First off, this is the first time I've ever wrote a good review for Cracker Barrel. Honestly, every time (around 7times) I have been to a Cracker Barrel, something goes wrong. We are out of that, served wrong meal, etc. This time when traveling, husband asked if we could try their campfire chicken. He knows I was reluctant but the campfire chicken was amazing! No joke! Excellent customer service, good food, like always. The manager, Victor, came out to ask about my food allergies and made accommodations for me. They were able to cook my food on a different grill to avoid the butter and oils! Nicole was a great waitress, took good care of us and made sure the kitchen knew about my food issues. Decent experience, not the best! $20 for 3 and a half mimosas. The biscuits were good but dry. The grilled chicken was alright. The handful of fries I was given on the side was kind of disrespectful. Some of the cheese curds were empty grease balls with no cheese. read more

A good Cracker Barrel. The atmosphere is as you expect if you know Cracker Barrel restaurants. Old country store out front with all kinds of stuff and a whole lot of antiques and country decor in the restaurant. I got my order to go this time and it went very well. The people at the front counter were very friendly and had a short conversation with me as well as welcoming me to the restaurant while we waited for my food to be brought out. The food was good. Just down home cooking. I got the mamas French toast breakfast. It included French toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, and ham and my favorite, the hash brown casserole. It was all well cooked and seasoned and I enjoyed it, though the portions are getting a little smaller, as is true at most places. But the prices are still pretty good. read more

Food is basicallly Cracker Barrell quality. It is amazinfg they don't know how to make poached eggs. Service is very poor. People are not trained to deliver customer service. They get defensive and are argumentative. Today I was served a drink to start my meal Instead of taking a refill, I changed what I was drinkin I took a different drink. I was charged individually for the second drink. I cost me over $7 for a 12 ounce drink and a 24 ounce drink. A person I was with ordered a 24 ounce drink and had a 24 ounce refill in completely fresh glass at no additional charge. This is opportunism at its worst. Management was self indulgent and authorized this behavior. Cracker Barrell has a big problem. The server then chose escalate the non solution. A qualified manager need to provide customer service training. We were not considered to be customers by the server. We were treated like competitiors read more

The fried chicken definitely doesn't taste like it used to. Batter is thick/dense, and peppery..tastes like it sat in old grease..

We always love the food at Cracker Barrel. There are also options for folks who have Celiac Disease. The ambiance is wonderful when it gets cooler ~ the fireplace makes it so homey. The service is usually fantastic ~ especially at this location. However, this trip was a little disappointing. We don't fuss because we understand that everyone has a down day from time to time. So, even though our service may not have, and what we consider up to par, it's just a reminder to be nice to everyone, especially those that are taking care of us. We picked up a catering order for 10 for Mother's Day and everything turned out great. We ordered in advance for curbside pick up and they had it ready right on time, everything was hot and tasty. They sent along plenty of butter, jam, and gravy for the biscuits and even included serving spoons. read more

Had to wait nearly twenty minutes to get through the checkout line because the ladies at the register had to have casual conversations and had to harass every person to sign up with their loyalty program. Since the taco bell lady named Jennifer took over this place has gone to crap. From changing the look and feel everyone loved to changing the food. Employees from 3 different locations in 2 states reported to me she has ordered the cooks to prepare food, including the biscuits. In large patches and freeze it. Thawing it out when it's ordered. Had a very disappointing dinner here recently. It wasn't busy when we were sat but we ended up having to ask for a server. I ordered the cat fish and my husband ordered chicken n noodles. At least 4 other parties came in ordered after us and received their food before us. Obviously this is odd so I stop a server (not our waitress) who was apologetic and went to find out what was up. The 'manger' came to our table to tell us she was busy doing the trash and didn't know what was happening. It had been 40mns since we placed our order- No apology- we finally find out that the fish was 'still frozen' and it would be at least 15 more minutes. No other option was offered so I asked what I could get 'quicker'. I ended up getting chicken and still took another 15+minutes. And the chicken was cold- Our server did apologize and our meal was taken care of. Just an overall disappointing experience- The lack of communication between the kitchen staff and server need to be addressed. Hopefully this kind of service will not continue- read more

We stopped coming in for a while because the quality of the food had dropped tremendously and the managers seemed to not even care. Tonight I splurged and ordered DoorDash because I can't get out. I ordered a well done New York Strip and received it almost rare. I contacted the manager on duty Jennifer and she insisted I had to contact DoorDash because they delivered it. I asked her why it was a DoorDash problem when I ordered through the Cracker Barrel App and Cracker Barrel cooked it. She rudely repeated call DoorDash or she can recook it and I can pick it up. I thought about it and called back and spoke to Jennifer again and she said she would remake the steak but my other food was fine so she wasn't replacing that. She did allow me to have my husband pick it up since I cannot get out. My husband called after picking up and said the manager was rude to him also and said she put the steak in the oven to hopefully get it well done. In the past couple months we have also received raw chicken in the restaurant and quietly informed the manager and had it remade. We stopped coming in for a while but recently started coming back to give them another try but this is probably it for us. We really enjoyed many of the servers and even have a few favorites but management has been a mess for a while. Sad because this used to be one of our favorites in town. read more

