I talked to the greeter up front and told him I was ready to buy an iPad but just needed someone to bring it to me. He promised someone would come over. No one did. Turns out he had me waiting at the wrong place in the store. I didn't realize this until we talk to somebody else and that person directed us to the right location. The first guy didn't even apologize to us for giving us the wrong info. Avoid this place. read more

Excellent service and friendly, knowledgeable employees. I've been to this store many times over the past five or six years, and I've had a great experience 99% of the time. One time at Christmas, during a busy rush, one employee was slightly rude, but it was during the holidays and during Covid, so I understood. I will definitely keep shopping here. read more

Went today to buy a new band for my iWatch. Waited for about 10 minutes. Michael showed me the watch bands and explained the new model of the watch. just in case. I don't mind waiting for what I want, but this store has some of the worse associates I've ever encounter. I'm quite sure Apple don't give a flying Fk about these reviews as they basically reign the personal electronics market. However, I tried booking an appointment at the Genius Bar online, several times, in two days, only getting an error message after submitting the request (I used my phone, a tablet and a laptop). Finally decided to go to the store. Person at the front: "Ofcourse, I'll get you someone who may book an appointment for you". Second person: "I'm sorry but we only have appointments for today after 3.5 hours" Me: that's fine, I'll take it. Him "oops... not anymore. Nothing open until Tuesday. Me: ok, I'll be back. I need a computer immediately. They got me another associate who quickly got his little device and rang me for a brand new computer. It literally took 2 minutes to buy it. Salesperson : "I'm sorry, you just spent 1200 but we don't have bags. You gotta take it like this" me: ok no problem. Would you please help us booking an appointment for Tuesday?. Him: "well, that's not my job. The guy who was assisting you at the beginning, that's what he's here for". They lack any customer service skills. I would've preferred something along the lines of "definitely, let me (get you, walk you, give you the info, advice you) to the right person who can help you with that", but instead being dismissive, after I just gave his A$$ the commission of a brand new computer. You cannot reach the Paramus store directly. When you call 201 975 9500 you get bounced to apple in texas. its at least a 15 minute hold here. I wanted to try to reach the store to see if they had a part in stock for my phone before i trekked all the way out there. The store will not tell you if they have your part in stock. When you call texas ask for the Operator's ID and first name. This the only information he will give you. He will not give you his lastname, phone number or email address. The operator has a Manager though - he's called a "Senior Advisor." You can ask the operator for the senior advsiors email address. The email format is First_LastName@Apple.com. Mine was Rafael_Hernandez@Apple.com for example. Repairs are a horrible system designed to get you into their store, wait for 3 hours only to find out your part is not in stock. So that you come back into the store. read more

