I haven't been to an Applebee's in a long while. Usually the business is not that good either in these times , however this location is doing pretty good for what it is. I do feel like this place was understaffed but the service here was average at best. Me and a colleague were here to grab a few drinks and nothing further. We watched the restaurant get packed little by little after 7:00. Staff here was not too friendly at all nor was the service provided all that great either. Drink prices were modest at best. We didn't stay for any food at all so I couldn't make a review on that but overall I thought my experience here was average at best. read more

Excellent greeting, service, food options, food temp and value. Stopped here on a road trip back home. We were tired, hungry and had four hour drive ahead of us. From when we entered the door, our visit was great. The greeter told my niece she is so pretty. To a 16 year old, that means a lot. The waitress was on top of everything we needed. We were in and out in 45 mins. I had the bourbon shrimp and chicken sizzling skillet thing. She got pasta Alfredo with chicken tender without sauce. Two meals, two drinks with tip was $50. Not gonna lie, this location has done me wrong a few times. Since then I have not had a problem. I got a Mac & cheese with honey chicken tenders which is a little weird, but in the end it was very good. Unfortunately it had bacon & I personally hate that everything has bacon these days (especially Mac & cheese, I don't get that) but that was my fault because I didn't read the details. Was no problem just taking them out as I am not one to cause problems and send anything back when there is a simple solution. Plus I don't like to waste food. Also their mango iced tea is VERY good. The server came back and said the bartender said they would no longer carry it. I then ordered 14 hands red blend. Although both are on the menu the bartender said they will no longer carry this wine either My friend got a Moscato (Barefoot) and sent it back. Unable to drink. We all ordered the special but we were told one item at a time. You could not order all 3 items at the same time. This was not as we expected. Initially I ordered shrimp. They were good. My husband ordered ribs. We asked for a second serving I got ribs so did my husband. They came presented on a plain plate and were slide onto our initial plate. We had plenty of meat but the fries were were too salty and cold. We didn't need to eat them so said nothing Our friends got two servings of shrimp and boneless wings. About 10 months ago, we visited this Applebee's and ordered chicken, steak, and burger meals. Everything was burnt and dry, the potatoes were old and hard, and the food tasted stale. Service was terrible, and although we complained to management, nothing was done. Unfortunately, we returned a few days ago to celebrate our son's high school graduation because our first-choice restaurant was closed--despite promising not to go back. I only had a drink, but each family member had a different complaint. I believe our server's name was Maggie. My daughter found her rude due to her tone when asked about the menu, and my son thought she was impatient when he had questions. My main concern was that she repeatedly reached across my chest, face, and head. After I asked her not to, she apologized, but soon after, another server handed her a hot plate directly over my head. They quickly shifted when I looked up, which said a lot. She continued passing items over me despite my request. I also noticed she treated others differently--asking other guests at our table and the one behind us to pass items, rather than reaching across them. She clearly could have done the same with me. Steven was very nice, and tended to us often. He's new, and he's doing a great job. The food was delicious. The environment was friendly. The only thing I did not like was, the manager who brought us our food, she kindly asked if we needed refills. We said yes and she just assumed we both had Diet Pepsi? When we corrected her she still had it wrong. I understand as a manager you are trying to help, but let's open up our ears and listen. She wasn't even the one who grabbed the drinks, our server was. The service is bad. It's not as though they're extremely packed and you understand why no one could pay attention to you. It's a different kind of bad service. We sat at the bar with the bartender who was busy however we had two drink refills - we had to ask for both of them after our drinks sat dry for 10 to 15 minutes. We got two appetizers that we thought we're gonna be half price and waited to order them for 30 minutes and then at the time of the Bill found out that one of them didn't even apply so she didn't mention that she knew we were