My wife bought a brand new iPhone 8 and it sounds like she's a mile away when she talks on speaker phone - even when it's right in front of her. She complained at this location and asked for a replacement and their response was "it works so we can't replace it." I wasn't able to charge my phone, they fixed the issue within 5 minutes. The apple representative mentioned that it was a common issue, and explained how to resolve it in the future. They were very kind, and have a great process of welcoming, and finding a customer an apple employee to assist them. Seemed like it could be tough to get help without an appointment, but anyone who expects to walk into an Apple Store and get immediate help without an appointment is like a Bears fan who expects them to take down the Packers twice in the same season - KEEP DREAMING. Parking is tough around the store, but if you can manage a parallel parking job you'll find a sport within a block. read more

We have always gone to the Schaumburg Apple Store before, but this one is actually a little closer so we decided to go here to buy a MacBook. We called first to make sure they had what we wanted in stock, they said they did, we drove 40 minutes, parked a couple blocks away, waited forever before someone was available to help us... and then we were told they actually didn't have the computer we wanted and we had to order it online. So that was a waste of time. We'll either order online or go back to the Schaumburg store from now on. This store was not very helpful. P.S. Our visit was a couple weeks ago. I'm happy to report that it was really easy to buy our MacBook online, it arrived sooner than predicted, and we totally love it. So Apple = great, it's just this particular Apple Store that deserves only 2 stars. read more

Ok let me say this I HEART Apple.... I hate this location....I have gotten better at a gas station in the middle of nowhere....seriously. I came in to swap my phone....it was defective only 7 months old :( My Appointment was at 720 PM...I arrived at 700 PM. I checked into the guy and after looking at stuff 705 I asked him if I could get a drink and I would be back. He took my name off the list and told me to check back in but to be back by 715 PM...cool. So after my momentary drink break I came back at 715 (5 minutes before my appointment)....and I waited....and I waited....and I waited....I had other people that were taken care of who came in after I did...then I just saw a lot of Apple employees just hanging out socializing with each other.... Finally 20 minutes later....I got help from a Apple employee Cynthia who could really care less that I was there. She was really cold and too cool for school and she was also training someone....Her trainee was actually more friendly and personable that Cynthia the super trainer was. When Cynthia would ask me questions she acted like she was doing me a favour...and everything she was asking me was just a big checklist and I was just a number- Next time I will head to a different Apple for service.... Also parking was kind of a nightmare....people were fighting for spots...but I should have known better-Cynthia and this Apple Store STUNK. Rotten Apples. read more

I am so over the whole Apple World! First off, making an appointment with a cracked screen took me three days out minimum, really? Secondly, has anyone noticed how many people are in these stores with phone problems, it's a lot! I got a new iPhone last July, the iPhone 6, and have had nothing but problems with it? Apple has replaced it three times in less than a year because of issues with it working. Yes, they replaced the phone all three times, but what a headache! Scheduling nightmares, over an hour each visit, replacing all my passwords etc.. Not fun! Basically had a back and forth with a manager who wouldn't exercise his discretion to correct a known issue with the iPhone. It was a power trip. Corporate said he had the discretion to waive and simply elected not to. Excellent customer service to have me call corporate to solve the problem. I had to get my first iPhone 6 replaced by Apple because the battery swelled causing it to push the glass on my screen up and apparently if it had gotten worse it could have burned me. I've had this phone for a little less than two years now and the same thing with the screen is happening to this one! I went to the Naperville store to see what they could do for me. I had Jackie as my Genius Bar rep and she looked at my phone for no more than a second and automatically told me my phone was bent and that I would need to pay $300 for a replacement. My dad and I put my phone flat on the table trying to show her that the metal frame of my phone was not bent. She wouldn't listen and kept insisting that it was bent and that she couldn't do anything. She never did a diagnostic on my phone, never tried to take it in back to see if she could figure out what was wrong, never did anything to help us honestly, and overall provided horrible customer service. I will never return to this Apple store again. The people at the Woodfield store are always so pleasant and welcoming and seem to actually care about you. They replaced my first phone for only $25. Skip this store and just go to Woodfield! I can guarantee you'll have a much better experience with people who CARE. read more

