Waitress was fine but the food was not good at all. Steak tastesd like it was marinated in dirty dish water. Garlic Parmesan boneless wings tasted nothing like what they were supposed to taste like. Absolutely terrible, #1 when we sat down the table was sticky. when i asked for it to be clean she handed me a wet rag and had me clean it. second thing the food was terrible the pasta was overcooked the sauce was unflavored/watered down. they were vaping dancing and running around the whole time. took 35 minutes for us to get our food (not terrible but its not like we ordered a steak.) also the sandwich we ordered didnt even have the sauce on it. not to mention it wasn't busy atall. i most definitely will not recommend or come back to this place. absolute a waste of $45. read more

I came here last night with my parents, Mom, dad, & and my step dad after a night at the casino for my 21st birthday. I truly had the best experience here. Our server, I think her name was Tamera (I butchered the spelling) is probably the best server I've ever had in my life. She was so cheerful, incredibly helpful, incredibly FUN and truly helped make our night one to remember. The restaurant itself was very cozy, we sat in the bar area and the vibes were very comfortable but that could've been because they were slow and not many people were there. For food we mostly did apps but I did get I think the whiskey bacon burger and it was probably one of the best burgers I've had I want to say ever. THE DRINKS, obviously the reason we came. It was my first time drinking so naturally I wanted to try different shots and I did have a piña colada (delicious btw) and my parents were asking for drinks that weren't super well known but the staff legit went out of their way to accommodate us and our crazy requests. It was absolutely hilarious hearing the staff laughing about the crazy drink names and my inability to take a shot lol. It honestly felt like I was surrounded by my friends that's how great the vibes were. Even though we came out to drink our server (once again she was absolutely amazing) brought me some water because she didn't want me to end up miserable the following day which was incredibly sweet and smart. Just had an amazing cheeseburger. Cooked and seasoned perfectly. That might seem boring, but the other restaurants in town have not been able to provide me with a decent, simple cheeseburger recently. I can only eat meat on rare occasions due to medical conditions, and I really craved a burger to celebrate a good week. With crispy fries. Again, something not allowed with my gut conditions. So it was a rare treat for me that was greatly appreciated. I got both things cooked perfectly and savored the meal. Thank you! I ordered the blackened cajun salmon with french onion soup. When I received my salmon, it looked and tasted like the frozen salmon planks you get from the grocery store. Not blackened. No cajun seasonings. Not even salt or pepper or lemon. Nothing. It was the most disgusting salmon I've tasted ever in my life. If I wanted to have that, I would have gone across the street and got a fresh salmon from the seafood section at Martins and been way cheaper and delicious of a meal. Everyone at my table that ordered a side of broccoli did have to ask for new ones since they were overcooked. Besides that, everything else was fine. Went for lunch today. Got the classic hamburger. Lettuce tomato onion pickle. The hamburger Was ordered medium well. It came out medium rare. And I needed a napkin after every bite because the grease was all over my hands and mouth. No seasoning at all. The French fries were tasty. Charlestown WV I just ate there and all I can say is awful awful awful. The place was pretty much empty. The only thing good was the mashed potatoes. I waited a long time for the meal, the chicken breast had absolutely no flavoring and the garlic green beans were rubbery and no garlic. The apple dessert was mushy and tasted not fresh. The waitress was pleasant enough but never asked me if I wanted a refill for my soda or if the food was okay. It was a challenge to get her to my table to ask for my dessert and check. I normally do not write reviews but this was the worst Applebee's I have eaten at. Appetizer, spinach artichoke was delivered cold. My husband ordered a steak which was nothing but gristle. The restaurant was out of steak sauce. The broccoli tasted as if it had been soaked in salt. He also ordered a oreo shake for dessert which had chunks of ice in the shake. First time we had the 2 for $25: Salads as appetizers, upgraded to 8 oz steak and yummy garlicky potatoes. Second time I went, again 2 for $25: Spinach dip as appetizer Lime chicken and opted for garlicky potatoes instead of rice. All of it was tasty, and worth the trip. Decided to stop by the friendly neighborhood grill, glad that I did. I haven't step foot in one in ages (approximately 6years). The overall experience was great, thanks to the friendly bartender. She provided expectational service and never once strayed from quality service. Half way through my meal, three gentlemen were trying to do some attempting to split the ticket in a very complicated way, she did as they stated and when they got the bill, they began to argue that she screwed it up and that she was at fault, she apologizes and walked them through their request and redid the bill. AMAZING!! Normally nowadays, servers just argue and take a defensive stance (which she has every right too; however, decided the smoother approach). When people around us food started to come out before us, she apologized and went to the back to see why our order was taking longer than the others. A few minutes followed and out came the food. I ordered the 'All-Day Brunch Burger' As it sat in front of me I was disappointed at its appearance and quickly suspected that it would be subpar. Nonetheless, to my surprise, it was a perfect blend of cheese, meat, hash brown taste. A colleague of mine, ordered a sirloin with mashed potatoes and he expressed the same thoughts, appearance wise not appealing and worrisome, however, filled with flavor and very tender according to him. I don't hold high regards for chain restaurants but this Applebee's is possibly one of the reasons why i try not to. Let's start with the service- we waited at a empty host station waiting to be seated for about 2 minutes. 2 minutes isn't that long but during dinner time...to leave the host station unattended, come on management. As for the food, everything came out burnt and steak came out medium rare when we asked for medium well. I know the cooks didn't graduate from CIA but how do you mess that one up? Servers? If you dislike your job that much, find another one, it's so obvious you would rather be elsewhere. Please, my food tastes so much better if you weren't scowling every time you came by reluctantly to ask how our food was... The only saving grace? Lots of space (due to tables not in use) and equally awesome parking because there aren't many cars. read more

We had an appetizer and dinner and had 3 beers each over the course of 2.5 hours...chatting with our friends. We ordered a 4th beer and we were advised that "alcohol service is being cut off for us".
