Went in for the first time to buy a MacBook Air. Found the staff to be very helpful and they did not try to oversell me anything, I told them what I wanted and that was it, no sales pitch for a case or anything like that you would get at a place like best buy. Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. It is honestly disappointing considering how advanced this company is. My father and I went to receive a new iPad because his old one cracked. His Apple Care insurance covers this. One of the employees apparently put an incorrect product code number into the Apple Pay coverage the last time my father visited the store - so we could not receive the iPad until they connected with another Apple representative. The individual we worked with - Alvin - told us this would take a half an hour and that he would call us back when it was done. He even put the iPad out on the counter for when we came back. So we decided to wait. An hour went by with zero call from this store. We went back into the store to figure out what the problem was an apparently Alvin went on his lunch break when we left and that we would have to wait for an unknown amount of time to get the two codes corrected. This is absolutely absurd and I am incredibly disappointed in this company's choice of employees. Go to a different Apple store for customer service. read more

I just went in here knowing I wanted the gold MacBook. Georgia approached me as soon as I walked in, was super friendly and knowledgable, and got me the MacBook and the adapter I needed. I wish I timed it, I think I was out in 5 minutes. I'll definitely go back to this location whenever I need anything from Apple. read more

The people there are very nice whenever I go in I usually have the same Group of people it's nice to kind of know the people you're working with and be familiar with them. They always fix Or resolve my problem and make things right. The only downside is usually there's a wait but if you could make a appointment via the app it's not so bad. read more

This store has horrible customer services. Went to store had appointment. Store was empty. We were asked to wait for 20 minutes. Waited they solve the problem. Had few questions about watch . Girl ask to go back in line and wait. Ask for manager, his name is Tom said go on computer and look at the specs for the watch. Do my suggestions do not go to this unfriendly Apple store. Horrible Store. I was visiting my wife's family in NY and my sister-in-law's watch we gave to her started to suffer from the battery expansion issue that extends the warranty. We took it in. After waiting for our appointment It took 3 people to verify there was a problem. I our had an iPad while waiting. I requested to speak to the manager about swapping out the 1st gen watch for a 2nd gen since the 1st gen is no longer available. He was EXTREMELY RUDE. I have a business account with Apple. He said to go back to California to do it. Not to throw money around I said I spend thousands of dollars on products to let him know I enjoy . He aid so do others at this store. I cannot believe the believe the customer service we received. Did I mention it was Christmas Eve? I will never purchase from this store. Managers are there to remedy a situation not make it worse. The interesting part of it was when I asked to speak to the manager the worker was surprised I followed him to the manager he was talking to and surprised I wanted to speak with him. This store does not know customer service. The store did not even call back after the survey was taken regarding our visit. The one at Tice's Corner is much friendlier. I had a problem with my iPhone. The staff was NOT knowledgeable. instead they just tried to push me into getting a replacement phone. There is nothing genius about the Genius bar... they are just like car sales people trying to push you into getting something. I succumbed to their pressure and spend money that I shouldn't have and bought a replacement phone but after 3 weeks the phone which they claimed was factory remanufactured,or something similar to that - don't know their jargon, the service didn't work. They refused to take it back because it's more than two weeks even though this was a brand new phone according to them. They were indifferent to me and didn't even try pretending that they want to be helpful. This was probably the last time that I stepped into that store and I am rethinking my relationship with Apple as a whole. read more

Where do I begin? Had an absolutely horrible experience here today, a Sunday. After spending time in this store last Thursday to get rid of a supposed virus and having my machine declared clean and healthy, I took it home. Three hours later, the virus warning reappeared. So now I'm on my second visit in four days. I arrived for a 1:30 appointment at the Genius Bar four minutes late due to unannounced local street closings. After five minutes of chasing around to find somebody named Tim, to whom I was referred by a series of indifferent green-shirted minions, to help me, I was informed by Tim that because I had "missed [my] queue", they could not see me right now, but if I could "hang around" until 3:00 "or so", they might be able to take a look. I declined the invitation. Tried to schedule another appointment, but they had no openings until Tuesday at 1:15. Thoroughly disgusted, I left. It's ironic to me that in the past when I had an appointment and was on time, I have spent 30+ minutes waiting for them, but they could not accommodate my 4-minute tardiness today. (I guess I was 9-10 minutes late if you count the time I wandered around the store seeking the elusive Tim before checking in.) And what's with the 15-20 young people in green shirts at the front of the store, standing around, clearly having a good time doing nothing? I was told "they're not trained technicians," OK, so why doesn't Apple get rid of some of them and use the money they save to train the rest? Might improve their in-store repair service. Surely they don't need that many untrained employees to sell iPhones. And my machine still has a virus. Or at least a virus warning. Or maybe no virus at all. Maybe it's bacterial. read more

