Absolutely ridiculous and a complete waste of time. People spend thousands of dollars on Apple products and pay extra for AppleCare expecting decent service, yet this is how customers are treated. Someone from the Apple Store specifically called us and told us our item was ready. We drove all the way there based on THEIR call, only to arrive and be told they couldn't find the item and there was "nothing they could do about it." How do you call a customer, tell them their item is ready, and then act like it's not your problem when they show up? No solution, no accountability, and no respect for the customer's time. I am extremely disappointed with my experience at this Apple Store, and the impact it has had on my business has been devastating. I purchased a new iPhone 17 Pro Max and was upgrading from an iPhone 14 Pro Max that contained over two years of critical business data that was not backed up. I was clearly told that the data could still be transferred and that it would take about an hour. I agreed, planned ahead, and returned on a different day fully prepared to spend the necessary time. When I arrived, the employee at the front taking my information was dismissive and visibly rushed. She was adamant about having me remove my phone from Find My and repeatedly pushed me to just transfer whatever data was available and "retrieve the rest later." I very clearly explained that this was a business phone and that transferring all data was extremely important. Instead of listening, she told me I should come back another day. It was obvious she did not want to deal with the situation. She then handed me off to another employee without explaining anything that had already been discussed. The second employee appeared unsure and began asking a third employee for guidance. There was zero communication between staff. I was repeatedly asked to enter my password while they tapped through screens without explaining what they were doing. Eventually, my phone was completely wiped. A full reset happened without my informed consent. As a direct result of this negligence, I lost over $3,000 worth of business, important client contracts, and client information. I have customers waiting on responses that I can no longer provide because their files are gone. It has now been three weeks since this incident, and I am still struggling to recover and catch up professionally. The store offered me a $200 credit, which is frankly insulting given the scale of the loss and the long-term damage done to my business. This situation was entirely preventable with proper communication, care, and basic professionalism. I trusted Apple employees with critical business data, and that trust was completely broken. Stephanie AND Tracy store manager very rude and unhelpful. No stars. Apple should employ people who want to help their customer not be rude and dismissive. Weird vibes. Just call Apple support if you need help. The store doesn't even need workers to run. The employees are just deterring people from going to the store. I hope Stephanie and Tracy get better manager training. Tracy hung up on me over the phone when I asked her to offer me solutions for my iPhone loaner. Tracy and Stephanie only offered me 2 days of extension past the 14 day window but the agreement says, " 3. Extended Return Date. If you have a circumstance that prevents you from picking up your repaired Customer Phone on or before the Return Date, you may submit a request to Apple for an extension of five (5) days beyond the standard fourteen (14) day return period. You may submit a request for the extension by contacting Apple at the location where the Loaner Phone was provided. Upon approval of the five (5) day extension, the extended date will become your Return Date for purposes of these terms, and you will be required to return the Loaner Phone by that extended Return Date. All of the terms set forth in this agreement will apply to that extended Return Date." They said if I don't return my phone by Saturday, I will forfeit my phone under repair by them and have to pay for loaner phone. I was able to see the new device which I much say is beautiful powerful and very small which leaves you with a lot of desk space to work with you. The apple employee I spoke with I forgot his name but was very helpful, genuine and knowledgable about apple products and was able to help me find a solution. Im working on a film and needed advice on finishing the film on an iPhone 16 or 16 pro max. Scheduled a battery repair for 6:30 and wasn't seen until 7pm. Was told that the battery replacement was going to take an hour and a half, and they have to close in an hour, so the only option is to see me tomorrow or have them hold onto my phone overnight. I am only in town for the day, I head back home tomorrow. Why have the option to schedule past 6:30 then? Why did it take 30 minutes for someone to come out and see me for my battery. I stopped by this Apple Store at the Valencia Town Center today. I only came to this store because my wife was shopping at the Sephora store next door. When I walked inside the Apple store, an employee greeted me and asked if I needed any help. I told him that I was just browsing so he left me be. I took a look at their MacBook Pro M3 and MacBook Air. I also went to take a look at the 10in iPad that they had out with the keyboard. They had a nice display of the Apple TV and the Apple desktop computer as well. Just know that apple products are not cheap but they do last if you take care of the electronics. read more

