I've been at the store for 45 minutes waiting! I am now an hour past my appointment time meanwhile walk in's are getting help. I finally found someone that was free and they said it accidentally cancelled out my check in. Isn't the Apple store supposed to be good at tech? Unexceptable! Update! I wanted help with some long overdue OS and browser updates for my MacBook, but didn't get around to making an appointment, so I just showed up as soon as they opened. The wait for an appointment was roughly 1-1.5 h. I was expecting this, so I came prepared with study materials to keep myself occupied while I waited. The wait time ended up being pretty spot on. My technician was Michael and he was very nice and understanding of the fact that I preferred in-person assistance with my software as opposed to receiving assistance over the phone. The updates were pretty straightforward, though the whole thing took a couple hours because I was THAT far behind on my updates--oops. Michael checked on me regularly to make sure everything was progressing, which I appreciated. Overall, I had a great experience here. I interacted with about five staff members during my visit and everybody was nice and helpful. Plus, my MacBook is working so much better now. Thanks!! read more

I visited this store after having a very bad experience at the Manhattan Beach store (because Apple Care then suggested I try a different location, and I was visiting family in Temecula today anyway). I couldn't believe how unhelpful Manhattan Beach was (3 employees there were quite disinterested in helping me--I look fairly average and am friendly and polite, so apparently it was because what I needed didn't involve money; I was there for in-warranty service, and likely will never return). Temecula on the other hand, was just fine (not a big aggravating waste of my time, and no drama like M.B.). Temecula Applers worked team-style to get me going with my much needed device replacement. In roughly 40 min. with very little waiting, I was on my way, satisfied (making the appointment-setting thing worth doing at this location--there was a minor mistake over my name here too, but it didn't impact me). Brian at the Genius Bar was on it from jump, he restored both my iOS and firmware, and soon had my new iPad up and working as advertised. This store's wi-fi, as is apparently the case in all Apple Stores, was bogged down under heavy traffic, but at least we got the iPad activated and applied my latest backup before I left, as it was nearly closing time. I finished the process on home wi-fi without issue. Bottom line: if you don't know how to make Apple computers work, look for work elsewhere. Whereas Manhattan Beach no longer interests me, I'll return to Temecula for future business. Apple makes good stuff and "generally" support is very good. Choose wisely. Clearly, management changes are badly needed at some locations. Manhattan Beach: start by training staff not to patronize customers by calling us (e.g., me) "Hey Bud," not to walk away rudely in the middle of a transaction, and to spend at least a modicum of time to fix an issue, etc. Respect and help your customers! It will pay dividends. We pay all of your salaries!! read more

