Switching to Verizon was one of the biggest mistakes I've ever made. I genuinely feel as if these people are robbing me blind. On June 18th I was tired of my old provider and walked in to the Verizon store on Golden Valley. Angel helped me out and we agreed on a free iPhone 16 (after trading in my old one) + $65/month for my unlimited wireless plan. I paid an initial free and taxes plus a couple of accessories. He then helped me set up my new phone and since then my verizon bills (with autopay) have looked like this: July 17th 2025 Bill $103.12 August 7th 2025 Bill $74.45 This month I went into the store and inquired why my bills were so high. Angel and I spent 2hours on the phone with customer service. By the time I left Angel made it crystal clear that my new bill was going to be $55/month from now on. I thought it was finally over. September 8th 2025 Bill $69.12 October 17th 2025 Bill $102.06 I absolutely cannot afford a $100/month phone plan. I don't know if Angel lied to me or if Verizon is just plain stealing money from me but either way the initial deal we made at the store was $65/month + New iPhone. If I had known in advance that I would be paying $100/month I would've just stayed with my old provider. This review doesn't even mention the 2months it took a full team of verizon employees to simply transfer my old phone number to my new phone. What a joke. read more

I usually don't leave negative reviews, but this Verizon store gave me the worst experience I've ever had with any major company. I went in to switch from another carrier after being told about amazing deals--$1,000 off a new phone, a free Apple Watch, and a free tablet with a new line. The employee (I think his name was Angel, heavier-set) assured me I'd only need to pay some taxes and fees, and my monthly bill would be under $90. I trusted him and made the switch, but after about a week, I realized none of what he promised was true. Even after paying over $300 in taxes and fees, I was charged full price for the phone, watch, and tablet. It took an emotional call with Verizon customer service to get the charges for the tablet and watch waived--but only if I switched to their most expensive plan. Now I'm paying nearly double what I was told, and I feel completely misled. Whether it was intentional or careless, this store destroyed my trust in Verizon. 0/5 stars. read more

The $10 credit for paperless is so you won't look on autopay credit card charges when they rip you off. 3 months $200 bill each month promised, got charged $745. Misleading/dishonest sales tactics. I went here because my sim randomly got disabled. He told me that they could fix it but it's a recurring issue with that model phone and I should just upgrade. The upgrade was a good deal so I went for it. I asked for a specific phone and he brought me a different size without saying anything. I had to insist he ordered me the one I wanted. Then he tried to add an accessory bundle without asking. He changed my phone plan to "save me money" but now my bill is $35 more. He insisted on adding YouTube premium because it was a "free bonus". I got my bill and it was $10. When I went to pick up my new phone the other person got annoyed with me because apparently you're supposed to work with the same employee for the whole process. No one told me that and your commission structure makes for worse customer service. read more

Whatever you do, do not, and I say this with my whole chest, DO NOT go to this Victra or any Victra location whatsoever. I came in last week with my husband wanting to trade in my iPhone 14 Pro Max. We explained to the staff, Danielle particularly, and all had the understanding that my iPhone 14 was not paid off and needed to be paid off first before trading in for an upgrade. My husband and I were willing to pay the phone off right then and there. While we tried that, the staff had claimed that there was technical difficulties, and the system would not complete the transaction so what we agreed to do was order the phone and pay my old phone off upon delivery the next week. First of all, Danielle had told us that the new Phone would not be in until Friday, December 5, but that we would be getting a phone call as soon as it came in. That was fine with us. Friday comes around and I look at the tracking number and it says that the phone had been delivered two days prior, but no one at the store bothered to call us. I called customer service on Friday morning to verify that the phone had been delivered and while the store was apparently unable to answer the phone, Victra's customer service had assured me that they would leave them a message and make sure that they would call me back as soon as possible. Half the day goes by before I just decided to head into the store because I still hadn't gotten a call back. At this point, I am at the store at about 1:15 PM trying to trade this phone in, and while I did receive the new phone, another employee (not Danielle) was ringing me up. Danielle had told us the week prior that we would pay $178, and now fast forward to the week after and I ended up paying almost $250 for what I was told included the payoff from the old iPhone 14 that I had. I even verbally confirmed with the employee while she was ringing me up. Not only did she lie to me and tell me that this was true, she told me I could return my old phone there with them. I come back a few hours later trying to return my old phone so I can get it off my hands and she tells me that she can't actually take the phone and then I'd have to take it to a corporate store. Annoyed, yes, because this is not the first time working with Danielle and Victra themselves has given me the literal runaround; however, I left and still went over to my local corporate store. I get to the corporate store and they tell me that not only did the Victra store mislead me by assuring me the old phone had been paid off, but that they actually charged me for an activation service that should've never been charged since I have a business account. We lost nearly $200 for no good reason because these employees are not properly trained and or do not care, which you can tell the minute you walk in. It's really frustrating that you go into an authorized retailer store, who you as a customer trust is a reputable place of business representing the entire Verizon brand, only to find out that these people don't actually care to be honest, decent human beings. It's obvious from the get-go: the minute you walk into this store, you're lucky if any of the employees even look your way. The total lack of friendliness, customer service, and now adding honesty and human decency to the list is appalling. read more