Unfortunately, I paid 40.00 for a screen protector that I could have got for much much cheaper. That was my fault though because I didn't think to ask how much. This review concerns an Apple Care appointment for a MacBook Air purchased new in late July this year. Less than 90 days from purchase, it developed bluish-rub marks on the display (positioned above the track pad when closed so I can't even blame the keyboard). In addition, near the lower right hinge what looked to be white scratches in the black bezel that runs the length between the two hinges appeared, seemingly out of nowhere. It became self-apparent that the "marks" (cracks) were forming in a radial pattern in a location that happens to align with a sharp aluminum corner of the lower "clam shell" when the lid is closed. Perhaps the hinge was too tight or aluminum had a burr (wasn't filed off in the finishing process?). Whatever the cause, the damage aligned perfectly with this razor-sharp corner. "Jay" (real name?) initially examined the MacBook, at which point he concluded that the cracks are not covered under the factory warranty. Bear in mind: I have been using Apple, exclusively, since the mid 1990s and had never seen either one of these issues -- nor have I had an accident that damaged any prior Apple product. When the blue smudges appeared, I immediately Googled it and was therefore aware that it is a "known issue". (Sadly, not uncommon on the M1 and older MacBooks.) So regardless of whether the screen was "damaged" vs. "defective", the anti-glare coating cannot be repaired without replacing the display, so the repair is identical. Nonetheless, it was written up as accident damage and the management used that to justify hitting me with a fee. Coming from someone who still owns a 2005 iPod in mint condition, I didn't want *damage* to be tagged to my MacBook Air history for the life of the product when I know that there was no "abuse" or "accident" to speak of. (No non-approved display cleaners or keyboard covers. No drops. No kids. No use of the MacBook Air as a booster seat!) If the store manager were to have simply said he lacks the flexibility to file it as a standard warranty claim ("defect in workmanship"), I would have understood. But all "Luis" (even his real name?) did was give my partner the runaround. (Also refused to test a battery on my partner's Apple Care + phone without a 2nd appointment and a 2nd 45m drive!) Upon news of this difficulty, I attempted to communicate with the manager by phone -- but Luis immediately proceeded to TALK OVER me. When I tried to get in a word edgewise, he threatened (and did!) HANG UP. In doing so, he denied the ability to ask *my* question: What happens if the display is replaced only for the cracks to form over the same spot due to the razor-sharp aluminum corners near the hinges? Do I get hit with a deductible again? Or a denial of coverage? So why did this appointment consume half a day? Because despite the inspection, Jay denied seeing the anti-glare delamination even though I used a quarter-size Post-It-Note to mark the exact ~3" spot. Jay then took away the MacBook while my partner waited for the store manager FOR AN HOUR. Once the manager got involved, he did nothing to make right. Within 30 seconds of reaching him by phone, with my partner standing right there, Luis told me it couldn't be defects because if it was defective they would "all be that way". (Say what??? By definition "defect" means a product does not look/work as intended.) Within minutes, I was able to pull up web searches that belied his fake "ignorance": There was actually such a big problem with "stain gate" (anti-glare loss) that Apple began refunding owners of earlier models for repairs that occurred as much as four years out of warranty. Similarly, a quick web search revealed reports of MacBook AIr M1s with screen cracks. But even supplying images of other owners with the exact same problem on the same model MacBook failed to prompt a reassessment. (I even learned of a proposed class action suit for screen cracks attributed to "normal use"!) Despite supplying photographic and web evidence that identical problems are not unheard of, Luis refused to change Jay's accident assessment -- which meant charging a $100 deductible! When my partner relayed that I would follow through with this Yelp review -- if not a Better Business Bureau complaint -- Luis apparently didn't even bat an eye. From this I can only deduce that power-tripping is "Luis"' favorite part of the job. (Had he suggested that Apple won't *allow* him take in a MacBook Air under a defect" claim for known issues, there might have been mutual sympathy -- but Luis' only comment was that decisions are made on a "case-by-case basis", which implies that manager's discretion is in play. Because I took out "accident protection" (Apple Care +), management insisted on using up one of only two claims I'm permitted on a $300 "protection" policy!) Bottom line? Jay and Luis are more than happy to gaslight like it is an Olympic sport. Don't make an appointment here if you value your time, money, health and sanity. read more

I arrived about 5 minutes before my scheduled appt time. I was checked in very quickly by a very nice woman who directed me on where to be seated. A young man came out to help me and was very knowledgeable on diagnosing my problem with my I-Pad and the problem was taken care of promptly and I left about a half hour after arriving! I would definitely promote this Apple Store as being very customer friendly and very adapt at handling any problem you might be having with your Apple device. I prefer to buy online and pick up at the store. Eventually during every pickup I tend to ask a couple questions, chat a bit about a product but mostly grab my stuff and go on my way. That's how I like it and this store delivers on that. The only issue I have with Apple Stores in general is the first point of contact. If the greeter is busy or absent from the entry area, it seems it's every man, woman and child for themselves. Looking around confused can be met by darting eyes in blue shirts that seem to imply they're busy helping someone else, presumably going on break, or stationed in their specific area, etc.. and on occasion you reach out to the wrong person and the experience can sour a bit. read more