We walked in around 7 on a Tuesday night to a relatively calm store. We knew the product, the upgrades and coverage we wanted. We still had to wait ten minutes but once we were helped the process was quick and painless! Financed through Apple(which I found odd they never asked for an ID. Someone could really pull a scam here), company discount applied. Computer was handed over! Love - everyone wears the same color shirt for the same shift. "On Wednesdays we wear pink." The briefcase(Mac book box) our sales guy toted around with him as he printed out stuff. Cause you know at some point a sales person put that down and some clown off with. The fingerprint scanner on the 5s. Uhh... Swag. Dislike - waiting in an empty store FYI - Naperville & Deer Park have the lowest sales tax. Your welcome. read more

Once upon a time, Apple did things that demonstrated an effort toward customer appreciation. Under Tim Cook they seem totally bent on extracting as much value out of their dying brand capital as possible. My phone lost TouchID support a few months after this store repaired my display. They repaired my display because they broke it, while they were replacing my battery, a service I paid for. Today I came in about getting the TouchID fixed, and because it was barely outside of the 90 day warranty, for a repair to damage they caused, they wanted to charge me $150 to fix it again. I'm about done with Apple nickel and diming me. I just might have to escape their ecosystem soon. read more

I made an appointment to get my phone checked out and still had to wait for about 15 minutes for help. I saw a lot of staff there just standing around. When I got help the guy started backing up my phone which can take a while and so he went to break. He comes back from break but doesn't help me anymore, I had to explain everything to a new guy. The people I dealt with acted like they were doing me a favor. I got more help from my carrier Verizon than apple. I like their products but customer service sucks. read more

Disagree with the first review that this store is small. This is the 2nd largest store in the Chicagoland after the Michigan Ave location. It's easily three times the size of the Oak Brook Store. The sales, support, and genius bar team were outstanding for the amount of time this store has been live. Visually this store ads some much needed interest to downtown Naperville. This place is always such avoid, just go the next closest Genius Bar. Anywhere has to be more helpful than the Naperville location. There is a physical defect with my model of MacBook Air, Apple has announced they were doing free replacements for the part. My laptop has been affected by this defect so I took it in for repair, only to be told by this location that my laptop would not qualify for the free replacement due to the store I purchased my laptop from. I was quoted it would be only $300 less than what I paid for this entire laptop for the repairs. This did not seem quite right to me because this was a recall for a defect with my model, I had bought this laptop as new from a local retailer. I was able to get it repaired somewhere else, it was such a time waste waiting around here. read more

So my watch battery that I've had for 3 years now, finally was about to go out. Because of this, the face on the watch popped up. To my surprise the watch was still working. Anyway, l didn't have a scheduled appointment, but they just so happened to have an opening for someone to speak with me and take a look at my watch. I was happy to wait the 45 minutes because they stay BUSY!!! And l got a little shopping in at the local stores. I was told it was a possibility l might have to pay $199 for repairs. I figured if that be the case l might as well buy a new one. The watch was sent out for servicing and when l was contacted by a Apple rep 5 days later, that it was ready for pickup, l was also told it was replaced at NO CHARGE!!! If l could have done a back flip in the store after picking up my replacement watch, l swear l would have. Lol. I stopped in yesterday to have my old MacBook Air looked at and buy a whole new MacBook Air. It was the most professional, quick, and easy trip I've ever had to an Apple store. Although I wasn't able to have my old Air looked at that day, my Genius, Nick, was easily able to set me up with an over the phone appointment. He also hooked me up with a great deal and I ended up leaving with a new MacBook Air, a multiport adapter, and new AirPods. He was so helpful! There were also geniuses waiting outside ready to help and security taking the temperatures of everyone entering the store due to Covid-19. It was a 10/10 experience, everyone was so pleasant, and I will definitely be coming back to this Apple location for any further help I may need. read more

I had a nice experience at this location last week. My Macbook wouldn't start up and after trying everything I could, I made an online appointment. The appointment system is apparently undergoing changes which is good because I found it annoying. At 4:30pm on a Monday, I was able to get seen right away. The employee was super helpful and although it turned into an hour appointment, he did not seem annoyed. They were able to fix my computer completely and it cost me nothing. Only downsides to this location would be tough parking during peak times and other locations are larger so it gets cramped sometimes. However, it is much mroe comvnient than the Oakbrook or Orland locations. read more

