My wife and I have been car shopping at every dealer in town and out of town. The lower rating here was not for the sales guy he was excellent but his hands are tied. The problem is all of their cars have unnecessary dealer markups for things that should be an option. We were looking at a 2024 Ridgeline and it had $3500 in tint, paint protection and other stuff the dealer put on. With the market like it is not sure this dealership is listening. Consumers don't want these dealer markups even if I did they are inflated. Perhaps since they are the only one in town people just pay it. The only option we had at Honda was to put down $1000 and wait for one to come as is from the manufacturer. Needless to say we wanted the Ridgeline but not all the complications. We left Honda and went to Toyota next door. We did buy a car and did not pay for a bunch of inflated dealer add ons I don't want. Sorry Apple Valley Honda you lost a sale because of these add ons. read more

In response to Marylin at Apple Valley Honda, 11/24/25 Thank you for your response. I hope this helps to clarify your confusion. You know very well how this works so my explanation is actually for future buyers. There was no claim by me that the final price was not below MSRP, it actually was, so that is a moot point. MSRP was about $55,300 final price was $51,500. There was a $1,500 discount from Honda so you were paid $51,500 and my purchase price was $50,000 because the paid discount went to Apple Valley Honda. As already repeatedly mentioned, all negotiation discussions were clearly based on MSRP. When contradictory numbers were presented to me, I asked for a correction and was told....by your salesperson....that correction would be done....it never happened. Your dealership offered $8,179 in 'discounts' yet ended up at a sale price nearly $2000 higher than the other dealerships in the aforementioned sales radius. As an example, I submitted an advertised deal that offered $800 less in discounts yet had a sales price $2,100 lower than Apple Valley Honda. How is that possible? Well I already explained how, which you attempted to deflect from, minimize, and not address. What Apple Valley Honda did is INFLATE the sale price to $58,179, offer FAKE discounts of $6,679 plus the real discount of $1,500, to present a false savings of $8,179.......only to end up at a sales price that was in the neighborhood of $2,000 higher than other dealerships. Again, why / how?? Smoke and mirrors created by an INFLATED price, FAKE discounts, and FALSE savings.....dog and pony show. A disappointing, scary and dangerous situation We take our 2018 crv Honda to Apple valley Honda at Wenatchee Wa, for a front axle boot replacement, took more than 3 hrs. We wait there, when we got our car we drove like a half mile to a Walgreens and when i put in reverse only moves a few feet and then my car doesn't move and tried to put on parking, the car still in neutral so we have to push to park on a safe place, we call Apple Valley Honda and we tell them about our car after 4 phone transfers finally a lady said we have to call a tow to move our car to the shop, really? Finally sent 2 mechanics to check and eventually they tow our car we got a courtesy rental, it was Friday 04 18 25, on Saturday 04 19 25 we called about 10:00 am and they said not ready yet, then at noon we got a call saying our car is ready we live in Chelan 45 miles away we got there,and a lady just said you car is ready and that's it, I asked what happened and just said when re installed the from axle didn't go trough and came off, an that's it. No an apology or nothing just imagine driving on the 97 highway 60 mph, With my 13 old doughter and my 10 year old boy, And an axle come off? Really wanted to buy a car in East Wenatchee and keep my $$ local in Chelan county but we ended up buying in Spokane. The sales person (Melissa) was very polite and professional. She asked permission to check in with us by text on a weekly basis to see how our decision making process was going. VERY low pressure. This was not a burden as she had asked about frequency and time of day on the check-ins. We came in a with a Costco program number and we decided we could do better than the Costco price and we negotiated a final sales price that was several hundreds of dollars under than the Costco price. The sales manager in the back room agreed to everything along the way. They said they would find the car we wanted.... (a Metallic Red '25 CR-V Hybrid Sports-Touring). Fast forward 2 weeks and they still hadn't found the car we wanted. Melissa said the sales manager was in charge in locating vehicles and he hadn't found anything. Apple Valley offered to put our name on a production queue and it would arrive sometime in February-March. Hmmmm... I called the dealership in Moses Lake but they didn't pick up their phone and didn't return my phone message. I then called Findlay Honda in Spokane and they checked and said they could get me the car in 1-2 days. I sent them the price Apple Valley agreed to with all the assorted accessories and such. Findlay replied in about 30 minutes and said they would beat Apple Valley's price buy about $1,000. OK!! Next day we drove to Spokane, picked up the car, paid a grand less than Apple Valley's best and final price and came home. The kicker to this story, the car we ended up with was located in Moses Lake. Findlay had one of their car haulers pick up and car in Moses Lake and didn't charge me the usual $750 transportation fee. Findlay Honda wanted to make that sale even knowing that they wouldn't be getting my car for service work. Apple Valley wasn't hungry for my business. Sad. read more

