Worst sandwiches ever! The Turkey was slimy and tasteless. Boarshead Turkey at Smith's is even way better! The bread is too thick and even the lettuce and cucumbers soaked the bread by the time it arrived. The side of pickle was soggy and limp and even cut strange. The so called ranch was green and not what you would expect and overly mayonnaisie in taste. They put more quality into the look of the box container than they do in the quality of ingredients. This place is in the middle of a bunch of business buildings and generally caters box lunches. This location does have a sit down area. The food is fresh and delicious. I got their herb chicken sandwich executive box meal which came with a bag of chips, side of potato salad, carrot chips (loved!!), cheesecake, and mint. The sandwich had a special pesto sauce with it. The chicken was real breast not deli meat which I loved!! Fresh lettuce and tomatoes. I could specify the type of cheese I wanted. It was fresh healthy and affordable. Not greasy and fast foodie. My husband got the southwestern salad which was good too with black beans and corn and a special bbq ranch came with 2 pieces of bread and cinnamon butter. The bread is super fresh and tasty. Our office ordered lunch from Apple spice on 12-16 for ten people . We ordered the lunch boxes so each persons box has their name put on the box . We ordered a gluten free sandwich. The person who ordered this said the bread looked different than his order before a few months ago. I called Apple spice with that person standing at my desk . They assured us it was made with gluten free bread . He ate his lunch and got sick had to go home . In the past there have been no problems at all , maybe the the bread was gluten free THE POINT is , that gluten free did not go in his box . This catering company is absolutely awesome. I have used them on a number of occasions and have always been more than pleased. They have HUGE portions when it comes to the roasted chicken. The rosemary roasted chicken is excellent and I recently ordered their chicken and beef kabobs which were a great hit with my team. They deliver and set up the table complete with plates, utensils and condiments and kindly leave the bill without bothering you in your meeting. Then, like magic, they come and quietly pick up their serving pieces. You don't even see the person who delivers. First time stopping into their location for lunch. I ordered a gluten free sandwich and it was dry, stale, plain and flavorless. The bread would have been better had they slightly toasted it. The sandwich was a strawberry chicken sandwich which consisted of a few slices of chicken breast, a few slicked strawberries and a piece of lettuce. This was the most boring sandwich I've ever tried. No fun sauce that ties it all together. Nothing else. Plain. Reminds me of ordering a hamburger for a picky child. I have two stars because the quinoa salad was good. Service, or lack thereof, is up to par with other places in Salt Lake. It was not helpful and when I mentioned how dry the bread was they said yeah I've heard it pretty dry. I am so disappointed with this location. We ordered our lunch for our office and had a birthday celebration for one our employees- I ordered online around 11:30 and was told our order would be ready for pickup at 12:59. I went in to get it at 12:55, and was told they'd been having trouble with their system and would need to sit and wait.... well, after sitting for 40 minutes, and having to substitute menu items for our order (they were out of food that was available online), was not offered ANYTHING to compensate or any sort of concession by the manager. Apple Spice Junction is a great place to come for lunch on a busy day. Their service is super fast (I usually get my lunch within 2-3 minutes) and it's not fast food! Each lunch comes with a sandwich (or salad), a side item (fruit or pasta salad), a pickle and cookie. It's quite filling. They have some very unique sandwiches there (thai curry chicken etc). They also have a punch card. Buy 8 get 1 free I think. Their service is fast, friendly and courteous. They also have free wifi and an outdoor seating spot. It's a quiet simple spot and reminds me a little bit of the outdoor cafes in Paris. My only minor complaint is that their sandwich bread can be a bit too thick so if you get food coma like me from too many carbs for lunch, you might want to stick to their salad. read more

The menu noted a "signature sauce" but it appeared to be dry bread and if there was sauce, I couldn't detect it. I added the mustard from the packet. The bread was nice and fresh.