I have been with Verizon for 15+ years and after all these years I can finally say I can't stand them or their customer service. I tried to upgrade my phone an easier way this year but had the worst experience! Honestly thinking about switching to AT&T. They first sent me the wrong color and expected me to return it and reorder it again. That was not happening. Took it to the store to change the color and they charged me more money for something that was not my fault. They never get me the shipping labels in time so I was unable to return my phone within the 30 day period in order to get a $1,000 credit. They said because my old phone wasn't traded in on time that I only received $250. I have literally talked to 6 different customer service people and none have helped. So, I've been a Verizon wireless customer for decades and boy am I disappointed with this (NON CORPORATE) store after todays email. For starters, first, I called Verizon Wireless customer service on the way there because I only wanted a to do business with a "Corporate" store, the customer service Rep incorrectly or lied that this store was a corporate store. Once I went into the store and started the transaction for a new device, I mentioned that I'm glad that they were a corporate store and they said they were NOT! Since I was already there and the process had already started, I unfortunately decided to follow through with the purchase of my new phone and was optimistic that I wont get scammed by this non corporate store and Asurion associate George. I told George multiple times during the transaction that I did not want any insurance, cloud or any other additionally charged optional features. George told me multiple times that will not happen.... Well, today (July 7, 2023) a week after I purchased the new phone, I get an email stating that I will be charged $17 a month for Verizon Mobile Protect. I was steamed, I called Verizon customer service and had them remove that service and I was told that I'm also being charge for "Cloud Service"..... WOW. All the additional charges were removed by the very helpful Verizon Wireless customer service Rep and she apologized. Now, this store should be ashamed of themselves and upper management should look into this practice especially after the customer stated that they didn't want any other optionally charged features. Never again will I go to a non corporate Verizon store and especially Asurion outlets and I'm also the Go-To tech guy for my friends and I will tell them to avoid these Asurion outlets. My phone was stolen Sunday in northern cali while on vacation, luckily i have a husband whos AWESOME and i came home to a brand new iPhone (not purchased at this location) i came to this location FRANTIC because i couldn't set it up and get the service working. George was tentative and SO amazing. He helped me get it all transferred from my iCloud & get the service on the new phone. Unfortunately along with my phone, my debit cards where also stolen since they were in my phone case. I told him i could call someone to pay over the phone but he could see that i had a rough weekend and waived the Verizon setup fee for me! If you go into this location please see George! Clean store, Good location, easy to park. Decent amount of phones to test. Employees didn't say hello to me as I stood behind a man "finishing up his order" or was he? They sat their silently asking about phone numbers ringing. Almost with no words for about 10 minutes. I've been standing here 30 minutes now and haven't seen any movement. I placed an order online and it said my order was ready. This came from Verizon. Yet I can't even get any acknowledgement. Okay. I've been acknowledged and the computer system is in limbo. Can't seem to just pick up my phone. I got an email saying someone picked it up. But I can't leave yet.... Hmmmm Verizon. You need to check out this store and make sure it's up to your standards. Moron of the year goes to the guy working at the location on March 17, 2024 at 11am, who was as useless as 2 shoes to a one-legged man. After 20 hours of no wifi and calls and chats to Verizon, I am told to go to this location to get a new box with an order number. I got there and I was told by the guy that there is an outage in the area and he refused to give a box to me. Is this guy a wanker or what? He dismissed me cause there was an outage but I told him I had been having issues with the box for the last month and he does not care, he wanted me and the other 3 people who were having issues with the service out of the door. Also what the hell is going on with Verizon in the area. We have an outage every few weeks. I told this guy on the call with Verizon I upgraded my service if it meant better wifi. When I got home and called the store she told me it was store policy to have my phone protected before walking out. Asked to speak to her manger and she got terrified telling me she would fix it, but it was store policy. I explained that I no longer wanted her help and I would be