waiting for half-price appetizers. She let us order anyway. She Never talked to us. Never stop by. To whom this may concern, This Applebee's... what can I say? I believe that this location, in all of its glory, has made a regular out of me. As a loyal customer of it pains me to rate this low. I arrived at 4:50pm, server Tam had too many tables (she couldn't help the amount had). However due to it taking more than 10mins to order with her I placed our 4 orders through the machine on the table. A few minutes later a male manager brought one chicken wonton taco out. However we ordered 4 it took 30mins for our other three to come to the table. When speaking to the manager Ivory she couldn't explain why the kitchen only received one order. Oscar at Applebee's turned a GRUBHUB FLUB into a winner for me! I ordered 3 items for takeout through YELP and thus through GRUBHUB. My order was confirmed by GRUBHUB correctly. I ordered Chicken Tacos, Bourbon Chicken and Shrimp, and Strawberry Balsamic Salad. When I picked up my takeout order, there was no Bourbon Chicken and Shrimp. Oscar from Applebee's reviewed my order as listed on my phone and verified that I ordered all three items and paid for all three items. He then pulled the order sent to Applebees from GRUBHUB; the Bourbon chicken and Shrimp was missing. This meant that I was charged through GRUBHUB for food I ordered but did not get. Applebee's tried to make it right by calling GRUBHUB to correct the order sent from them to Applebees. This is because GRUBHUB would only reimburse Applebees for the two items. GRUBHUB said, "Oh, so sorry," and then did nothing. Oscar went ahead and prepared the missing chicken and shrimp for me, because I had paid for it, even though GRUBHUB kept the money. I love that apples is constantly putting out drinks to go with holidays I usually try and stop by to try that. They had 2 Valentine's Day drink. One a frozen strawberry mango daiquiri and a strawberry lemonade. The strawberry lemonade was my favorite you could taste the alcohol and had a nice taste. I didnt care for the mango/ strawberry frozen drink to much. Our waitress was amazing she was very attentive. I noticed that she remembered a lot of the regulars and what they normally order. I was impressed enough with Applebee's to go twice in 2 weeks. The food and service were fantastic. They have a special where you can get 2 meals and an appetizer for one price. It was a good deal. We got the boneless wings as an appetizer which were good. We both got the rib dinners. We could pick our sides. Each meal came with two sides and we got fries and slaw. Everything was great. How is that I walk in at 11:05PM, after YOUR WEBSITE says you close at 12AM! I have been standing there for exactly 8 minutes before I FINALLY asked if they were closed.... Multiple people that were working there, watched me and my family stand there for as long as I could until I asked if they were open...... they all turned and said no. And I walked right in. And 2. The website says!!! 12AM! I mean, these are the people that you hire to give "customer service"? I always enjoy going to Applebee's and only once had I ever had a bad meal (before today). This time it was by far the worst meal I've ever had, to the point where it was almost inedible. The mashed potatoes literally had a crust on them from sitting. The steak was extremely hard to cut through and even harder to chew and the onions and mushrooms were calcinated. I just ordered an appetizer but honestly it wasn't much food for the price and it had almost zero chicken in it. It was four little chicken like tacos with a real light wrap. My wife had a shrimp bowl which she really enjoyed. The waitress who also was the bartender was really nice and lovely smile. I think the fact they had to close a section of the restaurant which we wanted to sit at frustrated me a little. Mainly because the bar was loud, I wanted to have a quiet moment with my bride. I have been going to Applebees on 96th street for many years faithfully and have enjoyed their menus and staff interaction. Unfortunately there is something amiss with this restaurant. They don't have staff, when they are open it's usually with minimal eating areas. Last night the bar area was closed recently the total restaurant was closed except takeout. I understand getting people to work these days is a challenge but it does not seem to affect the other restaurants in this area like it does this Applebees. I feel sorry for the staff that is working there but I'm not sure they will continue to be my go to restaurant any longer. In Fishers there are too many other restaurants I can depend on to be open. Applebees corporate needs to take a look at this location and fix what ever the problem is before it's to late. read more

