Recently purchased a Cannondale trail bike from this establishment. The staff was friendly enough in terms of customer service, however the product they sold me is horrible. I explained I was new to riding mountain bikes and wished to make a purchase conducive to one who would be riding at a mediocre level. Price was not a concern as I was willing to pay for a bike that would meet my needs. Covid has made diverse inventory low and I know that but honestly is key. They pushed this bike and obviously I believed them and purchased it. First ride the bike kept shifting gears randomly not allowing me to pedal hard. I could not even go up a hill without having to stop and walk the bike up. Took it in thinking they would obviously fix the bike as it was not working the way it was suppose to. After explaining the shifting problem the man working there didn't bother to ride the bike. Instead he told me I was being to aggressive with the bike and "BMX pedaling" it. He looked at the bike and said the cable was loose from hitting the top reflector and that's why this was giving me shifting problems. They did adjust the cable for free and said not to pedal so hard and that would do the trick. Foolishly believing him, I failed to test the bike in their presence and took the bike home. First 20 feet riding the bike it started doing it again. Losing faith in their staff and ethics I started calling other shops and found one that was willing to look at it that same day. They took time to go outside and actually ride the bike. They said it was absolutely not working properly and had nothing to do with me riding it wrong. I even showed them how I ride the bike and I felt silly after they laughed and explained that I was doing nothing wrong. Turns out this bike was housed with microshift drive train. A cheap drive train with poor ratings. They test drove it and made a few adjustments making it a little better. They said there was not much else they could do except upgrade the drive train and that would cost more then the bike itself. Very very discouraging. I ended up purchasing a new bike a month later. It's very upsetting as I have a 600$ biking that doesn't work. Upgrading it will cost more then the bike itself. Selling it would be wrong as someone else would inherit a problematic bike. How sad that I have a $600 dollar bike only ridden a hand full of times that I can do nothing with but stare at it. If you decide to shop at this store DO NOT TELL THEM TOU ARE NEW TO THE BIKE WORLD. Do not purchase any Bike with Micro shift (Walmart uses microshift on their 100$ bikes). Instead do some research before shopping there. Look for a bike with Shamino drive train. So far it's been a 1400$ mistake and I don't wish it on anyone else. read more

Wanted to stop in to grab something real quick. I knew we were cutting it close with the time but arrived 5 minutes before closing. Didn't plan on staying long. My husband circled the drive way in his very loud diesel and our head lights shined through the glass windows. I ran up to the door 4 minutes before closing and the young clerk had already locked the door. I see her walking away from the door. Less than 10 feet from the door. She had to have locked it as I was walking towards it. I called the store to ask if they usually close up early. She said "well we close at 4 on Sundays". I said "it's not 4 yet. We just pulled up and you locked the door on me." She said she didn't see me (which I know is a lie because my husbands huge lifted truck had it's headlights shining into the store). She made no offer to let us in. I think this young girl was more worried about wanting to leave on time than providing good customer service and making another sale for her boss. I am very disappointed that we wasted the gas to get there in time but the clerk locked the door on us. Because of the bad customer service we will not be shopping here anymore which is very unfortunate because a few Christmas' ago we bought new bikes for the whole family. 5 bikes! This is long overdue. Went there 'cause I goofed putting the pedals on my grandson's new bike. It was his 8th birthday. I knew when to stop though before creating more of a mess. Called and the owner took me right in. He got the pedals in without a problem (though I did see a little sweat on his forehead). He understood the urgency and helped me. I came in to pickup a bike box to ship a large bike. Even though they were extremely busy. I was great pleasantly and courteously. I was able to get two different size boxes as I did not know which size I would need. There was no charge and she even help me take out the boxes to my car. That made my day! read more

So nice to visit a shop and see everyone having so much fun on the job. The employees greeted me just as I walked in the door. I've been there several times and they're always busy, now I see why. The mechanics are so good and know everything from mountain bikes to the pro bikes (which I had). And they told me they were moving to a larger shop, still on Hwy 18, near the Apple Valley Post Office, right next door to the Rusty Bull steakhouse, starting sometime this month of July 2021. I looked around for a bicycle shop to give mine a tune-up. Found this place was the closet to me. Called them to verify their hours and made the trip down there to take my mountain bike. Gentleman behind the counter filled out a repair slip, quoted me a price and said they were a bit backed up but I wasn't worried about it, I'm only off on weekends so waiting until the next weekend or after that, wasn't a big deal, I wasn't in a rush. Beginning the next week, Shawn (not sure of the spelling) called, said bike was done (sooner then quoted). Said there was other things wrong with the bike but it was able to be rode. He explained what else was wrong, why it should be corrected but didn't do the typical salesman pitch. I decided to have him do what he thought was best so all I had to do was worry about riding & not thinking about something going wrong and me regretting not just doing it right the first time. Bike runs fine, I feel comfortable about it and look forward to going back to them for future service or purchasing a better quality mountain bike. Thanks for your time & help Shawn! read more