SERVICE DEPARTMENT WENT THE EXTRA MILE. My granddaughter purchased a used vehicle from Apple Valley Honda along with their Extended Service Warranty. When her car developed problems 6 months later, she took it in for a repair estimate - $3,500 to replace the entire exhaust manifold and because there was rust, the extended warranty would not cover the cost. I met with Service Manager/ Fixed Operations Manager Rich Elsensohn. First he called the Extended Warranty Service Center and verified that they would not pay for the repair because of the rust. He asked for and received from them photos that did show rust. Rich then met with some of his top techs and they determined that a highly skilled welder could replace a failed part on the exhaust without replacing the whole manifold. He offered to pay for all the costs of repair less a $100 deductible that she would have paid if Insurance had covered the repair. Rich tried a few Wenatchee area muffler shops and they were not able to do the work. Apple Valley Honda then transported her car 130 miles to the Seattle area where the works was done. Problem solved - the car runs great now. When you look at Apple Valley Honda's website, you'll see this promise: "We strive to exceed every customers needs and expectations on each service visit." People, be carefull going the dealer for services. I do most of my maintenance on my new pilot and standing in line for about 10 min. I couldn't believe how they are robbing people blind foe simple services an avg joe can do just doing a little research. Also be careful taking it in for a fix. They wanted to charge me 3k+ for a new cat converter and egr pipe (2017 honda pilot) becuase of the dreaded 430 code that came up again. I had the injectors fixed already under the warranty but I took it in again bc it had the same symptoms. Anyways the charged me a diagnosis fee and ended up being wrong. On a hunch I cleaned my MAF sensor (simple thing to do) and fix my problem foe about 10$. BE CAREFUL PEOPLE WITH YOUR HARD EARNED $$$. read more

Update: Over the last 4 days I was car-less. I felt like I wasn't getting the help I needed from the dealership. Finally after making a bad review I had someone reach out to me.. She had no clue the situation I was in, because she wasn't informed. Since she found out, she has been nothing but great, helping me. I really, really appreciate the extent she went to, helping me. She sincerely apologized for what I had to go through. I also spoke to my salesman & he said if anything ever happened like this again, to call his personal phone & I'll never have to go through what I went through to get the attention that's needed, he was also unaware of the situation. I would like to talk about my negative experience with Apple Valley Honda, a Wenatchee. On August 25, I saw a truck that I liked. I had a trade-in. After they took my keys and I sat down at the desk, I didn't think we were going to be able to come to a deal so I asked to leave. They had kept my keys and refused to give them back (this is a tactic they use to keep you there). After we came to an agreement, I signed the necessary papers. Part of the deal was they would take the newer tires and wheels off of my trade-in and put them on the truck that I purchased. They told me they could do that possibly within the next week, but not immediately, as they were busy. The next day I got a call, saying I need to bring the tires and wheels in as soon as possible because they had a buyer for my truck. I told him I was working out of town and couldn't come right away and they became frustrated that they weren't getting the tires and wheels so they could sell the truck. I bent over backwards and made arrangements for a friend of mine to take the Lugnuts to the dealership and told them where they could pick up the tires and wheels at the location I had dropped them. I went in the following Wednesday to drop my truck off and was told, sadly, the finance man I was working with had passed away. I offered my condolences and told them no hurry on the tires and wheels, just get up with me as soon as I could. I was then contacted by finance manager, Dylan Lamont Dylan said after reviewing the paperwork, he realized that I owed an extra $1700 out of my own pocket. I told him I would not do that the deal had already been made. He then made the excuse. He would have to go talk to his manager, but he could "probably" get Apple Valley Honda to eat it. He then called me immediately and said they were able to eat that, but he needed copies of my pay stubs as well as me to come in and sign the papers as soon as possible. I told him I would do that as I was working out of town, as soon as I could. I was set to sign the papers at 4 PM on Saturday. I have a second job on the weekends and called him and told him I couldn't make it at four. Dylan began to blow up my phone, telling me I needed to come in as soon as possible, and was on the verge of bullying me. A few minutes later, I got a call from the manager, Todd McLaughlin. McLaughlin said he had read the text and I told him how angry I was that Dylan was attempting to bully me. Dylan told me if I didn't come in and sign the papers as soon as possible, they would rescind the deal. I reminded them they couldn't rescind the deal, as per the "bushing law" they had 72 hours to contact me and they failed to do it within that 72 hours. I don't think they liked that answer. Tod began to scream at me on the phone, so I hung up. this went back-and-forth for a couple of days until finally, the paperwork was complete and ready to be signed. I told Adam Prater, who stepped in and was my bff for 5 minutes, because of my past experience, I would sign the papers as soon as the tires and wheels were put on. Now I'm told that they refuse to put the tires and wheels on my truck until I sign the papers. I know that's what they want but I'm just about tired of them. Their sales tactic and bullying is no better than that of Mega used cars. This is simply my experience, and