My husband and I visited this Apple Store today and I left in tears. It's not what your thinking! After having my phone replaced we were sent over to setup table, where my new phone was being updated and iCloud was transferring over. At that table there was a very kind young man whose name is Michael Cross. I have been through the ringer this last 16 months. Two major surgeries and a lot of lost hope. Micheal had this welcoming persona about him. A soothing voice if you will. He shared a life story that seriously gave me hope, the hope I needed. I know this has nothing to do with buying a phone, but it does is so many ways. There are good people out there. Take your time and talk with people. Pain and hope is all around you, just be open minded and give those around you a chance. I didn't want to leave the house this morning. And there was a reason Michael was put in front of us today. Our visit to this Apple Store will be something I will never forget. Micheal went above and beyond any other employee in that store. Took my laptop in to get assistance, prior to this we were promised that since laptop had prior issues from the first months of owning it,( it's a lemon ) that apple would honor the fix or replace the laptop of issues persists, whether it was u set warranty or not. The employee at this location said that since it wasn't in the notes he would NOT honor it. He also said that they wouldn't because it was no longer under warranty or insured. He said it would cost 698.00 not including tax to get it fixed even though it's a manufacturing issue. The lack of assistance and care to their costumers here is appalling. Apple used to be a company that cared about their costumers but it's history now. Going into this store was a waste of my time. If you have a cracked screen not under warranty or if they say they can't repair it, walk out the front door and turn left, there is a phone repair kiosk and the guy there was able to fix my phone in less than 5 minutes when the store said they couldn't and wanted to charge me 500+$ and lose all my data. I'm honestly disappointed with this particular Apple Store. I came in last week to get my iPhone SE battery replaced - under warranty, and when I picked it up, the phone was running slower than molasses. I checked the battery and it was still the same exact percentage that it was reported before in the battery settings. I talked to them about it being slow and it having the same percentage, and they told me some big BS: That the "technician" reported that he "did" replace the old battery, and that my iPhone was reporting the same percentage because it hasn't (the new battery) been charged enough times. I knew that was a complete lie, because I've gotten battery repairs done here in the past, and I know for a fact that the iPhone will report the new percentage almost immediately. I went home to charge. I threw it on the charger and left it for a few hours. When I came back, the percentage was stuck at 2%. I restarted my phone, and the battery reported 100%, so I unplugged. The phone died, and got stuck on a boot loop upon plugging back in. I was extremely pissed off at this point, and needed a phone to work. So I plugged into iTunes to do a DFU restore. Now, it works, but again won't charge past 2%, and reboots every few minutes. The only way I'd even consider raising my review is how fast they replaced my phone. (Just to clear things up, I tried hooking up my old phone up to my Mac to see the exact charge cycles, along with its design capacity vs it's actual capacity (how much charge it's supposed to hold vs it's current state) and it reported a blank, along with the max capacity 100mAh. Maybe it was either installed wrong or it was defective?) Had this been the only Apple store in Temecula - I would go somewhere else in a heartbeat. Rest In Peace iPhone SE - June 2017 - June 2018. So my iPhone 8 Plus has been giving me issues, it's been timing out as though its shutting down. Long story short, went to my local Apple Store and it wasn't too busy, around 10:20 a.m. Monday, walked in was greeted by two sales associates both friendly and professional and they offered to help me. I told them my phone was timing out and they said it was a Gas Buddy bug if you have the app that about 10 people had come in for the same issue. I have the app, so they restarted my phone, up then down on volume and then holding down the power button resets the phone. I couldn't get my phone to reset but, they did it and deleted the app and my phone hasn't been timing out. Hopefully this is the end of the problem. Enjoying my phone now that it seems fixed. 5*s for customer service. read more

My husband & I decided to buy a Mac Book Pro, and I called the Temecula Apple Store to ask about financing. The guy I talked to was very helpful, and even said, "you can reach out to me any time." I took him up on this and sent an email with a question about pricing. He responded quickly with "I'll get back to you in a minute when I'm through with a customer." I never heard from him again. We went into the store and worked with the first salesperson who approached us. He was helpful enough to begin with. But when we got close to buying and asked if they could match Best Buy's price for the same computer, he suddenly announced that he had to go into the back room for 15 minutes, with no explanation!! Really? Was it something we said or was he just taking a break? After a while, my husband asked about our salesperson, and we were turned over to yet another guy (the 3rd one in this process). We purchased the Mac Book Pro from him, after a little snafu in pricing because of some confusion about whether the computer had the latest processor or not. We decided that when we buy Apple products in the future, we may go to Best Buy instead. read more