I bought my wife and I two "Addmotor" E-Bikes at this store and my experience was just wonderful! The owner Kathlene and the 2-boys (brothers) that work there were ultra friendly, attentive, and went out of their way to give us a demo! They are very knowledgeible and were very nice to upgrade some things to make us happy without an extra cost. The bike I bought had some troubles and after I brought it back for repair a couple of times, they informed me they had gotten me a brand new bike! The new bike was perfect! Now that is customer service! That is why we bought from them, first off they are local, they know how to repair bikes, sell them, and are really nice folks, and most of all they stand behind the products they sell. Buying these bikes was a great decision for us. It has gotten us out of the house, helped us exercise and most of all, if we get too tried while riding all we do is give it some juice and off we go! 25 miles per hour, 25 miles on a single charge! I went in to the shop needing a replacement chain as I had butchered mine up trying to reattach it to my bike after replacing a derailleur. The owner not only helped me get the right part and the tool to make the job easier she literally got her hands greasy showing me how to do the job properly. Great customer service. The absolutely best bike place ever. I got my first bike here and love it. It was an entry level hybrid and John put it together with the same care as a high end road bike. A year later the national bike chain store had a less than half price sale on a road bike. They slapped it together in 30 minutes. I am sure pieces are missing. I am scared riding it because I know how a real bike mechanic works. I won't trust the bike until John looks it over. Lesson learned. Trust the local bike shop. This place is amazing read more

We will be customers for life. My husband purchased a bike and honestly, we didn't know much about bikes. We spent a fair amount of money and the guy working there was great and a lot of help. However, that evening, after doing some research, we learned the bike we bought wasn't necessary right for his size or the kind of biking he was looking to do. We were pretty distraught because we spent quite a bit of money and the store has an "all sales final" policy. The next day, my husband took the bike back and the owner could not have been more accommodating. She acknowledged the bike he bought was not what he needed and agreed to exchange the bike for one better suited for him. The cost of the second bike was more, so she credited the cost of some of the other items we purchased with the first bike to cover some of the difference. We still had to pay a little more but we were happy to do so since we weren't even sure they would take the first bike back. It is obvious the owner is willing to go above and beyond to make sure her customers are happy and we could not appreciate it more. read more

Good service in buying my bicycle here and in getting it fixed. Also in having some accessories installed went well. Took a few days but that is ok. Problem is I got my bicycle stolen and forgot to write down the serial number, my fault. I understand that. When I called the police the officer on the phone said he needed the serial number and said the bike shop will have it. I called the bike shop and was told they will look it up and call me back with the serial number. Waited a couple hours no call so I called them. Told the serial number is in their computer and the person who can get it is not here and was told once that person gets it they will call me back. Couple days later no call so I called them back and was told the person who can get it has not done it yet. Thanks! Glad for your concern, I mean really. Meanwhile the odds of getting my bike back is slim as it is and even more so as time passes. Well a week goes by and still no call. I get another bicycle and went back to the bike shop and asked once again for the serial number for my bike that got stolen and was told "again" the person has not retrieved my serial number yet and they will call me when they do. About two weeks later I walk in to drop off some accessories to install on my other bicycle and was told " Oh, here is your serial number." Oh thanks!! Wow!! Two friggin weeks later and I only get it after I decide to walk in. So glad you called like you said you would. Would you have ever called? At this point why bother. The chances of getting my bike found at this point is probably ZERO. I was so pissed at this lady I could not even look at her face. Just give me my bicycle as is so I can get the hell out of your shop. Don't know if I will use this place again but right now I won't because I'm too pissed off. The police were great help too. Told they were sending someone out but only got a call about 20 minutes later, nobody came out. I understand it's a bicycle and not the hope diamond but at least say someone will call if that's what there going to do. Ok fine. When I finally got the serial number about two weeks later from the caring and very prompt Bike shop I was told by police I should try looking around at the pawn shops. Great, thanks for coming out like you said you would and then tell "me" to go around looking for my bicycle at pawn shops. What would I do without the help from the police dept? I mean damn so glad you want "me" to go look for it. It's going to take me a few days to cool off from this experience, unbelievable. read more
