This was the best meal I've had in like forever. I had grilled salmon with broccoli and mashed potatoes and it was amazing. 10/10 would eat again. The service was amazing as well. Sigh. Another bad experience here. Decided to eat here since it was close to Walmart and Staples (which I was going to shop at after eating). Big mistake. This had to be my worst experience ever. Stopped in Sunday after a softball tournament with 7 other teammates. The waitress was fine, but everything else was horrific. Waited over an hour after we ordered to get food. One guys drink took 20 minutes. Food finally comes and wings were cold, one guys burger was a charred cold hockey puck. Told manager about burger and was terrible at conversation and just said sorry can I get you another, said it wouldn't take over an hour like the other food. Apple bees is good food it's pretty hard to go wrong but the staff are a little rude and they act stupid but the food is good.

If I could rate this place as a whole a 0, I would. We arrived around 2:30pm and the place was dead. We got seated in a section where there was only ONE other table (who were paying their check) so we were the only table until close to the end of our visit. I ordered the $1 Long Island (disgusting) a water, and my friend ordered a mango tea. I got my Long Island with in 3 minutes from the BARTENDER. Then we ordered French onion soup. Nick, our server, came back to get our order 10 minutes later. (We still had no drinks) we put in our order for a boneless app, and 2 steaks with potatoes and broccoli. About 10 minutes later we finally got drinks, and ASKED where our soup was. He said he would check. About another 10 minutes later we got our STEAK MEALS!! (Still no soup) he came back over twice and said our soup would be out shortly. Then the manager (don't remember her name but signed our things CG) brought us our soups, said "sorry it took so long it was frozen and they needed to make new" (3 people got the same soup before we did) at this point I was not feeling well the Long Island was not sitting well with me at all. And I no longer wanted the soup after we had waited over 35 minutes to even receive it. (When it SHOULD have been the first thing after drinks to come out)(as well as we asked more than 3 times if it would be out soon) And had our meals and apps before it came out. We then ordered a second round of 1/2 price apps, and also received those before we ever got our soup. We got our soup right after the second round of apps came out. When nick the server came back I said would you be able to take the soup off the check I'm not feeling well and I don't want it. He said yeah sure. No sooner did the manager come over and said "I hear you don't want the soup is there something wrong" I said "no I just am not wanting it anymore" and she said "I wish you would have told us that" I was surprised that she snipped back and was rude but I did not respond. We asked for boxes and the check to be separate. (As we also told him at the beginning before even ordering anything) He brought back boxes. Then the check 5 minutes later NOT separated.( but told us it was, when it clearly was not) I was furious at this point and said whatever I'll put it in my card, and he went to complete the check. The manager brought it back over, spoke to me like I was a child and was not helpful at all when we voiced our concerns. Gave us some coupons and begged us to come back again. Will not be returning. came to applebees for a late lunch, food, when it finally arrived ( after the runner went around the entire restaurant asking each table, is this your order) was decent. maybe had it not traveled as far it would have been better. do to a miscommunication between the server and one of our party, one order was incorrect. the manager did fix this issuse. also had to wait for silverware, which was then slapped down on the table on top of a pile of napkins. when a restaurant has a server in the weeds and two managers more concerened with their laptops then service it doesn't lead to a great experience. not sure I'd want to try again and there are better options for your dinning pleasures . read more

I used to visit this restaurant once in a while when I lived in PA. I decided to try it again, simply because it is right next to the movie theater that we were at. I have never had a particularly great experience at this Applebees, and this time was no different. It was quite busy for a weeknight, but we did not have much of a wait. However, we had to wait a long time to even get water. Our food also took a very long time, and we ended up staying there for about an hour, because it was so slow. The food is mediocre. My boyfriend's steak was cooked well-done, when he ordered medium-rare. I got the shrimp scampi linguine, and it was very over seasoned. I most likely would not go back, unless it was really the only, or best option. read more

Ordered our food and a couple of drinks. Food was over seasoned to the point of being gritty. When we ordered our second round of drinks the waitress returned and asked if we would like our check, I replied that I would like the drink I ordered. It took 45 minutes to get our dinner. When we did get it, my husband's steak was severely over cooked. Our server's shift ended in the middle of waiting. The new waiter was pleasant, but nothing special. Him and the manager acted like it was our fault that the food was prepared poorly. They took some money off the bill. However, no real apology and having to eat my meal while my husband waited 20 minutes to have to scarf his meal down seems a little less than acceptable as recompense for a disastrous experience. read more

We had always liked Applebees previously and went often. The past 3 times we were very disappointed. One of the times I asked for my steak to be medium. The steak was bloody and even blood on my mashed potatoes. I told the server and all she said was "I'm sorry". I was appalled that she didn't take it back to the kitchen. This Applebee's has awesome servers because I've been to others and they just seem like they don't want to be there. I go often so most know me by name. How do you beat 3 appetizers for $12? You get so much variety and then there's room still left over for their superb desserts. Seriously, try the salted caramel pretzel bites. Even the Churro smores are to die for. Awesome food, awesome people. Never a wait more than 10 minutes even on their busiest nights. It's also nice to see the manager walking around and conversing with folks. My partner and I decided on Applebee's for dinner tonight, WHAT A MISTAKE! The host sat us down, 15 minutes later still no wait staff. Several wait staff saw us there yet no one stopped to take our drink order much less or dinner order. We decide to leave. I decided to speak with the manager and guess what...Waited yet again. Finally we speak, I tell him it experience so he offers to sit is down and wait on us right then and there. I asked him why I would allow that to happen..No response. So my questions are as follows...is there not enough staff? Are they not properly trained? Why is the wait staff all teenagers? Is it because we are a same sex couple? Is it because I am Hispanic? Makes me wonder what the real reason is. I will never know as I won't be returning. I have visited other Applebee locations with no issues what so ever. Was at Applebee's in Carlisle on 10/26/16, not impressed. Waited forever for our food, when the waitress came with the food she had one steak knife and said she was sorry all the other knives were in the dishwasher REALLY! The baked potato was so cold it wouldn't melt the butter. Vegetable covered with cheese was cold and the cheese looked like a slice of plastic. The place wasn't busy, I just think the waitress was uninterested in her job and left our food set while she did something else. Manager was quite the slouch. Never again read more