I was just here to pick up an Apple Watch I had ordered through the app. I spoke with Karen who checked and confirmed that my order had not finished processing and would not be ready for a while yet. This took me by surprise, I had wrongly thought I could place the order and walk in minutes later and grab my purchase. I had my husband circling the block with our 6 month old, he was expecting me to pop right back out. But Karen was so patient and helpful, she got it figured out and I was on my way with my new Apple Watch in under 5 minutes. Karen, if you read this, thanks again so much for your help. You really showed outstanding patience and customer service during a busy time of day with lots of demanding people. I hope your manager sees this review and gives you a raise! I have been looking forward to getting my first Apple Watch, and finally went to the Apple store in Temecula. The store wasn't too busy. I expected more enthusiasm from the employees at the store, but eventually got help from a young girl to assist me. While working with her, I only had half of her attention while she was helping someone else too. Fortunately, I knew what I wanted. She had someone from the back get my order and took me to the set up table. She helped me take the watch out of the box and put on the wrist band. I was introduced to another associate Josh. She told Josh that this was my "first" Apple watch and he sort of cared. He leaned over the table on the other side playing with his iPad kind of answered questions for me. I'm older but know if I was a younger 20 something he would have been more interested. Before my iPhone paired with my new Apple watch Josh told me I didn't have to wait for the install to finish. I though ok, that was easy. By the time I got home my phone was finished but there was a problem. For the next hour plus I was on the phone with Apple Care. What ever happened to customer service!! When you spend this amount of money you would think you would get high quality help. I got more instruction from watching 10 minutes of Utube videos than I did from Josh an Apple store employee. My suggestion would be to bring someone in the store with you that cares, and has some technology knowledge. I should have gone to Costo!! read more

I don't think I have ever had a bad thing to say about an Apple store. Most of my experiences are happy exuberant ones, since i am usually leaving with a new device. But yesterday I drove 90 minutes to this store because the close store had no appointments, and my new ipad pro 12.9" was not charging anymore. So after waiting about 30 minutes in spite of having an appointment, I explained the situation and after finding I could not get the problem to repeat in their presence (of course) we talked about the fact that the new system upgrade might be at fault, OR my Logitech keyboard might be contributing. So I blew $169 to get the Apple smart keyboard case, which is designed for this ipad. We unboxed it and put it on my ipad, and I spent another $100 on a new stronger charger, etc. When I got home, and tried to use it--it wouldnt work. DOA. This keyboard is directly powered, so it isnt a battery issue. So I researched it and it turns out that this is a KNOWN PROBLEM. So if its a known issue since IOS 11, WHY wouldnt you check to make sure it worked WHEN you put it on, if you are an Apple employee? Especially knowing I drove 90 minutes to a store? So either the Genius bar personnel is NOT very knowledgable or they don't care. Either way, I am more than disappointed--I am furious. (It may have been 90 minutes to get there, but it was 3 hours driving home in traffic). The ONE distinguishing thing responsible for Apple's outstanding reputation is their customer service, and their consideration of the user experience. From now on THIS 30 year Apple customer will be buying on Amazon, where at least I can count on other users to tip me off to potential issues! read more