One star bc 0 wasn't an option. Just had an absolutely awful experience at this location. Our drink orders were taken immediately, water delivered, our cocktails... 20 minutes later. We ordered an appetizer and entrees and 30 minutes later we have finished our cocktails and still waiting on our food. Finally, our entree arrives... but not our appetizer which our waiter Holden seemed oblivious too. He later informed us that the store had accidentally given it away as a to go order. After sitting and waiting another 20 minutes our appetizer finally comes out to go as we asked. We have now spent 2 hours in a restaurant with maybe 6-8 other tables sat in the whole establishment. We asked since it's now after the time, if we could get our appetizer discounted to the half priced apps price. We were told since it was "expensive" literally 15 dollars they were only going to take 5 dollars off. As a manager in retail myself I absolutely hate talking poorly about people in the service industry. The management of this establishment is a joke. Holden- you were a very kind respectful young man... I strongly advice you look into a job with better management you deserve it. read more

This visit reminded me why we never come here. They are so extremely slow!! The food was ok bit do NOT come here unless you have 2 hours to kill at 2 in a Sunday. They were not even busy. Yes there were people here who obviously came after church bit 2 servers were in our small area and they were struggling with many open tables. Applebee's, you surprised me this time. I headed here on foot since I had left my car at Pep Boy's nearby. I didn't want to walk much further especially in a Walmart parking lot at rush hour. I've just never had good luck with Applebee's, but I just needed a bite to eat and a drink. I was greeted promptly by Mark who was friendly and efficient. He was very easy to talk to and smiled a lot. The bar area where I sat was very clean and the atmosphere was laid back which was what I needed after being in the wind and cold. The Long Island I ordered was mixed very well - sometimes they can be overly full of sour mix, but this one was smooth and tasty. Well done! On to the food. I got the Sriracha Shrimp and a salad with chili lime vinaigrette, both from the appetizer menu. The batter on the shrimp was still crunchy, and the sauce was very good! The shrimp was cooked perfectly - tender and not overdone which can be a hard thing to do even for the best restaurants! The salad was good as well with the dressing. The dressing cup that comes with it is huge for the size salad you get, but I guess more is better if you're a dressing fan! I got the Blue Ribbon brownie that comes with ice cream and chocolate sauce. Oh man, was that good! I love chocolate, and you really can't go wrong with this dessert. I really really hope this is not a one-off experience, and that if I come again, I can bump this up to 4 stars because I'm still a bit wary. Kudos on this visit though! read more

If you've even remotely started reading my reviews, then you've likely already caught on that Applebee's tends to be among the few chain restaurants to which I remain fairly loyal. Yes, I will admit that the menu tends to be paint-by-numbers. In fact, so is the interior decor and the customer service. Yet, there's something relaxed and comforting about the place and I tend to enjoy it no matter where I am. This typically results in a 4-star review, though on occasion I do find a location that isn't up to par for a variety of reasons. I visited this particular Applebee's in Fishers primarily because it was amongst a group of retailers I planned to visit on a fun Sunday afternoon gift card spree that included having used a gift card for this meal. Applebee's lost a star before I even entered the doors. While the design of most Applebee's locations is quite similar, there's some individualization among the restaurants. While most locations have accessible parking all along one side with their "Curbside-to-Go" parking next to that, this location actually has the Curbside-to-Go parking first followed by accessible parking. What? So, individuals with disabilities have to walk/roll farther to access your front entrance while Curbside-to-Go customers get the spots more in the front and, in actuality, a little bit farther away from the front doors? That doesn't even make sense. To make matters worse, these spots are on a serious slant and this is a serious risk for anyone in a wheelchair. I actually had to catch my wheelchair from wheeling down into the street. This is a basic but important design flaw. As you go in the standard two-door entrance, you get to the host area with the typical Applebee's design of bar in the middle and two dining areas to the left and right. As seems to be true of most Applebee's locations, the left area is easily accessible and the right area requires that you go to the rear of the restaurant to go up a small ramp. The ramp itself is workable, but it's particularly weird because this ramp is almost precisely where the side entrance (that is hardly ever used) is located. Again, this is just bad planning. I ordered a simple cheeseburger w/fries along with my usual unsweetened iced tea. My server was Braden, who was friendly but who seemed a tad overwhelmed by his table load despite it appearing the place was about 1/3 full. The food was decent, though not quite as good as usual and the sandwich actually was falling apart on the bun (ie, it was under-cooked). I received one refill with no mention of another despite the fact that I lingered a bit to read my Sunday paper. On the plus side, I didn't get any weird looks for using an e-gift card. There are Applebee's locations where you get a sense of that whole "neighborhood grill" concept. These are the ones where you feel comfortable, feel welcome, and you feel like you can linger and enjoy your meal. Oh sure, they're corporate settings and you never quite forget that, but they are corporate settings with an awareness of good customer service. Then, there are locations that seem to have forgotten the customer service side and focus almost exclusively on the paint-by-numbers corporate scene that almost feels like they have a target goal of how long you can stay at your table. I felt more like a number here than a valued customer. I certainly wouldn't recommend this location for someone with mobility issues. The Castleton location isn't; that far away and it's got a far better design for wheelchair access along with generally friendlier staff. Applebee's continues to be one of my favorite chains, but today's visit was a reminder why I still prefer to go local. read more

We were greeted with a friendly smile and a "Welcome To Applebee's ". Makes you feel good right off the bat. Playing great music and it's just right, not too loud and not too soft. Our waitress came right away. She also was very friendly and helpful in answering a couple of questions that we had. We ordered and it wasn't long until our food came out. My nachos were big!! They were pretty good, but if I were home I would have used a better hot sauce than the Tabasco that they brought me. My husband ordered the Chicken Tenders with Fries and Cole Slaw for $10.99. There were 4-5 decent size tenders on his plate and they were too hot to eat from the fryer. He loved them. Our food was very good and the price was right.