This store is a complete joke. Went there with a broken battery and the guy told me to delete everything off of my phone and it might fix the problem. Some geniuses they are!!! Afterwards I called apple technical support (they are the best) and they told me to go pick up my new phone at this store. When I called the store to make sure they had phones in stock before I made another 1 hour trip there, the guy told me he didn't care what apple technical support said- he refused to give me a new phone. This is probably the worst customer service I've ever seen and I would never go back to this apple store again. I am disgusted with the arrogance and stupidity of these people. Most ridiculous in store pick up process ever. I bought an item on the net for in store pick up. Get to store and there's not a special line for prepaid orders. Instead the greater at the door tells me to stand in the middle of the store unattended. Then 3 minutes later tells me to get in line behind people who are checking out, making returns, and asking for PW resets. I finally get to the front of the line and the person takes my info and has my item picked from inventory. I would have gone thru the exact same process had I purchased the item in the store. Essentially the entire process was longed because of the advance purchase. For a high-tech company their processes are incredibly antiquated. And not customer friendly. read more

Im visiting my boyfriend who was trying to teach his sister to be aware so i tried teach him a lesson to be nice and he broke my phone during his lesson. All i need to do is get it fixed so i can go home but they denied my request and said i have to wait till MONDAY!!!!AINT NOOOOOBODY GOT TIME FOR THAT. i already waited two days to get it fixed because kids gotta go to six flags, i wasn't even able to snap my experience there cause my phone was broken and the least they could do is fix it before i go drive 4 hours home. I had a problem with my laptop charging. When I left yesterday I thought the problem was resolved. When I tried to use my computer last night, the problem still existed. I returned to the Apple store in Nanuet today. I was helped by Tom Foley. He was professional, helpful and listened to my issue. He completely resolved the problem. He went above and beyond to make me leave the store happy because my computer issue was finally resolved. Tom is an asset to Apple. Thanks Tom! read more

Needed the battery on my phone replaced. Went in without an appointment because I didn't know how my day would play out. It took me a bit to get someone's attention and no one asked me if I needed help. I finally went up to an associate who showed me where to stand to get Genius Bar assistance. The store layout/operation is a little confusing if you're not used to it... My instinct when I first walked in was to wait by the Genius Bar for service but no one came... It would have been nice to know sooner that you have to wait in the middle of the store to check in. They were able to fit me in in less than an hour. The tech who checked my phone was knowledgable but I found him to be unfriendly if not slightly condescending. (Ex: I told him the battery ran out quick, and that I had AppleCare - he said "Well let me just see." After he ran the diagnostic he said, "It's the battery, but YOU already KNEW that.") He told me my phone would be ready in about an hour, so I left, got lunch, and came back less than an hour later preparing to wait a bit longer, but my phone was already finished after about 40 minutes. All in all not a bad experience, very quick service especially since I didn't have an appointment and it was a weekend. Just wish there was more direction given upon entrance and less attitude from tech. read more

Made an appointment 2 days in advance and still waited 30 minutes for assistance. The store was not busy and several employees were free. "Alex" finally arrived and when I asked about the appt. delay he said he "didn't know.' He then half listened to my questions and took 15 minutes to advise that my phone screen couldn't be fixed in-store and instead would take 3-5 business days. Given how great they were with timeliness of appointments I requested a manager for confirmation. I asked Mngr "Lexie" and she confirmed the time frame. I explained given my tight travel window I can't risk this not being sorted out faster. I asked her, the manager, why I waited so long to be seen. (I admittedly was hoping for some faux accountability or recognition of the waste of my now 50 minutes in-store.) Instead she said, "I just got here, so who knows." I just wanted one "I'm sorry for the inconvenience." For the price of apple products this was unacceptable. I left with my phone unfixed to find a better store! read more