We went in during the aftermath of COVID and we were in line waiting to come in and they looked at us and waited for us to say something and look completely irritated and treated very rudely. The lady who had us come in looked pissed off and like she hated everyone. She treated us like we were stupid. And asked what we were doing there and I was like ...... an iPad??? I wish there was a -10 Star option! This is the second appointment I've made to get my phone screen fixed and somehow every time I attempt to make an appointment option online, they have only one time slot 1-2 weeks out. I made an appointment for 4:50 PM on a Saturday because it was my only option, I figured I'd be safe since I secured a precious, coveted time slot! My daughter and I walked in 20 minutes prior and it was a hot mess, we expected that on a Saturday night. Walked straight down the middle of the store and there was no signage to tell us what to do or where to go or how to even check in. Everyone is in the same blue shirts so make the check in person stand out from everyone else! We stood at the back by the Genius Bar, and no joke, at least a dozen employees (probably even more) passed us by in 15 minutes with zero acknowledgement whatsoever, like we were basically invisible. We finally hunted someone down who was just standing to the side twiddling his thumbs (we later found out was manager John), to ask where we needed to check in. He tells us "Frank" in the middle of the store. Trust me, Frank was definitely not there when we first walked in. If Frank is your ONLY person to check in customers with appointments out of 50+ employees, that should be his PRIMARY job! Instead he was helping a family with an obviously long winded issue with their iPad mini. We patiently waited to the side, but in a few minutes, there was a line formed to the door behind this family. You'd think Frank would be cool and acknowledge that we were standing there first patiently waiting, but NO...he ignored us like every other employee and helped the next lady. A little annoyed and only a few minutes to our appointment, I asked the next nearest employee if this was the only person to check in with? Very unfriendly KAREN huffily tells us "YES, and we should be standing in line." My bad, since again there's no indication or markers or signage on where a line should even be formed. After I had retorted that we have been waiting for almost 20 minutes and were just being ignored, she rudely and so unprofessionally tells another customer in front of our faces that we are getting "upset" because we don't want to wait in line. Magically a short moment later, two more employees show up to start "checking" customers in. Oh, I thought that could only be done by Frank according to John & Karen. Manager John was sickening with his condescending, ultra fake, over the top friendly attitude. He's the one that magically checked us in after originally directing us to Frank. He also told me when I asked that because I only made ONE appointment, I could only get one phone screen fixed, even though I had two phones. Fine. I'll take the second one elsewhere even though Apple has been the ONLY store we've ever been to for all our repairs. After we finally get checked in and snag the last two seats at the Genius Bar...we were helped by Tino. A very informative and much more genuinely personable employee by far. He kindly took both my phones to be fixed and empathetically listened and commiserated with us as we complained about their store not having any sort of directional cues or signage. Although both phones took a few hours, we were more than happy to kill time at the mall and grab dinner. When we went back to pick up, everyone was a lot more friendly and helpful. Possibly because they were about to close in less than an hour? We actually had a few employees even stop to ask us if we needed any help. Wish I got the dude's name when we picked up, everyone in that store could take some customer service tips from him. This is all being forwarded to corporate, by the way! Was having an issue with a phone for over a week. After being turned away the on a first visit with no resolution except paying to replace the phone (which was basically brand new), we made another appointment and had the lovely experience of being helped by Eric. He was very accommodating, kind and communicated to us what the issue was very well. We were told by another employee that "Eric is a legend" and I can confirm Eric is indeed a legend. But the manager Daniel, Genius Bar expert Alex and just about everyone I've met makes the experience a field trip! Everyone genuinely cares about the service you receive. They shake your hand, listen and are quick to resolve the issue. They give personal tips and they don't push products on you. I probably visited the store four times before I purchased and ordered my MacBook Pro. And when there was a factory repair needed, their replacement exceeded my expectations. Kudos to the Temecula Apple team for their stellar service. Their knowledge, honesty and love for their job is the reason why I buy Apple. read more

5/15/2018 Update: My second visit here- to replace the battery for my iPhone 6. Traveled a greater distance to this store because of my previous good experience. I had an appt; came in about 15 minutes early, was greeted, and was at Genius bar within about 10 minutes. Did some paperwork and left the phone with them- they estimated 2 hours. I went and had lunch, returned 2 hours later, and within 15 minutes got my phone back with new battery. $29 plus tax. Easy Peasy. Recommend this store. read more

I made an appointment for today to have my iPhone 12 looked at after I chatted with an Apple advisor online and was told I have a hardware issue and was recommended to come into the store. I came in a little bit early and was told I have to wait. Ok, that's fine. My time comes to check-in and one of the Apple employees helps me and tells me to wait at the Genius bar. So I'm waiting at the table in front of the bar cause the bar was full and after 5 mins go by, nothing. I guess I need to actually be at the bar I'm thinking. So I move to the bar and there are 2 employees 5ft away from me having a conversation. As I was about to say something, one of them began to help a woman that had literally just walked in. I felt completely ignored and just walked out. This is the first and last time I come to this Apple store. read more

Then after paying for insurance on my iPhone X for two years and it showing my battery operating at 80% it's not covered and I have to pay?