you may not have the same. Don't come at me because this is how it happened to me. I'm just telling you "buyer beware." I'm not a doctor, but I'm pretty sure McLaughlin needs medication. He flew off the handle in two seconds. Not great customer service. Be smart. If this business thinks that you're stupid, they will do everything they can to take advantage of you. Know your rights. At the end of the day, I guess they win, they got the truck back and they will be able to sell it for what they wanted to sell it for orininally. I don't want to do business with bipolar "businessmen" that want to be your best friend one minute and then talking to you like you're a POS the next. Not gonna lie, tho. I had my car in for service on May 25. Initially, the service advisor seemed kind of arrogant. I came in early for my oil change because I'm not driving much these days and also because the car sat idle for 8 weeks at the body shop waiting for parts following an accident in March. I was given an argument when I arrived and told that I needed to come back when the maintenance minder was at 15% or at the one-year mark. After I said that I could take the car elsewhere, the advisor backed off and initiated the paperwork. I was also given push back when I requested to have the air filters changed and he seemed kind of skeptical that this might be needed. I had explained the circumstances when I made my appointment on line, and saw no reason why it would be a problem if I wanted an oil change ahead of time. Indeed, the filters needed to be changed, particularly the engine air filter, and I also needed a new battery. This time, and the last time I was there, they topped off the washer fluid, and I appreciate that. If I had not come in when I did, I could have ended up stranded somewhere when my car wouldn't start. They prorated the battery, so it didn't cost very much to replace. I asked the service advisor for my paperwork on that and he didn't provide it, so I guess will need to drop back in and see if someone can locate it for me. The good things about this visit were that the communication regarding the status of my car was very good, and the waiting area was clean and comfortable as always, with refreshments on hand. I appreciate the thoroughness of the service department inspections, there is very little that gets overlooked. I was there last April, and this time the service advisors were all new, so that could explain some of the confusion at the desk. Overall, it was a good experience. Thank you. read more

Great customer service from Mark in the Apple Valley Honda service department. We had a new oil pan silicon gasket installed on our CRV before our long road trip down South. In Bishop, Ca., for some reason it just started leaking. Amazingly we found a Honda dealer in Bishop, population 3500. They said they could repair the leak. We called Mark in East Wenatchee at Apple Valley and explained the problem. Without a question he talked to the service manager in Bishop and approved the repair which included a pressure wash of the motor and undercarriage. Our trip and the car motor was saved! I think it says a lot about the character of a business when they stand behind their product and service. Kudos and a High 5 to Apple Valley Honda and MARK in their service department. THE GOOD: Extremely responsive! I live over 3 hours away and specifically worked with Nena in the internet department who communicated to the manager and appropriate people to answer my questions. When I made the trip over to Apple Valley Honda, I met with Alex, the product specialist. We bought a pre-owned Lexus, they sell new Hondas, he took the time to show us things that he learned about the car and let us make sure it was the right vehicle. He was extremely kind, welcoming, and was far opposite of the stereotypical "car salesman" individual. He was professional. I didn't catch the sales managers name, but when I interacted with her she was also great. Also, there aren't many women Car sales managers out there and that was EXTREMELY refreshing to see. The whole staff was able to laugh and make jokes with me and have a good time, it was a far from stressful negotiating experience. The facility was spotless and everyone who worked there seemed to have a smile. THE NOT SO GOOD: Be very careful with the finance department. Know exactly what you're going to be qualified for before going in and doing any business. Typically, I'd just say to let them find you a lender with the best interest rate, but I'd HIGHLY advise to go get private financing with a lender yourself and just bring the dealership a check. I was called almost a week later with news that the rate they told me they were 99.9% sure they could get for me was not possible. Thus affecting my payment roughly $65 a month. They took $500 off the price of the car for the trouble, which I appreciate, but still $65 more a month is a drastic discrepancy between what I was promised in confidence and agreed upon. They advized me to get a co-signer to help with my situation telling me I could expect an even lower payment and intrest rate than origninally agreed to. So I did. Yet again, overpromised and underdelivered with something totally different than agreed apon. They pressured me to go with a lender with almost double the interest rate than originally promised for at least a full week, it was very stressful. Really happy I didnt purchase any extended warranties or GAP that one of the finance managers tried to sell me. When I said, "No thank you." to the warranties he looked at me almost in disbelief. And as we left the dealership he asked us if we realize that our drive home is going to be a total white out snow storm. A last "hurra" for his fear inspiring sales tactics, as if that'd convince me to run right back into his office and buy all the protection he had to offer me. Really thought a "drive safe" would've been the right thing to send us off with. All in all, my sales experience was good. I promised a good review for him. However, I am 99.9% confident that my experience working with everything else (finance department) has been far too stressful and I would be cautious of walking away with a vehicle without a locked in interest rate and lender. (After everything they were able to find me a lender with a lower interest rate than they originally thought they could, but I had to cough up over $800 to get it.) My original plan was to go there on a Friday morning and work everything out, but instead accommodated them by coming in a day later on Saturday. Maybe wasn't the smartest idea after all. read more

