I usually don't love Applebee's because it's disappointed me on many occasions but this time was not one of them! In my defense I was starving but the 1/2 priced apps were not too bad. I struggled what to give this meal. I ordered the artichoke and spinach cavatetti because I love artichoke. While the meal was good there was NO artichoke in the dish. I asked the server who got the manager and I asked where is the artichoke. I was told it comes in a bag and they just heat it up. She stated number of people have complained about there being NO artichokes in the meal. There was no offer made to comp or reduce the meal. They know this is a problem but do nothing about it. They asked if I wanted to order a different meal. Seriously my husband was almost done with his and since it took an exceptionally long time to get the first meal I wasn't going to sit through another one. Bad bad Shame on you Applebee's. I met a friend here before work and the hostess got me a seat right away. One of the waitresses was kind and got a water for me and my friend before she got there. The problem was that it took forever (~30+ minutes) to get our food and when we got our food it was cold and was not great. I love Applebees. I've been coming here for years. A couple of my favorites from their menu are the wonton tacos and the oriental salad. The servers are great and greet me like family. I especially appreciate that they show respect to all of our veterans by giving discounts on their meals. Go Applebees!!!! I will be a die hard Applebees patron for life. read more

I recently visited this Applebee's and my husband and I received very poor service. Our waiter was Eddie. When we ordered our appetizer and lunch he told us it would be 3-5 minutes on our appetizer, which was Queso. 10 minutes went by and no appetizer and our waiter was sitting down at a table talking to other employees then next thing I know he is walking outside. 5 more minutes went by and no waiter so I asked the hostess for a manager. She came back and said Stacy would be over to help us. We sat there for another 10 minutes and no waiter and no manager. We got up and left and went down the road to Buffalo's and had excellent service and the waitress there got a really good tip! We have given this place chance after chance but have never had a good experience. Either the food sucks or the service sucks. We won't be back and we tell everyone we know now not to go there. read more

I came in for dinner and drinks by myself after shopping on a Saturday, so I chose to sit at the bar. There was a Falcons game on, so the bar area was busier than I've ever seen it at this location. Nevertheless, the bartender, Britt, was fast and kind. She acknowledged me quickly and set me up with menus while making my drink (a Raspberry Cosmo, which is kind of work intensive), taking care of 4 groups around the bar, making drinks for all the other servers, and taking care of a man who decided to come in for dinner and drinks alone as well. I order the same drink every time I go in to Applebee's, and this was definitely the best one out of the dozens I've had. I ordered the French Onion Soup and the Thai Shrimp Salad. Britt brought the soup out to me ahead of my salad, which was great. The soup itself was perfect to the letter. Lots of cheese and bread, and very hot. The Thai Shrimp Salad is the perfect portion for a large dinner salad, and has really nice edamame and a spicy peanut dressing. After my meal, I wanted a glass of wine so I asked her which of the wines was her favorite. She recommended the Cupcake Brand Red Velvet Red Wine, and it was a perfect dessert for the meal. Overall excellent service, timeliness, drinks, and food. Definitely a great place to go. read more

Imagine you are ordering a steak dinner for lunch and you want to omit two veggies for potatoes. The waiter returns to tell you there is an up-charge for canceling portabella mushrooms and spinach in exchange for one serving of potatoes. It happened to my friend. Unbelievable! The waiter spoke in a whisper and my friend is elderly - no sensitivity what so ever. Great parking, lots of available space - worst Applebee's experience ever. I should have known the moment I walked in the door that I should go elsewhere. I was just stopping in by myself for a quick lunch. When I walked in the hostess didn't speak. After about 15 seconds I said " hi, just one for lunch ". She seemed to struggle to understand how I could be eating alone, but she finally said " OK, follow me". When I got to my table and day down, she said the server would be with me shortly. I picked up the menu and, fortunately, found the lunch menu on the back, which was good since the rest of the menu pages were stuck together. The server stopped by and took my order for water, brought it to me, and said "I'll give y'all a few minutes to look at the menu". Bear in mind, I'm having lunch by myself. I ordered a half sandwich and salad, and the wait began. On the plus side I was seated close enough to the server stand to hear them complain about other employees while I waited, so I was entertained during my wait. The other good news is, the wait was only about 8 minutes. The house salad was good, but I honestly didn't know that a club sandwich could be made to be so greasy. I went through 8 napkins wiping the grease off my hands from a half sandwich. I think I'll find a different lunch spot next time I'm in Canton. read more