Probably the worst Apple location I have been to. The employees here are by far the rudest at any Apple store, and the employee I begged to ring up a set of $150 headphones for me (yes, begged to ring up a pair of headphones I quickly grabbed and didn't even ask a single question about) shook his head in annoyance at me for BOTHERING HIM AT HIS JOB when I was purchasing them. Buy nothing from this store! Every single accessory in this store is overpriced. You can find a ton of cases and screen protectors for your iPhone at oodles of other retail stores. I get all of my iPhone essentials at Five Below. If you want to buy any computer or iPod device with an extended service plan, go to Best Buy. Apple Care will NOT cover your product for accidental damage. Therefore, if you drop it or spill something on it, you will have to pay for it to be repaired. The price for a repair is pretty much the price of the actual product itself, so you might as well buy a new one. Best Buy has extended service plans that DO cover accidental damage. As for this store in particular, I've purchased a Macbook and an iPod here. Both experiences were met with problems due to the rude associates. I asked one of the workers what I should do, being that I broke my MacBook screen (A laptop has two halves. One contains the screen while the other contains the keyboard. I pick up my other laptop by the screen phalf all the time to move it from desk to desk. No problems. I did it ONCE to my MacBook, and the screen cracked). Her response was "Well that wasn't a good idea, now was it?" Probably not, but do you have to be that blunt about it? I think not. My second trip to this dump was to buy an iPod. I knew the exact one I wanted. The Apple "Genius" walked over. I had no questions about the product, having already researched it online. Easiest sale ever, for this guy. He brings over the little machine to swipe my credit card and notices I didn't sign my name to the back of it. "Can I see your driver's license please?" I hand it to him. He hands it back to me. "You need to sign your name on the back of your credit card." I respond by saying "Ok." Then he looks at me and says (with an attitude) "Now what would you do if I told you I couldn't accept this because you didn't sign your name?" I looked at him and blankly stated "Then I would save $200 of my hard earned money." He quickly shut his mouth and processed the transaction. This is the worst retail experience I've have in a long time. I made an appt at 1 PM with the "genius" bar. Showed up at 12:55 and got into a long line to check in. By the time I got to the check in person, it was 1:07 and was told that since I was 7 mins late, they canceled my appointment. I explained I spent the last 12 mins in line and he didn't care. He then said "I'll hook you up by putting you on 1:30 appt." Favor my ass. So then I sat where he told me to wait. 1:30 goes by, no one comes over. 1:40 rolls by, nothing. At 1:45 I asked a tech when I will be called up and was told that I wasn't checked in for the 1:30 appt. REALLY?! WTF?! So waited another 15 mins and got a tech at 2PM. To make matters worst, I made it very clear from the moment I've opened the case on line that I am an IT professional with 20 years experience and know exactly what's wrong with my Macbook Pro. I am having GPU related kernal panics and have found an apple article stating that this problem affects a range of MBP's that mine falls into and suggest users bring it in for them to swap the logic board. My husband was here for Christmas he waited in line for hours finally when he got to the front one salesmen said he would go get him the Ipad, however, I guess this was a manager my husband said he told the other salesmen that because he did not have an appointment they could not sell him the Ipad. Love Apple but their stores OMG! It's like Black Friday every day here! This location is uber fancy, modern and new but always packed! Who buys all these expensive Apple products all the time? The way they are packed it seems as though a customer comes every week to buy something new. If your coming here, plan a good amount of your time. Oh and the lights. It points out every flaw. Have been to this store 3 separate times, with an appointment with my brother the first time, to get my 6s replaced. It has a manufacturing defect where a grey bar strobes on the screen, preventing you from using your phone. Heed this warning: they will not make an appointment for you, even if you get there first and are first in line; they take appointments first. Was there at 9:30 this morning to try and beat the crowds and I was still told I would have to wait another 15 minutes after they open at 10 for service. My family has bough tens of thousands of dollars of Apple products, yet once I get my phone replaced (at this rate it may be never), I'm probably switching over to Microsoft. First, I hate malls. As soon as I walk into a mall, my main goal is to figure out how quickly I can escape. I can't stand the cheesy music playing softly, I can't stand the recycled air, I can't stand the sight of people lugging stuffed shopping bags, and I can't stand the incessant smell of Cinnabons. So, I wasn't all that thrilled to head to Garden State, but my beloved father needed a new computer, and so we jumped in the car, and we found ourselves in the Apple Store. I've never really been to an Apple Store- I bought my computer through school, and a few days after my order, it just showed up. So I wasn't sure what to expect- my first impression was that I couldn't believe so many people were in a computer store at noon on a weekday. We were quickly introduced to Chuckie (according to his nametag) - a very sweet, very patient college student who answered my dad's panoply of questions about the MacBook Pro, explained to us why he thinks getting iworks is better than loading the computer with the pricier Microsoft package, and reminded us to get a faculty discount. This guy never, ever made me feel like he was just trying to make a quick sell, and that really impressed me. So, Paramus Apple Store, give Chuckie some love. And, I'll be back. The level of service at Apple, and the Apple Store, has greatly diminished over the past couple of years. I'd give this a 3.5 if it were an option. I've had both good and bad experiences with the Apple Store, but, recently, it's been more bad than good. Here's the scoop: PROS: * They honor their commitment on Apple Care/Warranties: I went with my boyfriend to get his MacBook serviced. It had been 3 months and 2 days since he had previosly brought in his MacBook to be fixed. He had had major issues with a swollen battery which impacted the track pad and many other components. Even though the 90 days had officially expired, they adjusted the price, given the holidays and that the issue had appeared before the 90 day window had expired. * Staff is knowledgeable and has access to sophisticated diagnostics to determine the issue. Even if you don't have Apple Care, or your device is no longer under warranty, it's a good idea to bring it in, since they can diagnose the issue and let you know the cost to fix it. CONS: * Some of the "geniuses" are downright rude. After explaining there was an issue with he repair, the woman who helped us was argumentative and then took off, without telling us where she was going, or how long she would be. Conveniently, she was not wearing a name tag, so I couldn't make a note of her name. I'm not sure if she took off her name badge to avoid complaints, but, if you are going to be rude, anonymity is your friend. * There was an issue with the alignment of the laptop lid, due to repairs previously done at the Apple repair center in Texas. We were advice this would be fixed while the device was out for service. When it came back, it was not fixed. To fix it in store, they would have to charge. Ultimately, they did NOT charge, but I can't believe that the Apple Store has the audacity to make the mistake of another Apple Division the problem of the customer. Apple is Apple, regardless of whether it is retail or a repair division,. Stand behind your products, workmanship and brand. VERY disappointing. In sum, the place is overall good. I am an Apple fan-girl and I'd much rather deal with getting an Apple device fixed at the Apple Store, rather than trying to get a PC fixed anywhere. Still, the Apple brand is starting to feel a bit rotten in spots. read more