I love apple products, but this review isn't of the products. Although some of the employees here have "interesting looks" they are all very knowledgeable, friendly and willing to walk you though any questions you may have with any of your products. When you bring in a product to get an update or has a glitch of some sort, there is no charge for them helping you, they always seem genuinely concerned to fix whatever issues you may be having. Worst experience at an Apple store ever. Dropped off our phone and that portion was fast. We came to pick up the phone after 4 hours and the incompetent rep we spoke to never checked us in for the pick up. After about 30 minutes we spoke to another rep that said he would be right out with our phone and still after another 15 min nothing came out. I stopped another rep and asked for a store manager. Manager came over and stated he would check on it right away. Another 10 minutes went by and finally our phone came out. Stop at a different location. read more

Was an hour early to an appointment, in which I had to wait...seriously. Cable frayed. Homeboy proceeded to explain to me in detail, how charger cables are made. I then explained to him, in detail, how there is a design flaw of the discussed materials, pertaining to their "made in China, distributed in US" cable. I then told him to give me a new one, at no charge. He did. I went in today to pick up a MacBook Air that I purchased online. Everyone was pretty busy, which was understandable on a Friday afternoon. When the woman brought my order to the floor, she asked for my ID and seemed somewhat friendly.. then I had asked her a question regarding Apple Care + because I had a gift card and was interested in not only buying the 3 year plan, but also a case for my new computer. When I asked her, instead of telling me she would pair me up with an associate on the floor or having any response, she just looked at her coworker annoyed, like this wasn't her job. She remained silent until I said I guess I could just try it at home. She walked away and the other employee told me to do that and come back if I had trouble.. After hours of trying to figure it out, guess you can only use the apple gift card in store for Apple Care +.. Thanks. I'm happy I bought over $200 worth of accessories from Best Buy and will be going to the Oakbrook location for help with Apple Care +. Are all Apple stores created the same? Pretty much. But, here they seem to go the extra mile just a tad bit me than anybody else. I like the Apple brand because they are so helpful and always stand behind their products. People can say what they want about Apple people being a cult following. But they support the products that they make and they last for years. I have an old 2007 iMac that I keep thinking is going to die any minute, but it keeps on going. Sure it cost an arm and a leg but it's lasted 7 years where the average PC last 5. And this thing is only slowing down it can last for many more years. I thought it would go so I bought a laptop as well but I still use the iMac every day. read more

This place is fine for an Apple store, though it does tend to get crowded (don't they all?). I went in knowing what I wanted and was out with my purchase within two minutes. I consider that success. In my past experience with apple stores I've seen employees lounging around talking to people, answering various questions, but never helping me make a purchase. I consider the service in the Naperville Apple Store to be a step up from that. However, I have not tried to do a return through them, nor have I tried to get them to help me fix my computer problems. Would I recommend coming to an Apple store for help if something breaks? No, but I'd say that about any Apple store. In terms of spending money, this place is A-OK, but get your computer serviced elsewhere. read more

What's not to love?! (Ok, maybe the prices, but that's a given). I went to price laptops and equipment. I'm a life-long Apple user. I always worry they will bore me with info I already know, but they always teach me knew things. The employees are great about not talking down to experienced users. I'm a big fan of the way they handle working with customer's questions on a first-come, first-served basis. My confidence in Apple Store service has been declining in the past few years, ever since they became more aggressive about pursuing the mass market rather than supporting creatives. The experience I had with the business department of this Apple Store changed that. When our old iPhone fried due to being too close to an overly active humidifier (which Apple classified as "water damage"), Zach and Elliot helped us procure a 128 GB Gold iPhone 6 during the holiday season following its release. We drove from Toronto to Naperville on a trip, visiting every Apple Store on the way (eight total). None of them had this phone in stock. For 6 days Zach and Elliot monitored their and nearby Apple Stores until the one we needed arrived. They went above and beyond, maintaining email communication all the while. I have to say. A new mac owner and I had no idea what help the Mac store was. Went in and multiple people attempted to help me. The woman at the genius bar wasn't anything out of the ordinary. Un-friendly even. The rest of the staff really off-set her! I observed multiple classes going on, and actually learned a couple little tips while waiting for my laptop to be fixed. I would send anyone I know with a mac to this store. Large in size as well, so even with dozens of people in the store you have space and aren't 100% over-crowded with people. read more