I visited September 28 with my coworkers and stopped by for a quick drink, it took 10-15 minutes for my drink to arrive to the table which I understand is not the servers problem. After receiving my drink, I asked for my check because I could not stay long. I drank my drink, paid, and left. My drink was seven dollars and some change, and I left her 12 even, meaning a four dollar and some change tip, over a 50% tip. I am also a server, and she complained to my coworkers I was with that I had not left her even five cents. I was worried perhaps my signed slip had fallen on the ground and maybe she just saw the other, unsigned slip. I check my bank account and sure enough, I was charged $12. So, either she put in a tip on her own, or she lied just to get more money from my friends, either way unacceptable for someone bragging about going into management. read more

Somethings never change other than leaking roof dripping onto our table. Service continues to be slow. We got half the food and then 5 mins later the rest of it showed up. Had dinner with my wife last night I would have to say it was not my best dining experience at the canton location . When we ordered drinks I had a tall one it came to the table with a 3 inch head on it I didn't touch it til it settled sure enough I'm a little less than a 1/4 short in the class but I gave the waitress time to see it then I had my beer waitress ask if I would like another I said yes but I don't want a big head on it it's my money I'm spending i would like to get what I'm paying for the second one came about the same but less head I'm no professional but I do know how to pour beer probably won't be back for a while !! I went last Saturday with a friend and we were constantly hounded by our waiter Dylan to order. When we finally did, my friend asked for a side Cesar salad before his dinner arrived with chicken on it. And I asked for a mushroom burger, no Swiss cheese as I'm allergic to it, with a side of blue cheese to dip my fries in. After waiting several minutes, they brought out our burgers, but mine had blue cheese all over the burger with no mushrooms! They took it back, and I had to ask for my friend's salad....once it arrived we were picking at it while waiting for my burger. After picking at it we realized there was no chicken on it. By this time every table around us had been served and new people were seated, still no burger. The waiter stated my burger was sent back two more times for the same mistake! I asked for the manager and this guy comes around the corner with a small basket of fries asking if that would compliment us while we wait?? I told him no, that the place was a joke, the service was a joke and we weren't paying for food we didn't eat. Don't go to this restaurant! read more

This was quite possibly the best Applebees I have ever been to! We were seated and helped very quickly. Our waiter, Darin, was amazing and hilarious as well! HORRIBLE SERVICE. I really cannot believe that a corporately owned restaurant would tolerate the level of service we received last night. My family and I went there to celebrate my grandad's birthday because that's where he wanted to go. It was a Sunday night, the restaurant wasn't very busy and we had 11 in our party. Our server, Alex, came to the table and started taking our drink orders. My sister also ordered an appetizer at this time and Alex asked if anyone was ready to order. We said no, just the appetizer for now. So then she goes to the other end of our table, gets the rest of the drink and appetizer orders and asks them if they're ready to order. They say no, just the appetizers. So she comes back to our end and again asks if we're ready to order. We now get the picture that she's not leaving until we order dinner. So we give in and order which was another battle in itself because she didn't seem to be listening and every single person had to repeat several things back to her. Then she leaves, presumably to go get our drinks and put in our order. However, after 15 minutes, we were starting to think she just dipped out. She finally came back with our drinks and shortly after we got our appetizers. Now, our appetizers were delivered by other waitresses and we had not seen our server since she delivered our drinks. And we didn't see her again until the food came out. My grandmother even said, "You think they'll bring plates for the appetizers?" and my Uncle responded, "I wouldn't hold your breath." No refills, no checking to see if our appetizers came out right - nothing. So the food comes out. My dad and boyfriend got burgers and they both came out missing stuff. My Aunt's food just didn't come out. Big surprise, our server never came back to check if everything was okay. So we began asking other servers for refills, the missing burger items and my Aunt's food. My dad gave up and just started eating. He was almost done with his burger by the time his missing items came out and by the time my Aunt finally got her food. Oh, and we finally got a refill. The server, Alex, never once apologized for anything. We were all so fed up by the end of the dinner we just wanted to pay and get out as quickly as possible. Even my grandfather, who loves Applebee's, was mad. And you're probably wondering, why not tell the manager when he/she comes by or grab them when you see them out on the floor? Well one never came by and we never saw one out on the floor. It was most definitely the worst Applebee's experience I have ever had and probably top 5 worst restaurant experiences I have ever had. read more