After having my laptop and phone stolen about a month ago, I was not looking forward to having to spend a bunch of money on replacing them. I had initially purchased both items online and picked them up in store. I wasn't 100% sure that i had made the best decision on which model laptop and phone i had chosen so I had tested both out for a week and opted to take advantage of this locations 14 day return policy. The customer service that I received from Crystal and Janelle is the reason I am leaving 5 stars and taking the time to leave a review. I had expected to be treated in a less than positive way because who comes in to exchange/return an iphone and a macbook? Well, I do apparently. I'll spare everyone the reason for my decision to exchange but wanted to give these two girls a bit of recognition and express an extra big thank you for being so patient, understanding, and willing to help me throughout this process. Based off of the other reviews for this location one might go into the store expecting sub-par service. Ask for Crystal (she was the sales person) and/or Janelle (she was the device set up/transfer person) and you'll be treated like a customer should be treated. I will also add that all the employees that I observed while in the store were working hard and being attentive to their customers. I can't speak for those customers but I would expect them to have only positive things to say based off of their interactions with the staff. Thanks again Crystal & Janelle! All right so I am not the kind of person that leaves a lot of bad reviews I give everybody a chance, I am not a fan of Apple products and I never have been I don't claim to be every time I have gone to a store for Apple I have a problem this is one more reason why I do not like Apple products just because of the way the people are. I placed an order at 3:00 p.m. and the website said I had to be on time and my order would be ready my time frame is between 6:00 and 6:15 I show up at 6:05 and speak to someone that says do you have a QR code I did not get one but I got the email so I showed them the QR code and she said that's not the code let me look up the order so she looked up the order and she can't find it so this point I'm very irritated, for me to have 15 minutes to go to this mall during Christmas is very difficult so I go to this mall i got there at 5:55 I waited 5 minutes maybe 7 minutes for a parking spot I walk in and I have to deal with this so the girl tells me that I can't find your order I don't know what to do you need to call support and choose option 6, really you can't look this thing up and tell me what is going on after I spend $1,500 really she goes well I don't know what to do so you have to call support so I'm pissed and I say okay fine so I walk out walk to my car call support got the automated system I finally talked to someone and she says oh can you go back to the store I'll get I'll make sure they get the order for you right now I said I don't have time for this, the reason I ordered it earlier so I can walk in pick it up for my this is a Christmas gift for my son so what what am I to do so I said cancel the order I don't want an Apple product Apple isn't that good and the people are even worse that work at the store. My only guess is that because I ordered online no one's making a commission on me so there's no urgency or someone wanting to be helpful at this point in my life I don't have time to deal with people that can't help me and can't provide some good customer service because they aren't getting a commission on it. I waited all day for my appointment only to have no resolution for the issues with my iPhone 12. No one greets you when you walk into the store (basic customer service), and I had to find someone to let them I know I was there for my Genius Bar appt. Brayden who serviced my phone, and the other associates were disengaged with helping me (and others) as they all rather talk behind the bar than focus their communication with the customers. Unprofessionalism also played a big role as they would freely cuss as they talked to each other too. I told Brayden what was wrong with my phone, having the screen type on its own, not being able to hear the audio, etc. Nothing they could do to repair or replace my phone since "their tests came back with no errors". I honestly explained the issues which I'm still occurring (after updating it to the latest IOS like he said) and they still cannot fix or replace my phone. What's the point of buying apple care then? The apple team member never introduced herself and wasn't amicable. I told her I wanted the office home and student, she told me I would have to buy it through the online apple store. I told her how I'm transferring data from an external drive and asked if the connections are universal or if I need anything? She said they're universal. I asked for a case for my laptop, she said there are none available in the store for my laptop. Once I set up my laptop at home (mind you, the apple store is a 20 min drive for me), I find that I need an adapter for the external drive. I looked up the office home and student, went to purchase it, but the promo of "get $20 off with a purchase of a new laptop" doesn't qualify. Okay, I find time the next day in between work and my other responsibilities to visit the store again. 2nd visit) This time Nathan assisted me. He introduced himself and was willing to answer my questions. I got the most suitable adapter, they had multiple cases for my laptop (keep in mind....this is the day after, did they restock or was the first apple employee not even willing to check??). When it came to getting the office home and student, he told me the promotion only works when buying with the laptop. Before I became frustrated, he showed me how to access the free version due to my occupation. Cool, I went home. I found that the free version wasn't to my liking. Having it on my desktop would be more suitable-what i initially wanted when I bought the laptop in the first visit. I remembered what Nathan said and called customer service to see if they could help me without having to make a 3rd trip. After speaking for almost an hour to different representatives, they conclude that I will have to visit the store again, bring my laptop, and receipt so that I can "return" my laptop and repurchase it with the promo for the Microsoft home and student. 3rd visit) so another trip to the Apple store. Good thing I live so close and have no job (#sarcasm#onlywayIcanvent). Customer service had told me that they informed the store manager and that the process should be simple. I walk in, give a summary for why I am there, and the apple store worker informs me that I need the box the laptop came in. Otherwise, they can't do the whole process. So if I can come back with the box, they'll assist me. At this point, I've spent more than $20 commuting back and forth to the store three times-for something I should have been able to get easily the first time. I'm not going to make a 4th visit and come across another mishap. There's so many things that frustrated me about this experience, but I will say that Nathan's professionalism is what led my rating to being a 2 instead of a 1. 4th visit) isn't going to happen.