I recently visited this store because I was having problems with my new phone. My phone was texting the wrong people - so strange. Verizon wasn't entirely sure what was going on so I decided to go to apple and see if it was an iOS issue. I made an apt to see the techs. When I first walked in I was helped almost immediately - granted I got there a bit early. I was asked to have a seat at this table in the back. While I sat I was asked a couple times if I was being helped and if someone had spoke to me. The genius that fixed my phone was named Mike. He was very friendly and very helpful. My phone was acting very strange and no one had ever really seen the problem before (I even tried googling it and found nothing). Despite all that - Mike was able to fix my phone and help me get it set up correctly so I wouldn't lose any information. read more

How many geniuses does it take to help me? Apparently I never found out. I could have danced around every aisle and they'd have ignored me. I must have browsed near 10 different workers only to see them keeping the floor warm in the spot they stood in or huddled in groups chatting about nothing. The one I did talk to looked like I ruined his day for asking for help, talked down to me like I'm an idiot and couldn't even answer questions I had about the device. I couldn't wait to get him to stop talking so I could leave. And why does it always smell like a bum's ass in there? And in every Apple store I've been in. I completely shattered my phone screen and immediately made an appointment at the Genius Bar. I was reluctant based on many of the reviews here, which prompted me to write my own review. Every employee was helpful, from the person near the front to the person checking me in for my appointment, to the person who took my phone in, and finally to the person who gave me my phone back in tact within about 2 hours. Garden State Plaza is hectic and busy, so this store definitely reflects the crazy traffic they get, but if you're a smart customer who knows what they are looking for, backed up their phone, knows your Apple ID log in info, and knows how to ask for help, you will be fine. read more

He sends me to a number at Apple Care that is closed today (Memorial Day) which was helpful. After sending me on appt goose chase I'm sorry to say I was expecting something along the lines of customer service. I pulled over (no small trick on 95) to make an appt on --surprise!--a non- mobile Apple site. The hype around this company is staggering. The scene in the store was a $hi+$#0W. No one waiting for the Genius Bar when i arrived at 3:00 but was still told i had to wait till 3:30. Meanwhile, 30+ employees are standing around giggling and gaggling with each other as the store wasn't crowded. It felt great to wait a half hour and not see a single soul waiting with me. This was a surprisingly painless experience, and the service was better than expected. I guess I haven't been in one of these for a while, but I needed a MacBook Air serviced. I made an appointment for 5:30pm on a weekday, but showed up a little before 5 hoping they could take me early (my schedule just worked out that way). They said they'd try their best and I thanked them and waited as one technician assessed the situation. By the time the second technician saw my computer and ran diagnostics (it needed a replacement part which they covered for free, FWIW), it was 5:15 and I was out. That's pretty awesome. Today, I get there to pick up my computer, and I check in amidst the sea of people usually in this place, and again, not ten minutes later I'm walking out the door, continuing with my day. With Apple, you pay a premium, but as long as the service is spot-on like their computers and phones, it's well worth it. read more

