First of all their service was basically terrible. Then the food we ordered from the 2f or 20 menu was just disgusting. I hated my boyfriend steak it tasted and mushy and our rice was hard. I sent my plate back to get another one and the rice was under cooked the chicken was chewy. The appetizer was barely any good. Save your time money and energy because I'll never get my $36 back and i'll never go to this Applebee's again. Call on a Friday night to do a take out order. To only be told that you would have to come inside to order. Now is it just me but isn't the purpose of placing a to go order is so you don't have to come in and wait for your food. After I arrive I was confronted with the very rude take out server. We were staying at a nearby hotel and arrived late (this was in early 2001), so the only thing open nearby was Applebee's. Not only was the service absolutely *atrocious*, but we were given the wrong food. The server didn't care *at all* and we waited interminably for our correct food (which tasted *really awful*, to make matters worse). At that point we decided we'd rather starve than eat that food, so we told our server - when we could FINALLY flag her down, which literally took about *20 minutes* - that the food was inedible and we were leaving (obviously without paying). Suddenly she became solicitous and asked if they could prepare something else for us. I said "You already *did* that, and it wasn't what we'd ordered!" Then she said she couldn't allow us to leave without paying for our food. I said "Well; we're not paying for the food in *this* lifetime, so why don't you just get the manager over here?" Centuries later (excuse my sarcasm), the manager strolled on over. Before she could say anything, I told her that if they didn't let us just walk out of there, I would report them to their corporate offices first thing in the morning and I'd also contact the local Board of Health re: questionable food preparation (I figured there might be a reason why the food tasted so horrible). Horrible birthday experience. My beer tasted horrible. The bar smelled like mildew as if it had been wiped down with dirty water. I ordered boneless buffalo wings and they seemed to be reheated leftovers instead of freshly cooked. The French fries tasted like fish. Best experience at Applebee's ever! I don't give out 5 stars for chain restaurants easily but this one deserves it. There was such a good vibe about the place, the staff was happy, the food was served hot and fast. Our sever was so nice, she was patient with us taking our time to go though the long menu, accommodating to special requests on the order. She was dancing and singing to the juke box with us and even played a song for us. We had a great time! Got us all in a good mood! Excellent! (and the southwestern ranch is awesome) read more

I had a horrible/poor quality of customer service at this location on my last visit and wrote a review/complaint to the management with no response as well as the survey that comes on the receipt. We were sat in the back corner of the restaurant when we saw open tables available in the middle. The waiter that was taking care of us let his trainee loose and she told us that the tomatoes that came of the grilled chicken came with the packaged chicken and that we could not get the chicken without it. She also stated incorrect information about sides with meals and topping of appetizers. She looked confused and obvious about her guesses when she'd answer us and should have double checked with whom was training us. When our actual waiter came up to us, we re-asked the questions and he told us opposite answers. I was so flustered that I wanted to leave without waiting for my meal. I have worked in customer service for many years and could not believe she was getting away/got away with the way she performed. STILL no response from the corporation or location manager. While i don't expect superb service from Applebees, the service we received was just awful. Our waitress was also the waitress for the surrounding tables, we only saw her when she was tending to them. We got long island ice teas that looked more like long island lemonade. This was my first time here and the service was great. The hostess was friendly and we didn't have to wait to be seated. Our waitress Sarita was very sweet and pleasant. This restaurant is absolutely horrible compared to others in the chain. My family and I stopped here on a road trip to grab some food before a long drive. The service was terrible. Our server(s) seemed completely disinterested, and the drinks took forever. The appetizers were the only decently prepared item we ordered. The entrees were nowhere near the standard set by other Applebee's we have visited. The salad did not seem fresh at all. The fish in the "fish and chips" made me sick to my stomach. I shudder to imagine if I had ordered the shrimp! The restroom(M) had some slippery substance on the floor, but no wet floor or caution sign. I had to try my hardest to keep my balance while at the urinal. I'm happy that the odds of my family or myself returning is slim to none. read more

so i just had a pretty sad experience at my neighborhood bar and grill. i was seated after about 3 or 4 minutes of standing alone and waiting. the restaurant was not busy, with several open tables. after i was seated, i had to wait literally longer than 20 minutes to even get noticed. the waitress walked back and forth from the table across the aisle from me 4 different times without even acknowledging me or looking my way. thats 8 times walking by my table with her head in the clouds. each time she stood at the table across from me for several minutes having a causual conversation, but passing me by. i had no water, nothing. just sitting there waiting and looking like i needed help . the manager came to the table and heard a complaint from one of the ladies that she said well done and this wasn't well done (she wad already eaten most of it), and he wrote it off her ticket. he never looked over either. The dude waiting the table beside me came and went 3 times and never looked my way as well. i felt invisible. i literally sat there for almost half an hour with nothing to drink. finally a lady asked if i was ok snd i told her no. she then went snd got me a waitress who was happy to take my order and the rest of my visit went well. the manager never came to apologize or offer me anything for my very long wait in a restaurant that was not busy. this isn"t the first time i received bad service there. but it was the worst. read more

This place is a joke. My husband and I were given a "dinner and a movie" gift card pack so we came here before a movie at north dekalb AMC. First the waitress didn't know what ounces the beers came in, then she told me they didn't have the salad that I wanted, which was on the menu. We asked for the manager and then she came back apologizing and they did have the salad. She never cleared any plates throughout the meal nor was there a pen provided to sign the receipt, I can give her grace bc she was new...but it all starts with the poor management. The manager was standing around front with 4 other employees sitting on their butts some even on their phones (on a busy Friday night)...when I was a server, if I got caught sitting on the clock I would have been fired. I went here with my daughter on a Friday afternoon. We were seated almost immediately which was nice. We both ordered magaritas she had traditional and I ordered mango. They both lacked alcohol. It's not like either of us is a heavy drinker, but these were like slushes from the gas station. The manager offered us free non-frozen drinks that we accepted. They were both completely CLEAR! This location did not live up to the expectations one has when dinning at Applebee's Restaurant. When we arrived we were told that there's a 15-20 minute wait. This was not a surprise because it's Valentine's Day weekend. However the amount of open tables available in the restaurant & how customers were being told that there was a wait should have been a clue. All the while the staff was very pleasant. Our waitress seemed a bit overwhelmed. She had a table of eight people that ordered before us and another table of people of three who were waiting on the check. The waitress brought our drinks prior to the three appetizers arriving. We had to ask for napkins and silverware after warm food was placed on our table (we never received plates to eat the appetizers). The Brew Pub Pretzels were good. The Sriaracha Shrimp and Double Crunch Wings left quite a bit to be desired but may have tasted better if served at a more appropriate temperature. The tablet at the table would not bring up our bill. The waitress was kind even though it was evident that she was having a hard night (her teammates brought the food out to the table of 8 and helped with our table of two...maybe she had just started being a waitress) I was empressed at how nice the waitress was. read more

The most disgusting Applebys I have ever been to in the United States. Won a gift certificate at work for Applebys, decided to use it for dinner one night. Server was either high or on another planet. The table was sticky and had food smashed into the floor under it. Ordered a steak, my biggest mis-steak (haha). I didn't know it was physically possible to mechanically separate steak into fine shreds and reshape it to resemble a steak. That is exactly what this dry, flaky, shredded, powdery "steak" tastes like. I felt nauseous for hours afterwards. My only comfort being I didn't actually pay for this atrocity of a meal. read more