The food quality and quantity has gone down. My wife and I ordered breakfast and were disappointed. First off a word to our server. Pay attention! We were reading the menu when she shows up interrupts us and says " are we ready to order yet"?. I replied "uhhh I am still reading the menu". She seemed more intent on upselling then anything else. I have given up on Gen Z wait staff. They are by far the worst servers. We thought the food would make up for the subpar service. Nope! The over easy eggs were small, grits a little to runny. Sausage was just okay. Pancakes a little overcooked. My wifes side dishes were a dollop compared to what they use to provide. Sadly the syrup was the best part of everything. After we get home later on I read the article that Cracker Barrel was more intent on profit over product. I can plainly see that. I had no complaints about the "old" Cracker Barrel food but this rebranding is a bad bad bad. We will not be going back and will discourage anyone from eating there. read more

The Cracker Barrel by our house (Fishers) hasn't been very good lately so we drove 25 miles to this location and it was even worse. I was so excited when CB decided to do the Sunday chicken every day but since they started doing that it's not very good. Most of the time it's not fresh which was today's outcome. I got the sampler with the dumplings and meatloaf and told the server not to bring me cold dumplings or fried okra and what did I get? Cold everything. The biscuits and iced tea was good. Mashed potatoes were cold. We also got the Thursday special which is turkey and dressing and it was terrible. And let me warn you about the $5 take home meals they are disgusting. They are packaged somewhere else and frozen. Today is a cold rainy day with temperatures of 57 degrees and instead of the fireplace going they had every ceiling fan in the building at full speed with the AC on. Wanted to give a shout out to this Cracker Barrel location. They delivered a Mother's Day dinner to my mom and it included breakfast in the morning. I ordered the family Fried Chicken meal and it came with mashed potatoes and a sawmill gravy, fried apples, and a fried chicken then as a special deal for ordering it early they threw in breakfast. My Mom and Dad loved it! Doordash delivered it to their home. I expected it to be delivered at 3 p.m. on Mother's Day it actually arrived at 4 p.m. She told me they had enough food in there to eat dinner, breakfast the next morning, and lunch and dinner the next day. That is a whole lot of food lol. Sorry I did not get any pictures as Mom is not too great with the phone but I would definitely do this again. read more

Went there with a friend for lunch. One of my favorites. Love the smell of the store. I especially like the old time candy and their food.I think it's perfect for a family or Sunday brunch. The staff has always been polite and knowledgeable of their menus. Pros: plenty of seating Just a few minutes to wait. Very clean Bathroom was well stocked and clean. Service was great. Knew the menu and was prompt on everything. He was always there for refills, clearing the plates and just checking on us. Food was perfect fresh and correct Cons: The food was pricey but they always have been. Although I enjoy it I do believe they have WAY to much merchandise and not enough space.there is no room to browse and it feels very cooped up. 8 out of 10 I recommend Cracker Barrel I highly suggest if possible to ask for Isaac K. He was our server and he was Great! And as several times before I definitely recommend their dumplings and you've got to try their Southern Fried Chicken. read more

The thing that I don't get as someone who doesn't eat a lot of bread is why can't I just double up a fruit cup instead of biscuits and gravy or toast? The worst food ever!!! My food n soup was cold!! It was sent back twice n still came back close to cold. So then the waitress swapped the soup for mashed potatoes. What's not to love at Cracker Barrel? I love that I was staying at a hotel near here so I could walk over for dinner and see a beautiful sunset on the walk back to the hotel. Same friendly service and store to enjoy after you eat. My food was not as warm as it usually is-I had breakfast for dinner, but I was so hungry and tired that I did not bother to say anything and chowed down anyway. Our food was incredible. Our server Ethan (Same name as mine that's how I remembered) Was absolutely on point. So nice and personal with us while he had a table of about 15 people and a few other tables. Each time he came out of the kitchen I was so suprised how he could fit so much on a disk tray. Very bad experience here on a Sunday morning. Ordered country boy breakfast with steak. Steak med rare. Steak was rare, which is usually fine with me, but this steak was so tough, I couldn't even cut through it. Biscuits were hard and not fresh. Gravy was also not hot and fresh. The usual Cracker Barrel: big, friendly, with decent food. On the way back from Chicago, we needed a pit stop, and swung in here. A meal, some walking around, and back on the road. We had their "campfire meals," which are meat and veggies wrapped up in foil. Came out pretty well; nothing fantastic, but good food and actually similar to what you might do yourself wrapping up a meal over a fire or grill. Tender, seasoned chicken or beef (basically potroast,) corn on the cob (overcooked but tasty,) root vegetables, tomatoes. Wander the gift shop just for fun. Great service!!!! Went with a group of 13 and no had an empty glass the whole time. Our server was absolutely the best. The food was got and delicious. One person got their order messed up but the witness owned it and didn't make us pay for it ( we didn't even have to ask) Its set back behind other business and a hotel, they could benefit from a sign out by the main road that tells you where to turn to get back there. read more