going to her manger instead. Called and spoke the the assistant manger and he removed the charges and returned the unwanted items. Can't believe these people do this! Yup. Melissa did my hubby's new cell phone update. Wish I went with him cause this person is a thief! I checked online account next day and $70 charges with no idea where they were from! Called the store as to why my husband was charged for insurance on phone and he never signed for. Really? F you Verizon. I called the store and was laughed at and they said the store automatically charges the insurance. Gee, just call 611 to remove. WTF? Called and they said to call store to remove. Really? Then I checked bill online and see $70 charges for what? Verizon says so sorry the charges will be removed we don't know why they were done. This is thief! Yes, they will be reported to BBB cause if you think they can sign you up for insurance without you signing up then you will be sued. I hate the fact people can have this crap happen to them and 17 year old idiots work there and say well we didn't know them I say you need to close! Why is this allowed to happen? You rip people off and get away with this! I am not the first person to report this. I saw a number from a response and called her today. Waiting to hear back next week. Worst store ever! Did an upgrade and they screwed up my new phone. They did not connect it right, they said the transfer will take about an hour. Three hours later I was on my way out of town and I had to stop at another Verizon store (Simi Valley) to see what is going on and they said it was not connected right. Simi hooked me up right away! Then this store called me back 2 weeks later to say they gave me the wrong phone so I had to go back and get it exchanged again. Meanwhile, I did not return my old phone by mail within the 30 days, I was one day late and they said they can't do anything about it and I will have to pay full price for the phone, I went to another Verizon store in the valley (Sylmar) and they said "that is not true, just call customer service and they will help you" So I did and right away they excepted my phone with no issues. MARISSA helped me and she added insurance to my account without my consent and tried to tell me it was store policy to buy a case, charger, and screen protector. I work retail, I know how this goes. Keep an eye on your account and receipt. There's no such thing as a policy that makes you buy anything. I can't imagine how many people they've taken advantage of by slamming features on their account without their consent. I needed a new phone and called Verizon at 611. We arranged for the phone I purchased thru them but when I received it, it was not the phone I ordered. Since the Verizon store in Valencia has a rude sales staff, I went to the Victra Store which is a Certified Verizon Retailer. The sales person helping me was amazing Her name is Andriana. She worked with me for over 4 hours trying to get Verizon at 611 to make an exchange. They pushed me to take my phone, that was sent to me, over to the main Verizon Store, which I refused to do and they wouldn't accommodate Andriana to assist us with the exchange. After several hours on the phone trying to make this happen, and after several requests to speak with a Supervisor, we finally got to a Supervisor and made a simple change in the paperwork, and finally the exchange happened. Andriana was extremely professional, helpful, accommodating and although I was really getting angry, she never showed her anger at what Verizon was putting all of us thru. I can't say enough nice things about Adriana and wanted to make sure Verizon knew how upset I was with the way we were all handled and how well Adriana handled a very difficult and frustrating situation that could have been handled in a much more professional and smarter way than Verizon did. Sorry Verizon, you need to take some lessons on Customer Service from Victra's sales staff if you want to retain your customers. read more

DON"T GO HERE! HOURS OF MY LIFE WASTED CLEANING UP THE MESS THEY LEFT BEHIND. GO TO COSTCO INSTEAD!!! Yelp exists for stores like this. I just wish I had checked Yelp first, as the reviews would've saved me all of trouble. The day after I purchased two new phones to add to my plan I called Verizon to check on my bill. I found out that this store charged me $45.00 for some type of insurance which I was never told about and would've never agreed to. I also found out that Verizon does charge $40.00 for activation of each phone, but this store charged me $60.00 for each phone. I asked when at the store if they could waive some of that $60 .00 since I've been a customer for nearly 15 years. They said that the $60.00 is set by Verizon and they couldn't waive anything. They could've waived their $20.00 portion but lied and said there was nothing they could do. I went back about 24 hours after my purchase to completely undo the entire transaction - and that cost me $70.00 for a restocking fee. You've been warned! read more