Half way through my service, it was determined that my car needed a part that needed to be ordered. Gabby thoroughly explained the situation and offered me free rental or to come back the next day with my car. I choose to come back with my car. They handed me my keys and I came back the next day. Went to have a spare key made, but they would not cut a blank that they did not sell. I expect to be charged a fee for the cut, maybe they can't even guarantee a cut from an outside blank. But it is to much that they require you buy the blank from them at an inflated price. I like to buy and support local, but will go elsewhere or purchase online from now on. I was communicating with online sales about purchasing a particular car, when I saw their AutoTrader ad for the exact same car (even same VIN) for a lower price--a few thousand dollars. I took a screenshot of the ad. But they refused to honor the advertised price. They first said it was a typo. They then changed their story and said that they were not obliged to honor the advertised price because there is disclaimer language on AutoTrader. So don't expect them to honor the advertised price. read more

I'm bummed because when I walked out the door I would have given them at least 4 stars. I didn't like the used car manager and asked not to work with him. The GM listened to me and the Sales guy was great through the process and wasn't aggressive. But hindsight being 20/20, I wouldn't buy a used car there again. We made a verbal agreement (my mistake) on a fix and they only honored half of it. The other item written down was honored. My wife and I needed to trade in our 15 year old 170000 mile Ford Explorer that has worked great for us for the last 10 years. We were looking for a SUV with 3rd row seating and a remote start for the most part. We were shopping online for cars and were going to buy a used SUV in Yakima that had about 45000 miles and was 4 years old for $14000.00. Before we left town we went to Apple Valley Honda to see what they had on the lot and test drove some used cars. We didn't find any used cars that we really liked and were about to leave. Erin (the bow tie guy) told us about the 2020 Honda Pilot and brought one to us and said what do you think of this one. The brand new car price for this Pilot was more money than I have ever spent on a SUV. The SUV has almost every bell a new car has. We took it for a drive and tried out all the cool safety features and loved what the car had. Because of the price of the Pilot I didn't think we could put down enough with a trade and cash down to have the right car payments for our budget. Erin the sales guy told us about the lease option. So how I understand it is your credit score has to be at the right number to qualify. You only are financing the amount of the payments for the first three years which is on the Pilot we got with the cash and trade down is 350.00 a month after tax. That is an amount we can afford. After 3 years if we want to keep the car we can the buy it. At that time we would then have to put down about 3000.00 dollars to then get financing to buy the rest of the car at about the same payments as the lease. I'm only sharing this because to me it was amazing that my family was able to get such a nice updated SUV for a price we can afford by using the lease option that I've never taken the time to consider when buying a car. Move your dealership and all your bad reviews go away? Here is my previous review, went back in recently to look at a car with a friend and not much has changed. Have had two bad experiences with this dealership. The first they had a truck we had been looking for that was difficult to find. Living in Idaho at the time we made arrangements to come test drive the truck and made the 6 hour dive to do so. Upon arriving at the dealership we saw the truck and went inside and asked for the salesman we had been speaking with. We were instructed he was not available but would be shortly. After waiting two hours they let us know he would not be in the rest of the day but we could come back. We let them know why were there and asked if there was anyone else we could deal with and the response we got was not what I expected. That the truck was sold and we should just leave. After talking to the dealerships owners and them apologizing and saying that it happens fairly often they said they had another truck in Seattle and would bring it over just had a few more options on it if we stuck around. So we did and they did bring it and it was what we were looking for. This is when it gets really interesting. We go through the whole process and are getting ready to sign the papers and the floor manager comes in yelling and shaking his cane at us saying the deal was over and we should leave because the salesman was going to give us to much for trade in on our current truck and they don't want it. Moral of everything is avoid this dealership at all cost. I understand things happen and everyone that works there was not at fault but when you have poor management this is what happens. read more