Appointments made to resolve issues on my macbook pro depends on who the "genius" is assigned to you. I had an issue with my mail be taken off the server each time I checked it, and the "Genius" had no clue how to prevent that. I actually found the right area and resolved it on my own. Still, there are some pretty good people there, who have helped me with other issues, quickly, efficiently, and most important of all, patiently. Be ready for a crowded experience with every age of people from 1-60+ and an equally number of apple employees wearing their uniform and trying to process the crowds that turn up. read more

I'd browsed this store several times and purchased a headset there before but on Saturday, I took a leap and bought a Mac Book Pro Retina. My Genius was Rory. She is a woman who has had MACS most of her life and is quite knowledgeable about Apple. She was straight up about the pros and cons of buying the older Pro without retina. She also orchestrated a simulation test between side by side Pros with different processor speeds so I could see real-time results. When I was indecisive, she wasn't pushy and when I finally decided to drop the $1400 she asked "Are you sure?" She took me to the set-up table which was jam-packed. I gather she was supposed to leave me there with the Genius doing set-up but it was quite obvious he "ain't have time for that" with his hands already full with two near elderly people and a teenager. She stayed with me and set up my Pro. I had a good experience overall there. Sure it is super busy, and I think getting the right Genius is 50% of your experience at this store, so just cut out the guesswork and ask for Rory. I hope that's how to spell her name. read more

My finance and I went there to get new iphone xs. I knew the place will be crowded on weekends, so we got there around 9:40am. Seems like this place usually get busy from morning, so I recommend to get there at least 30min before the store opens. (Apple store will ask customers to form a line and make you wait, but for new purchase line, staff do not follow up, so people can easily get confuse) When we got in, Sales Rep Mike Cronin helped us from the beginning and honestly, he was very helpful and kind that we received high quality customer service. I am in sale too, so I usually critique other sales rep pretty rough, but I felt Mike's service was very professional and always keep his eye on he's surroundings. (Mike was helping other sales reps and before he was helping others, he always asked us if he could excuse himself and assist others.... usually, poor-trained sales rep just leave the scene without saying anything and comes back 10,15min later...) I don't know much about other sales rep, but I would come back to this store as long as Mike is working. Thank you Mike and we wish you a best on your leadership training. read more

Not bad... Apple Stores tend to get really crowded by three types of people: those who actually need to be there, sticky fingered kids wanting to play with the pretty toys, and by tech-illiterate adults wandering around like lost sheep. This store was no different. It was packed! I just wanted to go in to charge my phone, which had just died, and was sort of just standing and observing for a while. I thought the staff was relatively helpful but not too pushy. One worker guy commented on my beat up 3gs and then struck up conversation, which I'm normally annoyed by, but this guy was actually helpful. We talked about iPhone 5 rumors for a bit and I got some advice on car chargers (which stopped working after the iOS 4.0 update) and on my iPad 2 case options. I noticed that the staff was relatively good at directing people to where they needed to be and what they were looking for and seemed rather attentive. That was sort of refreshing, as I've seen many stores where the Apple employees are busy playing with the pretty toys themselves. Anyway, I've been in better Apple stores, but I've also been in worse ones, so I'm giving this place an average rating. read more

Apple does it again! Exceptional customer service. The geniuses at the Genius Bar always know what they're doing. I've been here several times for phone issues but was especially impressed with my appt for my iMac. As soon as I walked in w/ my iMac in hand, someone swiped it off of my hands and helped me check in. The guy who assisted with doing the clean swipe offered to take it out the back door and into my car. Always a great experience here. I also came back with a friend who wanted to purchase and laptop and Michael Mullan, the associate who made the sale, was great at explaining what the differences were between all of the options that were available. Kudos to Michael and his expertise! The staff here is very helpful. The store is large, nice and very organized. Apple's open concept is simply the best. A+ yet again. read more