I have eaten at several Applebee's locations over the years and the service has always been hit and miss. My experience here was minimally acceptable. We arrived during a time of day when the restaurant wasn't that busy. As we were seated I noticed the floors were pretty dirty and while many of the table tops including mine were clean the floors were bad and when servers cleaned table tops all small garbage was wiped on the floors or under the table. It took entirely too long to be acknowledged by the server and have our drink order taken. The menu prices compared to the portion sizes left me scratching my head. The food arrived quick and was generally good with the exception that the French fries tasted like fish which leaves me guessing that they are frying everything in the same oil. Come on seriously no one likes fishy fries... Once the food was out we were left without an opportunity to get refills until they were bringing the check. Maybe there was a manager on duty out front maybe there wasn't I didn't really notice. Near the end of the meal I did notice that some servers started moving tables and cleaning the floors which was great but by that point for me it was too little too late. Also I noticed each of the tables had a sign pushing some new colorful looking drinks and the sign indicated that if the server doesn't recommend them that we would get free wonton tacos. Our server never mentioned them and just asked us what we wanted to drink so technically we could have made an issue of that to get the free tacos but we didn't. Who wants wanton tacos anyways? I prefer my tacos wonton free. If I were in the area again and I was super hungry I'd go back maybe but I sure wouldn't expect much. read more

Got in at 6:30pm. Restaurant was maybe half full. Told the server we were trying to make a movie. Took 30 minutes to get our appetizer. After 45 minutes ONE of our entrees came out. We waited 5 more minutes and still the other meal didn't come out. We asked for the check because we had to leave. We had ordered the 2 for $25. The manager then decided to take 1/2 off the bill instead of removing the entrees. Negative! We told him we were paying for only the app and drinks because that's all we are. The manager never apologized once nor came over to see what happened. Terrible management! Will never come here again! read more

I can't say enough about how much I like this place. I have been going to pubs for 35 years to watch games and I played darts as a living, so I have spent a lot of time in them. I only say that so you know I have a fondness for a good pub and grill. Although there is no dart board here,lol, the place is one of my favorites. I was also a chef for many years. I believe the food is superb. I love the burgers and the Monday night burger night is priced just right. The front end manager we met the very first night we were there. What a nice guy. Michael Beasley is his name. We had a waitress a few weeks ago who said it was one of their first nights. We found that hard to believe as she was just awesome. Jamie Bond is her name. She even comes over to say hi when we are unable to sit in her area. This IS the place where everybody knows your name. Soups are awesome, appetizers are out of this world. Out of all the Applebee's I have ever been to this is definitely my least favorite. We go here quite often to meet my dad for lunch because he enjoys it so much but I however am not a fan. The food is okay if you get it hot .....the portions are ridiculous for the price. The service is very hit or miss, some days you'll get an okay waitress and then some days you are just out of luck. I have never been where I do not have to ask for something repeatedly or constantly look for a waitress to refill my drink or to get something I need. The wait times to get your food is absolute insanity even if the place is not busy. I'm not quite sure what they do back in that kitchen but it is definitely not cook. They really need to get it together there is too many restaurant choices in the area and if it's up to me I do not stop here, and this is too bad because they have some of the best French onion soup I've ever had so I really have to be in the mood for the soup to stop because I know what I'm in store for when I go here. read more

7/10/16 after seating ourselves in bar area, waiting 15min and still no waitress. had to go to bartender for drinks. waiting 15 more minutes no order taken or waitress. went to bathroom and waitresses was sitting in floor by kitchen braiding each others hair ! 4 of them. still no order was taken. had to go to bartender to take our order. Manager walking around never once spoke to us even though he heard me complain of not having a waitress to help us. 10 years was happy with this location. NEVER AGAIN. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. Gave 0 tip because never once did a waitress check on us. Shame on manager for letting crew get away with this behavior. We were given our check by bartender before we even took our 1st bite. Never had a chance to eat meal to see if we wanted dessert. I feel no one should be brushing hair next to kitchen. There was 3 other employees that was sitting at a table on cell phones. Resturant was not busy so 1 employee could have waited on us. Hire a new Manager applebees. read more