I rarely write reviews, but thought this might be helpful since I had 2 very different experiences at 2 different Apple Stores. (I have no affiliation with either store). I brought in 2 iPhone 6's for battery replacement at the the Naperville location. I had an appointment but had to wait 45 minutes anyway. They told me they could change the battery for one of them but they could not service the other one because it was "bent" (I saw no bend and the phone was in a hard case since we bought it). But I didn't argue and said I'd just replace the one battery. He said they had none in stock and had to order the battery and it would take a week for it to come in. The other "bent" phone I brought to the Apple Store in Oakbrook to see what they'd say. The wait was much less and they said the phone was in "great shape" and mentioned no bend. She said they had hundreds of batteries in stock and they replaced the battery in 1.5 hours. When the battery finally came in to the Naperville store (after 2 weeks, not 1 as I was told), I brought it in again. They said it would take 4.5 hours to change the battery (this was a weekday at non-peak hours). They did replace the battery without problems, though, and picking it up went ok. I wish I just brought both phones to the Oakbrook store to begin with. My guess is they didn't want to replace 2 batteries for me at the Naperville store so they just told me they couldn't do one of them because of a "bend" in the other. Both batteries were bad, but the one they picked to repair did have a worse battery. read more

It is very disorganized at this location. I had a pickup and it was very unclear where to go, but my email said "save this to your apple wallet for a quicker pickup" however it wasn't very fast. The line for check ins was also very long and right in front of the main doorways which seems unwise at such a busy location. My sibling went to ask where the bathroom was and the associate passing him who was checking in customers disregarded him and instructed him to get in line without a second glance. That was very off putting and frankly rude. On a positive note, Andrew, the employee who took care of my pickup, was very polite and the stars for this post are only for him. Unfortunately his politeness doesn't make up for the long wait, rude employee, and disorganization. Sorry Apple. read more

This review is not about Apple, it's about the store! I have apple products and almost daily feel like switching, but that has nothing to do with the store. Yes, you go to the store because you have an Apple product or plan on buying one. The store itself is amazing. When I walk in I am almost always greeted by someone that will assist me immediately. Ok, that may not happen every time, but often. There must have been 20+ Apple people working there, which makes it helpful for you to get what you need. They are typically smart and well mannered. If there even is a store for the rest of the places I have products or pay bills, they don't compare. read more

Needed to get iPhone fixed after the iOS9 created a number of issues. I understand wait times and patience. My comment is that it seemed very disorganized and depending who you asked you got different answers. It took also 90 minutes for a 10 minute fix. Making matters worse I think there must have been 6-8 employees just standing around. Maybe they were door greeters are something but they could have helped with minor customer issues If we knew it would be over an hour, we could have left for dinner and came back. Give a pager and let those with long waits go outside or down street. The guy that finally helped was very knowledgable and very helpful. Thx. read more

Absolutely terrible! Apple should be ashamed that they hire people this rude and inept. My wife and I went in with the intention of getting a new MacBook Pro, Airport Time Capsule, iPod and "buds". We knew what we wanted so you'd think it would be easy but nooooooo! We brought our old MacBook in as to have everything on it transferred to a new one but the first words out of the sales persons mouth was "does it even fire up"? After telling her what MacBook we were interested in and that we'd like to transfer the content off the old MacBook she said "you're not here to make a purchase, we're crazy busy". What? Was she serious? What happened to Apple's fine customer support at their stores? She didn't know if the content off the old MacBook could be transferred to a new one....again, WHAT? And she's in sales? So off she goes to ask and comes back saying "maybe but it'll cost you $100 to try". Since she didn't have any clue or answers, she calls in salesperson #2. His first statement after looking at our MacBook was "wow, does it even work"? Not "how may I help you...." or "how are you doing", just a condescending attitude. I closed up our MacBook (which works fine, just wanting to replace it) and left vowing NEVER to step foot in that store again. Will Apple get my business? Yes! My overall experience was great at this location...the staff was very friendly and they got my battery in with no issues...the wait was longer than i would have liked considering i drove from out of town but it's an apple store so it's to be expected...but if i had to visit apple again i would definitely go back to thos store read more

The staff is superfriendly here. They want you to walk away happy and that's generally the case (in my experience). I don't have much experience with Apple Stores in general, so I'm not much of an expert. They didn't get five stars because the guy that sold me my laptop kept saying "Now I'm not trying to push any products on you, but..." and then proceeded to shove a $100 backpack down my throat. No thanks, bub. I just spent two grand on a computer. I'm good. The Genius Bar staff, however, is always very helpful and actually care about what's going on with your computer (and for many of us, our computers are our life links, so that's an important quality, in my opinion). read more
